I watched, disappointed as Ryuu chased around the invisible Deerling.

    "Ryuu, heel!" I called.

He came to me, but looked annoyed at being treated like a dog. I took the Pokeball off of his arm and climbed onto his back.

"Here's what we're going to do. Use Sandstorm so that the sand sticks to the Deerling. Also, they'll be caught in the vortex. If you take me to where ours is, I can tap him with the Pokeball. Let's go!" From my seat on his back, I could see most of the battle field. "This is going to cost them deerly," I added, then yelled, "MUSH!" Ryuu ran towards where the Deerling had disappeared and the dirt around his feet started to churn....

"Good job Crobat," Chris shouted. It was always nice when a Trainer praised their Pokémon. I had a few incidents where the Trainer bad mouthed their Pokémon. Although I couldn’t control what they did out of the park, while they were here I wouldn’t allow any of that. "As a bat Pokemon you can hear ultrasonic waves. Therefore, your sensing skills were top notch!" Chris pulled out a Parkball and heaved it at the Deerling. The ball hit the back of the Pokémon, and just rolled off. Several seconds later, a red light shot out and engulfed the Deer Pokémon into its realms. It was probably a defected Pokeball to have stalled like that. The Parkball shook all but three times before remaining motionless on the floor.

“Congr-!” I started to say, but then I saw Alaska doing the same thing.

"Ryuu, heel!" She called out. Her Garchomp didn’t seemed to like being talked to like that, but it obediently walked up to her. She took the Parkball off of its arm and hoped onto his back. I had no idea what the hell she was doing. First off, it was dangerous going into battle like that. Second, she wasn’t all there right now, so if I didn’t have confidence that her Garchomp would protect her I would have made her get off. This girl was beyond wild, she was something else.

"Here's what we're going to do. Use Sandstorm so that the sand sticks to the Deerling. Also, they'll be caught in the vortex. If you take me to where ours is, I can tap him with the Pokeball. Let's go! MUSH!"

Garchomp ran towards Deerling, creating a large cloud of sand and dust which quickly surrounded the area. Because of that, I could clearly see the Deerling, and I knew Alaska could too because she tapped him on the head with her ball, taking the deer creature inside. The ball shook in her hands many times. It looked like the Deerling was desperately trying to escape. I didn’t blame it for not wanting to go with a crazy trainer like Alaska. She even seemed to be forcing the ball to close and not allowing it to reopen. I wasn’t sure if that worked, but the Parkball finally remained motionless.

“Well, that was a bit odd, but congratulations you two.” I said to them both as Mindbender used her psychic powers to levitate the balls towards me. “Mindbender, my Gardevoir will watch over these until you leave the park. Let me know when you both are ready to move on.”

The ball rattled back and forth in my hand for what seemed like an eternity before becoming still. Awesomesauce. As far as I could tell, the drugs were FINALLY starting to wear off this time, but I couldn't help thinking that Chris or Bumbles had noticed something odd about my behavior. I felt them both watching me out of the corners of their eyes. I jumped as the Parkball was levitated out of my hand.

“Well, that was a bit odd, but congratulations you two," Bumbles said. “Mindbender, my Gardevoir will watch over these until you leave the park. Let me know when you both are ready to move on.”

I started shaking. If Bumbles and Chris knew that there was something wrong with me... Could that mean that other people would notice too? What if someone called the cops?

"Let's get the hell out of here," I said and dug my heels into Ryuu's side. He growled at me. "Sorry," I muttered. "You ready to go, Chris?"

Chris noticed that Alaska's drug effects wore off. He was suspicious that she might be overdosed too often and considering it was his first adventure with her... Chris was worried she might turn psycho and kill him, and Bumbles. Anywho... moving on.

Chris looked up and saw Crobat still fluttering its wings as usual. He decided to return it to its Pokeball for a moment. A burst of light beamed back the poisonous bat and then was slipped back into the young trainer's pocket.

"You ready to go, Chris?" Alaska asked whilst her Garchomp growled a little. Bumble on the other is looking after the Deerling we both caught. I turned to Alaska and said:

"Let's keep moving, time is short afterall."

"Let's get the hell out of here," Alaska said. "You ready to go, Chris?"

"Let's keep moving, time is short afterall." Chris responded

“Alright then.” I said, fixing my backpack. “Let’s move on. There should be a small field up ahead with some Pokémon. I’m not really sure what you came here for, but we’ll see what’s up ahead.” I moved behind them, making sure to keep my eye on Alaska. I had to make sure she didn’t do anything too crazy. Whatever she was on appeared to be wearing off, which only meant she was more than likely going to use more. I wondered if she battled better while she was high, or maybe she was just that reckless and put her Pokémon in danger, I had no idea.

After a few minutes of walking, we came to a small green field with flowers of nearly every color. If they were looking for a Grass-type Pokémon then this was surely the place for that. I scouted the area, trying to see which Pokémon I could find for them to battle. I could have just looked into their files and checked which Pokémon they came here searching for, but I decided to just wait for them to tell me. IN the mean time, I saw two Pokémon they could battle if they were interested.

A large green Pokémon with an enormous plant on its back roared loudly at Alaska and her Garchomp. I wasn’t sure how she would react to that, but it couldn’t be good if she was still a little high. A small Bulbasaur jumped off the Venusaur’s back and moved towards Chris. The small bulb Pokémon didn’t seem as angry as the Venusaur, it looked like it just wanted to play.

“So, you two want to battle those two?” I asked, unsure of what they would do.

So I was now completely off of my drugs. Good. However, I was faced with a giant reptilian flower monster and I was stone cold sober. Not good.

"That thing looks like Bowser at Woodstock. The fuck."

Ryuu nodded in response. "Gar. Gar-gar."

"Yeah, I don't really want to fight it either. It looks pissed. Want to get out of here, Chris?"

The huge plant Pokemon roared at us. It's flower actually seemed to grow bigger as it grew more enraged, which seemed like a pretty shitty defense mechanism, seeing as it was a fucking flower.

After I walked slowly through the gardens with spaced out Alaska and cool ranger Bee. I was wondering what Pokemon I could possibly find. I was hoping to come across something very rare. Suddenly, a Venusaur stomped towards Alaska. She wasn't high at the time, however I was still worried about her. Then, a small Bulbasaur jumped off its back and looked at me to play...

"Sure, that looks cute, but I do not want it," I said to myself. "Bee, take us to rare Pokemon!" I looked at our Ranger with a smile and then hoped to run away quickly. On the other hand Crobat seemed eager to fight it... It was too Adamant for its own good. I looked to Alaska.

"Yeah, I don't really want to fight it either. It looks pissed. Want to get out of here, Chris?" Alaska turned and said to me.

"Sure, let's get out of here," I shouted to Alaska. Then, I waved my Crobat towards me. Venusaur looked ready to stamp on Alaska and her Garchomp. Whilst my baby Bulbasaur in front of me was ready to lick me...

"That thing looks like Bowser at Woodstock. The fuck." Alaska said. Insulting wild Pokémon was not a smart thing to do. Especially when it was angry, and definitely not when you were trying to escape it. That was just making sure it attacked you. This didn’t look good.

"Bee, take us to rare Pokemon!" Chris said. He kept calling me Bee, and I had no idea why.

"Yeah, I don't really want to fight it either. It looks pissed. Want to get out of here, Chris?" Alaska asked him.

"Sure, let's get out of here," He shouted to her when they were pretty much less than ten feet away. I looked over to the Venusaur who was now looking furious. Venusaur charged at Garchomp, its body glowing a bright white and orange color. Venusaur slammed hard into Garchomp, sending the Dragon beast flying back. Venusaur’s Giga Impact caught Garchomp off guard. Garchomp held onto Alaska tight, making sure she didn’t get hurt.

Bulbasaur wasn’t too happy now either. I wasn’t sure if that was his parent or just a friend, but he was now insulted at Alaskas remark to his partner. It he started lashing out vines from his bulb onto the Crobat.

“Yeah, I wouldn’t keep making fun of it if I were you.” I said. “You can either battle it or try and escape while it’s recharging, your choice.”

"Fuuuuuck, we pissed it off," I shouted as Ryuu was tackled and sent flying by the Giga Impact. I nearly fell off of his back. The Venusaur and Bulbasaur both looked really, really ticked. I held on even tighter as Ryuu shook himself off. "Shit, dude, stop it or I'm going to throw up." He stopped shaking momentarily while I caught my breath.

Chris looked nervous as the Bulbasaur was advancing towards him.

"Alright, fuck this noise. Use Sandstorm and then Roar, Ryuu! That way they can't see us and get more scared. It'll be easier to escape."

Once again, the dirt started to move of its own accord and Ryuu opened his mouth, showing his sharp fangs, preparing to let out a primeval Roar.

As I stupidly noticed I was calling our Ranger the wrong name all this time... I kinda shrunk my head down low and wiggled my eyes at Crobat. Crobat was flying around and glaring at Bulbasaur. Me and Alaska tried running, but Venusaur and Bulbasaur were not convinced. The small bulb Pokemon got so angry it Vine Whipped my precious Crobat! The bat could easily take down Bulbasaur if it tried to, however I had other plans for rarer Pokemon.

Alaska tried her combination of Sandstorm and Roar. Perhaps the combined attacks could allow a diversion for us to escape. I on the other hand had a different idea.

"Crobat, use Roost," I shouted. "Let's heal up before anything else happens." Crobat soared through the air and made a loud screeching sound. Purple feathers appeared around my trusty partner and then started to recover damaged. Perhaps this will help defend against the evil Venusaur and the play Bulbasaur. Only time will tell...

"Fuuuuuck, we pissed it off," She shouted. Shouldn’t have come as a surprise to her. There was something about her that made me laugh, but I couldn’t quite figure out what that was yet. She was just so crazy. "Alright, fuck this noise. Use Sandstorm and then Roar, Ryuu! That way they can't see us and get more scared. It'll be easier to escape." She said, sounding impatient.

"Crobat, use Roost," Chris called out to his Crobat. It was a smart thing to do since his Crobat was almost down to half its normal power. "Let's heal up before anything else happens." Crobat began glowing as she landed on the ground. Garchomp was about to use Roar, but then the small Bulbasaur tugged on Venusaur’s leg, asking it to leave. Venusaur almost ignored the little guy, but finally cooled down enough to back away.

“Well, that was a close one.” I sighed. “Luckily that Bulbasaur pulled it away. Let’s get moving now.” I glanced at my watch. “There should be some Snorlax down by the small pond.” I led the duo towards where I remembered the pond being. I wasn’t too sure I remembered where it was, and if I didn’t I could just walk them around until I found it or some Pokémon they could battle. Luckily for them, I was on the right path. After a few minutes of walking, we came across the small pond and two Snorlax were lying next to it like they did daily.

“Want to battle those lazy two?” I asked them both.

"Do you want these two lazy Pokemon?" Leo asked us. I was unsure because of the power these two bears could overpower us. However, I stood brave and thought sure why not. I already have my original Snorlax, which was caught when it wrecked havoc across the region as Godzilla-Lax. Therefore, Snorlax lovers sounds like a lot of fun. I could put them into a circus or something! <3 The pond they lay next to was just a small pond, which they just sapped water from basically.

As we ran away from the annoying saur duo. We came across two, oversized teddy bears. Could it get any worse? Yes, it could they are fat. Anywho, Crobat fluttered its wings rapidly and glared angrily at the lazy Pokemon. Crobat was too adamant for its own good, perhaps a switch of Pokemon might be a good idea! Sure, me and my bat partner had a lot of battles in the past with each other... Beating Gym Leaders with haxy strategies and stalling. I grabbed a Pokeball from my back, trouser pocket and beamed flashed a red light towards my Pokemon. Then, I grabbed yet another Pokeball and tossed it through the air. It burst out a Gengar! This Pokemon was a large, ghost Pokemon with sharp, dagger like fangs. It had the power to levitate and was more powerful than its predecessors. Them being Gastly and Haunter.

"Geng," Gengar shouted and was blinded by the light of the Botanic Gardens. My trusty Gengar was always modest of its powerful abilities. However, when I first caught it as a Gastly I knew it was powerful! Considering me and my ghosty friend have been partners for a long time now. We have even battled throughout 137 battles together. Many wins and many losses. However... I believe it could take down a Snorlax. Gengar has taken down many overweight bears in its massive time and hopefully this one will not be as much trouble! Snorlax overshadowed my Modest Gengar in size and made it scared a little...

"Gengar, stay strong!" I shouted with praise. "I believe in you!" The overgrown teddy did not seem phased by Gengar's strange, evil looks and just seemed to yawn it off. Gengar edged slowly backwards to me, and then it looked closely at Alaska's Garchomp... Garchomp snarled and intimidated my Gengar. Alaska looked like she was very high over the size of Snorlax, so I wondered if I should get Gengar to Confuse Ray her before she takes a stronger dose... That would be a good idea, but I doubt our Ranger friend would appreciate it very much. Anyways, I waved at my poisonous partner and jumped around for a moment. Surely, that made me feel high like Alaska but at least I could control myself.

"Gengar, here's what you do," I shouted to my best friend. "Firstly, use Hypnosis on Snorlax. I know it's a hit or miss situation, but try it!" Gengar nodded modestly and waved its arms rapidly... A giant wave of psychic energy bursted from its bright, crimson eyes and dazzled through the warm air towards Snorlax.

"That's it Gengar," I cheered my Pokemon and smiled. "Snorlax is already sleeping anyways, but if it hits... We will know for definate!" On the other hand, Alaska's Snorlax looked angry and hungry... I wonder if it liked Garchomp or drugs for breakfast. (Assuming this is the morning) I pointed to Gengar and shouted "Good job!" The foggy ghost looked down the tall, grass and was not pleased with its attack. I quickly dashed over to Gengar and gave her a hug. She deserved all the encouragement she deserved. I squeezed tightly and then dashed away before the teddy duo made any movements.

"Right Gengar," I shouted instructions to the poisonous ghost. "If this Hypnosis hits. I would like you to try a Focus Blast." Gengar nodded again and understood. She, then waved around her arms and focused her pierced eyes in the direction of the lazy bear. Her head shook violently and a massive circular wave of energy shafted towards Snorlax... Surely, because it was dozed it might hit? Who knows... I turned to Leo who was behind me.

"Hey Leo, am I doing this right?" I asked him. "I may be new to this, but I wanna make sure... I am doing things like a pro."

After escaping from the raging Venusaur, I had hoped we would be running into something... smaller. My wish was not granted.

"Wow, they're really big," I said, looking up at the green and white... bear... thing. Actually, I had no fucking idea what it was, but it was cool looking, and a Snorlax. Remembering that Pokemon didn't like to be insulted, I quickly added, "But in a good way. You look good for your height."

The Snorlax actually looked quite cuddly. Like a giant teddy bear that could rip my head off. Then I had an idea.

"I know what you want!" I shouted and reached into my backpack, pulling out another Rare Candy. I laid it on the ground in front of the Snorlax, hoping he would ingest the drugs and decide to join our groovy love team. "Just in case this doesn't work," I whispered to Ryuu, "Use Swords Dance. Plus, then you'll be strong enough if the Feds show up." My Garchomp began to writhe and twirl elegantly, but my attention was focused on the Snorlax.

OOC: Okay, sorry, exams are over now, time to catch some monz and stuffs.
    ===

I slapped my forehead in pure frustration, cursing at the top of my lungs. Clucky not only had the type advantage, but had Deerling beat in terms of brute strength. Asleep, she couldn’t use either of these things to her advantage. I began to cycle through options in my head.

“Let’s see… I could try to wake her up myself… but that might not work!” I didn’t see any way I could prevent the effect of the attack from putting Clucky to sleep without getting her out of harm’s way. Raiguy and Astrix were also invaluable members of my team that would be useless if put to sleep… then again…

A light bulb went off in my head. Astrix’s ability would wake him up the moment he returned to his Poké Ball!

“Return, Clucky!” I screamed, as a red light came shooting out of my Poké Ball, engulfing her. “Go, Astrix!”

A blue star-shaped Pokémon emerged from the ball; and just in time too. I could see Clucky getting drowsy. “Astrix, use Ice Beam!” I screamed. I kept Astrix’s Poké Ball ready. I wanted to switch Clucky back out the moment Astrix fell asleep, but for now, this unexpected change could hopefully land me an extra hit, perhaps even freezing the foe. I wasn’t worried in the least; this catch was mine.

    Lightning's Run...

    BP#2

The trainer was definitely frustrated as shown by his slapping of his own forehead, but who could blame him? Status-ailment-inflicting moves were usually the most annoying of moves, especially if it caused sleep, confusion, or if it intoxicated or had managed to freeze the target. It was helpful if you and your Pokemon used it against the opponent, but not vice versa.

The melodic, lullaby-styled tune drifted towards Clucky, who was beginning to get rather drowsy. The Sentret called out in vain hope to help her new friends, but to no immediate avail. It worked slightly.

“Return, Clucky!” Daniel screamed suddenly as a red light came shooting out of a Pokéball, engulfing the Blaziken. He held another orb, releasing the creature it contained. “Go, Astrix!”

It was, in my opinion, a good move. Returning his strong Blaze Pokemon to her ball before she could fall asleep - she gave a rather defiant growl of courageousness before she was sucked in completely. Unfortunately, the Normal-type was not too happy about this. She wailed loudly, frightened at what this situation might hold for her. She was scared.

Focusing on the battle first, the male quickly called out his next command. “Astrix, use Ice Beam!” he shouted to his Starmie. The Water-Psychic-type was Timid in nature, thus explaining how it reacted to the order. It slowly began to gather energy, still afraid of the thought of fighting.

Meanwhile, the Deerling had finished singing to its heart's content. The song floated over to the Starmie as it was beginning to form a small ball of ice... The next moment, it was getting rather drowsy - swaying back and forth. Luckily, a glinting beam had been formed. Just before plopping down to the grassy earth with an audible snore, Daniel's partner fired off what she had of the Ice Beam. It wasn't much but it was better than nothing.

The erratic attack shot forwards, catching the Season Pokemon off-guard as it slammed into it directly. Staggering back up, the wild entity looked on confidently. It seemed to absorb the solar energy from the sun as a sphere began to form in front of its nuzzle. The orb was glowing a bright green color. Once it had powered up, the Normal-Grass-type released the ball of energy with a mighty heave.

"Sentret! Sen.." the Scout Pokemon told Mr. Wiseman in a rather annoyed voice. It definitely wanted Clucky back out there.

Team Run - Alaskapigeon and Fossil Fusion.

    ---

    Commencing...

"Wow, they're really big," She said, "But in a good way. You look good for your height." I was glad she added that last part because I was trying to avoid another unwanted rage battle. At least she was learning. "I know what you want!" I She said, reaching into her bag and pulling out a candy bar. Then she whispered something to her Garchomp. Snorlax immediately went for the food. It was incredibly fast, I had never seen a Snorlax move like that before. I was going to make sure to never get in between Snorlax and food, I don’t want to get trampled on.

Right after he ate the bar, Garchomp’s arm blades extended dramatically. I know knew what she ordered him to do. He just used Swords Dance, so now, his already amazingly powerful attack was just that much stronger. She was definitely going to have to be careful now or she might accidently knock it out, and I wasn’t sure if she wanted that.

Chris appeared to want the Snorlax though, he quickly sent out his Gengar for battle. "Gengar, stay strong!" He said aloud. "I believe in you!" I liked it when Trainers encouraged their Pokémon like that. It made the Pokémon fight harder which in turn, made the battle more interesting I hated watching boring battles. "Gengar, here's what you do," He called out. "Firstly, use Hypnosis on Snorlax. I know it's a hit or miss situation, but try it! That's it Gengar, Snorlax is already sleeping anyways, but if it hits... We will know for definate! Right Gengar, If this Hypnosis hits. I would like you to try a Focus Blast. Hey Leo, am I doing this right? I may be new to this, but I wanna make sure... I am doing things like a pro."

"Yeah, that's good." I said. I wasn't really sure why he was asking me. He seemed like someone who would know how to battle well, but I just shrugged it off. Gengar didn’t look like the type who liked to perform trick moves like Hypnosis. I watched him closely as he hesitated to use the move, but the encouragement from his Trainer appeared to motivate him to use it. Chris was his Gengar didn’t disobey him like Pokémon of his nature would do when asked to perform such moves. Gengar sent out hypnotic waves towards the large halfway sleeping Pokémon. Snorlax just rubbed his stomach and remained motionless. Then suddenly, I heard a loud buzzing or growling sound and Gengar was knocked over. It didn’t appear to affect him that much, and I figured it was Snore.

Gengar then began charging up a small orb of brown energy. Although it didn’t really look it, it was a pretty powerful move. As that charged, the Snorlax on Alaskas side was on the move again, this time however, he wasn’t moving as fast as he did earlier. In fact, he was moving incredibly slow. His right fist was extended back and covered with ice. I knew this wasn’t going to be good if it hit. I looked back at Gengar who had already fired his attack. The orb sort of bounced off Snorlax, making a small explosion. It was supposed to be super effective, but Snorlax just rubbed his stomach again and continued to sleep.

As I watched Gengar use Hypnosis and Focus Blast respectively. I was amazed how awesome she was. All that encouragement resulted in some fantastic hits. This is because of our bond. Pokemon and Trainer working side-by-side. Snorlax yawned loudly onto the floor and seem to have smacked Gengar with a Snore attack.

"Gengar, don't worry," I shouted with a loud voice. "You did a good job and keep going!" I clapped my hands together and my ghosty Pokemon because I was so proud of its strength. Sure, she was a very modest Gengar, but with the right encouragement I can bring out her full potential. Therefore, this makes her very proud in her own abilities compared to her original Modest self.

On the other hand. Leo responded to me with a "Yeah that's good." He looked confused as I asked him this question. I only wanted to know if I was doing things right because this was my first adventure into the National Park. However, Gengar is the star here not me. Whilst Gengar dazzled the Snorlax with a Focus Blast. Alaska's Garchomp seemed to be struggling against the powerhouse. I turned to Alaska and here best friend.

"Hey Alaska, are you feeling okay?" I asked. "I don't want you to falling behind now. Especially on those drugs of yours." I thought to myself and wondered how long she had been addicted to drugs. Sure, she must of had some messed up childhood. This is because she has Violet Gym where Flying Pokemon like to be high in the sky. I guess that's her motivation. Suddenly, Gengar started to breath a little and stared at me.

"What's up Gengar?" I shouted. I really do care about a lot of People and Pokemon. Gengar squeaked for a moment and then started to wave its arms. I believe my partner had an idea. Sure, I do not speak Pokemon language I know when she has something planned by when she waves those shadowy, arms around. Similarly, her shiny, sharp fangs clank together and reveal a cheeky grin. Snorlax seemed to not be phased by Gengar's scary looks or vicious poisonous atmosphere.

I remembered 5 years ago when I had Gastly fight a vicious, overweight teddy bear of doom. This Snorlax was known as Godzilla-Lax. That monster was evil and ripped through towns, buildings, and even ate people because it was that vicious. Thankfully, the National Park Pokemon are not so psychotic. I was so scared back then, and when I battled the trainer who controlled it was... so terrifying.

"I remember that Jack," I said to myself and looked at the grassy, overgrown garden. Jack was a strong trainer who wanted to make millions of dollars, and destroy the world with a single Snorlax. That trainer Jack seemed to rape women as well. Is it me or does this sound Alaska's cup of tea. Not the raping part but the psychoticness. The strange thing is, the Jack trainer dressed like me and was my imposter!

When I was told to battle my imposter I was awarded the Snag Machine. Similar to the one that existed in the Orre Region. I was able to use the machine to snag away that evil trainer's Godzilla-Lax for myself. Then, I wanted to treat it right and therefore make it less angry! Now that was a mission in itself.

Sure, the battle face-off against Snorlax was scary but I will describe that later when I feel up to talking about it.

"Okay, Gengar," I said softly. "See that sleeping Snorlax over there? Why not eat its dreams?" Gengar nodded in agreement. I had never seen her so confident as this against such a strong Pokemon. The shadowy ghost waved its purple hands and then awaited my instruction.

"Dream Eater now!" I shouted whilst I pointed at the sleeping creature. Gengar levitated quickly in the direction of Snorlax. It opened its mouth and spat out its rosy tongue at the sleeping beauty. Sleeping beauty... sure why not. Alaska looked high and quiet as her Snorlax seemed a problem. I would help her out, but I think she has a hidden inner strength. The teddy bear yawned loudly, which caused the grass to rustle rapidly. Leo stood back silently and watched us. Perhaps this Ranger had an evil plan behind that look of his. Only time will tell.

I turned to Alaska again for a moment just see how she was feeling. "Hey Alaska. How are you feeling?" I wondered if I would get a quick, clean response. In contrast to a drugged up, slurred speech that came out of no where or means nothing. I wonder what her mother is like or was this girl found under a tree. Anyways back to the Battlefield!

"Gengar that was a night shot with Dream Eater," I shouted. However, would it hit or not is in Gengar's hands. "Gengar, let's make sure it does not do anything silly and put you to sleep!" I shouted to my foggy ghost as it turned around. I remember its favourite move was Taunt, however being Modest it came at a price.

"Taunt, now," I shouted. Sher quickly waved her hand around rapidly within the hot atmosphere of the gardens. The Snorlax was the target, and might be forced to use physical attacks that do damage compared to specials. My plan was to force Snorlax to attack and I can then work on its damage as well. On the other hand, Sleep Talk might be zapped if it gets a non-damaging move. Always worth a shot!

At the last second, Clefable suddenly jumped in between the decoy's horns, and somersaulted herself over its back. She put her right pointer finger to her mouth and back down in a relatively fast motion, and a stream of fire blasted out of her mouth after that. The spiraling flames directed towards the real Bouffalant, whom could only soak up all the glory of the fire attack.

Once the attack was finished, I quickly raised my arms in a throwing motion, and flung the Park Ball forward. It slapped the Bouffalant on the cheek and absorbed it with a red and white flash. This time, I was brought to Gallade's fidgety instead, for it had nudged Chain while probably communicating telepathically again. From their next course of action, I could tell that the Gallade had wanted to return to its Pokeball. I wasn't sure if it was just tired, or that it was bored out watching our battle, but I wouldn't blame it anyway.

This was over however, for the ball had stopped shaking. Compared to previous captures, the time that the ball took to shake was shorter than usual - the capture was highly successful. Chain walked over to the Park Ball and picked it up to place it inside his bag. Even though I had really wanted to introduce me and my Pokemon friends to our new Bouffalant, I had to wait till the end of the park expedition. Heck, I would have asked to leave early now since I caught what I wanted, but my ranger had hinted me a few times that I might want to stay. No harm staying anyway. I could catch a few more Pokemon; either to place them in my team, or to use as a trade bait.

"Congratulations on your Bouffalant capture, I'm glad you got what you came for!" Chain exclaimed. "Interested in seeing what else we can stumble across?"

"Yeah sure, let's keep moving!" I replied enthusiastically.

"Yeah, sure, let's keep moving!" Ataro said, quite enthusiastically. I was glad to see that he didn't intend to leave the expedition early - some Trainers left as soon as they caught the Pokemon they were looking for, which I didn't really understand. If you left with only one Pokemon, you hadn't got all you paid for.

"Alright then, onwards," I muttered, leading Ataro away from the plains. There wasn't much else to see out here now that he had caught the Bouffalant he desired, so I decided to lead him down the next path out of here.

We walked along the edge of the plains. They were to our left, and along our right was a hedge that separated the cultivated beauty of the Gardens from its raw, primeval parts. After a few minutes I saw one of the arches in the path that allowed travel through the hedge. I pointed it out to Ataro, and we veered right, through the hedge.

Immediately after going through it, a small brown-and-cream rabbit bounced up to us on its hind legs. It had small black eyes and long brown ears that ended in a puff of cream-coloured fur. The Buneary bleated a greeting and bounced around Ataro's legs playfully.

"This is a lively little one," I chuckled. "Interested in trying to capture it?"
