"Why did you kidnap her?" I asked. "What is it that you want from her, or from us? Or do you just love to see things suffer? Whatever your reason is, I’ll stop you and get her back." He said desperately - I figured it wasn't really of a question since he didn't bothered waiting for any reply. He then took a careful look at his Pokeballs, as if to decide his choice of Pokemon for this battle. At the same time, he pulled out a red device - a Pokedex, and aimed it towards the Golett.

Golett, the Automaton Pokémon – Number six hundred twenty-two. They are part Ground and part Ghost. They weight around two hundred pounds and are just about a meter high. The energy that burns inside it enables it to move, but no one has yet been able to identify this energy. These Pokémon are thought to have been created by the science of an ancient and mysterious civilization. How they came about to making this Pokémon is still unclear. Some say it’s a type of magic, while others believe in the science. These Pokémon have not been studied thoroughly enough for a more accurate reading.

"Powerglide, you’re up," he said after a short while of thinking, and tossed the Pokemon's Pokeball into the air. The sudden flash of white light revealed a Togekiss once it cleared, and the usually cheerful Togekiss simply glared expressionless at the Golett. "Start off with Shadow Ball, when you see an opening, send off Yawn."

The Togekiss quickly created the orb of black energy in its mouth and as it fired it out; it flew towards the Golett and started cackling with small sparks of blue electrical energy. Without wasting any time to see if the attack had managed to connected, she released a series of baby-pink bubbles from her mouth, and they floated towards the Golett alluringly. It was Yawn.

On Golett's side however, the same attack had been performed and the translucent fist flew towards Togekiss once again. The attack crashed midway though, and connected with Togekiss' Shadow Ball. The Shadow Punch seemed to have pushed back the ball, as they struggle with their opposing forces for a while, but Shadow Punch seemed to have more power. I assumed it was partly because Shadow Punch was a connected attack, unlike Shadow Ball. While using Shadow Punch, the user would still be able to control the attack since it was connected - as I can see from the trail of shadow energy. Both the ball and punch were reflected and blasted towards the Togekiss, cutting through a huge Yawn bubble. Togekiss didn't seemed to have expected that and upon impact, the attack created an explosion and pushed Togekiss all the way back at the same time.

Even though Normal-type Pokemon sometimes had the ability to not be affected by Ghost-types, there were also occasional exceptions. Sometimes, an attack would be so strong that it would be able to overpower the usual physics of Pokemon types and resistances. In this case, the Shadow Ball was of Togekiss' own power and that seemed to have magnified the impact, along with the force of Shadow Punch pushing the attack. I looked at the Togekiss, whom had fallen to the ground from that sudden impact. It looked pretty ruffled up from that deflected attack, but still had the look of determination on its face to help its trainer capture the Golett.

Meanwhile, the remaining bubbles of Yawn had surrounded Golett completely. The Pokemon hasn't expected an attack right after the Shadow Ball and was taken aback. As the bubble popped upon contact, a series of invisible pink powder exploded and the Golett started to waver drowsily on the field. Yawn had the ability to force the target to sleep, except that it usually took a turn to completely work its magic. I watched as I continue to wait for Cameron's next course of action.

Shadow Ball had failed, but Yawn managed to go through. I was a bit surprised, but I assumed that he was too occupied. Powerglide got hit by a Ghost type move, which took me by surprise. I hadn't expected a Ghost type move to hit a Normal type. Golett was definitely proving to be as tough as the other Pokemon made him out to be.

"Alright Powerglide, now I just want you to stay as far back as you can then go in with Extreme-.." I said, stopping myself. Clearly I wasn't thinking clearly. If I had her use Extremespeed, she'd without a doubt crash into a wall or something. "Okay, just wait until it falls asleep, then go in and use Shadow Ball as hard as you can, but not so hard that it knocks it out. So, just hit it as hard as you can without knocking it out. You've seen how strong it is, so you know how much more or less it can take."

Powerglide nodded as she moved closer towards the Golett. She didn't let her guard down for even a second. Quickly, she began charging another ghastly orb of dark energy. The sparks coming off this one were much bigger than before. She was going to deliver a stronger blow this time, but after he fell asleep. ​

"Alright Powerglide, now I just want you to stay as far back as you can then go in with Extreme-.." Cameron said, albeit suddenly stopping abruptly. The Togekiss waited for its trainer's moves at the same time, knowing that its trainer must have had second thoughts. "Okay, just wait until it falls asleep, then go in and use Shadow Ball as hard as you can, but not so hard that it knocks it out. So, just hit it as hard as you can without knocking it out. You've seen how strong it is, so you know how much more or less it can take."

The Togekiss nodded and moved closer towards the Golett. Carefully and keeping its eyes on the Golett's every movement; it started charging up another orb of black energy in its mouth. The energy within sizzled and cackled with much more sparks this time - suggesting that this Shadow Ball was more powerful than the previous.

The Golett responded by charging up some kind of energy in its fist. Suddenly, a ball of white light appeared on its fists and it raised its fist to punch the Togekiss. By the way it looked like, I had recognized it as a DynamicPunch; an attack that had the ability to confuse the target hundred percent of the time, but had extremely poor accuracy. As it went for its target, whom was circling around Golett itself, there seemed to have been an invisible force that was guiding it. The attack struck Togekiss bulls-eye, and right on target. It had seemed that the attack didn't even had any chance to miss - it was possible that Golett had No Guard as its ability.

As soon as it had performed its move, it immediately fell to the ground; as if it had been sleeping for centuries. It was in deep slumber. Togekiss however, was not phased at all. Even though it started to waver in its motion in confusion, its determination was not to be belittled. With a decisive blow, it shot the Shadow Ball towards the Golett with all of its might. The attack's power seemed to have even magnify, since it was a close-range attack.

It was time for a capture.

"Awesome job Powerglide." I called out. "Don't try to move, I got this from here." I knew she was confused from Dynamic Punch, so having her just rest while I threw my Parkball was all I had to do. I reached into my bag and pulled out a green and blue Parkball. A Pokemon of his strength normally would take a stronger Parkball, but I felt that I had weared him out to the point were a Parkball would be suffice.

I enlarged the ball and tossed it at the sleeping Ghost Pokemon. I squatted down next to Shadow as I waited to see the outcome of what was going to take place. Then I would finally have my three Pokemon and more importantly, I would be reunited with Mindbender. I can't imagine what she must be going through. I didn't even know if she was aware of what was going on. ​

 

Joe watched as one of the Purrlion strolled away deeper into the cave. However the one opposite Joe stayed in the same position, and simply sat their licking it's paw. However suddenly, the small purple-coloured feline Pokemon raised it's tail to a vertical position and started to charge some electricity around it. Soon enough, the small feline tail's released a small stream of electrical current darting towards Machamp. In a flash of light, the small stream smacked into the chest of Machamp, causing yellow sparks to sizzle and crackle all over the bulky body of Machamp

Joe knew exactly that Purrlion had just use Thunder Wave, a move that paralyzed the opposing Pokemon and also slowed them down drastically. The Purrlion giggle and produced a cheeky little grin. There was no way that Machamp could dodge that attack, it was almost like a move Infernape knew. Infernape learned a move called Mach Punch, which allows the user to strike first. A very handy move. The speed of a Infernape's Mach Punch, looked almost like the same speed of Purrlion's ThunderWave. Suddenly it hit Joe. Purrlion had another ability called Prankster. Prankster increased the priority of non-damaging moves, for example Thunder Wave and Hone Claws.

In the distance, another feline shape Pokemon appeared. The Pokemon walked up to the group gracefully and as soon as it walked closer to the group, Joe recognized what it was. To his astonishment it was another Purrlion, but it had a different attitude than the one we met earlier. It sat down besides the other wild Purrlion.

"Uhm, seems like it's another Purrloin. I doubt you guys would want it. So do you want to try running away again, or perhaps use a Pokedoll?" Snorlax asked.

Joe quickly turned around towards the Snorlax and said, "I think that I am going to have to use a Pokedoll to get rid of this Pokemon"

As Joe was about to hand over some green cash, the small Zorua ran ahead and stood in front of the Purrlion. It looked like the small Zorua wanted to battle, and this time Joe wasn't going to hold back. As Joe exchanged the money for a Pokedoll, he lofted the small pink PokeDoll behind the Purrlion. Joe watched as the Purrlion retreated back and started to tear the PokeDoll apart. Now it was just Joe and Zorua.

Well, I can't use Machamp, since he is paralyzed, Taco has sustained damage before and it would be suicide putting her out to battle Zorua. Dark is super Effective against Psychic so Gallade would be a miss. All I am left with is Lucario, Romulus and Krook.

Joe made his mind up and quickly grabbed a small red and white ball from his belt and threw it onto the ground. A bright white flash appeared and a large human shape figure appeared. As soon as the light died down, a large flame erupted from the top of the Pokemon's hair. The flames light bounce off the shiny surface of the shoulder plates on it's arms.

"Infernnnnappe" Cried the Pokemon.

"Alright Infernape, we have been through enough, I believe in your. Alright first off I want you to use Bulk Up followed by Will-O-Wisp" Joe cried out loud. He was confident of Infernape, he trusted that he can do the job.

Just after showing my disinterest in the feline-Pokemon ahead, I was treated with the same distaste. The purloin merely raised its nose into the air and glared at me with those cold red eyes-- almost as though it thought that I was inferior to it. It turned around and began to strut away-- yes, strutting was the best way to describe it in my opinion. Its long purple tail swayed to and fro as it strolled away. Joe's purloin on the other hand, chose not to go and, to make matters worse, jumped up onto its hind legs and a small ring of cackling yellow electricity covered it. The Thunder Wave attack shot forward and hit the unsuspecting Machamp. The bulky grey Pokemon twitched a little but, otherwise, he looked more-or-less unaffected by the paralysis-inducing attack.

Without showing the slightest signs of remorse, Purloin giggled cheerfully and hopped forward. Something was up though. Purloin were rather speedy creatures but they were nowhere near as fast as that one had just moved. "How odd..." I mused aloud to myself. Perhaps this one was a Zorua in disguise. I looked down to the Zorua curling against my legs, purring affectionately, and then I looked to the one sitting behind Joe. "That means this could be another Zorua!" I said aloud. The other two stared at me as though I was simple.

"It must be using its hidden ability, Prankster," our ranger informed me. It took me a few seconds of reflection before I realised what that ability did exactly. I knew that it made the user faster, but there were some certain way to it. Only some moves became faster, oddly enough. If I could remember what moves these were we'd be at a big advantage. Otherwise, not so much. I was cut across from my random thought-thinkingness thing that I tend to do. Just ambling on inside my head about nothibng to the yowl of another feline Pokemon. I saw two Purloin sitting before me and sighed. The one that just strutted away must have came back... unless-

"Uhm, seems like it's another Purrloin. I doubt you guys would want it. So do you want to try running away again, or perhaps use a Pokedoll?" Snorlax asked, cutting across my thought-pattern.

"No thank you," I said. "I really was not interested in catching this Purloin one bit. In fact, I didn't want any of the four that we had encountered in just this one day. Quite an odd amount if you ask me. Perhaps it's mating season..." I blushed after realising that I had just said that allowed. "I'll take a Pokedoll please," I added, trying to cover up my embarassment and what I had just said by taking out some pokedollars to buy a Pokedoll from the Snorlax. He handed me a fluffly, blue Azurills one-- bulbous tail included. I passed it from hand to hand, silently laughing to myself. Oh, how easy I was amused. The Purloin jumped to its feet at the sight of the new toy for it to play with.

"Loin?" it purred affectionately, advancing more.

"Ah!" I shouted, not wanting that disgusting thing any closer to me. I tossed the Azurill doll as far as I could to see the devil-eyed cat dart after it, playing a game or looking for prey-- who knows? I looked over to see Joe toss a pink Pokedoll at his own Purloin. Purloin devoured the poor doll and I shuddered to think if that was a real Clefairy or Jgglypuff. That thing may be small but boy was it vicious. Just goes to show how much Pokemon can differ nd how inaccurate the Pokedex can really be when stereotyping species of Pokemon based on how they are supposed to act. This also applied to humans too, as a matter of fact.

I saw Joe's little grey fox dart ahead, spin around and look at the torn up remains of the Pokedoll. "Rua?" it said inquisitively. Suddenly, the small fox puppy flared with anger and started barking at the Purloin. Purloin scapered away but Zorua still looked all fired up. It turned its attention to Machamp, then to Joe, then continued barking. It was clearly looking for a challenge-- someone good to fight and test its skill. This also would prove to be a great opportunity to weaken the Zorua down, then hopefully capture it. I liked the sound of this idea, and so did my very own Zorua apparently as it dove off my shoulders and landed beside his brother-in-species. They both shared the same near-identical toothy grin and turned their gazes towards us.

After just a few seconds hesitation Joe had already decided on what Pokemon he intended on using. I looked over as he tossed the Pokeball into the air.There was a flash of red light-- pretty much the standard these days with trainers. Pokeball manufacturers could make millions by altering the light emitted and customising this prized Pokeballs even more. Perhaps I should tell a good friend of mine who works for the Devon company in Rustboro, Hoenn region. They have a huge and one of the world's best-selling range of Pokeballs at their disposal. Oh crap, here I am over-anylising and just blabbing on to myself. I saw the familiar red and tan monkey Pokemon that was known as Infernape. Flames on his head and shoulder pads burst into life and the monkey growled, clearly ready for this battle.

"Nice choice, Joe. Infernape and his Fighting-type moves should really do some serious damage to Zorua because Dark type takes Super effective hits from Fighting types and, if that wasn't enough, Fighting types also resisted Dark-type attacks-- Zorua's only stab (same-type attack bonus) attack. Unfortunately, I hadn't brought any Fighting types with me.

"Alright Infernape, we have been through enough, I believe in your. Alright first off I want you to use Bulk Up followed by Will-O-Wisp" Joe cried out loud.

That was an interesting idea. Will-o-wisp was one of my all-time favourite moves. It hurt the opponent gradually which meant that they could be stalled to death, but not only did it do that-- it also halved their physical attack stat so that you would be able to tank their hits more effectively and shrug off their attacks as they were whittled to death thanks to the burn causing the opponent damage. Ingenious! Only problem with Will-o-wisp was its horrendous accuracy which lead people to call it name slike "Will-o-miss" and such, yeah.

"Okay, Rotom-Wash, come on out," I said after a little hesitation. I wasn't going to lie, I freaking love this beast. Not only is it my only user of Will-o-wisp but it also had many other useful moves as well as being a bulky washing machine that took attacks like a champ. "Let's start things off with your Thunder Wave attack," I commanded my Genderless washing machine to receive a curt response of a head tilt. I took that to mean that Rotom accepted the task and I watched as it began to store up energy. There was a huge advantage to Thunder Wave over Will-o-wip. First and most importantly of all is that it crippled Pokemon like Zorua-- Pokemon that predominantly rely on Speed as they are rather frail but speedy and quarters the speed. Not only that but it makes the Pokemon much less likely to perform their attacks as they may become fully paralysed, or better yet, it might also make a Pokemon easier to capture. Although, that was just a myth if I recalled correctly.

Rotom-wash levitated a bit closer to the yapping Zorua. Although it was quite cute and lovable, this was a battle and I had to put such distractions behind me. Rotom-wash's washing machine door swung open to reveal a sturdy, iron-pplated interior, cackling with blue electricity. If a real washing machine ever did something like this, I would run, run as far away as possible for fear of an over-powering and a possible explosion. The swirling mass of blue sparks spun around and around inside of the Rotom-wash's interior, tantaslising and trying to mesmerise the Zorua. I watched as its chestnut-brown eyes tried to follow the electrical current. Then, with a quick wink from Rotom-wash, the downpour of electricity shot out. At first it was a giant ball of spinning blue electricity, but then it morphed and altered shapes until it became thinner and started expanding. As I watched carefully I saw a net of sorts begin to form and expand around the Zorua who was apparently rooted to the spot in fear. The net completely overwhelmed the little pup, trapping him inside it and closing in. He yelped as it shocked him and I could see the little grey puppy twitch, hopefully cause of paralysis.

"Now, smack the puppy with a Hydro Pump!" I ordered. Rotom-wash wasted no time at all and I could see water start to pour into the large cyllinder where the clothes would be kept if it were a real water. Water gushed in from all of the tiny holes that were originally designed to take the liquid out of a washing machine. Clear liquid slushed around before Rotom-wash came crashin to the ground, using the impact to send the water out in clear concentrated bursts at the trapped and paralysed (hopefully) Zorua. "Good job, Rotom," I completed my Rotom with a pat on the head.

"Awesome job Powerglide," Cameron called out. "Don't try to move, I got this from here." The Togekiss managed to nod its head in acknowledgement, albeit still visibly confused and wavering around unstably.

I saw Cameron reached into his bag and pulled out a green and blue capture device - a Park Ball. He then enlarged it and tossed it towards the defenseless Golett, as it opened up and consumed the Pokemon within. At the very same time, the black-purple spherical barrier that was surrounding Gardevoir dissipated, and Gardevoir teleported herself towards Cameron; hugging its trainer in joy. The ball locked shut now, symbolizing a successful capture. I then went forward and picked up the Park Ball.

After that, Cameron told me that he would like to leave, to which I acknowledged. I was in fact more than happy to obey - the place was a little too creepy for me. There was something in this place that had hinted to me that there was more than what it seems; with the place being unusually silent and the secretiveness. The Darkrai offered us its thanks and told us that we were not allowed in here anymore, and offered to transport us out of the place.

I didn't know what to respond, other than to agree. I knew I had to respect the legendary Pokemon and after all; I was quite sure that it had the ability to forcibly prevent us from entering. The Darkrai then cast a beam towards us and it surrounded us immediately. Within seconds, we were covered in a white flash of light and teleported back to the entrance of the Botanic Gardens. I had finished another expedition with my trainer.

Jack was currently on his Yanmega he had nicknamed Serenity. He was a little annoyed that twice now the bosses had asked him to take over a run for Ataro. He hadn’t even met the guy and he had already dumped his work on him. Guess he couldn’t complain, it meant more money for him, even if it meant doing work when he could be doing something else, like sleeping.

He was now on his decent in the area the reports said the two trainers were. He and Serenity made their decent towards a waterfall. He wasn’t going to do anything fancy going in.
Instead the two approached the waterfall and when he had gotten close enough he commanded Serenity to use Protect. The water splashed over an invisible force field and stopped the pair from getting wet. The two came in for a landing and Jack hopped off her before her wings had stopped beating.

“Tada…” Jack said, announcing his presents in a bored way.

He looked to see that the two trainers had ignored his entrance for the most part and instead were calling attacks to their own pokemon and fighting a pair of Zorua. Jack was a bit surprised by their luck.

“Well then, I guess we’ll talk later…”

Jack had come in time to see the Infernape he assumed was Joe’s Bulk Up. The pokemon’s muscles seemed to grow a little making it stronger and more durable. Then it followed up the attack with a Will-o-wisp. The Zorua tried its best to jump out of the way but its best wasn’t good enough and the attack connected. It didn’t seem to do any damage but that was only for now.

At the same time the trainer he read to be Jay had commanded his own Rotom-Wash to use a Thunder Wave attack. The move flew at the little ball of fluff and connected. Jack wondered if the attack had actually worked. Rotom’s odd Hydro Pump answered that question. The Zorua just wasn’t fast enough to jump out of the way of the huge torrent of water and took it directly in the side as it tried to jump away.

The two Zorua then took the chance to inflict their own bit of pain. The first Zorua that was in front of Infernape began to cry, the cuteness won over the heart of its opponent and it seemed to drop its defenses in retaliation. The Zorua then smiled and disappeared. It then appeared behind the Infernape catching it off guard. Then it launched its whole body at the Infernape. Jack was surprised. The fake crying did indeed drop Infernape’s defenses, but it was the wrong one. He began to wonder if this was just for future refrence, but the attack really couldn’t have done much to the Infernape.

The second Zorua decided to go a different root, the first thing it did was shake its whole body trying its best to get as much water as possible off of its fur. Instead of doing something to try and hurt its defenses it just went in with an attack. It opened up its mouth and let out am almost cute roar. However the cute factor was lost when a few pulses of a black shadow like substance burst forwards towards the floating washing machine. The dark pulse connected, but again, Jack had to wonder how much the attack had actually hurt it.

Jack then placed his hand on Serenity’s head as the two of them watched the battle. He then tried to get their attention again.

“Hey! Trainers! Whatchu gonna do now?” he said a little aggravated.

The Hydro Pump smacked right into the Zorua just as I had planned. The paralysis from the Thunder Wave slowed down Zorua which ultimately lead to his downfall. Zorua shivered a little and shook her whole body, trying to dry herself off. I laughed as the drops of water sprayed everywhere, including onto the other Zorua. My Zorua gave a weak and cute battle cry before a wave of black energy shot forward, seemingly out of nowhere. It struck my bulky Rotom wash but Rotom shrugged off most of the damage like a true tank.

"Hey, trainers, whatchu gonna do now?" an unfamilar voice asked and I turned around to see a man ontop of a large Yanmega. I figured he must be our new ranger because Snorlax was nowhere in sight.

"Rotom, try use your Signal Beam attack and follow it up with a Will-o-wisp of your own!" I shouted, giving Rotom a friendly shove. Rotom glared at me but that quickly changed to a smilr because he knew that I was joking. "Now get out there and kick some ass!" Rotom made an odd whirring sound as it prepared the two attacks.

The storage part of the Rotom's washing machone shot open. The silver inside was empty until just after it made an odd hissing noise. Bright lime green liquid began to pour down from the top, while a blood red liquid seeped out from the bottom. The liquids merged together and started to solidify, merging together. Gas came off of the merging liquids and then the twin-coloured liquids shot forward, now as a beam much like Ice Beam. My Zorua was mesmerised by the swirling colours and it looked as though she wouldn't be moving any time soon. The beam shot straight at the midnight fox and I smiled. Signal Beam was a powerful Bug type attack which happened to be Super Effective against Zorua and her Dark typing.

Next came the Will-o-wisp. There was an evil sounding cackle coming from behind Zorua. A sphere of orange and yellow flames flickered into existence behind Rotom's back, but it appeared as though Rotom's plan was working and the Zorua couldn't see the steadily-expanding ball of flames. Rotom and Zorua were locking eyes now and then, out of nowhere, the orb of flames shot through Rotom amd encircled the Zorua. Hopefully the Zorua would become burned from these flickering flames.

 

"Alright Infernape, we have been through enough, I believe in your. Alright first off I want you to use Bulk Up followed by Will-O-Wisp" Joe cried out loud.

Infernape started to tense his muscles, a light blue aura surrounded the muscles and then they grew bigger. Bulk Up is move that increases attack and defense of the Pokemon. Now Infernape's defense was higher than usual. Joe knew that most Dark Moves were psychical and there a few non psychical Dark moves. This meant that Infernape could withstand more attacks than usual, a vital asset.

Meanwhile the Zorua opposite Infernape started to cry. It was very weird seeing a Pokemon cry however it looked like this crying was fake. Joe heard of a move where a Pokemon pretends to cry and makes the Pokemon feel bad, which in turn allows its Special Defense to drop drastically. This was bad, Infernape was no open to many Special Moves that could damage him badly. Joe had to think of something fast or something bad could happen.

It was Infernape's Turn, Infernape opened his mouth wide open and fire small blue fireballs towards Zorua. The blue fire balls almost looked like the fire created by Hades in the Disney Classic Hercules. As the blue small fire balls, Zorua leaped into the air hoping to dodge the attack. However as the small mischievous fox like Pokemon landed on the floor, the blue fire balls smacked into the chest of Zorua. A sudden flame burst out of Zorua causing it in pain. Joe was glad that the move hit because it was true what Jay said about Will-O-Wisp, it was often called "Will-o-miss" because of its small Accuracy.

Suddenly Zorua completely disappeared from sight. one moment it was there and another it was gone. Joe anxiously searched for the Fox Pokemon, hoping that it didn't run away. Then Joe heard a snicker from behind him. It was the same snicker from before, Zorua was close. Joe span around on the spot and watched as the small fox-like Pokemon dart across and smack into the chest of Infernape. he move looked a lot like Faint Attack, a move where the user disappears out of sight and then attacks from behind. A very common Dark attack. Infernape shrugged the attack off and watched as the Zorua appeared in it's original position before the attack.

What to do, What to do, common think Joe, think.

Within a instant of thinking, Joe quickly searched through his bag and started to throw out many things. Things including Camera's, Parkballs, PokeDisk's. Suddenly a sigh of relief as Joe picked out a small spray canister. Joe placed all the items back into the bag and held the canister in his right hand. He carefully walked over to Zorua and sprayed the canister over Zorua. When he brought the Calming Fragrance Plus in the Park Shop, he was told that it would increase the chances of capturing a pokemon. Well guess if we see if this actually works.

"Alright Infernape, lets use Calm Mind to raise your Special Defense, then use Brick Break" Joe commanded.

Jack was a little peeved that the two trainers had ignored him, however this didn’t last long as he knew, and he still had Serenity so he shouldn’t really care. He was just supervising. He watched on and began to scratch Serenity’s head. Serenity fluttered her bug wings in delight.

Meanwhile after the execution of the attacks both trainers seemed happy. The first Zorua that was fighting the Infernape had to next deal with a Calm Mind and a Brick Break. Before commanding his attacks Joe reached into his bag and pulled out a bottle and sprayed it around the room. Jack recognized it as a calming fragrance plus. The Zorua on his side sniffed the air and took a moment to enjoy the scent.

After Joe had given its commands the Infernape first seemed to slow down, it closed its eyes and calmed itself, the next second it opened its eyes and seemed a lot more focused then before, even the the effect of the Fake Tears attacks seemed almost negated. Next it came at the little pokemon when it launched its attack it brought its hand down on the living dark fluff in a powerful Brick Break attack. The attack hit dead on but for good reason. At that same moment The Zorua’s eyes had glowed blue, it was getting ready for its next attack. The little pokemon was thrown against the cold rock and slowly got back up. When it did though it opened its eyes and gave its opponent a creeply cute smile, it began to run at the Infernape again with an impressive speed, it jumped up at the Infernape again, but thinking the same type of damage was coming, Infernape didn’t think to dodge. Instead the attack collided with its chest and the amout of power was much more than what was expected.

“Oh damn!” Jack called out in surprised fascination, he then laughed to himself. “That little guy just hit you with a Foul Play attack!” Jack laughed at the Zorua’s idea of using its opponents attack against itself, but it did still have a defense boost.

The Zorua jumped backwards away from its opponent and looked not at the Infernape but at the trainer. It was panting a bit and the burn it had received seemed to hurt it even more. The Zorua was still able to get off a cheeky smile at the trainer.

Jack saw this and started downright laughing. “Oh man! I think it really does like you! Hahaha!”

On the other end Jack saw Jay give his pokemon a push and the pokemon give him an almost dirty look, it changed to knowing before it obeyed its trainers commands. First the washing door opened to reveal the red orange and purple Signal Beam, the poor Zorua tried its best to avoid the attack, it was able to avoid the most of it but being paralyzed did not help it at all. The Zorua squeeled from the hit it took. It didn’t have time to recuperate because the next thing it knew there was cold looking balls of flame encircling it. The balls moved in on the Zorua until finally connecting and resulting in it being burned. After being hit there wasn’t much it could do to get away.

The Zorua didn’t like getting banged up so much and its next attack was a testament to that. It let out a tiny war scream and the area around the Washing Machine possessed Rotom seemed to darken and Rotom seemed to be in pain. Jack recognized this is Zorua’s only special attack it learned by growing on its own. After the move had been executed, the darkness seemed to stick around a little.

“Well that’s a bummer, looks like your gonna have to deal with a little accuracy loss man. Hope you got something for that?”

Rotom's Signal Beam attack hit the Zorua mostly but the Zorua still did manage to dodge some of the multi-coloured beam. It was a real shame cause it could have hurt it a lot, but this was still a good sign. It showed that despite being paralysed this Zorua was still very smart and cunning and was able to use his surroundings to his advantage. It really would be a great asset to my team now that I thought about it more. The purpley-red flames engulfed the Zorua, singing her dark fur and burning her. I heard the cute uppy help with pain and I felt a pang of guilt. I didn't want to hurt this Zorua too badly, just make it easier to catch. The Zorua growled weakly and backed away, giving me an idea. She then made some really loud barking sounds and a blast of murky black substance shot forward and hit Rotom-wash straight in the face. Rotom shifted around a little uncomfortably as its vision faded in and out of focus.

"That must have been Zorua's Night Daze attack," I noted. "Sorry, Perfect Housewife, but that attack tended to reduce your accuracy as well as sting your eyes. I don't want you to be at a disadvantage, so come on back!" I shouted, whipping out Rotom's Pokeball.

I needed to repair her trust with me so I pulled a fragrance bottle out from my bag and made a whistling sound. The Zorua's large bushy ears pricked up and she advanced slowly. I squirted her with the liquid and she flinched, but then seemed to really relax as she smelt the aroma. I could hear her purring affectionately which made me feel better already.

“Well that’s a bummer, looks like your gonna have to deal with a little accuracy loss man. Hope you got something for that?” the new Ranger said with a crooked smile. There was something kind've goofy about this Ranger but he seemed nice. He sure was friendly... and talkative alright.

"Don't worry," I said with a stupid grin. Galvantula can easily handle Zorua and Bug types are known for being very gentle creatures. He won't hurt Zorua too badly," I said. In a flash of bright amber a large yellow spider Pokemon appeared before me. It had six beady purple eyes that stared right at Zorua. Its four legs allowed it to scuttle along at really fasat speeds. "Galvantula, start off with an X-scissor attack!" I shouted. "Be careful though," I added, "I want this particular Zorua to join ur team so be careful not to hurt it too badly, or knock it unconscious!" Galvantula gave me some assuring glances before rolling his eyes. "I'm watching you..." He replied with some irritated squeaks before beginning his attack.

He began to get a bit jittery, jumping from foot to foot restlessly on the spot. As quick as a flash he shot forward, jumping back onto his rear two legs and bringing his front two upwards until he was in an almost-standing position. His front two legs came together and made an 'x' formation as Galvantula shot past me and straight to the startled Zorua. There was no way a paralysed Pokemon like Zorua would be able to evade this attack from my very speedy Galvantula. Well, unless it got some extreme amounts of luck, I thought to myself. Best not to think about those kind of things or I'll just curse my luck. Watching Galvantula perform this attack really reminded me of whyI loved Electric type Pokemon so much. They were all so unique and special in their own way as well as having amazing Speed stats for the most part. Usually they would outspeed their opponents and make short work of them.

 

"Alright Infernape, lets use Calm Mind to raise your Special Defense, then use Brick Break" Joe commanded.

Infernape slowly slowed down and closed his eyes. As soon as he opened them, he was in a completely different mind set. He seemed more calm and focused. Even the effects of Fake Tears looked negated. Then it launched it's body into the air and raised his hand. Soon Infernape slammed his hand down onto the fox-like Pokemon. Fighting moves are super effective against Dark Pokemon. Infernape is the ideal Pokemon to fight Zorua. The hand slammed down against Zorua and sent it crashing against a cold rock. It slowly got back onto it's feet however as soon as it raised it's head, it's eyes turned colour into light blue. Zorua quickly stormed towards Infernape. As Zorua was rushing towards, a light orange aura connected both pokemon. Almost like Zorua was borrowing Infernape's Power.

Soon Zorua crashed into the side of Infernape and cause a bit of damage, mostly because Infernape's Bulk Up increased it's defense. Zorua smirked at Joe and then was hurt by the burn marks of Will-O-Wisp.

“Oh damn!” Jack called out in surprised fascination, he then laughed to himself. “That little guy just hit you with a Foul Play attack!” Jack laughed at the Zorua’s idea of using its opponents attack against itself, but it did still have a defense boost.

Joe didn't find it funny at all, he needs to end this battle soon.

"Infernape, use Brick Break followed by Flamethrower, lets hit this Zorua hard."

Jack continued to watch the battle; first thing he noticed was the Zorua versus Rotom fight.

“That must have been Zorua's Night Daze attack," Jay said outloud "Sorry, Perfect Housewife, but that attack tended to reduce your accuracy as well as sting your eyes. I don't want you to be at a disadvantage, so come on back!"

Jack was a tad baffled by the choice of nicknames but decided then and there he didn’t want to know. He should have known considering he had the trainer information, but was too lazy to ever read that much.

It seemed that Jay didn’t want to deal with the drop to Rotom’s accuracy and elected on switching out pokemon. Before releasing his next pokemon he instead reached for a fragrance and sprayed it in the little Zorua’s face. At first it was alarmed that the next attack was water to the face, but then he realized what it was and inhaled the nice fragrances. It smiled at jay in a happy sort of way, and then tensed itself for the next pokemon. It was a Galvantula.

"Don't worry," He said in response to his earlier comment. The smile that he had made resulted in a cock of Jack’s eyebrow. “Galvantula can easily handle Zorua and Bug types are known for being very gentle creatures. He won't hurt Zorua too badly," Jack was a little skeptical to say the least; first the fact that he had called the big yellow spider like pokemon gentle was a little odd for him. The next thing that happened confused Jack, for he had never seen a pokemon like that walk on two legs. It charged at the Zorua and came down on it in an X-scissor attack. Instead of trying to dodge the attack it tried to get underneath it. It did, but at the cost of taking a serious hit, it then found itself underneath the belly of the Galvantula. The Zorua then scratched with all its might getting off as many hits as it could before the Galvantula moved. It was a nice move and a last resort move considering. Jack knew jay had to act fast before it did more damage.

In the Infernape versus Zorua battle it was fairly straight forward, Joe had just called out the Infernape to hit it hard. A Brick Break followed by a Flamethrower. The Infernape charged at the little Zorua and brought down a second Brick Break, it connected and right after at short range unleashed the flamethrower attack.

The Zorua got up quick though and let loose a Shadow Ball that connected with the Flamethrower. The collision resulted in an a small explosion of flame and goop, throwing both combatants against the wall. Even Jack bent down and shielded his face with his arms. Serenity got closer to the ground to make itself a smaller target.

“Ouch, that hurt…” Jack said when the dust quickly cleared

WAs Galvantula approached Zorua on its hind legs I saw Zorua do something very odd. It too charged forward, probably hoping to jump out of the way at the last minute or something. However, I soon realised how wrong I was and I saw the cunning little Zorua dive right underneath Galvantula's X-Scissor attack, getting slashed quite badly in the process. She slid underneath Galvantula and began clawing at his soft underbelly with her sharp claws. That was Galvantula's biggest weakness and I couldn't help but cringe at what happened. It wasn't too late though. Zorua was looking really weak and just about every scratch seemed to be even more and more tiring.

"Don't worry, Galvantula! Jump in the air and shoot down your Elec Net attack to trap the Zorua!" Galvantula made a quick chirupping sound as he jumped into the air. He could leap surprisingly high for a spider but it was mainly thanks to his powerful legs. Those legs could support his whole body when standing up and could also propel him up to ten feet into the air. As soon as he had leapt up I saw his four legs being brought really close together and a ball of electricity began to form. This was a small sheet of blue and yellow sparks jumping around erratically. As Galvantula began to fall he sent the net shooting down onto the Zorua. This would trap the Zorua and also inflict a small amount of pain. I didn't see any way how the much slower Zorua, thanks to Rotom Wash's Thunder Wave, would be able to move, let alone at the fast speed Galvantula was falling at.

I turned to see how Joe's battle was working out. But I had to duck away almost immediately as there seemed to be an explosion of sorts. There were flames and thick purpley grey blobs shooting everywhere. Luckily, it was nowhere near us because Galvantula had a morbid weakness to flames and Fire type attacks. That was why he hated Fire Pokemon and moves. Thankfully, his Hidden Power type was Water which actually helped him to counter those annoying Fire, Rock and Ground type Pokemon that like to switch in on Galvantula and his attacks.

When the Shadow ball and Flamethrower attack had faded away I saw an Infernape and a Zorua facing each other. Both looked weakened and were panting. Neither of the two averted their gaze from the other.

"Ouch," I heard our ranger say and I gave him my attention again. I could see his Yanmega so low that it was practically lying on the floor.

"Uh, so.." I said trying to make conversation, "nice Yanmega you have there," I noted. "Screw it, I'm gonna try and capture this Zorua. Hang on a second..." I muttered after taking my bag off of my shoulder and tossing it onto the grass. I shuffled around in it for a few seconds looking for something. I could tell that Jack, our ranger, was looking at me curiously but I focused on the inside of the bag. "Aha!" I said to myself taking out a sleek black and gold Hyper Ball. "I'm going to try amd capture this Zorua. Come to Papa!" I shouted, tossing the Hyper Ball at the Zorua who was still trapped inside the pulsating yellow and blue net. The ball soared threw the air and clonked the Zorua right on the head. The Zorua was sucked inside by a bright red beam of light. The ball dropped to the ground and started to roll...

 

OCC: If Zorua is captured, I would like to leave the park


"Infernape, use Brick Break followed by Flamethrower, lets hit this Zorua hard." Joe commanded. He wanted to hit this Zorua hard to reduce it health to a point when it was possible to capture it.

Infernape roared out loud and raised the same hand into the air. He projected off into the air, the speed of Infernape was incredible. He gracefully flew through the air and as soon as he was close to Zorua, his arm that was raised suddenly started to glow in a white colour. Then Infernape slammed the arm straight down on Zorua. First part over.

Zorua was sent flying back and crashed into the ground. Zorua slowly got back onto it's feet and smirked towards Infernape. Infernape looked very psyched about the move and started to open his mouth wide open. A large flame was projected out from Infernape's mouth, the heat of the flame was staggering. Joe shielded his face however the heat leaked through the gaps between his fingers. It has been a while since he has seen that sort of power from Infernape.

However Zorua opened it's small mouth opened and produced a dark purple sphere and fired it towards the incoming flames. The dark purple sphere crashed into the burst of incoming flames. As soon as both attacks collided, a burst of energy escaped and caused a small explosion. Joe was sent flying back onto his back. Joe glanced up and tried to look through the thick gray blanket of smoke that surrounded the cave. He slowly got back onto his feet and called out to his Infernape, "Infernape? Infernape?"

As the dust cloud settled, Joe watched as Infernape and Zorua were still standing, just. Zorua looked worse of out of the both. They both started to pant, almost like the battle itself drained their energy. The Zorua was weak, it was burned, it was the perfect time to capture it.

"Screw it, I'm gonna try and capture this Zorua. Hang on a second..." Jay said in the distance. Did Jay just read my mind?

Joe watched as Jay started to search through his bag, probably searching for a capturing mechanism. Soon Jay grabbed a slick gold and black ball from his bag.

"Alright my go, lets capture Zorua" Joe exclaimed, exciting at the prospect of Zorua finally joining him. He opened his bag and removed the same slick golden black ball and held it in his hand. He outstretched his hand and tossed the ball towards the Zorua. The ball smacked Zorua and then suddenly disappeared into the ball. The ball dropped to the ground and started to roll around....

Synthesis

Jack watched as both trainers had elected to catch the Zorau at the same time. He laughed to himself at what some would call terribly cliché. Two friends fought the same two pokemon and both of them captured it at the same time.

Joe had elected to catch his Zorua right after the explosion; he didn’t even bother to have Infernape send off another attack. Jay on the other hand had commanded one last attack before sending out his pokeball.

Jack was surprised by the Galvantula’s abilities. After being attacked from below it had jumped quite a distance into the air. Jack whistled out loud at the height. The four legged spider then brought its legs together creating an Electro Web attack and shooting it at the little Zorua, it trapped it and then hurt it.

Joe was the first one to throw his ball. The ball connected with the weary Zorua and dissolved into the holds of the sphere. The ball wobbled and shook three times until a lound ping echoed around the cave.

After Jay’s Zorua had been trapped, Jay threw a ball of his own. It too connected with the trapped fluff beast and was sucked into the ball. The results were the same and a second ping resounded throughout the cave.

“Congratulations you two, you are now the proud owners of a Zorua.” Serenity had since gotten back up and fluttered her wings in approval.

Joe then approached Jack and let him know that he was ready to leave the park.

“Okay then.” Jack said while reaching into his backpack and extracting a used ball. “This is the Baltoy you caught and since your leaving you can pick that one over there up as well. Serenity, I need you to bring this trainer back to the park entrance.” She fluttered her wings to show that she had understood and was willing to leave; she began to turn and point herself out of the waterfall.

Jack watched as Joe picked up ball and then hopped on Serenity’s back. The two flew through the waterfall with the help of a protect attack once again.

“Hurry back Serenity!” and she was gone.

“So Jay, ready to continue on? Im going to have to hold that Zorua of course.”

Jack reached into his pocket and pulled out a pokeball, he dropped it and it burst open to reveal a Froslass.

"Hey Tali, wanna walk along?"

She nodded and Jack smiled, he then looked at Jay.

"You wanna leave the cave or you wanna keep going down it?"

I noticed that Joe, too, threw a Hyper Ball and our two Pokeballs wrre rolling on the floor simulataneously. His gave off a ping of success. "Lucky bastard," I said with a grin only to hear another ping in reply. I was pretty thrilled to see a double capture but then Joe announced that he was leaving early. It was understandable though. He had just gotten two powerful Pokemon in a short space of time. Jack's Yanmega fluttered off with Joe walking alongside.

"You wanna leave the cave or you wanna keep going down it?" Jack asked me after putting Zorua's ball in his bag.

"Let's leave the caves. I think I'm going blind in this darkness."

Jack, Tali, Jay, and his Galvantula all walked to the cave entrance.

“Tali, stop that waterfall with an Icy Wind attack.” Tali floated forwards and inhaled the wet air. She blew outwards and cold wind shot towards the waterfall. The water froze and connected to the ceiling of the cave creating a huge ice bowl. Tali continued to let loose her attack as the four of them passed under the frozen waterfall. As soon as they were all clear, Tali ceased her attack and the ice instantly began to crack and break. Then it all came crashing down in one huge piece. It crashed against the water and the blocks of ice rose to the surface of the water.

“Well that was cool, thanks Tali.” Jack said and patted her on the head. They continued on and found themselves near a couple of trees. Jack heard some noises and thought it might be a pokemon. He went to go check it out. The others followed
He found an opening inside the few trees they had found and sure enough there was a pokemon.

It was a tall, green and white, bipedal pokemon with skinny limbs. Its hips poked out and it had a red horn on its chest. Green extensions shot out from where its Elbows were at. It was currently sparing on its own, doing flips, spins, and swings. If there was a pokemon fighting against it, it would have been taking a major beating.

“Well I guess it’s not all about special attacks and powerful hits…” Jack said to no one in particular. He then looked at Jay.

“Well it’s a Gallade, that’s a pretty good find. You want to try and catch it?” Jack said pointing his thumb at the sparring pokemon. “If you don’t want it, I don’t think it’s noticed us yet, we might be able to get away if you want to.” Jack said noting his options.

We were walking along for a few minutes before we came to the inevitable waterfall. I was wondering what our best course of action would be when Jack's Froslass came forward. With a quick flick of her arms a freezing cold gust of ice shot by, barraging into the waterfall. After a few minutes it gradually began to freeze over. We quickly ran by before Talia, Jack's Froslass, commanded the ice to thaw and the huge blocks of ice collapsed, then the water began to pour once more. We came straight to an exit of the cave and the harsh light outside was almost unbearable. I had to shield my eyes to block the most of this light to allow my eyes time to adjust to the contrast.

"Well, it's a Gallade. That's a pretty good find. You want to try and catch it?" Jack asked and I could see the form of a human-like Pokemon begin to come into my view. It had huge blades for arms and looked pretty intimidating as it practised it's powerful attacks with itself. I withdrew my camera and snapped a quick picture.

"Let's move on and find some bitches," I said, winking at Jack. I was pretty sure I just scared the crap out of him, but c'ést la vie!
