I was sitting my small cubicle of an office, plugging away at my portable game system. There was nothing really to do: the Park had been really quiet lately, for reasons I couldn't understand.

Just as I reached a savepoint before a boss fight, my PDA started vibrating. I picked it up and opened the new message.

There was a Trainer waiting at the Entrance to the Abandoned Power Plant.

I quickly jumped out of my seat, and I stowed my game machine in my pack, which I slung around my back.

"Dual, we've got a Trainer," I said, summoning him.

Dual appeared in a flash of red light. He was a prime specimen of a Gallade. He nodded, and took hold of my shoulder. We both disappeared in a flash of blue light.

Ten seconds later, we appeared at the entrance to the Abandoned Power Plant. There was a Trainer standing around outside the gate.

"Hi there," I said. "I'm Ranger Chainy, and I'll take you through the Power Plant."

I pressed a button and swiped my card on the gate, and it opened, letting us in.

So i was just standing around waiting for my ranger to come along but as i was doing that i was just looking around the plant it looked so cool and amazing , i looked down at Slash my Persian and i saw that he was fast asleep on my two feet i quickly kicked him off and as i did there was a flash of light.


In the flash of light appeared a ranger and it had to be the ranger that was showing me through the power plant well because i hadn't seen any other Trainers today or rangers.



"Hi there," he said. "I'm Ranger Chainy, and I'll take you through the Power Plant."

I thought to myself "Finally."​

Chris and I walked through the main hallway of the Power Plant. The ceiling was high off the ground, and loose cables snaked around the support beams. Sometimes small sparks jumped from cable to cable. The hallway itself was made of concrete, with splashes of paint only slightly breaking up the monotony.

Chris seemed to be a silent individual. He didn't have much to say: he just followed me silently, his Persian following him.

As we walked, a little yellow Pichu jumped out of a side room and poked its tongue out at us. As it did so, its spiky little black tail waved from side to side.

"There's a cheeky little Pichu," I said to Chris. "Want to catch it?"

As we walked through the main entrance of the Power plant we could see that the place looked terribley destroyed , it had paint every where , bit of dirt here and there.

As we were walking we saw this little Pichu.
It stuck it's tongue out at us teasing us , Slash was at the side of me get angry about it but i told him to cool it .

"Do you want to catch the Pichu" said my ranger.

I thought that it was a weak little mon that couldnt do anything but take the micky out of people but after i relised that after it evolves it turns into a Pikachu and after that a Raichu.

I needed a good electric type on my team so i said

"yes , i do want to catch that Pichu"

I told Slash go on use fake out.​

Chris decided to try and capture the Pichu. The fact that it was taking the mickey out of him probably added weight to his decision.

Chris told his Persian, Slash, to use Fake Out on the Pichu.

Slash walked innocuously up to the Pichu, then quickly swiped it viciously and returned to his position in front of Chris.

The Pichu was knocked over, and it sat on the ground, rubbing its face where the attack had landed.

Then, it screeched loudly at its Persian foe, and it jumped to its feet.

It launched a Thundershock at Slash. The Thundershock arced high into the air, like a mortar. It passed near some cables, and the cables added electrical sparks, increasing the power of its' attack.

The Thundershock reached the apex of its arc, and it began descending swiftly on the Persian.

Slash quickly ran up to the Pichu and quickly swiped him , the Pichu fell on the ground looking kind of confused rubbing were Slash swiped him from.

It stood up letting out a huge screech,
"PICHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" it yelled

I covered my ears because it was like having the most squeeky noice right next to your ear at full power, yes it was that loud.

As it yelled the electric came out of nowhere it came from the lights then out above of the Pichu.

It was was coming down to Slash i quickly reacted saying
"Slash Use night slash."

The Thundershock descended upon the Persian, even as Pichu shrieked its triumph.

"Slash, use Night Slash!" Chris called.

The Persian dashed towards the Pichu. He just got out of the way, although his tail was hit by the edge of the attack, he ignored the pain. As he ran towards the Pichu, his front claws became shrouded in darkness.

When Slash reached the Pichu, he reared onto his back legs and swiped the Pichu once with each paw. The Pichu reeled back from the attack even as Slash returned to his position.

The Pichu didn't fall over, though. It looked at Slash with eyes made of pure hatred, and it suddenly dashed towards Slash, blurring out of sight. It left wavy lines behind it as it moved.

"It's using Quick Attack!" I called out.

Slash ran up to the Pichu as thundershock hit it's tail but Slash didn't care he ran up and night slashed him.

The Pichu fell and got back up i thought to myself when is it going to get weakend?

It stood up and started running at Slash with lines appearing behind it it was using quick attack , i quickly commanded Slash to use power gem.

I was thinking to myself ,
"If this Pichu is this powerfull when it's still an NFE then just imagine what kind of tremendous power it will have when it's a Raichu? Thinking like this made me want to catch this Pichu a whole lot more.​

The little Pichu sped towards Slash at an unbelievable speed. He weaved a bit, dodging right and left, just in case Slash tried attacking it.

Chris was obviously thinking about this too.

"Use Power Gem!" he commanded.

Slash began purring loudly, and the gem on its forehead glowed a bright red. A rotating rock began phasing into reality, starting off blurred and hazy but then becoming distinct as Pichu approached.

Pichu sped towards Slash, who was sitting stationary on the ground. He headbutted Slash in the side viciously, before speeding away. Slash flinched, but he kept forming the rock.

When the rock was fully formed, and completely realistic-looking, Slash roared, and the rock was fired towards the Pichu as fast as a cannonball.

Despite this, Pichu was moving fast because of its speed-increasing Quick Attack. The rock flew towards it, but Pichu jinked to the right at the last second, dodging the rock.

The rock crumbled into tiny pieces upon striking the concrete floor, leaving a tiny crater. The Pichu looked at it, then back at Slash, poking his tongue out as he did so.

He then began charging another Thundershock, squealing with mirth as he did so.

The Pichu ran up to Slash and headbutted him with ferocious power.

Slash was still forming the boulder and after wards he threw it across at the Pichu but at the last sevond the Pichu just quickly moved to a side.


I could see that Slash was getting so angry and i thought well it's time.

I commanded Slash to use Nasty Plot as he was gaining sp attack i told him to repeat power gem and to it as hard as you possibly could.

He started loading a rock from his little gem on his head and it grew bigger and bigger and bigger untill it was twice the size of the Pichu release i said .

Chris commanded Slash to use Nasty Plot, which I thought was a smart move. Slash's eyes roved around, identifying different parts of the room that it could utilise, and also trying to determine Pichu's weak spots.

The Pichu was miffed by this reaction. He expected the Persian to rise to his bait, but the Persian hadn't! Angrily, it launched another Quick Attack, striking the large white cat on the other side this time.

Slash didn't even respond. It just continued to take in as much information as it could.

Just as the Pichu retreated, Slash's eyes spread wide. They glinted, and the Persian roared again. The Power Gem began forming in front the Persian's face, but this time it was twice as big and formed three times as fast. Before the Pichu even knew what was going on, Slash howled, and the rock sped away like a bullet. It could have been an optical illusion, but I thought the rock was traveling so fast that it actually flattened a little.

The rock struck the Pichu hard, sending it flying into the air. It hit the ground, bounced a little, then got up, struggling to do so. It looked at the Persian with undisguised hatred.

And then it screamed.

It was unnerving, listening to a mouse scream.

But it did so, and as it did so electricity erupted from its body, dancing along the concrete and up the walls. The yellow sparks engulfed its entire body, and it charged.

NBP Team RP​

I was checking the supplies for the 7th time. I really knew that they were all there, but I was so nervous about the trip. This was my first team job and I was really afraid I was going to screw up. Being me, I had gone through the rules religiously until I knew them by heart, just in case some vague technicality came up.

I paused, as I was putting the rope back into my pack. Well, there was a valid reason to be concerned. There had recently been some sort of chemical disturbance in the plant that caused a minor explosion in the far corner. As we, the rangers, approached it, we saw some sort of extremely toxic slime. It was so corrosive and horrible that we couldn’t bag it out and our suits couldn’t stand to be in immediate exposure to the gas for more that an hour at a time. We eventually had to call in a favor from a legend collector to bring in her Shaymin and purify the room.

Ever since that event, more and more poison type Pokemon have been appearing. It’s not that much of a concern, just a warning as to what Pokemon we might be seeing.

I finished packing the back again and placed it next to the door. I opened it and walked outside into the gloomy day. The sky was overcast and depressing to look at. I sighed and pulled out a Poke Ball before dropping it to the ground and releasing the Pokemon I was going to take with me.

“Traaaar!” Empress awoke from her sleep with a booming yawn that caused a flock of Swablu in a nearby tree to fly off. She stared at me and then sat down with a sleepy look.

I searched the skies. Apparently, one of the traners was flying here on his own Pokemon, and th other was going to transport himself. I began to see a small dot in the sky.

OOC: Yay yay yay yay time to get this started! <3 I didn't know which Trainer I was meant to be, so I took the non-flying one as I couldn't see any Teleport-equipped Pokemon on rockman's roster.

"You don't want to use the Park teleporters?" the slightly overweight lady behind the desk asked incredulously.

"No thank you, Dual doesn't like being teleported by anyone other than himself," I explained.

The lady looked at me with a raised eyebrow, but waved me on without saying anything further. Dual burst out of his Pokemon in a flash of white light.

<We in yet?> he asked me telepathically.

"Wouldn't it have made more sense to ask me that before leaving your ball?" I asked him back.

Dual snorted and looked away.

We approached the teleporter that led to the Abandoned Power Plant, my destination. I had been in the park once before, but I had gone to the Woods, not the Power Plant. That run, I only had Dual at my side, and he was a weak little Ralts, not the monstrous Gallade he is now. I also brought along Smash, a Swampert I had rescued from affliction as a Mudkip, and Specialle, a Dusknoir I had saved from an illegal Pokemon swap meet. I had decided to return to the Park because it was a nice safe adventure, not the danger-riddled ones I usually got into. Furthermore, I had chosen the Power Plant because lately I had noticed my team had a glaring weakness to Flying-type Pokemon, and I wished to fix that by adding a couple Electric types to my roster.

Dual touched the machine, and I felt him psychically reach for the destination.

"You have it?" I asked.

Dual nodded, and a blue sphere enveloped us. A warm feeling spread outward from my stomach, and inside of twenty seconds I found myself standing at the entry gate to the Power Plant. A Ranger was already standing there. He must be the Trainer that would accompany me through the Plant.

"Hi there!" I called out as I walked over. "My name is Jathan, and this is my Gallade, Dual."

Dual nodded at the Ranger. He then looked up in the sky.

<Someone approaches,> he said.

I looked up, shading my eyes from the sun. Whoever this was was probably my partner Trainer for this run. I'd never met him before - we had communicated through messageboards to organise this run. I couldn't wait for him to land so we could get into the plant.

 

(W00T!!! Let's get this party started!)

Today was my day off. There were no trainers to take through the park, and I hadn’t been called to any emergencies. I left my apartment and headed out to the park. My first stop was at the Main Gate to check in. I signed in to confirm that I was going through the park and left, nodding hellos to people along the way. I was excited. I’d led people through the park plenty of times, but I’d never actually gone through the park as a trainer before.

I had decided against teleporting to my location. Teleportation left an uneasy feeling in my stomach. I used the teleporter only when it was necessary. Today, it was not necessary. After grabbing a Pokeball from my bag, I threw it up into the air, releasing the Pokémon inside. A big burly orange Dragon emerged from the Pokeball with a roar.

“Hey, Dragonite,” I said to the Pokémon. She looked confused that I wasn’t in my usual ranger’s uniform. “Don’t worry, we’re not working today. Today, we’re gonna do some battling and capture us some more Pokémon.” I continued.

Dragonite had gotten used to me flying on her back. By now, she knew that if I had released her near the Main Gate, then I probably wanted a ride. Besides, she enjoyed flying as much as I did. I climbed onto the Dragon Pokémon’s back, and with one swoosh, we were in the air. We continued to fly until I could see a dull gray warehouse-like building. It started as a small dot, and then grew bigger as we came closer to it.

I motioned for Dragonite to stop, and then she began her descent. With a loud thud, she landed on the ground. I really have to work on her landing, I thought to myself. I hopped off her back, and saw that the other two had already made it.

“Hello,” I said as I recalled Dragonite and walked up to the partner trainer and the ranger who would be guiding us. “I’m Dee. Glad to meet you.”

Odd names I thought to myself while shaking their hands. Empress got up, feeling more awake now, sized up the other Pokemon. Dual the Gallade was stony and steadfast as Gallade tend to be. He stayed very close to his trainer as if he was a bodyguard. I was soon to get a Gallade and I hoped that mine would be a little looser.

Nitelite the Dragonite was sitting off to herself, equally silent though she looked s if she were about to burst into uncontrollable giggles any second. She seemed a bit embarassed by the two Pokemon in her prescence, even though, she and Empress were technically the strongest there.

I shrugged inwardly and guided them towards the entranceof the building. We stopped right before the entrance and I turned to them.

“Now I happen to know that none of your Pokemon know the move flash, and while most of the rooms in the plant are lighted, some aren’t. While a flashlight isn’t the same as a full on flash, it’s the best we can do without assistance. If need be, I’ll get a Pokemon to use flash, but only in emergencies and I’m sure you boys can take care of yourself.” I punctuated the end of my speech by handing each of them a flash light and placing mine on the hook around my utility belt.

They seemed to understand quite fine so I led the way in with Empress while they followed. The plant was eerie as ever. Cracked tile was littered across the hallways and some plants that had gotten past the barrier of the windows grew up the sides of the walls. Dirt and clutter was strewn occasionally along the hallway, but to top it all off was the dim and creepy flourescent lighting. I hated flourescent lighting. I had ADD on the Autism spectrum so if I sat still long enough, I could see the individua flashes of the light , like some horrible strobe.

I shuddered and continued on. We walked down the hall way for a ways before coming to our first Pokemon.

A Magnemite and Magneton were floating in the center of the hallway sending weak jolts of electricity at the light on the sieling , making it glow bright briefly, and then giggling metallically. When we approached they looked at us questioningly. The Magnemite floated towards Jathan and looked as if it were scanning him, while the Magneton drifted circles around Dee.

“You want ‘em?”

OOC: Interesting fact that I forgot to mention: a couple days ago (before we entered the Park, so it's still valid) I purchased the Strength and Flash HMs, so all Pokemon who can know those do. So we're okay.

The Ranger immediately moved over to the the entrance without returning the introduction. Apparently he was a little anxious about the run. He explained that some of the room were darkened, but we couldn't do much better than flashlights since none of our Pokemon knew Flash.

"Um, excuse me, but Dual knows Flash," I interjected. The Ranger frowned, so obviously he didn't know about this. Probably because I bought the Flash HM, along with the Strength HM, on the boat ride over.

We progressed through the darkened hallways. There were random lights flickering creating an eerie feel to the plant. The concrete walls and tiled floor were in an advanced state of disrepair, which meant I had to watch were I was stepping. Dual didn't feel like staying out of his PokeBall, so he returned himself.

This gave me an opportunity to take a look at my partner. His Dragonite would be a helpful asset, and who knows what other Pokemon he had tucked away. He seemed to know how the Park worked, so he was probably a Ranger on holiday. My big brother was a Ranger, and I rarely got to see him because they were kept pretty busy with all the Trainers passing through.

While walking down the hallway, I noticed there was an extremely erratic light up ahead. As we got closer, we saw that there were two Pokemon using their electrical abilities to make it glow. One of them was a Magnemite, and it left this form of entertainment to come and inspect me. I raised my hands, showing peaceful intent.

"You want 'em?" the Ranger asked.

I considered it. Magnemite eventually evolved into the powerful defensively-oriented Magnezone, which would be a great asset to my team. But I was going to visit my cousin's in a fortnight's time, and she had told me that she had found a stray Magnemite that she wanted me to take under my wing. I couldn't break my promise to her.

"I like it but I'm not really interested, thanks," I said to the Ranger, locking my hands behind my back. If my partner wanted either Pokemon, however, I would be happy to help him capture it.

EDIT: Apparently I can't use Flash even though I BOUGHT IT BEFORE ENTERING THE PARK SO I SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO, WHICH IS BULLSHIT. RAAAAAAAAAGE AGAINST THE SYSTEMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Before entering the warehouse, the ranger handed us both flashlights, stating that it would have to suffice since we had failed to bring a Pokémon that learned Flash. In all of my excitement, I had forgotten to teach Luxray how to use Flash. I would make sure to do that as soon as left the Park.

The thought of teaching Luxray how to use Flash reminded me that I should release her from her Pokeball. She hated being in her Pokeball, and I only recalled her when it was absolutely necessary, such as when I was riding over on Dragointe. She would probably be upset. Upon releasing her, she looks at me with a stern look on her face, and I shrugged my shoulders. Eventually, she turned around, and with a sigh, followed us into the plant.

When we entered the big building that once served as a source of power for the park, we stumbled upon a Magnemite and a Magneton. The Magnemite approached my Partner trainer, who I couldn’t help but feeling that I had met somewhere. The Magneton circled around me. As much as I wanted to capture Magneton and evolved it to a Magnezone, I decided that I would wait. I wanted to see what other Pokémon I would encounter.

“Nah, I think I’ll have to pass on Magneton,” I said to the ranger. I heard the poison-type Pokémon dwelled within the building, and a recent toxic waste accident had attracted even more poison-types than usual. Maybe I would encounter one that I wanted.

“Let’s keep going,” I told the ranger. Hopefully, the two Pokémon would leave us alone and allow us to pass.

 

NBP Team RP​

Since the trainers didn’t show any interest in the Pokemon, I decided to take a chance and just walk away.

The Magneton and Magnemite didn’t seem at all concerned with our leaving and went back to their game.

We continued to walk along the hallway. As always, our steps were eerily muted as if the static in the air sucked the sound out of the air before it could reach our ears. We turned a corner and I froze.

Facing us was a simply confusing scene. Raikou was jumping up and down and smiling dopily with an Elekid on its back having a fantastic time trying to stay on. They were both giggling furiously, but stopped when they saw us.

Raikou just stared with that same dopey look. Elekid stopped and glanced at us, but lost interest and tried to get Raikou to continue playing.

I was fascinated by the behavior of Raikou. The particular Raikou that llived in the plant was noble and pompous. It would never dare let some small Pokemon ride on its back unless it was injured or something. I stared at it for a while trying to see what was up. Its face was the same mocking, dopey expression with its smug smile and tiny little bead eye- wait. Raikou had dark brown slits for eyes. It was a Ditto.

I smiled to think how happy Ditto must have been when it saw Raikou and realized that it could transform into one. Its Elekid buddy must have been enjoying the new power as well.

I turned around to see the stupefied looks on the trainers faces.

“It’s a Ditto,” I said to overall relief and embarrassment. “They’re both up for grabs though.”
