    Akinai glanced over at Dual and Lia to see if they were ready to head out as well, and was surprised to see Alegría making her way over to the two as well. Thankfully, Eraizaa's Gallade appeared to caught on as well; in moments, the Spiritomb was whisked back over to their Trainer. She couldn't help but smirk a little at this- even though Lia appeared to be pretty carefree about what other Pokemon did, even she would have been slightly miffed to have her conversation interrupted. Not long after, they continued forward.

    Nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary on their path so far, save for the stray piles of broken-down items that appeared to be far beyond salvaging. For a moment their movement, as if the command was randomly issued, and their Ranger appeared to be interested in one of the nearby trash piles, as if he had suddenly noticed something. Akinai glanced over at the pile as well, but saw nothing that appeared to jump out at her. Wonder what's going-

    All of a sudden, the trashpile exploded with energy, parts going everywhere. In the confusion, two Pokemon leaped forward out of the confusion. Akinai almost immediately recognized the Mareep, but it took a moment to discern that the object that it was chasing about was Voltorb, yet another Electric-type.

    "Well, either of you guys wanna battle these two?" Chainy asked, looking over at the two Trainers.

    “I'm not really interested in either to be honest,” Akinai admitted, then looked over at Eraizaa. “If you want either of them, I'll fight the second one to help you out though. If not, and we can't escape, I could use one of my Dolls.”

    It really looked like both Lia and Dual were very happy to see each other even though I had no idea what they were talking about. Alegría did seem a little lost at first but as she looked at the seen from my side, she quickly noticed those two didn't want to be interrupted. The Spiritomb did seemed a bit embarrassed about her almost standing in the way, so she focused more on the mission ahead.

    After walking a bit further into the Powerplant, two more Pokemon showed up. A Voltorb and a Mareep apparently. I looked towards Akinai and she didn't seem interested in either of them at all. She even offered to use a Pokedoll to walk away if necessary.

    “Yeah, I'm not interested in these either. Let's see if we can just walk around without bothering them. If not, I could use a Pokedoll too,” I said with a low voice to try not to disturb the wild Pokemon.

    “...tomb...” whispered Alegría as she did her best to follow my plan.

    “I'm not really interested in either to be honest,” the young woman replied candidly before turning to Eraizaa. “If you want either of them, I'll fight the second one to help you out though," she offered. "If not, and we can't escape, I could use one of my Dolls.”

    “Yeah, I'm not interested in these either. Let's see if we can just walk around without bothering them. If not, I could use a PokeDoll too,” Eraizaa replied quietly.

    "Not necessary," I informed them. "Usually a single PokeDoll is enough to distract a couple of Pokemon. But we'll worry about that bridge when we have to cross it."

    Eraizaa's Spiritomb made a quiet sound in response - it seemed like even the usually happy Pokemon could temper itself if the situation required it. We slowly started moving around the pile, trying to stay away from the two Electric-types. Unfortunately, through dumb luck, the Voltorb turned and saw it. Its expression became less jovial, and it rolled over and blocked our path. The Mareep followed, and it took a few seconds for the sheep to realise that the game had been put on pause. It brayed at us in an accusatory manner.

    "Ah well, so much for that," I said. "Akinai, you offered first, so chuck a doll and we'll be on our way."

    She nodded and pulled a doll out before throwing it away. Both Pokemon tore off after it, and a new game began - a fusion of chasey and keep-away. The Voltorb was excellent at obtaining the doll, but not so good at keeping hold of it. The result was that the Mareep could easily steal the doll from Voltorb, but the spherical Pokemon could run circles around the Mareep and move the doll through sheer speed alone. I chuckled as I watched the two Pokemon play. After a couple minutes, we moved on down the hall. Not very far, though - in fact, we were barely ten metres past the pile of junk when we saw another couple Pokemon. A Mawile was laying down comfortably on a half-broken mattress, and its two horns were functioning like a strange exercise machine for a Pichu. The small yellow mouse Pokemon was in-between the Mawile's horns, and it was stretching out the horns then letting them return to their natural position. It looked exactly like my elder brother Jakk when he exercised on his weights machine at him. The Mawile looked up and gave a sleepy-sounding greeting to Akinai before resting its head again.

    "Well, wanna battle either of these two? You have the necessary experience." I laughed.

    As Eraizaa offered to use a Doll as well, Chainy interjected with a comment of his own, “Not necessary. Usually a single PokeDoll is enough to distract a couple of Pokemon. But we'll worry about that bridge when we have to cross it.”

    Akinai nodded to both of them, both thankful for the offer and finding out about that little fact. It was good to know that if one of them ran out of Dolls, it was still possible to make a quick getaway if the other still had one stashed away. Unfortunately, the two Pokemon managed to catch sight of them as the group tried to sidle by, with Voltorb rolling right in front of them and Mareep glaring at them for interrupting their game.

    “Akinai, you offered first,” Chainy pointed out, “So chuck a doll and we'll be on our way.”

    “Fair enough,” Akinai said, reaching into her pack for one of the Pokedolls that she had stashed away for this purpose. This particular one, a Phanphy, appeared to be a stark contrast to what an Electric-type would want but would hopefully work out in this case. She lightly tossed the toy in between the wild Pokemon, curious to see how it would play out. Not surprisingly, they included the Doll into their old game, turning it into a form of keep-away. While it was amusing to watch for a while, they eventually continued on.

    Not far ahead, they ran into a surprising sight. Not only had an old mattress somehow found its way into the plant, but there were two Pokemon resting on top of it, two of the same species they had already ran into in fact. The Pichu appeared to be having fun by playing with the Mawile's horns, and the Deceiver Pokemon seemed too tired to care.

    Before Chainy could finish his query, Akinai shook her head. “I have no interested in capturing two of the same Pokemon, so will have to pass. If Eraizaa wants a Mawile as well though I'll take on the other one.” She assumed that if her fellow Trainer wasn't interested as well he would toss a Doll if needed, but waited to see how he would respond first.

    Akinai shook her head, indicating that she didn't want either of them. “I have no interested in capturing two of the same Pokemon, so will have to pass. If Eraizaa wants a Mawile as well though I'll take on the other one.”

    Eraizaa nodded and reached for a PokeBall, but suddenly his phone started ringing. This of course immediately interrupted the pair of Wild Pokemon from their play. They started moving slowly over while the young man answered it. Eraizaa opened the phone, nodded twice, and then snapped the phone shut. "I'm sorry, but I've got to head out, there's been an emergency," he said.

    "Not a problem, leave your details at the gate and I'll send your Pokemon to your local Pokemon Centre as soon as we're done," I replied, indicating Akinai with a finger. "Can you find your way out?"

    Eraizaa nodded once again and returned his Pokemon. He gave us a farewell wave and then turned around to leave. I shot Akinai a quizzical look before shrugging. I then noticed that both Pokemon were clamoring around our feet. "Looks like we're gunna need a doll to get out of this one," I remarked.

    Akinai dropped a doll, and both of the Pokemon started fighting over it. I knew they wouldn't hurt each other, though, so I just led Akinai away from the scuffle. Despite how involved the two Pokemon were in obtaining the stuffed toy, I knew that sooner or later they'd tire of it and if we were within eyeshot, they'd just chase us again. For that reason, we ducked down a side passage and into a loading dock. That was where we saw the Registeel.

    The Legendary Pokemon was napping on the back of a broken pick-up truck. In fact, the only reason that the truck looked broken was that the rear was crushed by the incredibly heavy Steel-type. I held my finger up so that Akinai wouldn't make any noise. She probably wanted to take a picture of the huge beast, and then we could move on.

    Before Eraizaa could respond, the Trainer's cell began to ring loudly, catching the attention of both Mawile and Pichu. After having a quick chat with the person on the other end, he hung up and put the phone away, saying that he needed to head out due to an emergency. After a quick apology and recalling Alegría, Eraizaa quickly went on his way back to the building entrance.

    “Well...that was odd,” Akinai remarked, surprised by the fellow Trainer's sudden exit. He seemed nice enough, at least nice for a person who kept a Spiritomb out at all times... maybe it was a good thing that he had to leave before Magi could meet the second Spiritomb. Still, this presented a problem; due to Eraizaa's phone going off, both of the wild Pokemon were now circling them, albeit in a playful manner. Much as she was a fan of both species, she had no interest in capturing two of the same Pokemon for this run.

    “Looks like we're gunna need a doll to get out of this one,” Chainy remarked, noticing the two frolicking Pokemon as well.

    <Maybe they just want to play a while?> Lia innocently commented, though there was a slight hint to her voice that she wished to join in on the fun as well.

    Sorry Lia, but we're sort of in a hurry, Akinai replied, placing down another Doll to distract them. This one was of a Totodile, and a quite realistic rendition of one as well. As soon as she backed away, both the Pichu and Mawile tackled down on it, trying to play with it first.

    For some reason or another, Chainy opted to take one of the side passages, though whether it was because he thought something would be in here or simply wanted to dodge the two Pokemon Akinai was uncertain. She silently wondered just how large this place was; while it didn't appear to be quite large on the outside, she had spotted stairs early on, suggesting that the place headed underground. Outside looks were deceiving indeed...

    Due to being lost in thought, Akinai almost hadn't noticed the large Pokemon resting near them, sleeping in what appeared to be the bed of a wrecked automobile. Seeing her Ranger make a quite motion to be a silent as possible, she looked curiously over at the creature. It appeared to be made entirely from steel, and the face was consisted of several dots in a pattern. It almost looked one of the statues that she saw during her journey in Hoenn, but that was impossible, at least she thought. Still, it wouldn't hurt to take a picture just in case; pulling out her camera and keeping the flash off and hoping that the low light in the area would be enough, she took a quick snapshot of the behemoth Pokemon.

    The young woman didn't seem to register what exactly the Registeel was, but she knew enough to realise that it was quite rare. She pulled out a camera and took a picture of the huge beast. Lia started walking forwards casually, like she was going to greet the Pokemon, but Dual threw out his hand in front of her, preventing him from moving forwards. She gave him an inquiring look, and I heard through the link that Dual was explaining what exactly the Pokemon was. It was good to see a Gardevoir that wasn't aloof and mysterious.

    Lia's eyes widened as Dual explained, and together they stepped away from the Legendary Pokemon. Carefully and quietly we moved across the unloading bay, and thankfully the Registeel didn't wake up. I heard some metal groaning just as we were leaving the room, and I decided quickly that it was just the Pokemon moving around in its sleep. Still, that stop me from hurrying our small group of the docking bay and into another side-corridor.

    This corridor was very thin and surprisingly clear of junk. It looked like something had pushed all of the machinery into side rooms, out of the way. I scratched my head, wondering what could have done this. Suddenly, I noticed some movement down the end of the corridor, ad the answer was revealed to me. A red and blue duck-like Pokemon was sorting through the piles with its beak, putting apparently interesting items into a small pile in the middle of the room and pushing the rest through a door and out of sight.

    "Wow, that's lucky," I said to Akinai, "any interest in catching a Porygon-Z?"

    OOC: Much as this is an insane find (along with being excellent trade bait), will have to pass due to the even more insanity that is 45k MCR X.x

    As she began to put the camera away, Akinai noticed that Lia had started to walk towards the sleeping Pokemon, possibly wishing to say hello. She didn't get far though; Dual placed a blade-arm in front of her to prevent approaching it any closer. This was most likely a wise move on the Gallade's part, especially since she was still unable to place what exactly the large Pokemon was supposed to be.

    Lia froze, listening carefully to what Dual was saying to her, then turned her gaze back to the wild Pokemon with eyes full of awe. <He says that's a Registeel!> the young Psychic-type relayed back to Akinai. <They're supposed to be almost one of a kind, and strong too!>

    Good thing we didn't wake it up then,
    Akinai responded, taking a large step back. If they were that rare, it was highly likely this was one of the species that were forbidden to be caught in this area. No point getting into a battle with it unless it was absolutely necessary. Following her Ranger out of the area, they managed to quietly sneak past without waking up the large Steel-type.

    They had stumbled upon one of the smaller side areas, though this room was notably far cleaner than the other areas they had passed so far, almost as if someone or something had entered and swept all the debris away. Before Akinai could puzzle out the reason for this though, a sound coming from the far end of the room caused her to look over, spotting what had to be one of the weirdest creatures she had seen all day. It looked almost like a Porygon, but the edges were rounded and hues were far stronger. Plus, something about it seemed almost... off.

    "Wow, that's lucky," Chainy remarked to Akinai, surprised by the rare sight. "any interest in catching a Porygon-Z?"

    “Interesting...” Akinai had heard of Porygon-Z before, but they were considered an oddity at best and something akin to a virus back where she had come from. Granted, this was coming from the same people, who had a field day if Magnemite swarms managed to enter the city. While it would make a good teammate when she wanted to return home one day for some demented reason, that time was not for a long while yet. Still, it would be good to take a picture of it for future reference. Pulling out her camera once more, she took a quick snapshot of the Pokemon.

    OOC: @Akinai that's fine, 45k is a hefty price-tag xD

    ~~~~~
    "Interesting," Akinai murmured as she reached for something. It certainly was - most of the Trainers that came to the Park were searching for Porygon evolutions or the incredibly elusive Rotom. That's why it was a huge surprise when the young woman pulled out a camera instead of a PokeBall. Wordlessly, she took a picture of the Normal-type before returning the camera to its pouch. I shrugged and led her onwards, into one of the side rooms. If Akinai didn't want to battle the Porygon-Z, I didn't want it seeing us.
    The room I led us into was much more messy. It looked like the gadgets and electronic scrap from out in the hall had been moved into here by the Porygon-Z. This had been unfortunate for an innocent bystander, though: a Mareep was in here, bleating in fear, with its front right leg trapped under a piece of machinery. It didn't appear to be in any pain, but it couldn't move. This was the worst part of the job - as Rangers we weren't allowed to interfere with the Pokemon in their natural habitat. Unfortunately, sometimes that meant leaving a Pokemon who was in trouble. I'd broken that rule once and been severely punished for it. If Akinai wanted to rescue it, she could do so, though.
    Whether it was due to taking a picture of the wild Porygon-Z or Chainy simply sensed that Akinai had no desire to battle this particular Pokemon, the Ranger let them onwards. Fortunately, the bizarre Normal-type had failed to notice them and continued moving things about. The next room they entered was an almost complete contrast to the prior one, with broken and disused parts littering the floor haphazardly. The area had another surprise waiting as well- a Mareep. The young Electric Pokemon was bleating in distress, apparently stuck.
    Surprisingly, Chainy didn't immediately ask the usual question of whether or not they wished to battle or not. Akinai stole a glance over to figure out the sudden change, and was somewhat surprised that he appeared to be trying to silently debate what to do next. Maybe Rangers were not allowed to interfere even when the wildlife was not battling with a Trainer?
    Lia, noticing the change of emotions in the area, stepped forth. <Shouldn't we help it? After all, it can't move,> she stated, looking over at Akinai pleadingly.
    Don't see why we can't. We're not battling this though,
    Akinai silently replied, then switched to speech so the others could figure out what was going on. “Lia, try to telekinetically move that largest piece by Mareep there. With any luck, it should be able to wriggle free once that is gone.”
    Lia happily nodded, focusing her efforts on a large piece of debris lying nest to the Mareep's trapped limb. With any luck, the wild Pokemon would be able to move afterwords and not try to battle in response. Just in case, Akinai reached into her pack, ready to throw a Pokedoll if the situation called for it.
    “Lia, try to telekinetically move that largest piece by Mareep there. With any luck, it should be able to wriggle free once that is gone,” Akinai ordered. I was glad to see that she took the hint my silence was giving. I just hoped the Mareep wouldn't cause her any problems.
    Lia stepped forwards and raised her hands. The piece of machinery that was pinning the Electric-type started to shake, which intensified the sheep's fearful cries. A couple of seconds later the metallic construct rose into the air, and the Mareep ran right towards Akinai. Lia gently deposited the item - which appeared to be a mangled desk frame - onto the top of the pile, and Dual nodded. Even though Lia was young, her telekinetic powers probably already outshone his. When he chose to become a Gallade, he had given up his psychic potential for physical might.
    The Mareep moved slowly around Akinai's legs, kind of like a cat would do. It was bleating softly, clearly thanking its rescuer.
    "Alright, that's enough, run along long," I said to the Electric-type.
    It looked at me with narrowed eyes and made the sheep equivalent of a hiss. I shrugged and decided to lead Akinai onwards in the hopes that the Wool Pokemon would stay behind.
    There was no such luck. A couple minutes of walking later found us in some kind of chemical processing room, or at last that was my guess; there were beakers and test-tubes all over the place, ranging from smashed to cracked to perfectly preserved, and they were laying all over the floor and the tables and the counters. The Mareep was still following Akinai closely, studiously ignoring myself and our Psychic Pokemon. Finally, Akinai bent down and showed the Mareep one of her PokeDolls. Like all Wild Pokemon, the Electric-type took immediate interest in the plush toy, and when Akinai tossed the doll out of the room the Mareep went in hot pursuit, it's baubled tail wagging like a dog.
    I proceeded further into the room, being careful to avoid stepping on any glass. A bit of movement on one of the counters caught my eye, and I turned to see an amusing sight. A Ditto had managed to get into one of the larger unbroken beakers. It looked just like some pink liquid, albeit with an expressionless face, watching us silently. I held back a chuckle and turned to Akinai.
    "Feel like trying to catch a Ditto?" I asked her.
    Unfortunately, it appeared as if Murphy's Law was in full swing today; as soon as Mareep was free, it ran straight towards Akinai. Oddly enough, it tried to nuzzle her leg, almost like a stray Skitty that she had ran into long ago. Still, instead of reaching down to pet the Pokemon like she had done in that previous siituation, Akinai stood perfectly still. Affectionate or not, it was still an electric sheep that could shock her accidentally at any moment.
    Chainy made a motion to shoo away the wild Pokemon, but the Mareep simply gave a jealous glare back in response, drawing closer to the human. In the hopes that maybe walking away would deter the wild Pokemon from following, he led them into yet another room. Still, it decided to follow them regardless.
    Much as I could understand why this Mareep would be grateful, this is going into ridiculous waters, Akinai sighed to herself silently, rolling her eyes as she pulled out another Doll and showed it to the Wool Pokemon. When it immediately froze and followed the toy's movement as she waved it about, she lightly tossed it into the prior room, causing the young creature to ignore the two humans and follow it.
    Finally, Akinai was able to look around the room without fear of suddenly being shocked by an overzealous follower. The first impression of the area was glass, and lots of it. Beakers and test tubes littered the nearby table, along with broken glass shards littering the ground. Lia, watch yourself in here, Akinai warned. Stepping on glass would hurt enough with shoes on, but anything barefooted, whether Pokemon or human, was bound to be more painful.
    While some of the beakers were filled with various random liquids, one was occupied by something else entirely. While at first it appeared to be a thick pink goo, it turned around and revealed a blank face, watching them for the moment.
    "Feel like trying to catch a Ditto?" Chainy asked.
    Akinai immediately shook her head, “Let's see if there is anything else nearby, or use a Doll if needed. Here's hoping that Porygon from earlier didn't scare away everything else in the area though.”
    OOC: @Akinai I am sorry for this shitty post, wasn't feeling it but I owed you one so I pushed through.
    ~~~~~

    “Let's see if there is anything else nearby, or use a Doll if needed. Here's hoping that Porygon from earlier didn't scare away everything else in the area though,” Akinai commented.

    I nodded and we proceeded through the room. I kept a careful eye on the Ditto, but it just silently watched us from its beaker. It was a bit creepy how everything was quiet here save for the ever-present gentle thrum of the plant, and the occasional tinkle made by Akinai or I stepping on a piece of glass. When we reached the door, I shooed Akina through first.

    "I might actually close this door, just so Pokemon don't wander in here and cut their feet," I explained to her. I turned and took one last glance around the laboratory, closing the door as I did so. The last thing I saw before the door clicked shut was the Ditto's beaker - and it was empty.

    My body didn't move for a couple seconds - where had the Ditto gone? Would it be okay? The door appeared to have a sizable gap underneath, so it should be able to slip out. That was, if it hadn't already. Ditto could be shockingly fast sometimes.

    I heard a squeak coming from behind me, so I turned around. Akinai was looking at a Pichu that had its back to us. The Pichu squeaked once again, but didn't turn around.

    "Are you okay little one?" I asked the Pokemon. "There's no need to be shy."

    The Pichu turned around, and I groaned. Instead of the cute little face there was a blank expression featuring tiny eyes and a thin slash of a mouth. The signature of a young Ditto, one who hadn't yet mastered their shape-shifting abilities. Faces were always the hardest things for them to emulate because of the degree of mutability they had.

    "It looks like we're dealing with a troll Ditto," I said as I rolled my eyes. "Chuck it a doll and we'll move on."

    Akinai nodded and tossed a doll down the hallway. The Ditto-Pichu skipped after it, and we moved quickly in the opposite direction, being careful to dodge the piles of junk and scrap. As we walked past one pile, however, a piece of machinery started to buzz. It floated up into the air and started making menacing noises. I thought it was a landmine of some sort until I looked closer and saw that it was actually a Pokemon. What would a landmine be doing here anyway?

    "Interested in capturing a Klink?" I asked Akinai.

    OOC: No worries, thinking the list is hating me anyways for once.

    Chainy nodded, leading them to the other end of the room as carefully as possible to try avoiding the worst of the broken glass. As they reached the doorway though he motioned for Akinai to go first, mentioning that he was going to close the door to make sure none of the locals entered and accidentally harm themselves.

    Akinai nodded, making sure Lia went through first. Though the Ralts line were famous for being empaths, Lia could be somewhat airheaded about the most obvious things. Knowing her luck, if she was last the Gardevoir would try to make her way over to the beaker carrying Ditto and try to carry the wild Pokemon out with them, walking through the worst of the glass. Thankfully, no questions were asked and soon they were all through the doorway.

    As Chainy closed the door, a small squeak caused Akinai to look about- and inwardly groaned to herself as she recognized the now all too familiar form of a Pichu. Another? This makes what, four? Maybe she really was a magnet for younger Pokemon, made even more ironic considering that this time it was young Electric-types. Still, something seemed off this time: it seemed somewhat reluctant to show her its face.

    "Are you okay little one?" Chainy asked the Pokemon, having apparently just turned around. "There's no need to be shy."

    The Pichu finally turned around to face them- and finally it all clicked. Instead of the cheerful face of a Pichu, the creature had the beady eyes and small mouth of a Ditto. Either this was the Pokemon that they had run into in the previous room, or this was another one.

    "It looks like we're dealing with a troll Ditto," Chainy mumbled while rolling his eyes. "Chuck it a doll and we'll move on."

    Akinai immediately tossed a Doll towards the Transform Pokemon, this one in the likeness of a real Pichu. As the Normal-type bounded after it, they quickly made their way towards the next room. This time, another mechanical Pokemon greeted them, rising up from a nearby pile. It appeared to be made entirely of gears, clicking with a sound that was almost sinister.

    "Interested in capturing a Klink?" Chainy asked.

    “Not really,” Akinai replied, stepping away from the Klink. She was getting a little tired of using all of her Dolls in this area, but there was something about this Pokemon that she didn't like; if needed, she would use another one.

    To my surprise, Akinai declined the Klink. It took an act of pure will to keep my eyebrow from raising, but I just managed it. Klink weren't very common on the mainland, so even though they weren't particularly powerful, they were usually captured by Trainers for the purposes of Pokedex completion, or as trade bait. My compartmentalization of Akinai started to change slightly - she had seemed like a bit of a collector to me, but now it looked like she was looking for particular Pokemon. That was fine.

    Akinai stepped backwards, moving away from the Klink, and I followed her lead. The Klink continued to make some threatening noises, but when we were a fair distance away, it lowered itself back down into its junk pile and didn't re-emerge. I sighed with relief and turned around, ready to lead Akinai onwards.

    There wasn't really any need, though: I saw another Pokemon as soon as I turned, and it was a very familiar shape. A small yellow mouse Pokemon was standing with its back to us, looking very interestedly at a blinking light. My eyes narrowed, and I wouldn't have been surprised if it was that troll Ditto again. I made a quick loud whistle with my fingers, and the Pichu turned around quickly. Its face was that of a normal Pichu, so it wasn't the same Ditto at least.

    "Well, you've already captured one of these, so just wanna move on?" I asked my Trainer.

    While the gear-like Pokemon continued to make the same sinister sound from before, it obviously did not want to fight; as soon as they walked away from the creature, it sink back into the makeshift pile. Maybe it was just blowing off steam, or maybe it just had more bark than bite- either way, Akinai was glad that yet another Doll did not have to be used. Still, they didn't get far before running into a now annoyingly familiar Pokemon... yet another Pichu was within sight, its back facing towards them.

    Chainy looked suspiciously over at the baby Electric-type, as if suspecting that they had another Ditto on their hands. After blowing a loud, sharp whistle to get the Pokemon's attention though, it was revealed to just be another ordinary Pichu. "Well, you've already captured one of these, so just wanna move on?" Chainy asked Akinai.

    Akinai nodded, trying her best to not appear impatient. She knew Pichu were rather common, but this was going into ridiculous waters. Was there a population boom of them recently or something? She kept hold of the Doll, though had a feeling that this would be one of the last ones she would use for this area.

    Akinai nodded to show that she wasn't interested in capturing a second Pichu. Luckily for her, the small Electric-type seemed to be intimidated by my shrill whistle, and it quickly scampered off through a hole in the wall, heading back towards the laboratory. Hopefully it wouldn't find its way in - the young Pokemon could be seriously injured by all the glass. I would have picked some up, but we were advised to try and mess with the Pokemon habitats as little as possible. Who knows - maybe it was expressionist art made by a trigger-happy Magnezone.

    I cricked my neck and waved Akinai onwards, leading her along the corridor, heading towards a corner. Suddenly, I heard some sharp staccato noises, almost like sharp footsteps or gunfire. The noises bounced off the concrete walls, making it really hard to identify them. My teeth ground against each other when the possibility of poachers presented itself in my mind. I held my hand flat and pumped it towards the ground, signaling for my Trainer to be silent. I'd rather not drag her into a confrontation, but experience had taught me that under no circumstances should I leave my Trainer behind. The last time I'd done that they'd been captured by poachers, and the time before that my Trainer had consumed my entire alcohol and potato chip supplies. I wasn't sure which episode caused me more grief.

    The situation had suddenly taken a much more grim, potentially dangerous turn. Making sure to keep as quiet as possible, Akinai and I turned the corner at the same time. I was really embarrassed to find what we did: a small yellow-and-green dog Pokemon was barking excitedly at a pile of junk. The noises must have been the dog's excited yaps echoing repeatedly off the concrete. I scratched the back of my head, a bit embarrassed.

    "Well, uh, wanna battle the Electrike?" I asked my Trainer, avoiding eye contact.

    OOC: ugh, short post is short on my end. Claiming Pichu and Mawile, thanks for the run and sorry it wasn't as eventful as last time XD

    Akinai looked over at the canine-like creature barking at a nearby pile of parts, trying to figure out just what was going on. It was possible that another Pokemon was hiding out of sight, but the pile remained perfectly stationary as the Electric-type continued to keep growling at it.

    “Well, uh, wanna battle the Electrike?” Chainy asked, keeping his gaze off to the side for some reason.

    “Much as I like Electrike, the last Manectric I owned didn't receive much attention,” Akinai admitted relunctantly. This was actually true; she had received one in a trade a while back in return for her Bastiodon, but the creature had spent most of his time occupying Box space instead. In the end, she had given the Pokemon to another Trainer who had expressed interest in Manectric in the past. While that situation had ended well, she didn't think she was quite ready to raise another one just yet. “So I'll have to pass. It's getting pretty late anyways, so could we head out?” Akinai readied another Doll just in case the Manectric decided to direct its attention their way.

    OOC: @Akinai good call, I was gunna hint that you should leave now anyway lol

    ~~~~~
    “Much as I like Electrike, the last Manectric I owned didn't receive much attention so I'll have to pass," Akinai said. We both tilted our heads to get a look at the young puppy barking excitedly at whatever was hiding in the junk pile. It looked like it was having fun, and I was kind of glad Akinai didn't want to disturb it.
    "It's getting pretty late anyways, so could we head out?” Akinai asked.
    "Sure, sounds like a plan," I replied. Akinai had only captured two Pokemon, but maybe she wanted to catch a ferry back today, and the services didn't run at night-time. I turned and nodded to Dual, and he nodded back. He said one last thing to Lia before holding his hands out in front of himself. A blue sphere blossomed outwards, covering all of us, and a second later I felt the familiar jerk of a Teleport in motion.
    What seemed like minutes later (although I knew it was only seconds) we all found ourselves at the entrance to the Plant. I handed Akinai the balls containing the Pichu and the Mawile.
    "Don't be a stranger now," I informed the Trainer. Dual nodded his agreement, and the two of us watched as Akinai and Lia walked back towards the town. It had been good to see them again, and they looked like they had been doing well.
    "So, what did you talk with Lia about?" I asked my Gallade.
    “I really hope this reinforced shatterproof glass can hold up,” I mumbled to myself as I finished caulking the last of the windows that had been broken in the Abandoned Power Plant a few days ago. Apparently, there had been a chain reaction of several Electrode Exploding after one had been disturbed by a bad-tempered Pichu. The Ranger that had been present for the spectacle had said he’d never heard something so loud in his entire life when I’d gone to visit him at the hospital he’d been taken to. The mega explosion had shattered dozens of windows and other glass structures, such as screens of old computer monitors; all of the broken glass had taken days to fully clean up, and the windows had needed to be replaced.
    I leaned back with a sigh and wiped my forehead, glad the job was finally done. Everyone else had left about an hour ago, so I was the last one to leave. I was admiring my handiwork when my radio started beeping at me. I somewhat aimlessly unclipped it from my belt and switched it on.
    “Sara,” I replied, and a moment later the receptionist at the Docks said, “Heya Ms. Sara, I really hate to ask you this since you’ve been working so much to get the Power Plant cleaned up, but…”
    “Need me to take a run?” I asked with a faint smile, chuckling at the woman’s distraught tone.
    “It’s an Endurance Run,” she added apologetically. I snorted and waved my free hand before remembering the receptionist couldn’t see the motion.
    “This will be my first time leading a Trainer on an Endurance Run,” I replied merrily. “It’ll probably be fun.”
    “It’s…for the Power Plant,” the other woman said hesitantly, and even though I was more than fine with taking a Trainer through the Park, I have to admit I cringed a little when I found out I’d be spending even more time here. I then sighed and shrugged.
    “Ah well, it’s cool. Gimme a second to get to the Outpost and I’ll get his information.” The receptionist agreed and I shut off my radio, clipping it back on my belt and releasing my Sigilyph Regalia from his PokeBall. After a moment to give him our destination, we Teleprted to the Ranger Outpost for the Plant. About five minutes later I had the Trainer’s information pulled up on the screen. One Joe Smith, bringing four Pokemon and a fair number of Balls with him but not much else. Pretty standard fare.
    =We will be waiting here, or returning to the Plant?= Regalia telepathically asked after I had finished looking over Joe’s application. I pondered for a moment, then came to a conclusion.
    “I’ll take a warp pad to the Plant and wait there, and you can wait here. That way one of us will be wherever Mr. Smith should decide to arrive.” Regalia sent a rush of acknowledgement through the mental link we shared and I made my way to the warp pad near the door. After stepping on it, the pad activated and I was teleported back to the entrance of the Power Plant.
    =Should I bring him to you or direct him to use the warp pad?= came Regalia’s inquiry a moment later.
    “Whichever he’s more comfortable with, or if he’s riding one of his Pokemon if that’s fine too, if he prefers it,” I answered, both telepathically and physically. “If he comes here instead of the Outpost I’ll call you.”
