    Mushrooms. Can't say I expected those. I guess I should've, but…

"Sela, hit Baltoy with a Magical Leaf!" Baltoy was in the perfect position to try and capture it; all it needed was a bit more damage for a really good chance of success, and Magical Leaf would do just that. Sela's Magical Leaf attack was partially Psychic; as she didn't have leaves on her person, she created them solely for the attack. For the most part, it was identical to a Grass-type's Magical Leaf, beyond the focus required to use it and the Grass-types natural affinity for the move; Magical Leaf was still highly accurate and still moderately powered, and it still hit weaknesses to Grass-type attacks, which is what we needed.

As Sela materialized the rainbow of leaves for her attack, I tossed one of my Park Balls to her to add to the leaves. She caught it near-effortlessly, and all I could do after that was wait to see if Baltoy was captured by the attack.

Baltoy was in a prime position to be attacked; unable to move and too distracted to ready a counterattack, it was completely open for whatever Siless decided would be the best course of action. Turned out that was a Magical Leaf, a strange attack that struck with leaves conjured from an unexplained type of energy. After telling Sela what to do, Siless tossed a Park Ball up to her, which she deftly caught. She then flicked her wrist, sending her attack towards Baltoy.

The leaves struck Baltoy a moment later, some of them also hitting the mushrooms holding the Pokemon in place and slicing through them. Even though this caused Baltoy to be released from its imprisonment, it was stunned by the attack and could do nothing more than slide to the rain-slick cave floor, unmoving.

Sela wasted no time tossing the Park Ball at her foe as she lowered to the ground, landing softly as the Park Ball bounced off Baltoy’s back and popped open. The Pokemon was drawn inside and the Ball clicked shut, wiggling feebly before coming to a rest. I went over and picked up the Ball, making sure it was secure before facing my Trainer and grinning.

“Looks like you guys are on a roll today! Are you ready to keep going, or do you wanna take a moment to rest first?”

Sara asked if we wanted to rest a bit before going on. Sela didn't seem to want to stop completely; indeed she responded by asking to keep walking. I didn't think I would be using her for the next battle, since she just had two straight battles, and she would be the one to actually need a rest anyways. If she wanted to relax by walking about, there wasn't much of a reason not to.

"Let's keep moving. Sela seems to have a bit too much energy to rest up with a break." I was interested in seeing what came up next. Sela did an excellent job with her two battles, but it was about time that Missy was able to come out and Sela take a turn resting during battle.

The Reuniclus, would not take its eyes off us it looked happy to see people, but I wanted to move on. I gave my pokedoll to my Ranger, and he gave it a squeeze, then through the pokedoll at Reuniclus. The pokemon went right for it, and we left. Ranger Gaius said he wanted to take me down to the lake at the end of the valley, because a lot of pokemon go down to the valley floor. So it would be a nice place to look for pokemon, we set off and it was not long before we come across a pokemon chasing a field mouse. I pulled out my pokedex to what it was. The pokemon was a Purloin, a Dark type pokemon this was not a pokemon I wanted.

“I don’t want this pokemon I would like to try, and sneak pass this pokemon. But if we can’t I have another pokedoll I can use”

I took out the pokedoll, and got ready to hand it to my Ranger I then took out my pokeplayer, and hit play on it in hope that a Gastly would hear it and came.

“I don’t want this Pokemon,” Tiberius said, disappointed by the cat-like creature. “I would like to try and sneak pass this Pokemon. But fi we can’t I have a another Pokedoll I can use.”

As I tried to steer us past the Purrloin it stopped chasing the mouse and strolled up to yes. I grabbed the doll from Tiberius’s outstretched hand and tossed it at the Dark type. The Purrloin playfully attacked the doll, letting us by it.

But as I tried to led us past the cat Pokemon another cat creature stalked towards us. It was the evolved form of Purrloin, a Liepard. It was probably a parent and didn’t like us being near its child.

“How do you want to deal with this guy?” I pointed at the oncoming Pokemon.

The dumb cat took the pokedoll, and begain playing with it. We started to move away, when the evolved form of Purrloin, Liepard made its way through the grass, my Ranger asked me what I wanted to do with this pokemon. I wanted to just KO; it, and be done with it but that would take more time.

“Lets just leave this pokemon, and if it wont let us i’ll use my last pokedoll to get away”

Siless opted to continue moving instead of resting, taking long enough to hit Play on the PokePlayer again. The recorded cry of a Gothita echoed around the cave for a few moments, but nothing came forward to investigate. I smiled apologetically at Siless as his Player ejected the Disc, its number of uses spent for this visit.

“Seems like they’re all either too busy to investigate or just not around to hear it,” I said. It could be frustrating to not draw out what you were looking for, so I decided not to give Siless time to dwell on the poor luck he’d had with the PokePlayer and instead led him down a narrow path deeper into the cave we’d entered.

“So, how do you like working at the Park? I didn’t recognize you at first, since I’d only briefly seen you maybe once or twice before I had to take some time off, so I don’t really know how you’ve been handling it. I try my best to get to know what all the Rangers think of their jobs and to address any concerns they might have.”

"It's been nice working here. A bit dangerous at times, but no more so than normal training. This is probably a lot safer, to be honest, since you're trained for these situations." Stampeding Tauros and sleeping Snorlax (surprisingly very dangerous) were just a few of the obstacles I've had to deal with; without my experience as a Ranger up to those points, I probably would have ended up severely injured from both situations. With my training (and help from Sela, of course), I was able to avoid getting hurt in both situations, but there was no doubt in my mind that it could have been a lot worse.

"The worst that's happened to me so far… I was sent in to relieve a Ranger for a run in the Outer Heavens. Everything started alright, but soon the tower started collapsing around us." Sela shivered slightly; even though she was in her ball at the time, she was fully aware of what was going on around us. "We were out before it fell, and once it was safe we were sent back to assess damages and assist any Pokémon that were hurt. The Trainer on that run volunteered too, though I'm not sure if she was actually able to do anything; I went back to the Heavens before the higher-ups were able to get her request for volunteering."

I wasn't sure if Sara was prepared for anything quite like that. She wasn't around for the closing of the Heavens, and I had no clue how much she had heard of it. I was interested to see what was coming up next in the cave, but depending on how long that took, Sara may want me to keep thoughts flowing. I made sure to keep my mind on the task at hand; even if I was to pass the time by sharing my experiences as a Ranger, I had to keep aware of the situation. In the narrow passages of the cave, an ambush was more than possible from any of the possibly territorial Pokémon in the area.

“Let’s just leave this Pokemon, and if it won’t let us, I’ll use my last Pokedoll to get away,” Tiberius said, disgusted with the turn of events. He had already given away all his Pokedolls and still hadn’t seen the Pokemon he wanted.

“Let’s see if the mother will agree,” I responded, seizing him by the elbow and indicated for him to follow me.

I slowly walked around the pair of cat Pokemon, careful not to turn my back or appear as if I was running. But the Pokemon didn’t seem to care, we had come near its young and it felt affronted. When I could sense it was about to pounce, I grabbed the client’s last Pokedoll and tossed it to the Dark Pokemon.

With the two Pokemon now fully engaged with their plush toys I continued out walk into the wild areas. “Let’s head up some ways onto the flanks,” I said to Tiberius after a few minutes. “Maybe we’ll have better luck.”

With that I turned and headed up into the rocky areas. We had just exited the grassy valley floor when I spotted a new Pokemon. I pointed it out to the trainer. “Yamask want one?”

OOC : $10,500-$500=$10,00 also use the pokeplayer please.
    ------

The Liepard didn’t want to let us pass so, I had to use my last Pokedoll to get away for the dumb cat if I came across one more pokemon like that I would KO; it just for fun. This run was becoming a bad Park run I had use my voice disc, and could use it two more times then it was done for. We left the grassy area and began to move to the rocky areas off the valley floor. “Maybe we’ll have better luck.” my Ranger said to me but luck was not on my side today anymore bad pokemon come my way and I was done with it all. Then My Ranger spotted a new pokemon it was a Yamask. Gaius asked me if I wanted one

“Nope its a okay pokemon but, not what i’m looking for lets see if this one will let us pass and if not I have money for a pokedoll”

I nodded as Siless spoke, recounting his experiences in the Park and feeling a little nostalgic. I’d been handed the reins of the Park long ago, when the original Heads had inexplicably abandoned it. Back then I’d been completely new to the Park and had overseen a major rehaul of it, even though I’d barely had any idea what I was doing. That was years ago, though, and nowadays, I was as familiar in the Park as I was in my own home.

Then he explained that he had been present when Outer Heaven had started to collapse. I sighed a little at that, somewhat sad to hear the tale. Of course I’d been informed as it happened what was going on, but my reasons for leaving in the first place had kept me from returning to help with the aftermath. I’d felt horrible about it; after all, I was Head Ranger. My duty was to the Park to ensure it ran smoothly and was taken care of. I knew the various Elite Rangers were more than capable of handling the situation without me, and they had done so admirably, but it had still made me feel horridly guilty to have not been able to come help out.

“I’ve been meaning to take a team to investigate the ruins they found underneath the collapse tower,” I replied as we ambled along. “We still don’t really know what caused Outer Heaven to just go down like that. There wasn’t enough structural damage to make it collapse so suddenly. I have a feeling it might have something to do with those ruins, but until we can get down there and have a look around, it’s just conjecture.”

I then halted, having noticed something out of the corner of my eye. Flutter noticed it as well from her place on my shoulder and chittered softly in warning, her wings vibrating ever so slightly as she prepared to lay down Sleep Powder on whatever was slinking around in the shadows. I patted her head to calm her as I faced the direction the movement had come from. Nothing happened for a long moment, but then a gray figure slowly materialized into view from the darkness in front of us.

It was a Dusknoir, a strong Ghost Pokemon that was the final evolved form of Duskull. I eyed the Ghost Pokemon as it hovered in front of us, effectively blocking our path. It didn’t seem outwardly aggressive, but sometimes what you saw wasn’t what you got with Pokemon. I shot a look at Siless before returning my attention to Dusknoir.

“What do you want to do?” I murmured as Dusknoir simply watched us with an unreadable expression.

Dusknoir weren't common in the wild by any stretch of the imagination. For this one to have reached its final evolution stage meant it was powerful enough on its own to emulate the energies from a trade, and possibly a Reaper Cloth as well. To challenge a wild one meant you were either confident you were going to beat it or you were suicidal, and while I was certain training could push us ahead in the battle, it would still end up hurting the Pokémon too much to continue the run, especially when, for such a powerful Pokémon, I would prefer to raise it on my own as much as I can.

"Let's… try and get going." I quickly exchanged the used Gothita voice disk for my secondary Solosis disk in the Poképlayer. I would keep it off until I was certain Dusknoir wasn't going to try to fight, but I did have two Pokémon in mind to get when I came here; if I wasn't getting one, I could at least attempt the other while it's possible. I also grabbed Missy's Pokéball; if Dusknoir attacked, she would be our first line of defense. Hopefully, if it came to that, all we would need would be to scare it off, but I didn't want Sela to jump into yet another fight immediately before she got a chance to rest up a bit.

The trainer seemed to think this one over for a couple of seconds before coming to a decision. “Nope, it’s an okay Pokemon, but not what I’m looking for. Let’s see if this one will let us pass, and if not I have money for a Pokedoll.”

“Sure thing. I don’t think the Ghost has spotted us just yet, maybe it will leave us alone.”

No sooner had I spoken then I saw the Yamask spot us and come gliding over, clearly intrigued by us. I exchanged a doll for some cash and watched as Tiberius sent the doll sailing to Yamask. The Pokemon quickly disappeared behind a boulder as it went after the plush toy.

“Let’s go.” Because our luck hadn’t been that good I decided to lead us to a cave that I knew was nearby. Rare Pokemon liked to frequent it to get a drink of water and some rest.

Just as we reached the mouth a hulking exited the shadows. It was a Giratina, a legendary Pokemon.

“Too bad you don’t have a camera,” I said wistfully to my trainer.

The pokemon here did the impossible, they made me hate Meteor Valley. the Ghost pokemon spotted us, and once again I had to use a pokedoll. I tossed the pokedoll far away from me, and the Yamask turned around and went for the pokedoll. We then started walking again ranger Gaius Knew a cave that was close by so, we went for it just as we reached the mouth of the cave, and from the shadows came a great hulking exited the cave it was a legendary pokemon my ranger looked at me and said

“Too bad you don’t have a camera”

He was right but now I wanted to go.

“Lets head out and see what other pokemon are waiting for us, to find them and I have money if this pokemon wont let us pass”

“Let’s head out and see what other Pokemon are waiting for us to find them, and I have money if this Pokemon won’t let us pass,” Tiberius responded, not caring because you couldn’t catch a legend in the park.

I led us back down the cave, and away from the Giratina, but it still pursued us so I had no choice but to pass out a doll to it. With the legend satisfied it let us leave its territory.

Since the Giratina was guarding that cave I knew that we wouldn’t be able to go there, and even if we could enter chances were that the legend chased away all the other Pokemon.

Luckily for us I knew of another cave system nearby. It would be just around this bend. But as we rounded the bend we came onto another Pokemon sitting sedately on a rock, slightly levitating.

“Ah, you are fortunate indeed, you’ve ran into the rare Abra.”

Ranger Gaius led me away from the cave, and we took off but the Giratina pursued us so, I passed my ranger the money and he took out a pokedoll then tossed it at Giratina. The legendary pokemon was now satisfied, we left its territory. I didn’t know were ranger Gaius wanted to go, but I would give it one last shot if I didn’t find a good pokemon I was out, this was the last straw. Just then we walked around a bend, but as we walked around it there was a pokemon on a rock slightly levitating up off it. “Ah, you are fortunate indeed, you’ve ran into the rare Abra.” Said ranger Gaius this was the first great pokemon all day. This made up all the crappy pokemon we have found so, I would get this pokemon the get out out of Meteor Valley. I then reached for two of my pokeball’s, and let out Empoleon and Gliscor.

“Okay guys, this is it Abra we get this, and then we are out of here so who wanted to battle it?”

    “Empoleon!”

    “Gliscor what about you?”

    “Gliscor Gliscor”

“Okay no problem, let do it Empoleon”

I returned Gliscor to his pokeball then, me and Empoleon when a little closer to Abra. I wanted to use a weak attack so I didn’t hurt it to much, so a water gun attack was a nice choice to start with, but I had a plan it wasn't the best plan, but I knew it would work because I had use this once before on Mount Deckbi to fight a fire pokemon with my Swampert.

“Okay Empoleon here is what you are going to do. I want you to use your Whirlpool attack, but when you do make it into a twister like back on Deckbi you got?”

    “Empoleon”

I watched Empolen, use its Whirlpool attack then Empoleon eyes and body begain to shine, and the Whirlpool rinsed up after a few seconds the Whirlpool turned into a water twister. The wind picked up and the water twister was throwing water all over the place it was like it was raining, if I didn’t know better I would think that I was in a Hurricane. Then Empoleon let out a burst of water, which sent to water twister right for Abra but I was not done yet.

“Empoleon use your Ice Beam attack now!”

Empoleon took a deep breath the use, his Ice Beam attack. the beam hit the water twiste,r and Empleon was not letting up the Ice Beam begain to freeze the water twister. Empoleon stopped its attack right as it did I heard what sounded Like glass breaking then, the water twister was no longer throwing water but snow, Then there was a boom! sound and the twister turned it to a blizzard twister with in seconds to ground was blanketed in white snow. The snow twister was about to hit Abra would it I didn’t know but I was about to find out.

I could practically see drool coming from Tiberius’s mouth at the sight of the rare Abra. This was a Pokemon most trainers never tried to escape from. Even if they had an Alakazam they would catch the Pokemon and attempt to trade, that was the demand of an Abra.

The trainer reached to his belt and pulled off two of his Pokeballs and called out the Pokemon within. “OKay, guys, this is it. Abra we get this, and then we are out of here. So who wants to battle it?”

Both Pokemon sounded excitedly at the prospect. Tiberius thought it over before choosing to go with his Empoleon. “Okay, no problem, let’s do it, Empoleon!” He recalled his Gliscor and moved closer to the now interested Abra.

“Okay, Empoleon, here’s what you are going to do. I want you to use your Whirlpool attack, but when you do make it into a twister like you did back on Mt. Deckbi, got it?”

The Empoleon responded by closing its eyes and concentrating on the Whirlpool attack. The Abra tilted its head and watched the Empoleon call up the water, which only took a few seconds for water to puddle before the Water Pokemon.

After only fifteen seconds Empoleon had managed to call up a orb of water about the size of car. This water began to spin rapidly in the air, combining the two elements.

“Empoleon, use your Ice Beam attack now!” Tiberius called.

I smiled as I realized what the trainer was doing. He was essential creating a controlled ice tornado. It acted like a blizzard but could keep a Pokemon trapped for a precious few seconds. But before the Icebeam could combine with the Whirlpool Abra teleported to the side of Empoleon, one of its small hands balled up and glowing a yellow, with electricity coating it. With a sharp jab the little Pokemon delivered a Thunder Punch to the ribs of Empoleon. Soon as the move connected it teleported back to its original spot.

The electricity ran over the skin of Empoleon, but it didn’t paralyze the bird Pokemon and it managed to fire off the combo at Abra. The smaller golden Pokemon got caught up in the ice blizzard, being tossed about like a rag doll.

I thought this would greatly hamper the Abra, but it simply teleported out of the attack and fired off a brightly colored beam of energy as a response. This beam caught the Empoleon by surprise, eliciting a squawk from the penguin Pokemon.

Siless opted to try and get around Dusknoir without battling it, and I couldn’t say I blamed him. Sela had already been in two battles, and both of his Pokemon had natural weaknesses to Dusknoir since it was a Ghost Pokemon. However, the large spectral Pokemon didn’t seem so keen on letting us pass by so easily. When we tried scooting past it, the Pokemon held its arms out to the side, blocking the narrow pathway and preventing us from going by.

For whatever reason the Ghost was keeping us from moving on, but so far it wasn’t resorting to attacking. I had no idea what it was trying to convey, as it was silent the whole time and had only moved to bar our way around it. Maybe it was trying to keep us from venturing into its territory, or trying to protect us from something dangerous further down the path. Maybe it was simply being mischievous and blocking our way because it felt like being a pest, though Dusknoir didn’t typically act like that. For whatever reason it was clear we weren’t going to have much luck moving forward.

“Your call,” I told Siless in a quiet voice, though I was certain Dusknoir could still hear my words. If it did it offered no reaction to them. “We can either try to get by it again, go back the other way and take another path, or try and battle it long enough to get by.” I didn’t mention a fourth option, which was using a PokeDoll to distract the powerful Ghost. Suggesting it out loud would sort of defeat the point of it being a sneaky move on our part.

    @Dog of Hellsing

Dusknoir blocked our path. It didn't seem hostile, however, and it would be horribly stupid to assume the worst without cause. Instead, I instructed Sela to translate for both of us; I wasn't sure if Dusknoir had enough experience with humans to understand me, but I knew I didn't have enough experience to understand it, so even if it knew what I was asking I needed Sela's help.

I told Sela I wanted to ask three things. First off, I wanted to know why Dusknoir was blocking us; if it was dangerous, it would be best to turn back, and if it was its own territory, it would only be good to go on with its permission. Second, I wanted to know if Dusknoir knew where any Solosis was. I asked Sela to, when she got to this point in the conversation, tell me when to start up the disc to help with identification.

Finally, if Dusknoir wasn't going to attack us or purposefully hinder us, I wanted Sela to ask if Dusknoir minded having its picture taken. I figured I could post it up in the main outpost, either to let Trainers and Rangers know it's friendly and would like visitors or that it would prefer to be undisturbed, whichever Dusknoir preferred. Either way, that required Dusknoir's cooperation, and I wasn't going to stick around long enough to take the picture if it wasn't going to cooperate.

The attack was about to work when Abra Teleported to the side of Empoleon, one of its small hands balled up and glowing a yellow, with electricity coating it. With a sharp jab the little Pokemon delivered a Thunder Punch, to the ribs of my Empoleon. Soon as the move connected it teleported back to its original spot. The Thunder Punch hurt Empoleon a little bit but didn’t paralyze Empoleon. He then got the combo attack off, the ice blizzard picked up the little golden Abra,
and began to throw it around. I couldn't help but smile I new it was wrong but watching to the pokemon go round, and round was funny pour guy. I took that opportunity, to look at my pokedex to see what move Abra might know when it came up. The moves the most worried were, Toxic, Counter, Thunder Wave, Tri Attack, Fire Punch, and Encore, all of the move could wound my Empoleon but there was one move I needed to see if Empoleon had so, I turnd the pokedex to him. The move I was looking for Empleon did learn so I needed a new pokemon in. I looked up and Abra had just Teleported out of the ice Blizzard, and countered the attack. Abra fired off a brightly colored beam of energy as a response. This beam caught the Empoleon by surprise. Empoleon let out a cry of Pain it didn’t do to much damage, but still did some and that’s what matters. I knew what pokemon I was going to send out but I needed to check, and make sure it had the move I was looking for so I checked the pokedex, and sure enough it did so, I took out Empoleon’s Containment unit, and had him return I then took out my Scizor’s Containment unit, and called her out the red and white pokeball opened up, and a beam of light came from within, and formed Scizor. Scizor was a Bug, Steel, type and just about bug attack from her would knock Abra out. Now that Scizor was out it was time to decide was moves combo to use. The first combo attack that came to me was, a Iron Defense, and Agility, and Double Team, that way I could get all of his stats up the I would use a Swords Dance with all that power, and Defense, Scizor would be unstoppable. Then again I needed to hit it one more time to weaken it then I could do all that so, a quick attack like Bullet Punch would be nice to do and a Double Team on top of that just in case Abra try’s to Teleport, and counter attack Scizor.

“Scizor use you’re Bullet Punch attack now!”

Scizor took off at lighting speed, he got half way there when I called out the next move.

    “Use you Double Team Scizor”

Scizor body started to fade away, he was about to use the attack. The chance of this working was small but the idea, was to have Scizor use Bullet Punch, and before it hit use Double Team and make copy’s of his self so, if Abra Teleported and counter attacked there was a chance he would miss, and Scizor could hit him. It wasn’t perfect but it was worth a shot. I wanted to see what this little Pokemon would do about Scizor would it try to move or wait for the last minute then attack one thing was for sure and that was waiting for a attack to hit or miss seem like a days.
