Ranger Jake​

I watched the horizon as I waited for the trainer to arrive. Headquarters had radioed in that they were going to be teleported in. I sat on the ground and watched as Saline, my Empoleon, floated in the water near the docks where trainers usually arrived.

Suddenly there was a bright white flash and after uncovering my hand that I used to shield my eyes I saw the trainer called Miho. She was small, maybe not even a teenager, but she looked pretty capable. I tried to be nice. I was pretty big and I easily intimidate people.

"Hi, I'm Jake and I'll be leading you through the woods today," I said, extending a hand for her to shake.

Miho squeal's a little as she's teleported in, landing in front of the large ranger. "Wow...thats...really different from how it normally is with Christine..." She looks up at the large ranger with his hand outstreached before smiling, taking it and shaking it warmly. "Hi Jake...I'm Miho, trainer extrodinair." Her eyes drift around as she shakes his hand, taking in her surroundings.

She shook my hand and told me she was a trainer extraordinaire. Well, she's 12 years old and she already has a Gardevior and a Dragonair; you didn't exactly have to tell me that for me to know.

I called over Saline and she splashes out of the water and walks over towards us.

"This is Saline. She'll be accompanying us through the forest just in case."

I heard a loud noise behind me and whipped around to see a Nidoking stampeding out of the forest. His large horns were glistening in the sunlight and his eyes were angry. He stood there glaring at us but didn't move. I turned back to Meho and said,

"Well it looks angry. We could calm it down or, if you want, you could battle it. Your choice."

Miho immediatly twisted around as she heard the roar, eyes widening as a sly smile came to her lips. "A Nidoking...well, thats a pretty strong pokemon..." She looked down as she took a pokeball from her belt, feeling it expand in her hand as soon as she pressed the button. "But you can take it, right Christine?" The same grin stayed on her face as she released her pokemon, a slender green humanoid.
"Devoir..." Christine looked up at the raging Nidoking, streaching her arms out before falling into a battle stance. Miho nods softly. "Alright Christine, wait for it to attack, then quickly teleport behind it."

OOC: no present tense is fine, i was just commenting on how irregular it is. And you'll want to describe your moves in detail if you want them to work the way they're supposet to

I watched as the Gardevoir got into a defensive stance. This seemed to make the Nidoking even anrier. It let out a ferocious roar and thenset off running after Christine.

Christine began to glow white and then dissappeared with a swirl of sparkling energy only to appear again right behind Nidoking. It turned out that the charge was only a feint because Nidoking whirled around and sent a clenched fist, sparkling with static into Christine's midsection causing her to be pushed a few feet back and clutch her stomach in pain.

I noticed that the scratch that the punch made was looking bad and christine was wincing as she tried to move. She was poisoned.

Miho curses under her breath a little as Christine is knocked back, gasping in pain. She clutches her stomach a little, looking at the Nidoking.
Both pokemon's eyes glow for a second as syncronize kicks in, Nidoking's own poisen soon corsing through it's veins. Miho looks as she notices it, cocky smile no longer on her lips. "Alright christine...use psychic to throw it in the water!"
Christine nods as she and Nidoking are covered in a faint blue glow, one hand raising as she attempts to lift it up in the air.

OOC: That's good but try more. Be as elaborate as you can while still not saying the result. Watch how I describe Christine using psychic. I cut down the power of Psychic to 50 because you only used 1 sentence. Consider how much damage it still did and choose you next movve wisely. And By the way, wait for me to incite synchronize. You're not allowed.

I watched as Neho bit her lip unconciously with worry and then yelled out more orders for Christine.

"Alright Christine, use psychic to throw it in the water."

Christine closed her eyes, bent her head, and held out her arms in a ballerina-like pose. A faint hum rose in the air like multiple people humming different songs under thier breath. The noise seemed to enrage Nidoking more and he ran full throttle at Christine, obviously not a feint this time.

Before he made it, however, he began to glow purple along with Christine who was now staring straight at him with focus. Nidoking thrashed in the air as he was jolted around and finally tossed, flailing, into the water.

The humming died down and Christine breathed out sharply and began to wheeze. It took a lot of effort to perform that move. Nidoking Poked his head out of the water glaring with a look of utter rage at Gardevoir. Suddenly, he held his arms out in front of him and the water began to vibrate, shaking with jittery ripples.

Then a huge gush of water flew out of the water, straight at Christine. She held up her arms and ducked her head, but the pulse of water struck her hard, throwing her to the ground.

Miho looks at the battle field carefully. Psychic didn't seem to have as much effect as it should, probably due to the pain Christine was in. Still, it had taken Nidoking out of physical range for now, hopefully giving time to set up a little.
"Alright, I know it hurt's Christine, but you've got to keep going. Use Double Team to confuse him!"
Christine climbs to her feet, closing her eyes as she hear's her trainer's command. She fazes out of sight briefly as another Gardevoir appears, followed by another, and another. Soon there are five Gardevoir's, four of them mearly illusions to keep Nidoking occupied while Christine recuperates.

OOC: That's much better, but just remember that if you want to catch it, you need to be as descriptive as possible. Look at Bumblebee's RP when he finds a Relicanth. HE doesn't just use heavy descriptive quality, but also crative move combos and usage. Try to imitate that.

I watched as Christine winced horribly and then flicked out of view. She flickered in a few other places too. The flickering got faster and faster until the copies of her Double Team were fairly solid.

THe Nidoking snorted and jumped out of the water. He was getting tired and didn't have enough energy to be angry and battle with Christine. He decided to focus on battling.

The Nidoking was a bit confused at the copies and launched into a two-footed, sideways, kick only to pass straight through the copy and land harshly on the ground behind it. The copy flickered and faded as Nidoking passed through it.

Miho smiles a little as she see's it. "Perfect Christine! now...let's do this quickly...teleport behind it and smack it with confusion! Right into the ground!"
One Gardevoir releases a white glow, a swirl of energy covering it before suddenly dissapearing, reappearing a few feet behind Nidoking with a slight wobble from her weakness.
As Christine's concentration is broken, the illusion's fade away softly. Still, Christine looks at Nidoking with a soft pant as she brings both hands to her chest. Both pokemon are covered in a blue glow again, christine slowly raising her hands above her head as she attempts to lift Nidoking.

 

Ranger Jake​

OOC: yes thats much better.

I watched as Christine mustered up all of her strength and Teleported with a flair of glittering white energy. When she reappeared behind the Behemoth, she held out her arms in a threatening way and glowed blue along with Nidoking. Nidoking began to spin fast around on the ground.

Christine focused hard on immobilizing Nodiking with the spinning but he began to Thrash around in the air, managing to land a kick and a punch on Chrisine's hurt midsection.

After the attack was done, Christine deposited him about 10 feet away on the ground. Nidoking was really weak. He struggled with conciousness as he barely managed to get up on his feet.

"I would try and catch him now, I doubt you're gonna get it any better than this."

Miho nods softly as she walks forward, pulling a hyper ball out of her bag. "You did amazing christine...Use wish now."
Christine looks at her trainer with a nod, eyes closing as she brings her palms together. A soft white glow covers her body as she almost prays, asking for her wounds to be healed to an invisable force. Once her wish is made, she looks at her trainer, following her uncertainly.
Miho smiles, staying back a fair distance from Nidoking, ready to dash out of the way if it suddenly attacks. "Well what did you expect? If you come in acting like your in chage, of course someone's gonna fight back." She lightly tosses the ball in the air before catching it. "Still...your really strong, you know? Once we sort out this attidute problem of yours, your going to look great on my team." Miho gives a nod at christine before throwing the ball as hard as she can at the Nidoking, crossing her fingers for goodluck.

 

Ranger Jake​

I watched as Christine threw the Hyper ball like a professional pitcher at the Nidoking. The nidoking melted into tanslucent red light which soared onto the Poke Ball. Gardevoir used wish to restore her health. Holding her hands together like when she used psychec, she staretet to sparkle. White globs of energy formed out of nowhere and flew at her restoring her health and increasing the diamond sheen. Finally, she stopped and looked up, healed to full health.

The Ball rocked back and forth several times before flying up in the air and releasing Nidoking who fell to the ground, too tired to attack. He was still concious enough to struggle with a Poke Ball, but he didn't have enough energy to battle. I walked over to the ball which had fallen near me and handed it back to Neho.

"Tough luck, but you should try again. This is about as low a health as you'll be able to get him."

Miho nods a little, thinking before looking at Christine. "Think I need some help...use Hypnosis Christine."
Christine nods a little as she looks into Nidoking's eyes. She makes a similar pose to when she uses Psychic as little ring's of energy drift into Nidoking's eyes, attempting to make relax it, and make it feel drowzy.

 

Ranger Jake​

Christine held out her arms imperiously and then mad a kind of clapping noise by hitting them together. the pulses of hypnosis distorted the light as they passed through the air on their way to the Pokemon laying on the ground.

Nidoking, who was close to fainting anyway, easily fell asleep, his body going slack on the ground.

Christine readied her ball.

Miho smiles again. "Thanks Christine...you've done amazing. Here...you deserve a rest." She pulls Christine's ball off her belt before withdrawing her, the Gardevoir giving a kind smile as she disappears in a flash of red light.
Miho then turns on the sleeping Nidoking, returning Christine’s ball to its holster. "Now...let's see if this works this time." The ball is tossed in the air as she gives an almost childish twirl, grabbing it as it falls and tossing it hard at the sleeping Drill Pokemon. “Please...” She thinks to herself as the ball soars through the air. “Make this one count.”

I watched as the ball soared through the air and once again transformed the Nidoking into red energy. As the sleeping pokemon flew into the ball, I couldn’t help but grit my teeth as well. The ball shaked fericiously, almost tipping itself over, but then in flashed red and it was over.

“Congrats on your new Nidoking!” I said happily to Neho.

Miho grins a little as she reaches down for the ball, holding it in her hand. "My first park Pokemon..." She lets out an excited squeal before throwing it in the air, grabbing it as it falls with another twirl before letting lose a victory sign. "I caught Nidoking!" Everything about this trainer shouted her youth, even using childish victory poses after difficult battles. She grins a little before turning to Jake, smiling. "Well, after you, Ranger Jake". Even as she talks, the ball is constantly being tossed up and down in her hand, never touching the floor or quite going to her belt yet.

"Well, after you, Ranger Jake," she said, absolutely shining with jubilation from her capture.

"I like the ring of that 'Ranger Jake'" I said chuckling.

"Well it depends. I have a few places that I was planning to hit today. We could go to the Pine Grove where bug pokemon like to chill, to Willow Swamp where poison Pokemon reign, or to the Savannah Scrub where it's a mix of all of them." I waved my hand towards three main paths leading into the woods.

"Hm..." Miho shrinks her newly captured Nidoking’s Pokéball as she thinks, swapping it in her hand with the third ball on her belt. “I’m not sure...how about...you help me out Yuna?”
From the ball pops out a large, blue and white dragon Pokémon, who immediately stretches out with a happy “Dragonair!” She looks around a little, spotting Miho before diving at her excitedly, making her gasp in shock.
“Y...Yuna! No!” She grunts as she puts her on the floor, looking at Jake slightly embarrassedly. “Sorry. Yuna’s not long evolved, and still thinks she’s a Dratini.” She sighs before looking at Yuna, putting a hand on her head. “Alright then. I want you to help me pick a way, alright?”
Yuna looks into her eyes for a second, before looking down the three paths, taking a second before bounding down the path to the Savannah Scrub.
Miho looks at Jake. “Well...looks like that’s where we’re going.”
