Mainly because Bee and I kept going on about it to T17.

No, in all seriousness (although we DID never shut up) Rangers were underpaid. When you think about it, the average monthly wage of the average ref is like, say, 40k, and all they have to do is memorise some obscure rules and punch stuff into a calculator. We have to do that, AND make decisions based on someone's writing quality (like a Grader, incidentally) AND do other little Park-based things like rolling lists, witnessing other people's stuff, etc etc etc. Before this rise, Rangers got the least pay for their work out of any URPG job (except perhaps Judges, I have no idea how they work).

With these new payment rules, we should be earning a lot closer to what we deserve. I want to note in passing (as the guy who works out the pay) that I might be a little bit harsher on expected quality when it comes to payment time, but in general everyone has high quality so only those who have doubts about their writing skills should worry.

 

The Stats Archive at both forums are updated with all the SUs inside. That also includes the Rangers. Kudos, and thanks to Chainy for sorting the entire thing out xD If anyone's name is missed out or etc, let me know.

I thought it was pretty obvious, but here's the thing. Voice Disks can be used only 5 times in the Park. After that, you discard it. Updated the Park Shop with this bit of info. Also removed Ranger's items since it has been somewhat redundant for a long while and merged Revival Herb + Pokedoll to the heal items and named them General Items.

 

Can a ranger or someone please clarify something to me. I havent been to the park in a while, and i have items like Super Potions from my last time in the park, but the old healing items have been replaced with what i think are equivalent items, but named differently, and i cant remember what Super Potion did. Any help?

 

Iirc they heal 50% HP

 

Hey everyone, just wanted to say that even though we were pretty much jobless for a week there, Ranger wages will still be going up on the 1st. Use these last few days to get a few more posts in. I hope everyone is looking forwards to our increased payments as much as I am! ^^

 

Well, wages should be just about the same then this period even with the new amount, seeing how we couldn't post for days...

 

Well thats not really an excuse we still had 20 other days worth of posting.

I just wanted to make sure of something. If I play a Voice Disk for a certain Pokemon, say Pichu, in the Pokeplayer, then I just have a 10% chance of encountering a Pichu after I play it? Does it do anything else?

 

Assuming the Pichu is not already in your encounters, (in which case it will automatically appear when you play the disk), otherwise the disk has 5 uses after pressing it you will have a 10% chance per encounter of it working and attracting a Pichu.

Hey everyone, slight update to Team Runs. From now on, if both Trainers wish to flee from an Encounter, only one escape roll is rolled, and that roll is used to determine whether both the Trainers escape. In this vein, if the Escape Roll fails, only one of the Trainers needs to throw a PokeDoll to escape, not both.

Also, while I'm here, just in case people aren't sure, if your partner intends to battle, you must battle with them. There is no option to wait on the sidelines while they use two of their own Pokemon.

So there you have it. This makes Team Runs even easier and cheaper, and since Rangers make more money off them I advise everyone to partner up and get on into the Park! ^^
