That shouldn't stop you from voting, if anything, it should MAKE you want to vote. Long stories must have a good plot in order to keep it so long, either that or a normal plot with tons of tiwsts, which is equally as fun to read. :]

The latter sounds fine to me; that'd leave 10 entries, which is 2 more rounds of 5, say 2 pass then, and we have our final 4 to decide between.

Not necessarily. It could just as likely be somebody who just rambles on in a pathetic attempt to brag about having more characters than other people...

(Definitely NOT talking about myself here ;-))

But seriously, people in my class at school brag about having the longest essays. It drives me insane. :banghead:

Yeah. Length does not equal, or even imply, quality or depth. And a really long story is definitely a turn off, as a lot of people probably don't want to read that much.

You're absolutely correct. I was the one who wrote the 44k story, and I don't expect to win. Why? There are other entries which pack more depth into a smaller space. The people who wrote them are definitely talented.

Addressing the second point of your statement - I didn't even intend for it to be that long. It just came out that way. (I even apologized for the length.)

You don't see me bragging, do you?

(And on the off chance that you do see me as being braggy, I didn't mean to be, sorry)
