Congrats to everyone! I was busy with exam prep, so couldn't vote last week or this week, but I had a scan of them, and they looked amazing!

And, of course, congrats to Neon and Trilo for winning Round 1

As for Round 2... Good luck, my rivals!
(Though, after a quick scan, I don't think you'll need it to beat me )

Oh, wow.

I never thought I'd actually make it through this round, so I'm very surprised that I actually did. While I did abstain from voting round 1, out of competitor's honour, I'll say that your story was perhaps the best among this bracket Neon. Regardless, may the better author win.

I am certainly glad you did make it. I adored the creative aspect of your story. My story had detail, but it lacked that spark that yours had. I got lucky with the voting bonus, or else I wouldn't be in the next round @[email protected] I guess some people just don't like my writing. Oh well, if those guys could please give me some criticism on how to improve, I would be very grateful.

EDIT: Are we allowed to edit our stories during the competition? Just minor things like a rewording here or there.

Absolutely not. By bragging I mean the relentless and inevitable onslaught that comes when I walk into my form room on the day an essay is due in. "How many characters did you do? I did one trillion and four! Lol! I'm so awesome," or "The paper I used up for my essay involved the death of two whole forests! That's a new personal record!" or perhaps "I did so many words that Microsoft Word took two minutes counting how many I did! How many did you do? ...Oh, well, never mind. I'm sure that's enough for a C."

It's as if they believe the length of an essay is directly proportional to the grade/mark. Bunch of idiots.

My favorite is, "The teacher said it had to be six pages or less, so I widened the margins by a half inch on each side and shrunk the font down to size eight. Oh, you did yours in twelve point font? Sheesh, slacker." Someone actually said that to me. XD

At any rate, I haven't been voting, but a few of the entries have certainly caught my eye. Nice work, you lot.

I'm claiming my money. I thought that thought the stories were shorter, they were also better this round than first round, overall.
