I'm not so sure about one part of the test, without seeming rude, but did you say that the longer a piece, the more money someone gets for voting for it?

I might have read incorrectly, of course, but if I didn't and this is the case, it would seem a little unfair to the shorter stories which might have better detail.

Sorry if I sound rude, I'm just trying to understand what's happening

You may have misunderstood me. ^^; You don't get money for each individual story, but the money you get for voting is just one sum for reading all of the stories. So, if you have five stories and they are all about 10K, the voter would get something like $2,000 because all of the stories were relatively short. However, if there are five stories and about three were around 30K each, the voter would get around $6,000 because quite alot of the stories they were recquired to read were lenghty and took a good amount of their time. Do you get what I'm saying?

I will determine prizes later today or tomorrow, now that I know the amount of entries. After I do, I'll announce them.

Now that I finished sleeping, Round One will start! Yes, this is going in rounds due to the good amount of entries we received. The winner of each round will get a money prize and move on to the final round.

Trust me to be lumped together with the best one, though I should have saw it coming.

Regardless, as it would only be fairest, I'll be listing my votes concerning first and second place only, with third being a bye for my own as it's a toss up between 4 stories leaving 2 as unvoted.

Whoo! I am up first. Hope everyone does well. I plan on voting for the remaining four respectively. No matter how long Bam's may take to read. I am afraid of Minuara's though, i hear it's scary good.

Id like to say good luck to all who joined. Sometimes I wish I hadnt written all those stories.You guys lucked out that I wasnt qualified to join!

Can we submit new stories that aren't for NWC while the contest is going on? Like I'm working on another story. If i were say to submit two stories or one story of the hard catergory, would that disqualify me?

Always be sure to read the rules before entering a competition.

But yeah, looks like you can, but if it's a successful capture while the contest is going on you get disqualified.
So I'd suggest you wait!

I have 'bout the third longest one, but I feel really good about my story. Only had a few, as in maybe 5, lines of dialogue and I had about 25k in my character count.
