    Re: The Newbie Writing Competition '10!

    Question: If I submit my story, let's say, today or tomorrow. If it gets graded before the 5th, can I alter it in the ways the grader suggests and enter the revised copy for voting?

    Re: The Newbie Writing Competition '10!

    EDIT;

    • Stories don't have to be graded or successful in the capture to be able to qualify. Failed and un-graded stories will be allowed to enter. All stories, however, must be finished before the deadline..
    • All stories must be posted on, and only on, BMG. The title should have (NWC) or (Newbie Writing Competition) in the title. This will make finding the entries and adding them to the list easier.

    To change my answer, yes.
    If a grader makes suggestions and you would like to change your story before the 5th, then that is acceptable. :)

    I think I worded the rules wrong. ^^;

    What I meant by the bolded parts was that you don't have to have a grade on your story in order to be entered; it can be entered without a grade or even if it failed. In some past contests, stories had to be graded before the voting could start, and they had to be succesful captures. That stalled the voting for a long while.

    So to answer your question, Neonsands, yes, you can edit your story with the grader's advice after it's graded.

    Sorry for the confusion, guys. ^^;

    *goes to re-word that rule*

    Can Story Pokemon be earned without repercussions after May 5th, or do new stories have to wait until voting is over?

    Wait until the results are up, or post the new story but specifically say "Do not grade until after NWC is over."

    grr, accursed Monster Hunter Tri has been taking my attention away from NWC entry, i'll never get it finished in time :bawling:.

    Edit: Yeah, suck it procrastination and distraction. All finished at 31k characters, now just to wait for my proofreader to get through this monstrosity.

    Thank you for the list. :) However, I'm not going to add the "Need Grade" stories until the authors themselves post here with a link saying their story is done. ^^

    Just had a great idea for my story. Is it okay if I catch a Shellos AND another Pokemon that's above the simple level?
