    OOC: -sigh- Yeah I know XD
    ====
    I paused for a moment to wonder what exactly Whiscash was planning. “Why would Whiscash use Sunny Day?” I said to myself, “It’s just at a disadvantage in this weather. If anything, this’ll help me avoid those water attacks… I didn’t even know Whiscash COULD learn Sunny Day. Oh well, all the more reason to catch it for myself!”

    Raiguy ripped a branch off of the tree, fanning himself to keep away the heat. He then yawned and stretched out on the tree, bathing in the sunlight. Clearly, he was just as relaxed about the attack as me, if not more. This was bittersweet though; if Raiguy didn’t take the fight seriously, they could be at a disadvantage.

    “Now’s no time for a nap Raiguy!” I said, “I don’t know what it’s planning, so play it safe! Use Tail Whip with your little…leaf…fan…thing why don’t you!!”

    Raiguy sighed, jumped down from the tree, and fanned Whiscash with the leaves. After he was sure the attack had ended, he shrugged, and then began to fan himself instead, looking completely uninterested.

    “Don’t just stand there, man, or you’ll get blasted!” I screamed, “Use Agility to move like the wind, ma brotha!” I said, pounding my chest and making a peace sign. Raiguy did a fist pump, then proceeded to dash around with Agility.

    OOC: In your RP's timeline, I've now caught up, mainly because I wrote half this before I realised it's supposed to be from Dual's point of view.

    ~~~~~
    I jogged up the river, heading towards where Cameron was. I knew where he was because I could always feel the direction Dual was in. It felt like a little nub inside my head that felt kind of achy when I was running in the direction Dual was. I ran around a small forest and then I found them. Cameron, Dual, Shadow, Scamper, and Mindbender were sandwiched between a Lombre and a Horsea. I ran over to Dual, and nodded my greetings.
    "When I capture you, you can have all the honey you want," Cameron said to the Horsea. He dropped a new Poke Ball onto the ground, and a bright white flash suddenly revealed an Infernape. I sighed. Not another one. I was starting to get a little sick of every single Trainer bringing a freaking Infernape. Cameron looked at the Infernape.
    “If the Lombre wants to leave, let it go," he said, “but Scamper, don’t let that Horsea escape you. Alright, Scamper, Wyldfyr, start off with a Swords Dance attack, we’re going to take this nice and slow. After that, Scamper, I want you to Quick Punch yourself to the other side of the river. Wyldfyr, all you need to do is Fake Out, try and slam it into that tree that is behind Lombre."
    Scamper and Wyldfyr started moving fluidly in a war dance, stretching their muscles and making dramatic poses. Scamper used his Aura abilities to make some glowing swords that he postured with, and Wyldfyr blew fire into the air. Seeing this, Horsea started bobbing around in the water in its own kind of dance, and the Lombre started jumping up and down too, in a kind of silly way. Suddenly, both Scamper and Wyldfyr were off like a shot. Wyldfyr moved incredibly fast towards the Lombre, but the Lombre was ready. Both of its hands shot to its head, and a bright white light emitted from its forehead. Wyldfyr screeched, and he barreled straight past Lombre into a tree. Lombre then took a jump away from the fire monkey, and it blew a stream of bubbles at him.
    Meanwhile, Scamper was using his incredible speed to run across the water. This wasn't anything new to me - Dual could do the same. Scamper blurred across the water, and he punched the Horsea on the top of its head. He then used the buoyancy of the little seahorse to launch himself high into the air. He twisted in the air then landed on his feet on the other side of the river, facing the Horsea. It was such an impressive manouever that I felt like clapping. There was no time for the Lucario to take a bow, though - the Horsea shot a stream of water at it from its long tube-like mouth.
    I looked in confusion around the brightly-glowing battlefield. There was no way Whiscash could learn Sunny Day. There was another Pokemon nearby, one that was interfering with the battle. I tapped Specialle's Poke Ball, and she flashed into existence.
    "Have a look around and see if you can find who caused this," I said to the Dusknoir. She grunted, and phased into the ground. I refocused on the battle.
    “Why would Whiscash use Sunny Day?” Daniel was muttering under his breath, “It’s just at a disadvantage in this weather. If anything, this’ll help me avoid those water attacks… I didn’t even know Whiscash COULD learn Sunny Day. Oh well, all the more reason to catch it for myself!”
    "I don't think the Whiscash did that," I said to him, "I reckon there's another Pokemon that's watching this battle and toying with us. Just keep battling normally, and I'll find out what's going on."
    Raiguy was pretending to sleep at the top of his tree. He was also fanning himself idly with a branch using his long tail, clearly enjoying the warmth.
    “Now’s no time for a nap Raiguy!” Daniel called, “I don’t know what it’s planning, so play it safe! Use Tail Whip with your little…leaf…fan…thing why don’t you?”
    Raiguy jumped down from the tree and started waving the branch around in front of the Whiscash. When it was clear that the Whiscash was looking a bit confused, Raiguy started fanning himself again. Apparently it was hard work battling in direct sunlight.
    “Don’t just stand there, man, or you’ll get blasted! Use Agility to move like the wind, ma brotha!” Daniel screamed, and Raiguy blurred back to the treeline. The Whiscash flopped around to redirect itself, and then it breathed a light-blue mist in the Direction of Raiguy. The mist moved on its own, reminding me of a target-seeking missile.
    Scamper's had delivered his attack just how I wanted him too, lightly. I didn't want him to do much damage there. That was just to give me an idea of how fast the Horsea's reflexes were, and they were not fast at all. It is pretty slow compared to the other Horsea I’ve seen. However, I wasn’t going to underestimate it, perhaps it was just caught off guard. If that was the case, then short ranged attacks wouldn’t be that good here. The only way to be sure was to attack it again with another close ranged attack. The Horsea had launched a Water Gun attack. Perhaps Scamper could counter that with Dragon Pulse. It was a move just like Flamerthrower, but it was the Dragon version. I was hoping to use the mist created from the two attacks colliding to follow up the attack with a combo we had been working on just for this trip. Thunderstrike. It was quite simple to learn. All he would do was combine two moves together. The speed boosting move Bullet Punch and the power packing super-effective move Thunder Punch. Scamper would have to start off with Thunder Punch; all he had to do was generate the electricity from inside of him. We used the thunder from the sky in our earlier battle with the Poliwag, but that was just luck that a thunderbolt just so happened to be coming down when he was performing the move the move, so it was like a small boost. Once that was done, his fists would begin to glow a bright white color which would eventually cover his entire arm. Then he would begin rapidly striking the Horsea with his electrical powered Bullet Punch. It was supposed to do a decent amount of damage, but not a lot. At least that was what I was hoping for. If it did a lot, then that would be fine as well.
    Wyldfyr on the other hand didn’t have the same turn out that Scamper did. The Lombre moved just in time causing Wyldfyr to crash into the tree the Lombre was supposed to be smashed into. The Lombre took that time to launch its attack. In that time however, Wyldfyr did manage to help me realize that this Lombre was tricky. I was hoping for one with the lazy nature that I heard these Pokémon posses. If it wanted to play tricks, then so were we. The trees had played against us, but it was because we played the wrong card. Instead of slamming him into the tree like we had planned, we would use the trees ourselves in one of Wyldfyr’s tricks. Since Wyldfyr didn’t know Double Team, I was going to have to use Substitute to create a clone of him. He would use flash fire. It wasn’t really an attack, but it would hopefully blind the Lombre with a bright light that he created with his flames and disappear, however, the Lombre would still see him there, well, the clone at least and that was after he could see again from the flash. He could be in the tree behind the Lombre, waiting for the right moment to attack. The attack the Lombre was using would hopefully hit this clone. This trick would hopefully give us the time we needed to perform our attack. While the Lombre was distracted with the substitute, Wyldfyr would come up from behind and hit him with Aerial Ace. It would be hard, but it wouldn’t be hard enough to knock it out. I knew flying moves were Lombre’s weakness, but Wyldfyr wouldn’t attack it too hard, just enough for it to be close to the captureable level.
    If that worked out, I would then have them switch targets. I would do that, but it would be a cooperative move. It would also be the first time I used it, but if it worked out well then it would definitely pay off. It would also make this capture come quicker than expected and be much easier to do so and I could move on and find more Pokémon. As a collector, that is all I wanted.
    “All right, Scamper, turn that Water Gun attack into mist with Dragon Pulse. Then use Thunderstrike. I know you can do it.” I called out. “You’ve done it before so just concentrate. If you need to get into the water, then that’s fine. Hit it semi hard, but don’t go close to causing it to faint. We don’t want that. Wyldfyr use Double Flare Burst, then Aerial Ace. Use what you crashed into to help you with your attack. You can do this. Like I told Scamper, I don’t want you to hit it too hard. Hard enough to hurt, but not to knock it out.” I tried to praise and motivate my Pokémon as much as possible to help them perform better, at least that’s how I saw it. He already knew what I meant by those codes. We had to work on the codenames because if I called out Substitute in the battle, the Lombre would know that that wasn’t Wyldfyr and would attack Infernape instead of the clone. I was also hoping that the codenames would throw the Lombre off, but as long as the attack worked it would be fine.
    I turned to Scamper who had already formed blue flames in his mouth and prepared to launch it. I could see electrical power forming around his fists. I looked over at Wyldfyr who was preparing for a Flare Burst, his body glowing brighter and brighter. I was hoping that would cause the Bubbles to pop before they reached him. I watched to see how it all played out.
    OOC: Rofl, I imagined the Thunderstrike as looking like a Chidori shot, so I described it as so.
    ~~~~~

    “All right, Scamper, turn that Water Gun attack into mist with Dragon Pulse. Then use Thunderstrike. I know you can do it. You’ve done it before so just concentrate. If you need to get into the water, then that’s fine. Hit it semi hard, but don’t go close to causing it to faint. We don’t want that. Wyldfyr use Double Flare Burst, then Aerial Ace. Use what you crashed into to help you with your attack. You can do this. Like I told Scamper, I don’t want you to hit it too hard. Hard enough to hurt, but not to knock it out," Cameron ordered.

    Scamper took a deep breath, and then blew a billowing stream of blue fire at the incoming Water Gun. I hadn't seen a Dragon Pulse take that form before - usually it was just a mass of purple-ish energy fired at the opponent. Scamper must have undergone some serious training to bring out that form.

    The blue fire clashed with the water, extinguishing it completely, but wearing itself out at the same time. A large ball of fire and steam expanded over the lake. Suddenly, Scamper blasted through the fireball. He was dragging his glowing white right arm along the surface of the lake, and small blue electrical sparks were jumping around. A few even escaped onto the lake surface. As Scamper ran towards the Horsea, I quickly looked over to Wyldfyr.

    Wyldfyr had created a clone by using Substitute, then hidden in the small forest. The clone lit up like a light, blazing with fire and trying to attract the Lombre's attention. But it was nowhere to be seen. Wyldfyr and his clone both looked around for their opponent, but it wasn't there.

    Scamper had made his way to the Horsea, and he started striking incredibly fast, preferring speed to power. The Horsea reeled backwards from the onslaught. After landing about twenty punches, Scamper was suddenly picked up by a large whirlpool. The conical shape raised him high into the air and trapped him there. Scamper snarled and struggled, but he couldn't manage to break free. This was when the Lombre reappeared. It suddenly blurred into sight, moving for the trapped Lucario. Its right hand was glowing right, and it entered the Twister smoothly. It smashed the Lucario with the glowing hand in his midsection. Scamper bent over and started coughing. The Lombre moved cleanly through the Twister and exited out the other side. I looked over to Wyldfyr. He looked somewhat annoyed by the fact that his opponent had ignored him.

    Once again Wyldfyr’s attack’s failed. That Lombre was really annoying me. I either needed to knock it out, or capture it, and it didn’t look like it was anywhere near the capturing level. I had to think of something quick. Making them attack separately wasn’t working, so I had to get them to attack together. At least then they’d have a better chance. First, I had to get Scamper out of the Twister.

    “Scamper, use Metal Burst, but don’t compress the energy, expand it to break yourself out of that Twister and stand next to Wyldfyr. I want you to use Copycat, and do everything he does. Wyldfyr, time for you to use Flame Wheel on the Lombre, Scamper will copy you.” I said, “Time to shine.”

    If Scamper managed to pull this off, his whole body would glow and the burst of energy from his body should free him from the Twister, which would hopefully knock the Horsea back so that it wouldn't get in the way. He would then move towards Wyldfyr who would start using Flame Wheel. Wyldfyr usually started the attack by making the flames on his head grow. Scamper would then use the flames from Wyldfyr to start off his attack. Copycat would allow him to use the move as if he had been using it for a while now. He would also use the fire from Blaze Kick to keep the fire going. Then Wyldfyr would jump into the air and curl up in a ball and begin moving forward towards his target. Scamper would do the exact same thing. Once they began moving, they would form one flame wheel and keep it together, hopefully, hitting the Lombre, and perhaps even the Horsea if it got in the way.

    OOC: Holy Jesus, I haven't updated in a long ass time. Uhh....sorry?

    "Sparks!" I yelled. "Use Spark to get rid of the mist! Then use Crunch to drag the Feebas back up here."

    I watched carefully as Sparks began to glow. I realized that having a Luxray named Sparks use the move Spark was rather complicated. I would've named her Discharge, but....Even I'm not that crazy.

    "Oh dang..." I said in frustration. "Raiguy, don't let it catch you! Run up the tree and jump off!"

    Raiguy made a maddash for the nearest tree, running up it, and jumping off a branch while upside-down just as the Icy Wind was travelling under him. He landed on the ground flawlessly.

    "Yeah Raiguy, just let it follow you a little more...Now! Jump over Whiscash with all that speed!"

    Raiguy launched himself off the ground, soaring through the air. "Rai-CHU!!" it grunted as landed in the water on the other side, pulling itself up out of the lake and onto the shore. If the mist was enfused with some sort of heat-seaking power, it had no doubt chosen another target. Raiguy snickered at Whiscash, then hid behind a rock in the mouth of the cave from earlier.

    OOC: It's cool, wasn't gunna bump you for another few days cos I've had stuff going on.

    ~~~~~
    Cameron had decided to move on, because it looked like this battle was going to take a while. That was fair enough. I sent Dual on with him - despite all my joking with him, I trusted Dual to do the job well. He knew all the rules and regulations just like me.
    "Sparks, use Spark to get rid of the Mist! Then use Crunch to drag the Feebas back up here," Alaska yelled.
    Sparks started glowing yellow, and she lunged forward into the mist. The yellow light started expanding, but unfortunately it wasn't as effective at dispelling the mist as Alaska had hoped. Sparks hunted around for the Feebas, but she couldn't find it. After half a minute of searching, she began to retreat. That was when the Feebas hit her with another Flail attack. This one was stronger - Sparks was actually knocked back onto her rump by it. The Feebas then used Sparks' weight to kick itself into the river, where it began swimming in provocative circles. Sparks started growling low in her throat - she didn't like being made to look like a fool by a lowly fish.
    OOC: Sorry if it seems like I'm being a bit hard on you, it's just that I keep getting cool ideas for things the Wilds could do xD
    ~~~~~

    “Scamper, use Metal Burst, but don’t compress the energy, expand it to break yourself out of that Twister and stand next to Wyldfyr. I want you to use Copycat, and do everything he does. Wyldfyr, time for you to use Flame Wheel on the Lombre, Scamper will copy you. Time to shine," Cameron called out calmly.

    Scamper put his paws close together and hunched over them. A small sphere made up of gray whirling strings started growing between his paws, and it grew bigger as he took damage from the Twister. Suddenly, he threw his arms and head away, and the gray sphere expanded, surrounding him completely. He used the countering force of the Metal Burst to escape from the Twister and land on the river bank. When he did so, Wyldfyr was ready and waiting for him. They glanced at each other and nodded.

    Meanwhile, Lombre had walked up out of the river and was making a funny face at its opponents. This further enraged Wyldfyr and Scamper. Wyldfyr began running towards Lombre, and when he had built up a sufficient speed he began somersaulting. Little flares ignited all around him, and fire swirled around, covering him completely, turning him into a wheel of fire. Then Scamper jumped high over the wheel, and fires burst into existence around him as well. Scamper dived straight into the Flame Wheel and it immediately doubled in size. The painful pyrokinetic pinwheel bore down on Lombre, carving a deep smoking groove in the ground.

    Strangely, the Lombre didn't look worried. In fact, it grinned. Just before the Flame Wheel made contact, the Lombre threw down its left fist into the ground a big white wall of energy flashed into existence in front of him. The Flame Wheel smashed into the wall, but failed to pierce it. both Wyldfyr and Scamper were thrown into the air. The Horsea the swum up, and using its incredible aim, shot a thin jet of water at Wyldfyr. Just like the Horsea had planned, the Water Gun hit Wyldfyr in one of his weak spots - under his armpit. Both Scamper and Wyldfyr hit the ground just as the Horsea crooned delight and the Lombre started chuckling.

    Truly, they were a formidable pair.

    "Oh dang..." Daniel muttered under his breath. "Raiguy, don't let it catch you! Run up the tree and jump off, just let it follow you a little more, then jump over Whiscash with all that speed!" He called out to his partner.

    Raiguy ran up a tree, moving quickly to stay out of the Icy Wind's way. He backflipped off the tree, and the Icy Wind glided into the tree. The blue glow wrapped around the tree-trunk, and icicles formed in a ring around it. Raiguy continued moving - he hit then ground then launched himself again, this time travelling over the Whiscash towards the river. But the Whiscash was ready. It used it powerful tail to knock a clod of dirt towards Raiguy. The clod smacked into Raiguy, knocking him backwards towards the trees. The dirt also clung to him, slowing down his ability to move somewhat.

    I hissed in sympathy. Since Mud Shot was a Ground type attack, Raiguyy would have taken some serious damage. Daniel had to start battling very carefully, especially considering Raiguy's amazing Speed had just been partially negated.

    OOC: Right now I wish I had a gun... or some of Alaska's Dynamite.

    IC: I was growing tired of this game they were playing. I needed something that would surely hit the Lombre, so far, nothing at all was working, no matter how well my Pokemon played it. Perhaps I was coming at it all wrong. Maybe it wasn't them that were failing, but me. I just had to concentrate harder to turn this battle around. So far, Lombre showed me how cunning it was. How well it could preform in double battles. It is good, but we are better, and I was going to show it.

    I looked back to the Infernape clone and thought of another idea. I motioned for him to get into position.

    "Scamper, use Screech, Wyldfyr use Flare Burst. Then, Wyldfyr, you use Aerial Ace on Lombre and switch with yourself to Slack Off. Scamper, you use Force Palm on the Horsea." I called out. That should blind and deafen them for a short period of time, at least long enough for this to play out.

    What I wanted to happen was that Wyldfyr would blind them with his Flare Burst move and Scamper would lower their defenses with Screech, which I hoped would take away their hearing for a moment. While they were blinded, Wyldfyr would attack the Lombre with Aerial Ace and tag the substitute and switch out with it, allowing him to slack off and regain health. I was hoping the Lombre would finally rage and attack the clone head on, then Wyldfyr could attack it again when the time came. Scamper was just attacking the Horsea to distract it from messing with Wyldfyr as he did the switch. I was hoping that the Force Palm would paralyze the Horsea, but I just wanted the move to hit, or the Horsea to be distracted from Wyldfyr.

    This Lombre caught me off guard. Never in my trip in the National Park had I had this problem with any Pokemon. I just had to pay more attention. If I had from the beginning, I wouldn't be where I was now. I had confidence in them, we are going to do better this time around.

    "Scamper, use Screech, Wyldfyr use Flare Burst. Then, Wyldfyr, you use Aerial Ace on Lombre and switch your Substitute with yourself to Slack Off. Scamper, you use Force Palm on the Horsea," Cameron yelled. He didn't seem to happy with the way this battle was going, and I didn't blame him. This was perhaps the most staunch defenders I'd seen in the Park yet.

    Wyldfyr and Scamper both got to their feet, and stood next to each other, albeit ten metres apart. Suddenly, Wyldfyr threw his arms up in the air and a large bright fireball bloomed around him. I had to squeeze my left eye shut - luckily, my lensed right eye was protected. The visor automatically cut out the glare so I could keep an eye on what was going on. As soon as Wyldfyr has started using Flare Blitz, Scamper started shrieking really loudly, being careful not to look at his battle partner.

    The Horsea and Lombre had done a great job of defending against direct attacks. But they were suddenly at a loss, trying to protect themselves from the attacks on their senses. The Horsea swam underwater, which helped a bit, but all the Lombre could do was cover his ears with his hands and smack his head into the ground.

    At the exact same time, both Infernape's blinding fireball attack and Scamper's screech ended. Scamper ran towards the lake where he had last seen the Horsea, and Infernape burst out of the fireball heading for the still incapacitated Lombre. As he did so, his right fist began glowing blue. The Lombre, realizing the attack had finished, looked up. He was too late to dodge. Infernape punched him viciously with the glowing blue fist, and then pushed off of the Lombre, backflipping through the air. As he was doing so, he breathed a cloak of fire around him. When the fire-covered Infernape hit the ground the fire died out. Wyldfyr had disappeared and somehow replaced himself with the Substitute he had created earlier. The Subtitute sat on the ground, slumped over and unmoving.

    Meanwhile, Scamper had reached the edge of the lake, but the Horsea was nowhere to be seen. Scamper was intelligent, though, and he knew that the longer he stood still the more chance there was of him being attacked. So instead of going for a point-blank Force Palm attack, he fired the attack long-range-style into the river. A conical green energy blast shot out of his paw, and he began backflipping away from the river. The green blast literally carved the water away, and it clipped the hiding Horsea, sending it spinning to the surface.

    The Horsea, injured though it was, called a worried query to the Lombre. The Lombre hooted a tired response and got to his feet. The Horsea shrieked, and a huge amount of the river suddenly levitated up into the air. With another shriek, the flying water bubble started moving swiftly through the air to the unmoving Infernape Substitute. As that happened, the Lombre started running after Scamper, and it pointed its right hand at the retreating Lucario. It steadied its right arm with its left hand and launched five glowing white spheres at Scamper, who had finished backflipping and was awaiting orders from Cameron.

    OOC: Genderless please. Both Female I guess /; I'm around 16k right? The capturing point?

    IC: My plan had worked, which didn't surprise me. It hadn't been going so well earlier because I wasn't focused enough. I knew that if I could get one more attack in that I could capture them, if anything, at least the Horsea. With Wyldfyr hidden, the Lombre was now focused on Scamper, which is what I wanted. The Lombre had launched five white orbs towards Scampers. If I was not mistaken, it was Leech Seed. If the move hit Scamper, that would surely prove to be a big problem. I didn't want the Lombre to gain any health, I wanted him to lose it. Not only would he gain health, Scamper would be losing health.

    "Scamper, use Dark Pulse." I called out. "Knock those orbs away from you. Right after you send out Dark Pulse, dive under water. Use Foresight to find the Horsea if it follows you under water, hit it with a reduced powered Thunder Punch, try to knock it into the air. I'll take care of it from there. Wyldfyr, hits Lombre with Aerial Ace. Don't hit him too hard, but don't go easy on it either. Don't let your guard down, it probably still has some tricks left."

    I reached into my pocket and pulled out a Calming Fragrance that I had brought with me. I opened it and watched the fragrance drift towards the Horsea and Lombre. Then I pulled out two Superballs and held them tight, ready to throw them when the moment was right. What I was hoping would happen was that Scamper would get enough dark energy to knock away the orbs. He would then immediatly dive underwater, not checking to see if the attack knocked away Lombre's attack or not. He would then locate the Horsea and Thunder Punch it with reduced power out of the water, that's when I would throw the Pokeball at the Horsea. Wyldfyr would then emerge, unexpectedly, and hit the Lombre with Aerial Ace. That would hopefully knock the Lombre down, giving me enough time to capture it as well. I was hoping that the fragrence would calm them down enough for me to capture them. I watched and waited for Scamper and Wyldfyr to begin their assult. I was waiting for the moment to throw my Superballs, I didn't want to miss the chance.

    OOC: Well, using a Super Ball, your catch rates as of right now are: Lombre - 187%; Horsea - 168%, so yeah, capture is a slight possibility as of now xD

Wyldfyr, hits Lombre with Aerial Ace. Don't hit him too hard, but don't go easy on it either. Don't let your guard down, it probably still has some tricks left," Cameron called out.

    Scamper punched his two paws together, and a wave of darkness blasted out from between them, knocking the glowing orbs away. They fell onto the ground and fizzled away into nothingness. The second the Leech Seed attack had been deflected, Scamper was off, rcing towards the water. He passed underneath the Horsea's Brine attack, which was still heading for the Infernape Substitute. Scamper dived into the water just as the Brine bubble burst open over the unmoving doll. A good gallon of water surged over the doll, which promptly disappeared in a puff of white smoke. The real Infernape suddenly reappeared, bursting out of the white smoke and running towards the Lombre, its fist glowing blue like before.

    Scamper was underwater, using its mental capacities and grasp of Aura to try and locate the Horsea. He suddenly felt the Horsea's presence behind him, so he lashed out behind him with a fist covered in electric darts. The Horsea was able to avoid the direct attack, but the sparks were traveling through the water as well as moving around Scamper's fist so it still took damage. Despite this, it moved swiftly around the Lucario in circles, and it rammed hard into the back of the Lucario's right knee. Scamper gritted his teeth in pain and realized that his speed would be cut by such a precise attack. He hoped his Trainer would also know this.

    Infernape punched the Lombre again, this time sending it spinning into the river. But before it hit the water, it sent a blast of water towards Wyldfyr in return, which smacked into the fire monkey knocking it back as well. But the Hydro Pump had done less damage than usual - the Lombre was getting very tired.

    Now, both Pokemon were in the water. Aiming my Superballs was going to be a bit tricky because of that. "Alright, let's finish this." I called out. "Scamper, use Psychic, get the Horsea out of the water." I was hoping it would push the Horsea out of the water with his Psychic powers, letting me throw the Superball with more percision. I tossed a Superball over to Wyldfyr.

    "Use that on the Lombre." I called out as I waited for any sign of the Horsea that would allow me to throw the ball. The Lombre would be easier to catch since it could still be seen in the water, that's why I gave the ball to Wyldfyr, perhaps he could finally seal the deal.

    OOC: To any lurkers, the capture chances was over 100%, so I didn't do them. Sue me.

    ~~~~~
    "Alright, let's finish this. Scamper, use Psychic, get the Horsea out of the water," Cameron ordered. I could tell he was tired of this battle, and wanted to get it over with. He then tossed a Super Ball to Wyldfyr and told him to use it on the Lombre.
    Wyldfyr shot off towards the Lombre, running fast considering he was weakened by the Lombre's Hydro Pump. The Lombre saw him coming and tried to move, but it tripped over its' own feet and couldn't get away. It spat a small jet of water at the incoming Infernape which hit the fire monkey square in the face. Despite this, Wyldfyr kept on coming. He'd taken enough crap from this annoying Pokemon, and nothing was going to stop him from capturing it. When he was within bowling distance of the Lombre, he threw the Super Ball base-ball style at the unmoving Pokemon. The sphere smacked into the Lombre's shoulder and absorbed it in a flash of white light. Without even shaking at all, the Super Ball's capture mechanism clicked.
    At the same time as Wyldfyr had thrown the Super Ball, Scamper had been hunting psychically for the Horsea. He finally found the little aquatic Pokemon, and he telekinetically lifted it into the air and onto the riverside. Cameron gently threw a second Super Ball underarm at the weakly flopping Pokemon. This ball did shake a little bit as the Horsea tried to escape, but in the end, it too succumbed to the capture.
    "Congratulations," I called over to Cameron as I walked over and picked both balls up. "That was a harrowing battle, wasn't it?"
    OOC: Go away lurkers :p jk ;)
    "Congratulations," Chainy called over to me as he picked both balls up. "That was a harrowing battle, wasn't it?" I just nodded, I was pretty disappointed at the way this battle went. It wasn't my Pokemon's fault, it was mine. I would make sure I'd pay attention if any other Pokemon I wanted came by.
    "Great job guys," I said smiling, motioning for them to come over. "You guys did awesome. Wyldfyr, you should use Slack Off to help you regain any lost energy." I then turned to Chainy.
    "Alright, I'm ready to move on." I said to him, hoping we didn't run into much trouble.
    Cameron nodded in reply to my question, but he didn't seem happy about it. As he turned to his Pokemon to praise them, I didn't pressure him about it - maybe his combos had come off wrong or something. Ah well, life was one big learning experience.
    When Cameron was done complimenting him Pokemon, he turned to me and told me he was ready to move on. I nodded, and we continued along the river, heading to the freshwater later. As we did so, I absent-mindedly scratched at some of the mudspots that were on my skin, reminders of the battle with Alaska an hour or so ago. In fact, I was so out of it in general that Dual had to nudge me with his elbow when I missed something I should have been paying attention to. A Goldeen was swimming sedately up the river alongside us. Cameron had probably seen it already but not said anything.
    "Do you want to try and catch it?" I asked him sheepishly.
    "Do you want to try and catch it?" Chain asked me.
    "No, I'll pass." I said, not even looking at the Goldeen, I just placed a doll down. I was still thinking about that battle and what I could've done to have made it better. I knew I shouldn't let it get to me, but I just couldn't help it. Part of me wanted to leave, the other part was telling me to stay and finish the journey. I had a feeling that if I left, I would miss out on something. Perhaps it was just the collectors side of me. I just shrugged it off and kept walking.
