Eric seemed more than ready to help Ashley out. He summone his Togekiss. The Togekiss gave him a perplexed look as Eric told him to fight the Tentacool. "You see that Tentacool over there? Well I need you to use Thunderwave on it," Eric asked his Togekiss. Togekiss flew forwards as a ball of cackling blue electricity formed in its mouth. She opened her mouth wide and fired th ball of electricity at the Tentacool amd Gardevoir.

"Teleport!" Ashe commanded in the nick of time.

Gardevoir's coloir changed from green to a multitude of colours before settling on blue once more. She disappeared in a flash of light. Tentacool leapt back in shock, but he leapt back into Togekiss' range. The Thunder Wave hit him head on.

In the meantime Gardevoir reappearee behind Tentacool and began to use Double Team. In the blink of an eye three identical Gardevoir stood behind Tentacool. However, the Squirtle had enough time to fire a powerful torrent of water that coursed through the three Gardevoir. Two of them faded out of existence and the third fell back as the powerful water jet hit her. Tentacool tried to attack Gardevoir but he was struck by the water attack and stumbled backwards.

I watched as the Thunder Wave hit Tentacool head on slowing it down and making it much more vulnerable

"Alright Togekiss that was a wonderful start, now I need you to do one more thing for me before I call you back. Togekiss use Yawn on Tentacool, if it's asleep and par it will basically be useless."

Togekiss opened its mouth wide and let out a giant yawn towards Tentacool. I knew this attack would catch Tentacool off-guard since it wasn't a visible attack.

"Hey Ashley you take care of Squirtle right now and the second after Togekiss uses Yawn on Tentacool we can switch targets alright?"

I trusted that Ashley would know that my advice was correct in this case, if we double teamed Tentacool than Squirtle would come up and take some unseen attacks from behind on Gardevoir again or Togekiss

 

I was really happy when Eric decided to help me.
"Thanks, Eric." I said, playing attention to the Pokemon that he sent only partly since the battle that was going on was more important. I turned back in time to see that the decoy I planned to use on Squirtle didn't work out well because it was faster than Gardevoir with its move. My psychic Pokemon got hit by the water attack Squirtle used and nearly fell on the ground. She spread her arms and tried to balance herself so it was obvious that she felt a little dizzy.

"Are you alright, Gardevoir?" My Pokemon nodded even though it still looked to be somewhere else with her mind.
"Don't worry, you can do it!" I called to her and she smiled back to me. I hoped it made her feel a bit better becasue I knew that she likes it a lot when I cheer on her.

I knew that any move that would require perfect accuracy would be pointless to use in her condition. Instead, I decided to get rid of the Squirtle and help Gardevoir to feel a little bit better.

"Hey Ashley you take care of Squirtle right now and the second after Togekiss uses Yawn on Tentacool we can switch targets alright?" Ebail asked and I was really happy that he was willing to help me.

"Yeah, sure, thank you for your help. We'll try to make sure that Squirtle won't be causing trouble to you," I turned my head back to my Pokemon and continued "Ok, Gardevoir, let's do our best! Show Squirtle how dangerous Hypnosis can be!" I shouted to my friend and it didn't take long for her to turn around and do what I asked her to. Her eyes started glowing red and she stretched her arms in front of her. The redder her eyes were the more energy was getting stored in them and in the result, her hair started moving wildly like in wind. Soon, when she was done preparing for the move, she made a gentle and piercing sound that sounded like an echo. It felt as if it was coming out of everywhere but her. Then, strange energy waves started coming from her arms towards Squirtle that looked rings of heat. They were getting bigger when they were farther from Gardevoir so I hoped it would hit the water type.

"Hey, Ashley, you take care of Squirtle now and the second Togekiss yans we can switch targets," Eric yelled as his Togekiss opened its mouth, stiffled a yawn, and dropped to the grads, feigning sleep. Unfortunately for Togekiss, Tentacool was not buying it and while Togekiss was pretending to sleep he propped himself up onto his tentacles and sprang forward, poisonous tendril at the ready. He landed on Togekiss' right wing and stabbed at it with the sharp tendril. Togekiss leapt backwards before fluttering back to Eric.

"Use Hypnosis on Squirtle," Ashley commanded her Gardevoir. She began to sing and invisible ound waves reached the Squirtle. "Squirt, squirt," he piped up as he was lulled to sleep. He began snoring lightly as he dozed, but the snoring grew louder and soon loud snoring sounds pierced the Gardevoir's sensitive ears causing her to raise her hands in protection of them.

"Alright Ashley I know you want Tentacool so you take over the battle with it and I'll handle Squirtle."

I walked over to Togekiss to make sure it wasn't hurt too bad "Hey Togekiss are you doing alright? You did a great job you've earned yourself a rest for now" Togekiss returned into its Pokeball and I decided to switch in something else to handle Squirtle

"Alright you're up Heracross" "Hera Hera!" My Heacross said looking ready to fight the sleeping Squirtle

"You don't need to overdo things here Heracross since it's sleeping, just make sure you knock it out." I hoped me and Heracross had an understanding

"Aright now Heracross charge at it and use Brick Break to start!" Heracross began to race over to Squirtle and the closer it got, the higher it threw its hand in the air in a chop like position ready to strike Squirtle the second it got over to it

 

"Alright Ashley I know you want Tentacool so you take over the battle with it and I'll handle Squirtle." Eric said as he rushed over to Togekiss to make sure it wasn't hurt too much. I couldn't agree more as the part poison type caught by interest even more. But before we could continue, I ran to my Pokemon too because the way things looked, Gardevoir wasn't in the best condition for a fight.

"Hey, Gardevoir, are you okay?" It seemed like the sound was still resonating in her ears because she didn't reply and just stared at the Squirtle. I hugged her and wanted to return her to her Pokeball but when she saw what I wanted to do she looked at me as if I betrayed her.

"Okay, I take it you don't want to go back so soon. But you can't battle like this either. How about we abused Squirtles condition a bit?" gardevoir knew what was coming and so she nodded happily. She was glad I changed my mind.

"Just focus and you'll be able to do it even though you don't feel well. You can do it, Gardevoir, I trust you. Use Dream Eater on Squirtle!" I shouted even though calling the move was unnecessary because gardevoir knew what I was about to do. She was my starter, after all, so we knew a lot about each other. I believed in her but I was worried that her condition will take its price.

She closed her eyes and started glowing light violet. The glow outlined her body and grew violet flames that were moving slowly along my starter's body. Slowly, one of the flames shaped into a hand that grew big enough to touch the Squirtle. I knew what was abotu to happen. The hand would touch its head and it would go into it. Then it would come out holding something glowing light blue and words would come out of it towards Gardevoir who would open her mouth in the meanwhile and eat them. It should work that way if everything went right.

 

BP:

Eric recalled his Togekiss after giving him some praise. It was Heracross' turn to battle and a dark blue beetle with translucent wings materialised before him. "You don't need to overdo things here, Heracross, since its sleeping. Just knock it out!" Ebail commanded. Heracross ran forward, arm outstretched in a chopping motion, heading straight for the snoozing Squirtle.

"Use Dream Eater on Squirtle," Ashley told her Gardevoir. She started to ow a dark purple colour just after her eyes closed. A violet hand materialised in front of her and grabbed at the Squirtle. It pulled some whisper white gas from the Squirtle. The hand retreated back to Gardevoir, and she lapped the gas up greedily.

I glanced at the ignored Tentacool to see him attempting a combo I had only ever seen once before. His body began to spin, round and round in circles like a spinning top. I froze as I realised what was next.

"Skarmory, shield, now!" I shouted.

Tentacool started shooting out little poisonous barbs as he spun. Skarmory swooped down as I grabbed Eric and Ashley. Skarmory's sturdy body shielded us from the shooting poison darts. Gardevoir, Heracross and Squirtle were too late too be saved from the onslaught

"Oh great Tentacool poisoned Heracross and Gardevoir, tsk this is why I didn't want us to double team a Pokemon because I knew that by leaving one Pokemon alone it would do something crafty like this." I said with an angry look

"Are you okay Heracross? That Tentacool sure is a tricky one isn't it?" "Ashley go continue to battle with that thing like I told you, I can handle Squirtle, but you need to take care of Tentacool before it makes things worse."

After thinking about it for a minute or so I realized that Heracross being poisoned could actually turn out to be a good thing during this battle because I remembered its ability, Guts.

"Heracross focus on Squirtle before it wakes up. Alright now start off with a Swords Dance, and then once you're done powering up charge over there and ram it with a Megahorn attack" I knew that Heracross didn't exactly need to use Swords Dance since its ability was already going to increase its attack power, but I didn't want to risk anything and wanted to do whatever I could to end this battle fast

Heracross began to focus and gather its strength for a moment or so, if you looked close enough you could see its muscles begin to increase in size slightly. Once Heracross was done collecting its strength it began to charge over to Squirtle and the horn on its head began to harden over. I knew Heracross was going to show Squirtle no mercy and attack as hard as it could with its horn

 

I heard James yelling something then I noticed that something shielded us and I saw rain of poisonous thorns flying all around us hitting everything it could. The next thing I saw was Gardevoir falling down from the hits trembling all over her body. Immediatelly after it stopped I quickly ran to my Pokemon and hugged her. However, to my surprise she got angry for distrubing the battle. Surely, those hits looked painful but she wasn't hurt too much. The only problem was the fact that it made her poisoned and it was slowly taking her health away.

Gardevoir pushed me away worrying I would try to make her return to her Pokeball again. I just nodded worrying about her.

"I promise I'll do something about it after this battle is over." She nodded and looked towards Tentacool. She came closer to it when she got hurt by the poison grabbed her chest for a second but then continued.

"You can do it, Gardevoir! Let's hurry up and make sure this will be over fast! Psychic!" Gardevoir closed her eyes and crossed her arms on her chest. Then she opened them and revealed a light blue glow that covered them completely. Then the same glow appeared around her arms, only outlining them at first but compeltely covering them after a while. She stretched her arms and two light blue blades of energy shot at Tentacool. Then flew at such a high speed that they cut through air and I felt the wind they created.

 

BP

"Use your Swords Dance to power up and then we you're done charging ram it with a Megahorn!" Ebail shouted at his Heracross. Heracross closed his eyes in concentration and began focusing on momentarily enhancing his muscles by contracting them. When he was done he tilted his head downwarda and charged at the stirring Squirtle. He shot along the sand until he reached the Squirtle, scooped it up with the powerful horn and launched the Water type. Squirtle was knocked out on impact so I sent Skarmory forth to catch him and place him carefully on the ground. There was no point doing unnecessary harm, I thought.

"Lets's hurry up up amd make this overfast, Gardevoir. Psychic!" Ashley yelled.

Gardevoir created two blue spheres of energy in a flash. They whizzed towards the Tentacool, who was too drained to move. The attack connected and Tentacool fell over, fainted. But, it managed to stagger uPright, to my disbelief.

"Cool..." he muttered.

"Now is the perfect time for capture," I told Ashley.

Psychic hit Tentacool because it was unable to move. It's last attack seemed to do more damage to him than our Pokemon. Now, it looked really weak and I was sure that even the weakest ball would catch it. But to my surprise it still managed to stand even if it needed to use all of its remaining power to do so. I had to admit it was really stubborn and strong-minded so it was no wonder I was looking forward to using it in battles.

I took out my Parkball, since I figured it would be enough to catch it and threw it at the Pokemon watching it getting sucked in and hoping it would stay there.

Ashley pulled a Park Ball out of her pocket and hurled it. The jellyfish was sucked inside for a few seconds as the Parkball wobbled. Once, twice, it binged, signalling capture.

"Congrats," I said, pocketing the ball. "I have to hang onto this until the run is over though. Shall we continue into the cave?" I asked, pointing at the partially hidden emtrance.

We walked through the rocky tunnel, heading for the other side. We were travelling for a few seconds until I head an odd repitive dumb-founded voice drown.

"Doof, doof, doof," a furry beaver chanted as it rocked backwards and forwards. I was wondering what the hell the Bidoof was doing until I saw a Seel lying nearby, clapping and laughing.

"Looks like this Seel is a trickster. He seems to have Encored the Bidoof," I laughed. "Interested in either of them?"

James picked up the ball when it stopped wiggling and put it to his pocket. "I have to hang onto this until the run is over though. Shall we continue into the cave?" James asked and I nodded. There weren't many places we could go to, anyway. We didn't go through the rocky tunnel for a long time when we heard a strange repeating noise. James noticed it too because he got alerted. When we came to the place where the sound came from I was honestly surprised by what we saw. There was a Bidoof that was repeating the same moves and a Seel clapping and laughing. It was a rather funny scene but I was certain that the Bidoof won't be too happy once Seel stops doing that.

"Looks like this Seel is a trickster. He seems to have Encored the Bidoof," He chuckled when he said it but I couldn't help but pitty the Bidoof.
"Interested in either of them?" James continued and looked at us, still smiling. I looked at Eric.
"I'm not. What about you, Eric?" Then I remembered that out of all of the exitement I forgot something and turned back to James. "By the way, James, could I buy a Status Potion from you? My Gardevoir needs it," I asked and started taking out my money. "It's $700, right?" I gave him the money and waited for his reply.

"Interested in either of them?" "I'm not. What about you, Eric?" Ashley said looking at me

"No thanks, neither of these Pokemon really catch my interest."

"Hey Heracross how are you doing? I'd rather not heal you yet due to your ability making you stronger, but its better to not let you suffer so I'll use one of my Full Heals on you and you should be good as new."

"So then James once you give Ashley the potion for her Gardevoir should we try to continue on?"

"Sure," I said, handing Ashley the Full Heal. She poured some into her Gardevoir's mouth, who began to look her usual healthy self in no time.

We walked past the two playing Pokemon who continued to ignore us, with ease. As we reached the cave exit I heard a familiar cry.

"Doof, doof!" A different Bidoof squeeled as he tossed around in the mud. A blue Shellos jumped ontop of him, tickling the muddy Bidoof.

"How cute. Interested in either?"

"Shellos certainly is an interesting Pokemon, and I've never come across a blue one before even though I've heard of them, I'd be more than happy to battle it and attempt to catch it."

"Come back out Togekiss" I said grabbing Togekiss' Pokeball from my belt "Hey Togekiss check out the cute little Shellos over there, wouldn't you like to help make it apart of our team?" Togekiss turned to me and let out a smile "Great that's the spirit Togekiss. Alright now Togekiss if you can do it I want you to pull off a combo for me, I'm sure you can do it." Togekiss turned to me ready to hear my command

"Alright start with an Extremespeed, but right after you make contact with Shellos I want you to hit it with a Thunder Wave"

Togekiss flew head on towards Shellos at a speed that was hard to keep up with, even though battling wasn't Togekiss' favorite thing to do I could tell it was listening to what I told it to do, as I saw it charge up a ball of energy from its mouth when it made contact with Shellos.

The second after the Extremespeed Togekiss was finishing to power up its Thunder Wave then it turned its body around as fast as it could and blasted out the waves of electricity from its mouth while Shellos was still recovering from the Extremespeed

"Shellos certainly is an interesting Pokemon, and I've never come across a blue one before even though I've heard of them, I'd be more than happy to battle it and attempt to catch it." Eric said as he was looking for his Pokeball. Then, in a flash of bright light, he let out his Togekiss.

"I'm not really into normal types but I'll help you battle them." I said and Gardevoir came forward with a nod.
"Are you sure you want to battle? I could always send Torterra out." I asked my Pokemon friend because she got really hurt in the last battle but she seemed not to mind it. Besides, she always enjoyed battling in a team so she was glad she could help Eric and Togekiss catch that Pokemon.

"Make sure that Bidoof won't interrupt their battle! Use Confusion!" I told my Pokemon and she was immediately ready to do what I asked. Her eyes started glowing light violet and they slowly started disappearing in the glow. Gardevoir was looking directly at the Bidoof as if she was trying to hypnotise it. Then, 2 beams of violet light shot towards the Pokemon that looked like two waterguns of energy because it was possible to see the flow of energy in them. They created wind, which sent dust that was around Gardevoir to the air and gave everything around her bright violet colour.

Eric seemed rather interested in the Shellos, which was great. I loved when trainers chose less used Pokemon to battle and attempt to catch. These Pokemon can prove to be better than most people expect at first. There was a flash of white light and his Togekiss appeared once more

"Kiss kiss," he chimed, seeing the opponents. Basics shouldn't be too hard to handle, according to the Togekiss. "Alright, start off with an Extreme Speed but right after you make contact with it, I want you to Thunder Wave it!" Ebail commanded the Togekiss.

Togekiss made a beeline straight for Shellos, flying at a ridiculous speed, and creating a sphere of blue electricity at the same time. Togekiss crashed into Shellos, but Shellos managed to spray some muck over himself to hide, but also grant him an immunity to the Electric attack. Togekiss fires the Thunder Wave at the mud but it made no impact.

Ashley, on the other hand, didn't seem to keen on this Bidoof so she decided not to capture it. Although, she wanted to help Eric so she would distract the Bidoof while Eric battled Shellos. "Confusion!" Ashley shoutedb

Gardevoir's eyes turned a harsh violet colour once more as she locked eyes with Biddof. Two similar-colour psybeams shot forward and hit the furry Bidoof, knocking him aside and startling him. Bidoof was soon back in his stride and charged forward, head lowered, ramming into the Emotion Pokemon.

I watched as the Shellos covered itself in some mud and I couldn't help but think that this must be one smart Pokemon

"Heh it's not even a Gastrodon yet and it figured out a way to make it so Electric moves fail vs it, that's one smart Shellos"

"Togekiss do you want to keep battling that thing or do you want to switch back for something else?" Togekiss turned to me and nodded letting me know that it wished to keep battling this Shellos

"You look like you are having a good time here so I'll let you keep battling like you want Togekiss" I could tell in Togekiss' eyes that it was happy that it could keep battling this Shellos

"This Shellos was crafty and probably had another trick or two up its sleeve that neither me nor Togekiss would see coming. I need to make sure that Togekiss doesn't put out too much power or else it could easily knockout Shellos and that won't be any good."

I thought for a minute and realized I had no idea about what moves Shellos could do and I figured it would be better to play this battle smart and safe, rather than sorry

"Togekiss use Safeguard before doing anything else!" Togekiss backed up a little and a few blue rings started to surround from its bottom to its head

"Okay now that you're protected Togekiss hit Shellos with a Magical Leaf!" Togekiss took a deep breath and made glowing leafs appear out of nowhere it seemed and in an instant shot them all at Shellos

 

Confusion hit Bidoof but it didn't confuse it like I hoped it would. Instead, it hit Gardevoir with its head making her fall backwards. She quickly stood up but looked hurt by that move. However, she didn't give aup and wanted to continue. I couldn't do much to help her but decided to at least support her with cheering.

"Come on, Gardevoir, I'm sure you can make it!" But I knew it wasn't enough. I had to make up a strategy that would help us with this battle. I wasn't interested in Bidoof at all. It was a nice Pokemon but I didn't need it in my team. I decided that I should try to get rid of it for a while and make Gardevoir heal a little. This strategy was risky but it was the best thing I could do at that time.

"To make us feel safer, try using Hypnosis!" I ordered my Pokemon and she happily agreed. After all, she needed some rest from this battle. Gardevoir stretched her arms in front of her and just as she did that, her eyes started shinning red. At first, she was just storing energy needed for using the move, what showed by her eyes getting moe and more covered by the glow. When she was done, she cried with a gentle voice that sounded like an echo from another world. It was really interesting to watch. Soon afterwards, energy waves came from her arms flew towards the normal Pokemon.
