Main RP: Outer Heaven

Both Pokemon slumped on the floor as the flash flooded the chamber, their eyes temporarily malfunctioning. Having lived in the dim lighting of the building the majority of their lives, the flash was simply unbearable. And I thought I was photosensitive. But anyway, this was the best chance to get the hell out of here, and I intended to.

"I guess we should get out of these two Pokemon's range now. Should we go deeper into the building or just bolt out of this joint?" I asked my trainers. They wint take too long to decide. Or I hoped they wouldn't.

"Let's go deeper." I said, feeling as if she had lied to us. She said the building would have more friendly Pokemon. So I wondered, if this was friendly, what where the Pokemon on the jungle path like? I didn't want to find out. I was starting to get the feeling we were going to come up against something big though, wasn't sure what.

"Do you know any place where Farfetch'd like to hang out?" I asked the ranger, letting my Swablu Voice Disk continue to play.

 

I wanted to get out of reach of the two Dragon-types; Salamence seemed hostile, and even if Altaria seemed nicer it probably wouldn't appreciate being dazed like that... I agreed with going wherever Cameron wanted to, wanting to get out of the immediate area.

Cameron said something about wanting to find a Farfetch'd. I didn't think there would be one nearby (they usually nest in water, at least in Johto) but after meeting the Dragons I wouldn't be too surprised to see.. anything else in this area, really.

 

"Er... Farfetch'd? I haven't seen one in ages, though my friend has. They nest somewhere close to the forest, but then their always avoiding you when your looking for them, and coming out when your not. I guess it's some sort of reverse psychology that their minds work in. Either that or our trainers are just unlucky." I said. The disk played to no avail. The Salamence was rising its head. I got the message and pulled Cameron and Siless into a hole in the wall. The hole sealed up upon our entering.

"Secret emergency hiding place. The Salamence can't even smell us here." I said. I heard the Salamence grumble before the footsteps were heard, growing fainter. Now I left to Cameron what he wanted to do. I looked to my left- a secret way out of the building was located if you turn right at the last moment and walked through the wall, which was actually strings of rice. But in the dim lighting, it was impossible to distinguish.

Our Ranger took us to some hiding place where we waited until the Salamence went away. Then she looked to the left towards some pathway that I assumed led out of the building. I really didn't want to leave the building, but ni felt our Ranger forcing us out so I just went with it. "Okay, let's go, I just want to find something interesting." I said, going through the path. I was going to wait until we got outside to play my Swablu disk again. I hoped that I would find a Farfetch'd before though.

 

I was thankful to get out of reach of the Salamence; wild Dragon-types typically don't get enough strength to reach their final evolution stages unless they're actively hunting, and... I really didn't want to deal with a powerful Pokémon that's possibly the most aggressive Pokémon I've seen...

Cameron seemed ready to slip out of the building after some hesitation. I figured he'd have a better chance of finding something he'd like outside, especially with the Salamence patrolling the building...

 

Truth to be told, I was afraid. One fact bothered me: Salamence do not live in the building. It was reputed to have serene, easygoing Pokemon. Something was wrong here, and I don't want to risk my trainers getting eaten. I was silent as we got out of the building and headed towards the pond I knew. It wasn't too far, though it was an awkward journey. The Pokemon seemed far more careless in revealing themselves, but scurried away at the last moment.

We reached the marshy pond. I headed up the bridge on it and looked around. Is that a Flygon? Why, yes, it is. And a Pidgey, too- Pidgey don't leave their nests till Pidgeot stage. A desert Pokemon and a runaway baby bird? NOW something was really wrong. But before I could think about it, the Pidgey flew over and pecked at Siless' head playfully. To approach with no apparent fear... yes, SOMETHING was wrong.

We exited the building and immediately found two more Pokemon. A Flygon and a Pidgey, both of which didn't interest me. Flygon was a pretty cool Pokemon, but I already had one back at home. He was pretty strong, I felt a bad that I didn't use him as often as I should. "No," I finally said, "I'm not interested in battling these." I said, tossing a doll towards them and looking back at my ranger. "Know any good places around here for more interesting Pokemon?" I asked, putting my Swablu voice disk back on.​

 

Flygon wasn't anywhere near as intimidating as Salamence. I wouldn't have minded bringing it with me, but I already decided what I was bringing out, and I was not going to change this. The Pidgey looked a bit lost, but was looking about curiously; I don't think it even cared about where it was. It seemed to have made a good friend with the Flygon.

Cameron wasn't interested in either one of the Pokémon, so he tossed them a Pokédoll as a parting gift and kept moving. I followed closely, careful not to stumble away from the group.

 

Swablu voice disk. The sound spread out the entire area. Nothing. The area was still. As the large bridge creaked on the pond, the trees that surrounded us were... quiet. No sound. Just quiet. The tranquility was slightly disturbing- from sudden flutter of stumbling birds to nothing. I just saw ripples on water- wait, ripples? Something was be underwater. I leaned over, only to be spooked by the Drifblim's Atonish.

The Drifblim laughed somewhat. The purple Pokemon didn't have anything else to do. And neither did the Noctowl, who rushed put of the darkness, riding Drifblim now. A pair of bored pranksters, I suppose. Now what.

We came across a small pond. Our ranger noticed some ripples, signifying that something was underneath. She was spooked when a Drifblim emerged. I already had a Drifloon, so going for a Drifblim was out of the question. I preferred them to be in their basic form so that I could train them myself, the younger the better. I wasn't sure if it was going to go away, so I tossed a Pokedoll over towards the Drifblim just in case. I knew I didn't have much time left in the park, so I was hoping if I had anything good coming my way, that it would do it quickly. In the mean time, I let my Swablu Voice Disk continue to play.

 

We had already passed up a pair of Hoothoot, and Cameron already caught a Drifloon, so I doubted he wanted any of these Pokémon. My suspicions were confirmed when he tossed a small plush Clefairy doll to the pair to distract them; these dolls never seemed to fail at drawing Pokémon's attention, at least until the Pokémon had a trainer.

I was amazed at the amount of Ghost-types that showed up already.. well, two, but still. Half of the team I brought was weak to Ghost-type attacks, so I had to keep my guard up.

 

The two Pokemon jumped after the Caterpie doll, and into the water. Bubbles came out from the area that has just showed ripples. A white head, a Togetic's emerged from the water. Its eyes where swirling, and little heart shapes were in them, quite like the Murkrow's and Teddison's. A Taillow laughed from a tree nearby, and the infatuated Pokemon snapped back to reality upon discovering the one that performed Attract on it has disappeared. Drifblim and Noctowl leapt out from the water, still fighting over what they thought was food, sending Togetic hurling into the air and landing on the bridge. The Pokemon sat still for a while, shocked by both experiences.

"Would you like to... uh... battle these two?"

The Drifblim and Noctowl took the Pokedoll. Soon after they did, a Tailow and Togetic appeared. The Tailow appeared to be infatuated, but with whom I was unsure, nor did I care. I hadn't found anything interesting yet. "Would you like to... uh... battle these two?" Our Ranger asked.

"Yeah, I don't have time for that." I said, tossing another Pokedoll. I was pretty disappointed, nothing good was coming my way. I left my Swablu disk playing in hopes that that luck would change. I wasn't sure if it would, but it never hurt to be hopeful.​

 

The two pranksters seemed to be stuck on the doll, but it looked like they already affected other Pokémon. Cameron placed another doll down; maybe it would distract the pranking Pokémon again so the Togetic could get away...

The Swablu disk started playing again, filling my mind with a sensation I could best describe as... "cottony". I listened, trying to pick out a response to the voice disk from the wild Pokémon in the area; hopefully it would help us find another Swablu.

 

OOC: I had fun writing this one.

The disk was replied, all right. A booming roar emerged from the forest, and it urged both trainers and me once I saw a black and white flash, meaning that Heal Block has been used. The roar was deafening. I looked at the trainers, and just then Latia's scream knocked me off my feet. Never mind the trainers, if I don't get there now the whole of Outer Heaven will be uprooted. I sprinted towards the forest, trying to block out the noise. It seemed that the trainers followed. Trees tumbled nearby, one nearly sealing my fate. But what I saw made me wish it had.

Rayquaza, enveloped in a disappearing cloak of grey, charged the Hyper Beam, and fired it straight at Latios. The blue Pokemon cried out as the brunt of the heat seared his weak spot. The red triangle glowed furiously before Latios fell like a torpedo towards the ground. A twisted smile stretched across Rayquaza, but only temporarily. A mist ball was fired at Rayquaza, but exploded nowhere close to the green dragon. Latias knew that its strength was no match against the dragon, especially in this state. The dragon chuckled, trying to hide its panting. Latias closed her eyes and chanted in an amazing speed, the light from her triangle fading. Latios flickered back to consciousness, only to find his sister fall from midair and faint. Latios' frantic expression turned into anger at Rayquaza, who gasped upon the return of the formidable foe, but relieved seeing that its heal block has disappeared due to the fainting of the original attacker.

Rayquaza mustered the remaining strength left in its body to propel itself at Latios at jet speed. Latios raised his left paw and flicked its claws, summoning a flashing barrier. Rayquaza was repelled immediately upon impact, spiraling to the ground. That was when it saw us. Its teeth ripped at my ranger bag, and I screamed at the Rayquaza's fast reaction. It ate the very small amount of healing potions I brought. It was little, but it did the trick. Latios growled, and looked at us.

"Well, what ARE you three standing there for? Get out or be useful!" Latios yelled. I looked at my trainers, unable to utter a word. Not only were we facing two legendaries, we were facing two battling legendaries, one of which could talk to us...

A black and white flash blinded me, meaning that Heal Block was now in play. Whatever that was that preformed that move must be powerful. Shortly after, a loud roared echoed through the forest. Our Ranger quickly took off after the roar, I felt the urge to sneak off, but something made me follow. Less than three minutes later, we came across two legendary Pokemon, Latios and Rayquaza.

I stared at the magnificent giant green beast for several moments. Rayquaza was my favorite legendary Pokemon aside from Deoxys, I was really thrilled to see him. Had he not been my favorite, I'd probably be scared out of my mind, but I felt quite excited. I whipped out my camera and quickly snapped a shot of the green Dragon Pokemon, I tried to get both Latios and Rayquaza in the picture, it would make a great story later on. I knew the flash would get his attention, so I had to find a way to get Siless and myself out of here quickly. I wasn't sure if our Ranger was going to follow us, but I didn't want to battle him, though it was always a dream of mine to ride on him.

If I battled him while Heal Block was in effect, I could risk having one of my Pokemon knocked out if they battled a legend. What I was going to do have Shadow hold onto a Pokedoll and use Double Team. Though the Pokedoll wouldn't be real, I hoped it would give off the same effect. The Double Team would hopefully confuse the legends, giving us enough time to escape. Then he'd bring the doll back to me since I wouldn't really need it after the picture I took. The Rayquaza then ripped open our Rangers bag, ingesting all of her potions, which got me thinking who Heal Block was used on. It was clear to me that Latios used Heal Block, but on who? Obviously not the Rayquaza.

"Well, what ARE you three standing there for? Get out or be useful!" Latios yelled.

"We'll get out, as should you. You aren't strong enough to take on Rayquaza. He outclasses you in strength, so use your incredibly fast speed to get yourself out of here." I said to Latios. "Use Double Team then slip back so we can get out of here, Shadow. I still got Pokemon to look for." I called out.

We needed to get out of here; I wasn't delusional enough to think we could fight off a rampaging Legendary Pokémon. Latios was holding his own, but it was unlikely that we could deal any damage to Rayquaza. Cameron was using a Pokémon to help us escape; Double Team would severely lower the risk to Houndoom, though it was still dangerous.

All we could do was get out and leave it to Latios, but having his fallen sister on the battlefield was not going to help him any. I released Sela from her ball; she was the only one in my party that could really help at this point.

"Sela, track the energy from the Healing Wish to the Latias that used it, and then get to her and get her someplace safe with Teleport. If you can't find my location and Teleport there after making sure she's okay, just wait for us at the outpost."

Sela nodded and disappeared in a flash. The task was dangerous, but she was only going to be in range of Rayquaza for seconds and she could defend herself with Protect and Future Sight. I was confident in her ability to get Latias to safety, even though it most likely meant I wouldn't be able to use her for the remainder of this run. I had three other Pokémon to use, but Sela was.. a star player of the team? I could make do without her if I had to (like now), though I preferred to have her ready.

 

Latios was about to say something, but Rayquaza's tail swung over and nearly crushed us. It was just the second protective barrier that stopped the massive force of the Pokemon. The shield was on the verge of breaking- there wasn't much more chances. "Thanks for getting my sister to safety. If your Gardevoir can't track your signal, she can surely track mine." Latios said, closing his eyes. Tracking down the Teleport energy, Latios sensed Latias at the Outer Heaven outskirts- nearly. Teleportation took a while.

"You don't have one of those Pokedolls, do you? I think I know how to stall Rayquaza enough for you two to get out of here. That's why we're doing this in the first place- to stall Rayquaza. He'll come soon, I think... I hope." Latios said, and just then, he noticed Rayquaza's eyes were quivering. Of course! The flash!

"I don't need a Pokedoll anymore. You two get out of here!" Latios said, before launching a burst of light at Rayquaza. "I had no idea this could be so effective." Latios muttered. The Luster Purge went on as Rayquaza roared, as prone to the light as the Pokemon in the building. So Rayquaza was in the building! That's why the Pokemon were disturbed- he woke up! But how did he get out without any sound? But there was no time to think, only run.
