Main RP: Outer Heaven

Missy was heavily wounded from the attack; I'd have to let her take a long rest after this battle too recover, especially since I didn't bring anything to restore health for some odd reason. She'd have to finish this battle however. Missy... certainly looked up to the task; she seemed infuriated that her "appeals" were interrupted, and started fuming once she was hit. I'd have to make sure she didn't take another big hit, but I had to let her finish this battle; she put too much into it already.

"Alright Missy, strike the Murkrow with waves of Thunder Wave and don't let up! Don't let it out of your sight!" Wide streaks of electricity formed in front of the floating Ghost-type and launched towards the dazed Dark-type. As soon as one left the ghost's reach, another formed in its place; from a distance, it looked like a blur. I could barely pick out what looked like blades of lightning from the attack; even in her infuriated state, Missy has her own sense of beauty infused in her attacks, and it felt good to know she hadn't lost it in anger.

I drew a Park Ball from my pocket, ready to throw at an ensnared Murkrow. I knew, however, that I needed help for the ball to hit its mark. "Sela!" I called to my Gardevoir; she knew what I needed her to do, and we waited for a chance to strike. Sela sensed Missy's attack timing, and tried to feel the Murkrow through the attacks; if we could hit the Murkrow through the Thunder Wave, we wouldn't have to risk it trying to get up and avoid the capture. It probably couldn't even hurt itself in confusion; it wouldn't have enough room to maneuver far enough to do so without being gripped by the Paralysis of Thunder Wave.

Missy didn't seem to be tiring out; she'd probably keep the attack going until either her or Murkrow fainted, if I let her, though I only needed it long enough for a capture. Sela let out a small voice in my head, telling me she was ready for me to throw whenever I was ready. I nodded back to her, letting her know I was ready without any vocal confirmation that Murkrow could hear, and I threw the ball into the mass of Thunder Wave blades, watching it glow blue as Sela guided the orb to its target...

 

I was right, Siless threw a Parkball at the Murkrow. But not before launching a Thunder Wave attack at it. Then he had Sela out to guide the ball with her psychic ability. This looked pretty promising, perhaps the annoying dark bird Pokemon would be caught. I could only imagine what kind of training Siless will have to go through with it, probably the same as Drifloon and I.​

 

The thunder waves fell like raindrops on the ground, and raindrops in a heavy storm. It wasn't a surprise Murkrow was hit by one incredibly fast- no luck can avert the combination of confusion and a rampaging sassy Pokemon. Sela had trouble guiding the ball. Not only did she have to weave in and out of the Thunder Waves, Murkrow was moving too, though slowly, which made the task even more difficult to accomplish. Sela had the ability to detect where the Thunder Waves would land, but there were so many signals that it rendered the otherwise helpful trait totally useless.

It was then that a Thunder Wave struck the ball, nearly breaking the mechanism. Sela gasped, cutting off the connection between her and the ball to avoid paralysis. The Parkball fell, and Missy simultaneously stopped, having run out of juice. Sela grumbled somewhat about Missy, before noticing Murkrow on the floor, having bashed straight into a tree.

The capture failed, and Missy was exhausted, but Murkrow seemed to be down for the count. It looked like it was hit by paralysis, and then crashed into something trying to avoid the remaining strikes. The ball I used was completely unusable; the Thunder Wave that hit it shattered its mechanical parts, leaving only the hinge working. It probably wasn't worth salvaging for repairs, but I'd pick it up once we were done here so that it wasn't a piece of trash laying around in the park.

I recalled Missy to her ball for a nice long rest; Sela stepped up to take her place. I threw another Park Ball at the downed Murkrow; hopefully this captured, because otherwise I was down to one more standard Park Ball for the battle. I'd rather keep my higher level balls for when I need them; Hyper Balls were specialized for powerful Pokémon, and were the only way to catch many of them, while Super Balls would make it much easier to catch tricky Pokémon.

 

OOC: Too tired to post. If it fails again, though it shouldn't have before, you can go ahead without me until its a successful capture.

IC: The ball hit the Murkrow and sucked it in. I was quite certain that it was a capture. I felt that somehow something was done wrong, but I just ignored it for now. On the plus side, Siless' Thunder Wave went off well. I was glad he used it, it had to be an absolute success this time around. I watched the ball soar in the air, waiting to see if it was a capture.​

 

This time, the ball hit and it clicked. I looked at the toasted Parkball. Perhaps if I reattach... I took the ball for a second at tried connecting several wires, but it didn't work. At all. "Looks like this one is sincerely busted." I said. There was even a thin layer of soot covering what used to be a light green blotch pattern... that was one mean Thunder Wave.

I took the ball and put it in my bag. "Looks like you've reached your three limit, though you can keep on exploring for more if you like." I looked up the beautiful light slowly meandering through the white, fluffy clouds. Now, thanks to Latias, we wouldn't get lost or anything, and I wouldn't be able to see my GPS. I pointed towards the clear path, up the ancient ruins of a roman-styled building, and at the jungle path.

"The building upfront leads to more friendly Pokemon than the jungle path, though there are rumors of a very strong Pokemon there that knocked out a whole party of six once." I said, giving the duo a chance to choose.

"I'll stay and help Cameron through." I told the group. "It's always nice to have a bit of backup, isn't it?"

I didn't plan on catching any more Pokémon during the run, though that wouldn't stop the Pokémon from coming in pairs; they seem to be more willing to approach pairs of trainers in their own groups, and it was nearly impossible to find a willing single Pokémon when traveling in a group. I knew if I stayed, Cameron could get a choice of what Pokémon in a pair to catch; he could even get both if he wanted, but if he did his park run would be cut an encounter short to make up for the extra Pokémon.

 

Siless' Pokeball snapped shut, sealing the Murkrow inside. Finally that annoying bird was captured. "Congrats!" I said happily. Siless had reached his three Pokemon limit, but had decided to stay with me anyways, which was a good thing. Our Ranger gave us the choice of either going towards the jungle for powerful Pokemon, or to the building up front. The building ahead of us did look pretty promising, so that's where I wanted to go. "I want to go to that building." I finally said. "Lead the way."

 

"To the building it is." I said, before going up the path. It wasn't long before a majestic, large building loomed over us. Magnificent carvings decorated the crumbling marble walls. Supports were added to the building, which were large, thick steel beams that held up the roof inside the building, obscuring and standing out from the carefully hand-crated building.

We both entered, and as we did, a Starly and a Staraptor approached us- perhaps they were related. They seemed to welcome us to the building, with the Staraptor in a bow-like pose, but Starly was simply squawking its beak off, demanding a battle from Cameron, having flown up to him and yelling consistently. Staraptor tried to shut the little brat up, but it kept on going...

Finally we had arrived at the building. It was quite beautiful. The way it was designed was just magnificent. We entered the building and were instantly greeted by a Starly and Staraptor. The Staraptor was polite and welcomed us in, however, the Starly was wanting a battle. What a wonderful way to introduce oneself. I didn't want to battle it, nor did I have any plans on battling it.

"I'd rather not battle you." I said, hoping it would back down. If it wasn't going to stand down, I pulled out a Pokedoll and was prepared to throw it.

 

Cameron didn't seem to want a battle with either of the two Pokémon. I knew he was a collector, so even if he didn't have these he would probably wait for a Pokémon that would be difficult to find outside of the park. I took out my camera, focusing on the grown Staraptor for a picture; even though it was a common trained Pokémon, seeing one in the wild was an extremely rare occurance, and they exuded a sense of strength perfect for photography. I snapped a picture as Cameron pulled out a Pokedoll, ready to use it in case the Starly didn't back off.

 

The Staraptor, upon the sudden flash, rubbed its eyes furiously. That was not what it expected. Maybe it was to ward them off? Well, they definitely wanted to ward off the Starly. The Staraptor grabbed the small bird with its beak and flew off into the deeper caverns that made up the huge building.

We continued on, the fluttering of wings meeting our ears every now and then. The way the building was built ensured echos, so the Pokemon couldn't stay hidden for too long. And they knew. It was probably why the Spearow and Pidgeotto appeared soaring through the chambers. They perched themselves on one of the hanging beams on the wall built in to help the birds rest, and was looking at us in curiosity.

Siless' camera flashed and that caused the Staraptor and Starly to fly away. After they left, we continued on. It wasn't long until we ran into some more Pokemon that wanted to battle us, however, I was not interested. The Pidgeotto and Spearow flew above us, though I was unsure if they wanted to battle.

"Let's just try and go around them." I said, still holding on to the doll in case they didn't let us pass. I didn't want to fight them, so we had to go around them carefully. I just hoped something good came along. I pulled out my Pokeplayer and put in the Swablu voice disk and played it. I already knew how they sound because Siless had caught one earlier. All I had to do now was wait and hope the Pidgeotto and Spearow went away and wait to see if a Swablu or Farfetch'd appeared ​

 

I tried to not draw attention to myself to help Cameron avoid the Pidgeotto and Spearow; the less threatening (or edible) we appeared to be, the less likely they would attack us and we could pass by without wasting energy better devoted to captures.

I suddenly heard a very familiar sound coming from Cameron's direction. When I looked, he had his Pokeplayer on, playing a Swablu's voice. He seemed interested in having one for himself, so I kept my eye out for anything resembling the blue cotton bird.

 

I looked as the two birds fluttered away- seems they weren't interested in battle. The Swablu voice resounded along the corridors, bouncing off the old, marble walls. As we waited in silence, we were replied with a fearsome roar. The roar shook me down to the bone. As the small, carved hole upfront split into two routes, I looked at Cameron and Siless.

"Apparently, something doesn't want us here." I said, before walking up and peering through the two blank ways towards... someplace. I looked at Cameron and Siless, asking if they wanted to go left or right. Something suddenly felt awfully wrong. The roar wasn't one I've heard before. Could it be the rare Pokemon that was supposed to be awaiting in this building, patiently in rest as its next victim approached...? Nah, that's just a myth that passed around the Docks. Or is it?

"Apparently, something doesn't want us here." Our Ranger said after a loud roar filled the tower. I wasn't sure what it was, but I didn't really want to waste my time finding out. The Pokemon I wanted didn't sound anything like that. In fact, Swablu and Farfetch'd were much quieter than that. I figured if we avoided where that sound was coming from, we didn't have to battle it. I had my speculations that it was Rayquaza. I heard of its presence was here in this tower. It was truly a remarkable Pokemon, but I didn't want to battle it now.

"Can we go around it?" I asked, letting my Swablu voice disk continue playing. I was hoping we didn't have to go down that path.​

 

I wasn't prepared for a battle with a Legendary Pokémon at this time. Last time I ran across one the world ended up falling apart around me, and Teddson didn't fare that much better off. We could probably keep out of range if we did come across a legend, but I seriously did not want to fight one..

"Can we go around it?" I heard Cameron ask. The Swablu voice disk kept playing, and the sounds were kinda calming; I felt better about going forward to see what was ahead. I still didn't want to fight though...

 

The player... er... played, and this time there was a calmer response. An Altaria floated by, attracted by the sound of Swablu. But something else was approaching, giving itself away with thunderous footsteps. Its red wings were roughed up from battling. Its body showed the scars of struggle. The Salamence roared, though it was less menacing then the previous.

"Uh oh. Big uh oh." I said, and the Salamence looked over at Altaria, who was sighing, learning it was simply a voice disk. Uninterested, the Salamence slowly approached us instead. I looked at Cameron and Siless.

A Salamence and Altaria appeared before us. Altaria appeared to have been drawn out here because of my Swablu disk. Perhaps it was trying to befriend it or something, but when it found out there was no Swablu, it didn't look to interested in us. The Salamence did look like it wanted to battke, but I however, didn't want to. I pulled out a Pokedoll and my camera. I snapped a photo of both Altaria and Salamence. I waited to see if the picture went though. I held the Pokedoll tight, waiting to throw it in case the Salamence wouldn't leave.

 

In front of me stood an Altaria; it seemed to be interested in finding the source of the Swablu sounds. When it found out it was the Poképlayer, it seemed to ignore us instead...

Salamence, on the other hand, looked at us like we were tasty morsels. "We... really should get going," I said. The Dragon-Type made me very uncomfortable, and the sooner and safer we could leave its presence, the better. Cameron was ready to go too, and I saw he had a doll ready. They were amazingly distracting for wild Pokémon; I've never seen one that ignored a Pokédoll.
