"I fight and trick... because it's fun." He answered under the effect of the Swagger that had successfully gotten through. The rage had worked- sort of. It only further energized the pokemon though. Pumping out more Ominous Wind, Spiritomb continued to laugh. The Wind was now a far deeper shad of purple, as it had become powered up by swallowing the Dark Pulse.

While Sela continued dancing after releasing the Swagger attack, clouds swept over the field, destroying what was once sunny and beautiful. Because it had been summoned by Rain Dance, a shadow was only cast over a small fraction of the valley. Fortunatly, the other wild pokemon had cleared the immediate vicinity a while ago. Some of the storm clouds however, were drawn in by the Ominous... Tornado. The whole thing crackled with what appeared to be electricity.

Slowly and surely, the tornado changed shape. Now a sphere, it also acted as a barrier from all directions. The vortex would severely bruise anyone who dared touch it.

Meanwhile, Serenity took the hint. She issued a command to her Empoleon, who was no longer sleeping. The pokemon used Ice Beam to create a shelter for the four non-battlers.
"Over here!" She called out through the cry of the wind and rain. There was still a small hole in the 'igloo', just large enough for Siless to crawl through. Other than that and a window for each of the humans, it was a solid, foot thick, dome of ice.

    Re: Individual RP: Siless

Sela began supporting the effects of her own Swagger while Siless took shelter. She began charging up rage in her horn once more, keeping a reflexive Protect in the back of her mind should things turn out badly. With enough rage, the ghost should be encouraged to either come out of the storm or use up too much energy adding to it.

"Ha, you think your tricks are worth it?" she called out to the Spiritomb, trying to antagonize it to add to its Swagger. "Do you really believe that they'll get you what you want, that they're all there is to do?" Knowing her trainer was unable to help her while sheltered, she stuck with the most recent strategy they had until she could come up with something better; seeing the Spiritomb build up its powerful attack told her that it was starting to work, and she may be able to get that rage stronger.

"You can't scare me, you can't trick me. The most you can do is hide behind that weak veil of yours." Sela figured the best way to irritate the trickster was to mock its fighting style. She wouldn't do so normally, but her goal right now was to enrage the ghost, so she used everything in her power.

She felt the rage already in the ghost, and tried to duplicate it in her horn to aid in her next Swagger attack. Combined with the power built up for it previously, it was hopefully enough to pierce through the storm with full effect. She also needed to attack, though. Rage would just tire it out, but a capture needed every advantage it could get.

The Gardevoir formed two shames in front of herself using her psychokinetic powers; a pyramid and a sphere. She quickly enveloped the sphere into the pyramid, and took aim at the spherical tornado. Rage in her horn, she took aim at the storm and fired. She then began to pulse her arms with electricity. She was throwing everything at it she could; she could rest when the ghost was tired.

Ideally, Sela hoped, the psychokinetic pyramid would pierce the storm long enough for the orb inside it to get into the wall of Ominous Wind. The resulting explosion would create a huge disruption in the storm, making it nearly impossible to maintain; she'd follow by launching a Thunderbolt and Swagger at the same time, trying to irritate the Spiritomb even further for getting past yet another one of its tricks.

"I won't let you win, ghost," Sela echoed through the ghostly storm. "I will take down each and every one of your tricks, one by one." She knew she wouldn't be able to keep up the antagonizing for long; she was already running out of material. Still, she was trying to give herself an opening by any means now; she had already invested too much into attack options when she changed strategies.

"The only thing I've ever wanted was to have fun! And I'm having plently right now!" He screeched. The swirling purple sphere began to shrink and compress. The pressure eminating was immense, pounding down upon everything.

BANG! It went supernova. For a moment, nobody could hear or see anything. They were trapped in a void caused by sheer power. The pyramid was shattered into dust upon impact. Sela gasped for air as she dealt with the attack. Up above, the clouds were blown away as well. She felt as if bullets were piercing through her very soul. After what seemed to be an eternity, the pain stopped.

It was almost like the Gardevoir's entire being had been bruised. Forcing open her eyes showed her a glimmer of hope. Spiritomb was clearly injured as well. Perhaps her words had had an effect after all. He wobbled back and forth in the air, slowly floating back to the ground.

"You... You're still consious? How is that- even possible?!" The pokemon groaned. His vision was blurry to say the least, but good enough to tell that his opponent was still upright. "Perhaps it might be fun to join you after all. Come with me, I want to show you and the others something." He grunted, then began floating away in the direction of one of the valley's walls.

The icy barrier was badly damaged as well. One swift hit with Serenity's Empoleon's wing demolished it so that they could follow it.

    Re: Individual RP: Siless

The icy barrier behind Sela that was protecting everyone else shattered as the ghost flew away. Immediately, Siless ran to his Pokémon.

"Sela, are you alright?" As more of the dust settled and he got closer to the Gardevoir, he could see her standing, but she was wounded. "You should rest up.. Can you heal yourself with a Wish?"

Sela wasted no time launching the Wish to the still-cloudy skies, but she had to follow the ghost. It said it wanted to show her, and everyone else, something.. but the Gardevoir didn't get a good enough glimpse of its emotion at the time to tell if it was still up to tricking everyone. Still, she had to follow it; it wasn't going to get away from her after she put this much effort into overwhelming it..

Sela lead the group in following the dark disk in the air. The path it followed was relatively clean and simple, though a bit damp from the Rain Dance in the battle prior. Siless and Serenity had no problems keeping pace with the floating Pokémon.

Sela wondered what the Spiritomb wanted to show, if it did want to show something.. but they were headed towards the walls. If it were trying to trick them, it wouldn't corner itself, and if they did want to show them something, it was probably some sort of etching on the valley walls or some sort of monument built near the edge of the valley.

Sela felt glad that Siless was back out in the open. His direct support was valuable to her; she found the last part of the most recent battle difficult simply because she had made him hide instead of staying out to watch. It reassured her knowing that the danger had passed; she didn't even mind what she went through to make it that way.

While following the Spiritomb, Sela considered what she wanted to do after, but there were too many possible situations; she would just have to react to what's there. Still, she kept a few ideas in her head; she could Teleport everyone out of danger if need be, even the Spiritomb if it came to that. She could intercept any threat and Protect herself, giving everyone ample time to react... If something happened that wasn't the Spiritomb, he would be in danger as well, and she could possibly get his help using that.

The ghost moved with great agility through the valley to get to the wall; Sela wasted no time doing the same, and the trainers following kept pace with the leading Pokémon on the clear pathways.

They were nearing the edge of the valley. Everyone had more than enough time to recover some of their energy, though their wounds were still great. It seems the truce was holding; Sela wasn't going to break it, at least. She didn't exactly trust the ghost, but it wouldn't surprise her to actually see something at the wall they were headed to.

    BP(?)

After going through a small bit of brush, the Spiritomb arrived. He paused to wait for the others to catch up.
Serenity and her pokemon were a pace or two behind Siless, who was several feet behind his pokemon. The ranger jogged, and her fairly big upper regions bounced with each step she took. "Spiritomb seems to be warming up to Sela and you, doesn't he." She smiled. They had now gone far enough away from where they began that the ground beneath them was no longer soggy.

"Here it is." The ghost type announced. It was a cave, that judging by the air currents coming out, went on for quite a while. Trees and bushes surrounded the entrance, including a plethora of thorns. If one looked down, there were gaps that small pokemon would have no trouble scampering through. He faded right through the impeeding brush, forgetting that those following him would find it challenging to pass.

Just as Sela came up to the blockade of growth, she felt the soothing relief of her Wish coming true. The sparkles rained down on the Gardevoir, just a touch by a single one of the glittering earthreal fragments healed the area.

    Re: Individual RP: Siless

"So... Sela.. Are we going in?"

The Gardevoir nodded. Slowly, she started to move the brush away from the entrance of the cave bit by bit psychically; it was much better than touching the thorns to move them.

Siless turned to make sure that he wasn't too far ahead of Serenity and her Empoleon.

"Going into this cave wouldn't be a problem, right?" Siless asked, but he could tell that the ranger was as interested in seeing the events concerning the Spiritomb as his Gardevoir was, and that would involve a nice little spelunking trip. He started clearing away the small trees, while Sela was cleaning up the thorns quite nicely. Soon, the brush was cleared enough that the only problem remaining was a small layer of thorns at the bottom of the entrance; it was easily traversed by the levitating Pokémon, the Steel-type Pokémon, and the two footwear-using humans.

Inside the cave, there was hardly any light; only what came from the entrance shown through, and that was quickly dimming as the group advanced.

"It's getting hard to see.. I should have bought Flash before coming down here..."

Siless tripped up multiple times before they reached the end of the light from the entrance; the Pokémon had no trouble traversing the uneven terrain, and Serenity showed no signs of slipping up.

Sela decided they needed more light to go down. She pulsed her arms full of electricity, as if she was preparing to use a Thunderbolt attack, but held back the power and held the charge. The resulting electrical pulses gave off a bright, but erratic, light that made travel much easier.

Immediately, a small Pokémon scurried from the bright light into one of the small holes in the ground; it seemed it was scared of the trespassers. From then on, Siless watched every step he made so that he wasn't stepping on anything; he tripped up less, but the entire group was slower as a result.

"This cave... is long," Siless commented. There was the occasional scampering Pokémon, but the cave so far seemed relatively nondescript other than the holes in the ground. It felt like the ground was headed slightly downhill, and they were certain that the cave hadn't changed direction so far, so it would be easy to go back if they needed to, and they couldn't have gone on a different path than the Spiritomb.

As the group advanced, small Pokémon appeared more frequently. Many of them were too quick for Siless to identify, but he recognized a small number of them as Rattata. He didn't know if he was right in this assumption, since their usual habitat, the Woods, was on the opposite side of the valley; still, it wouldn't surprise him if he was right, as Rattata had a habit of making their way into any environment that wasn't too extreme.

Soon, Siless started wondering about where exactly the group was headed...

"Maybe we're headed to some civilization of Ghost-type Pokémon?"

Immediately after speaking, Siless found this suggestion to be.. out there. He hoped it wasn't that, or at least that if it was the Ghost Pokémon would be friendly to the visitors...

"Any ideas, Serenity? We have to be coming up on it soon..."

Serenity hesitantly went into the cave. Not because she was worried about what the Spiritomb might do, but because she really doesn't like the dark. She latched on tightly to her purple Blaziken's arm. It's not that she's scared of it, she got over that wen she was litle. The girl just strongly dislikes the dark.

Spiritomb went slowly, as not to lose them in one of the various passegeways that were coming up. He certainly didn't need them going down the left one, where there was a deep pit that travellers sometimes fell into. Suddenly, the section of the cave became more brightly illuminated.

The ranger pulled out an electric lantern with a double-bulb system and turned it on. As she did that, she heard Siless say something.
"Huh?" She thought back- "Oh, um. That's a good theory, but I honestly have no clue. I get the feeling we're still a ways away though." At the end of the sentence, Serenity made a small yelp, for she nearly bumped her head into a stalactite.

    Re: Individual RP: Siless

The Spiritomb stayed at the edge of the travelers' field of vision. It seems the cave was starting to branch off, and it would be horrible to get lost inside, even if the Gardevoir could just Teleport them out.

A light source appeared behind Sela. Serenity had pulled out an electric lantern, so her own electric light source wasn't needed; she pulled the Thunderbolt-lighting back into her own body to save the energy.

The group followed the ghost down the right-most path and through several twist and turns in the cave. The holes in the ground started to get bigger as the stronger, larger Pokémon made their homes deeper in the cave. Siless doubted that, at this point, he'd see any more Rattata. The stronger Pokémon would probably scare them away up to the entrance. It did seem these Pokémon did a better job of staying hidden though; only one or two had scurried across their field of vision since Serenity pulled out the electric lamp.

Siless noticed that Serenity seemed a bit unnerved. He didn't know if it was the cave, or the ghost, or even something she saw that the rest of then didn't. He thought about sending out Teddson to cheer her up, but he decided against it; Teddson was fun, but anyone outside the group may see him as obnoxious... annoying any Pokémon within the cave would probably be more of a hassle than its worth, and, depending on the Pokémon, may end up getting the group into too much danger.

The ghost Pokémon dove left and right through the twist and turns of the cave, but always stayed in sight of the group; it seemed that the cave was more treacherous than they originally thought, and Spiritomb knew its way around it pretty well. Giant pits littered various branched passageways, though the light of the electric lantern made it far easier to traverse; the pits were now in plain view instead of being hidden by an erratic light source. The path the group was following had a considerably lesser amount of holes in it as well; Siless wasn't tripping up anywhere near as badly as when they first entered the cave, and the group made their way further into the cave with much better time than when they started.

Sela thought of asking how close they were to wherever they were headed, but the Spiritomb seemed focused on following an exact path. Even though it could levitate, it was following the safest ground route, showing the easiest way to their destination, and it most likely wouldn't be a good idea to distract it by making it respond. Still, the Ranger may have heard something about these caves, even if she's never been down here before..

    "Gar, Garde.. Gardevoir."

"Huh?" Siless quickly processed what his Pokémon just told him, and turned to Serenity. "Have you heard anything about this place? Or is this the first time a Ranger's been down here?"

"Erm, I don't know. This is my first job as a ranger. I know there are caves around here though." She said, then took a moment to think and pull a piece of hair away from her face. "However, judging by the foliage surrounding the entrance, if people have been down here, they haven't been for quite a long time." Serenity paused then resumed. "Although, at least that particular entrance."

Sapphire, her Empoleon was having slight difficulty going through the cavern, due to the fact that mostly she could only wobble. Amethyst was having a much easier time, making full use of her long legs.

The Spiritomb stopped without warning, and motioned down. There was a deep pit that spanned the entire width of the tunnel. It had to be at least 20 feet across, and 50 feet down. The bottom was strewn with sharp rocks and such. Serenity approached it and scratched her head as she thought. "Sapphire might be able to make an ice bridge, but there's no garuntee that that would be strong enough." She brainstormed out loud.

    Re: Individual RP: Siless

"Oh. Thought they might give Rangers a list of places to avoid or something; if you hadn't been warned of here, it can't be that bad.. unless it wasn't found before."

Siless turned his attentions to the problem at hand instead; namely, the 50 foot drop off onto sharp, pointy rocks.

"The ice bridge sounds too risky.. By the time we complete one end, the opposite end will have melted," he pointed out. "Sela could Teleport us across one-by-one, but it might take some time.. She's accurate, and can go far with a single Teleport; she even brought be back home to Goldenrod from way over in Blackthorn once. It's just after a couple of Teleports carrying another person, she gets tired, and carrying more than one person makes her a bit.. inaccurate.. which I don't think we want."

As if to demonstrate the point, Sela grabbed Serenity from behind and disappeared in a bright flash of light. Another flash appeared on the other side, far brighter than the flashes that occurred after the Gardevoir Teleported herself, and revealed the ranger and the Pokémon. The Gardevoir then made her way back with a second Teleport, far quicker than the first, and almost effortless.

"You... really should've asked first, Sela," Siless responded to his Pokémon's antics. "Still.. the damage is done, and you were just trying to be helpful... Can you get one of her Pokémon over to her?"

Sela decided to grab the colored Blaziken, Amethyst. Again, she disappeared in a flash of bright light with the Pokémon. Both of them reappeared in yet another flash, though this flash took far longer than the one that transported Serenity across. Sela was winded, so she used a Wish; the move provided her with plenty of excess stamina, if she could find the time to wait for it to be granted.

"Sorry about this," Siless called to his ranger. "She's.. just trying to be helpful." At this remark, the Gardevoir smiled meekly to Serenity in apology; she figured that the Ranger probably didn't expect this solutions, and she certainly didn't give her time to process it before attempting it.

"We may be here for a while," Siless said. He noticed that Sapphire seemed a bit lonely without her trainer on their side of the pit, so Siless let out his Ludicolo, Teddson. "Play nice, Teddson. Keep her company." With this command, the Pineapple-shaped Pokémon sat next to the Empoleon, introduced itself, and attempted to make conversation. He went through many topics; dancing, music, swimming, and he made note of Sapphire's reactions, trying to find something in common. His voice always stayed very rhythmic, regardless of topic, and soon the pit was echoing with "Ludi-Ludicolo Ludi-Ludicolo.."

"So.. I guess we'll be stuck here until Sela's wish comes true. Sorry 'bout this again." Siless decided to try and pass the time with conversation. "So, Serenity, what made you want to become a Ranger?"

    BP?

"It breaking would be the problem; I don't think it would melt that qui- BWAAH!" She yelped when the Gardevoir grabbed her. Once on the other side, she heard Siless repremand his pokemon. "I'm really easily startled too." Serenity laughed nervously. "But, the thought of using Teleport did cross my mind, so I should have been a bit more ready for that.

Amethyst looked somewhat startled as well. More annoyed than anything though. "I probably could have leapt across, you know. Blaziken are renowned for their jumping abilities." Said pokemon folded her arms. Sapphire wasn't exactly having a picnic with Teddson either. He wouldn't let her get a single word in. She got an idea however, and motioned for the Ludicolo to follow.

The Empoleon aimed a powerful Hydro Cannon into the abyss at the same time Siless asked his question. She knew that there was no way she'd be able to fill it up to the top, but that would not be neccessary anyways. Water was soon a couple feet above the last of the deadly stalagmites quite quickly with the other water type's aid. Sapphire then used Ice Beam to turn the entire bottom of the pit into a giant block of ice. Directing the othe pokemon with Ice Beam, the two were able to turn the chasm into a frozen half-pipe.

"That's genius, Sapphire!" Serenity praised her pokemon while she made a small platform of ice next to the abyss, which she then layed down on. The Empoleon on her belly waved her wing for Siless to climb up on her back. The whole extravaganza made the young ranger forget about Siless' question. It could always be answered a bit later though. She didn't really have an answer yet anyways.

    Re: Individual RP: Siless

Siless returned Teddson to his Pokéball; the Ludicolo liked playing with the cold, not touching it directly. The trainer mounted the beckoning Empoleon.

It was a rush he'd rather forget. He had decided, after crossing, that he much preferred Teleport; the rush was too much for him, and he dismounted Sapphire with a stumble towards the wall, thanking her once he got his footing.

Spiritomb passed the group, ready to lead the party further into the expansive caverns. Sela followed closely behind, joined by Serenity and her Pokémon. A stumbling Siless brought up the rear of the group.

In this part of the caverns, there weren't any holes in the ground like there were earlier. Siless figured that the Pokémon probably didn't try to pass the massive pit in the fashion they just tried, and most Pokémon beyond this point were able to float or fly across, like the Spiritomb they were following.

A Zubat awoke from its nap on the ceiling and took off in the group's direction; it seemed startled, and probably didn't expect any visitors. It knocked off Siless's fedora (he had just thought about how amazing it was that it stayed on during the halfpipe run, and now..) but otherwise didn't cause any damage and flew off in the pit-turned-frozen-halfpipe. Anything this far in probably wasn't expecting humans to appear, and, if they weren't fiercely territorial or interested in the group, they'd probably run off like the Zubat did.

Siless picked up his hat from the ground and started to dust it off. "We should be getting close, right? Whatever it is can't be that far underground..."

He started thinking about his proposal of what lay ahead... the settlement of Ghost-type Pokémon.

Mayor Gengar stood on his balcony, admiring the gem-like, shimmering stalactites hanging over his precious city.

"Mr. Gengar, Sir, Mr. Spiritomb is on his way back to our fair city."

"Ah, yes.. does he have our visitors?"

"Yes, sir." Gengar's secretary, Mismagius, reported everything the city's agents could about the nearing group.

"Very well. Prepare our ambassadors. It is time we revealed ourselves to the above-ground world
, and we may need their help."

With this, a Kadabra and a Haunter appeared. Non-ghosts didn't usually rank high in this society, but the Kadabra had the advantage of being able to communicate with all the admittedly-rare visitors..

The Gengar turned to his two subordinates. "You know what to do."

Siless was mumbling to himself in deep thought; Sela had to stifle a snicker. The Trainer's overactive imagination sometimes got the better of him when he was waiting for something to happen. The Gardevoir didn't mind, and didn't try to snap him out of it either; he was still following at a good pace, and right now that was all they needed.

    BP?

"Before all the excitment, you asked me why I decided to be a ranger." She paused to think. "A multitude of reasons, I guess. Firstly, I decided that I needed to get a job, and being a ranger sounded like a ton of fun. You get to meet all sorts of different pokemon, be in the beautiful National Park, and help guide trainers through it." Serenity grinned.

"We're getting closer." Spiritomb told those behind him, continuing to look out for gaps in the ground. He was relatively certain that there weren't, but it was better safe than sorry. The cave was getting more narrow, and the ceiling getting lower as the group continued to go further in. Meanwhile, Sela's Wish was granted, and she felt re-energized.

A thought occured to Serenity, that she had forgotten to ask something fairly important. "Are there any specific pokemon you hoped to find in the Valley?" She asked him, as she knew that many-most trainers probably, came to the various areas of the Park with certain pokemon in mind. If she knew what Siless was looking for, perhaps she'd be able to do a better job helping him find them.

    Re: Individual RP: Siless

Siless snapped out of his daydream. The cave was getting smaller; he had to pay attention to avoid smacking his head on the low points of the roof of the caverns.

"Before all of the excitement," Serenity began, "you asked me why I decided to become a ranger..."

The reasoning echoed with his own thoughts about the area; the National Park seemed to be a Pokémon Paradise, and it would be great to be able to work in such an area.

Here, there's so much available to Pokémon.. Here, they can all live in peace.. There's something here for every Pokémon... and Rangers monitor the visiting Trainers, so there's no abuse.. Everyone here devotes so much to the Pokémon. And there's so much to offer to them here.. Everything could find a place in this park...

"Yeah... I see what you mean."

With Siless's question to Serenity answered, the Ranger shot one back at the Trainer. "Are there any specific Pokémon you hoped to find in the Valley?"

"Well, Sela and I kinda hoped to see a wild Ralts family. Her egg was hatched by my parents at their home south of Goldenrod, so she's never seen a wild Ralts or a member of its family. We thought it'd be a good learning experience for both of us."

"Gar-voir!" Sela agreed from the front of the group.

"Other than that, we were just interested in seeing what we came across. A lot of the Pokémon in the area are pretty interesting."

The Spiritomb said something about the group getting closer to whatever it wanted to show us.. But the cave was getting smaller. Whatever it wanted to show was either small or a ghost, maybe both.

"I certainly didn't expect to find a Spiritomb though.. They're extremely rare... I've seen some creeps try to take them away from their trainers.. and that's how I learned that they're pretty strong too."

Are we even still considered to be in the Valley? Siless wondered. We may want to go back after we find... whatever this is so that we're not trying to cross area boundaries..

"We're almost there.." Siless spoke out loud to reassure himself; he was getting ready for whatever was going to come up.

"I bet he sits there hoping someone will find him so he can have some fun." She laughed and stumbled in the process. Serenity swore she heard something, something very faint coming from further in. However, as she could barely hear it herself, the ranger doubted anyone else heard it, due to her hearing being so sensitive. Her hand was beginning to hurt from holding the light, so she switched hands.

"There's no telling how she'll react. She might be furious for bringing them there. Then again, perhaps she could see that they're different from the other ones. It cannot hurt to try anyways." The ghost was in deep thought as he floated through the tunnel. Even if Sela was able to read his thoughts (which he was trying to keep concealed), they were ambiguous enough that he wouldn't give anything away.

Soon, they came to what appeared to be a dead end. The group saw the Spiritomb float upwards and out of sight. Upon getting closer, they saw that there was a narrow passageway going straight up. It had to be about 15 feet to the ledge that continued the journey. Before long, Serenity was holding a long, thick rope, and setting her lantern on the ground. "It doesn't look like Telaporting will be accurate enough, due to the tiny landing space." She craned her neck. "We'll have to go single file up there." Then she handed the rope to the Spiritomb, who had come back down once he realized they wouldn't be able to follow yet. Only Arceus knows how, but he managed to tie the other end of the rope to a stalagmite.

    Re: Individual RP: Siless

Siless pulled hard on the rope; it didn't come loose, so he figured it would probably support him while he climbed up.

"Well.. Here goes everything," Siless said. He propped his feet up to the wall of the cavern and slowly began to climb. "Y'know, I would much rather prefer to use the stairs."

Siless let Sela stay out of her ball; she could levitate up and didn't have to climb the rope, and she could help someone if they fell. Fifteen feet is quite a drop, and even if they don't make it that high before falling... it would still hurt...

Siless's climbing was slow. "I always hated this during gym class," he commented, "though I never used the wall like this. Goldenrod Public School's rope was in the middle of the gymnasium... that made it worse.." Still, he was making progress through the tall cavern; the ledge remained about seven feet away from his grasp.

"The knot's good. The rope should hold until we're all done. Do you think we should just leave it there, or should we try to salvage it once we're up?" Siless seemed to alternate between speaking and deep thought as he climbed, making as much of an effort as possible to not think about his height above solid ground.

It would be nice if we could all just float around wherever we want to go, like Sela. Of course, his thoughts inevitably brought him back to how high he was; each time they did, he started speaking again.

"This.. should be our last big obstacle, right? After we get where we're going... we can take a nice rest.. and then start working our way out.. sound good everyone?"

Siless had himself within arm's reach of the ledge, but he overshot while climbing once before; the fall shook him at the time, but a cushioned landing meant that was all it was. He had no such luxury here, so he continued climbing so he knew he wouldn't misstep and fall.

"When you guys get up here, you should take a closer look at the roof of the cavern. The rock forms some interesting shapes up here." It seemed that his conversation didn't help divert his attention from his height either.

The trainer made his last few steps to the ledge and swung onto it; there was an open passageway on the ledge. The passage was small and short; Siless made his way in to make room for the next climber.

"We're all right up here," he called back down the shaft. "The rope's strong; we shouldn't have any trouble getting the rest of us up here." Siless then considered bringing up a conversation piece; it may be of more help than Siless going on with his random, height-based banter recently.

"Did you have any idea our run would get this crazy this early? A lot happened in such a short amount of time.."

    Re: Individual RP: Siless

    BP?

"I'd have Sapphire make some, but the veritcal corridor is far too small for them to fit." She said to Siless' comment on the lack of stairs. Serenity was amused by how inneficiant his climbing was. The way she saw it, the best method would be like one of those things in a playground.

Soon, she heard something about salvaging the rope, and angrily interjected. "I'd kinda like to be able to get my rope back you know." "Although I'd love to know how a pokemon without hands managed to tie a knot."

Siless finally made it to the top and said that the rope was strong. "Well, why would I bring a weak one?!" Serenity called up as she grabbed hold of the rope. With her feet, she started to walk up the rocky wall. One hand over the other, one foot after the other, she climbed.
"And how was I supposed to know! I'm not psychic, nor do I have any past experiences to refer to." The ranger reached the top as well.

Amethyst immediately pulled herself up as well. Although she went far quicker than the two humans had, as Blaziken are rather athletic. Sapphire would be a problem. Stubby feet/legs, plus no hands, is a horrid combonation for getting up walls via a rope. The Empoleon grabbed onto the rope with both wings, after the Spiritomb came over and tied the rope securely around her waist.
    "Pull!"

    Re: Individual RP: Siless

"Salvage... I meant to get the rope back. It was over a fifteen foot drop..."
Siless hadn't meant to insult Serenity, he just tried to keep talking to keep his mind off of the climb.

"Pull!" the Trainer heard. He grabbed the rope behind Amethyst and Serenity and started to pull the Empoleon up. The rope started to come up slowly with the Steel-type in tow, but it was slow, hard work and the Pokémon probably did not feel comfortable hanging in the air.

"Sela! Use your Psychic to help push Sapphire up the shaft!"

The Gardevoir grabbed the rope with her psychokinetic powers and pulled upwards; she levitated to be slightly above the Empoleon so that she could focus her mind on the rope. With this force, the Empoleon's climb went a lot faster. The rope pulled upwards at a good pace; not too slow, but not fast enough to make Sapphire uncomfortable. The knot held tightly; Siless noted that, once the park trip was done, he wanted to find out how the Spiritomb made such strong knots without hands...

Slowly, the levitating Gardevoir started to surface from the shaft; Sapphire was just below her. Once she was level with the ledge, she climbed onto it for footing and then started pulling on the rope herself instead of just focusing on her psychic powers. The group slowed the pulling slightly while making sure everyone was ready for the final effort to get the Empoleon onto the ledge. Soon enough, the group could see one of Sapphire's fins starting to reach upwards.

"Alright, we're almost there. One last strong pull should do it!"

The group pulled, and the Empoleon was able to come up to the ledge. Sela helped her to her feet and unknotted her from the rope, wrapping the rope into the coil it came in and handing it back to the Ranger.

"So.. we're almost there..." Siless didn't expect the caverns to be so difficult to traverse; most caverns outside the park just had rocks and boulders that a Pokémon could take care of with Strength and Rock Smash. The occasional waterfall sat in caves near the League buildings for some reason, but even those weren't problems for Water Pokémon. Heck, the worst cave he knew of was the Ice Path, which he liked to visit once in a while with his Lapras to relax...

"Are we... ready to go on?"

    BP

"Yeah. I think so." Serenity said, slightly out of breath.
The path got narrower and narrower. Soon, Sapphire had to walk sideways in order to traverse it. After a few mintues, they came to a large clearing. It looked almost like a place where a gym battle would occur. Rubble was pushed off to the sides of the oblong 'room', and there was a little stream, a couple inches wide, flowing through one of the shorter ends.

"This is where I live." Spiritomb said. "Before we go on, I want you to catch me. It's the only way I'll be able to convince her to trust you." He said this in a way that showed he never ever thought he'd say such a thing. "But, I'm not going to hand myself to you. Just a little battle- nothing like before. Due to the circumstances, we have to make this quick." At this, he spouted out a Confuse Ray, which this time, danced about.

It wavered this way, and that way. Up and down, left and right. The orb reached Sela and began circling her in a drunk like fashion. Of course, pokemon moves can't get drunk. (lol) In the way it was zooming around, it could hit the Gardevoir at any angle.

    Re: Individual RP: Siless

"Quick it is then," Sela replied to the ghost. Before she knew it, she was being encircled by a Confuse Ray. The orb dashed every-which-way; it'd be hard to purposefully block it without a Protect, but she needed to get some sort of offense in.

"This is it, Siless. Let's finish what we started!"

"Right, Sela. Let's finish this!" Siless's cry echoed throughout the room. The Gardevoir stood at attention, ready to battle and awaiting a command to deal with the Confuse Ray.

That orb is going to cause problems.. We need to deal with it, and quick. Siless looked across the room. Rubble was piled up on the sides, as if the room was cleaned; it seemed logical if the Spiritomb lived here. At one of the 'corners' of the oblong room, a small stream flowed. It was too small to make an attack with, but if they had to, getting the ghost damp would slightly amplify the power of a Thunderbolt.

"Sela! Use a Magical Leaf and try to shoot down the Confuse Ray!" Siless knew that it was near impossible to hit it on purpose, but if Sela launched the leaves in all directions, there was the chance it may hit. That would give it both the protection and the offense the Gardevoir needed for the battle.

Sela nodded at the command. Hundreds of leaves instantly formed from the Embrace Pokémon's arms and floated around her, glowing colors ranging from light pink to dark purple. She launched the many leaves in all directions, hoping to hit the Confuse Ray orb and make it disappear before it could do any harm. Sela hoped to get a few hits on the Spiritomb as well, but if it backed off into a corner of the room, that would work well enough.

Before the leaves could fall to reveal the battlefield, Siless launched another command. "Gather up the stones on the side of the room with Confusion! Make a small wall in front of you, Sela!"

"Now what is this supposed to accomplish?" Sela asked Siless mentally in confusion. She started gathering stones, but with no large amount of speed.

Siless sent a thought back to her, now that they were connected. "It's to make more projectiles for the Spiritomb to deal with. So far, it's just a 'wall' to him, and probably a useless one. He may think we're planning something instead of just defending ourselves, but it's something to try."

    "Alright then,"
the Gardevoir replied. She put more effort into gathering stones, grabbing a large bundle at a time and adding them to the 'wall'. The leaves still littered the air in the room, but would be fading soon...

    "Now, Sela, launch the wall!"

The Gardevoir sent a psychic strike into the pile of rocks; each one scattered in a different direction away from the spectating group and into the battlefield.

The leaves started to fade... Siless and Sela both hoped the Confuse Ray orb was struck down in the projectile-based mayhem, but there was no way to know for sure until the leaves faded, and then it would be too late to do anything else about the orb...
