Individual RP: Ace Trainer Liam

Liam was ready to try and catch the Sandslash now. He said a few words to his Starmie, who was also worn from the battle (and the previous battles it had been a part of), before taking out a Park Ball and tossing it at the Sandslash.

The ball soared through the air and hit the dazed Sandslash. It hit the ground, causing a bit of dirt to fly up into the air. The ball shook once... twice... three times...

Aleria held her breath. This Sandslash was angry, and he didn't seem like the type to just give in easily. He was probably fighting with himself in the Poke Ball, struggling to break free when his body just wanted to give into the capture.

Click!

There was a red light that glowed in the center of the Poke Ball once it clicked. Aleria walked up to the Poke Ball and picked it up, depositing it into her bag. "Looks like Sandslash gave in and got captured. Nice work." She paused for a moment, looking around. The sun was starting to set over the horizon, but there was still enough time for Liam to finish his run. "You've still got two more encounters left. If you try catching another Pokemon, you'll have to choose between the ones you catch, or you can just see what they are. We can just go ahead and leave too. I'm fine either way, so it's up to you what we do."

Liam heard the click, but it hadn't registered in his mind yet; he was stunned at the scene. He heard Al speak and ask him a question, but he was still in such a state of shock that it took him a moment to shake out of it. Liam winced and returned to reality as he said,

"Huh? Oh, uh yea. That's perfect. I'm... I'm done!" And as he said those words it finally hit him that he had finished his first park run and caught three extrodinary Pokemon was glad to add to his team. He gave a great smile and ran up to Calypso, embracing starfish Pokemon into his arms and holding it high in an amorous hug.

"We did it Calypso! You did it! We caught Sandslash, Roggenrola, and Vulpix! All thanks to you, Nike, and Jason!" He sat the withered Starmie down and returned it to the Pokemon around his neck. He stood up straight, sweaty and tired form the adventure that seemed to take years, and looked at Al.

"I'm ready to go home, Al. Thanks so much for all your help. It's greatly appreciated." He gave a sincere smile and started walking back with Al.
