General Park Discussion/Feedback/Questions

Mostly this, but Stunfisk is too useless to do anything so I don't think it should be moved up XD

But I say keep Basculin as Uncommon and maybe move Stunfisk up.

 

I think Weavile can stay in the Rare rank - though I'm fine with it moving to Special. However, if we compare it to Story ranks, it's in Complex which is 30-40K which is close to our Rare rank. Like what Winter said, I don't think Special category is just for special evos 'cos Salamence is Special... Mienshao being a Demanding mon is pretty weird, imo, but that's a whole new discussion altogether.

As for Basculin and Stunfisk, I'm split on this. The stats are somewhat in the middle if you compare them to others (obviously Maggyo lovers/haters will be "debating" about this ). Stunfisk could probably be moved up and Basculin stay in Uncommon - though that is quite unfair.

Regarding all of these topics about moving Pokemon around, how about we make the general public take a vote? It's not that in this thread it's only the rangers who discuss, but the rest of the URPGers generally don't take a look at this thread. Maybe we could post in the General forum or the URPG General Discussions/Chat/Feedback thread?

 

We could do that, but the fact is, a lot of people don't care about mechanics of Park like we do, like for fairness and sense-making. Like GM pointed out up top, people would probably be more inclined to say the easier rank just because that would make the mon easier to get for them. Couldn't hurt to try though, but I'll leave that choice up to someone higher up on the food chain than I am.

 

lol, there is only two people higher than you. I say leave them where they are, they are useless. Then again, I don't know anything about them so my opinion wouldn't mean much here.

 

Nice idea, Muddy, but as Rangers we're the people who best know the Park and how it works. I wouldn't ask Derian to give voice to what rank he thinks certain Pokemon should be in the Park any more than ATF would ask me my stance on Contest Credits (mainly cos everyone in the URPG knows that I think THEY SUCK XD)

Seriously though, this is Ranger (and perhaps Staff) business. Also, I'm fine with leaving both Stunfisk and Basculin where they are - neither of them are really that good in battles. Regarding Weavile / Mienshao, I can see the arguments for leaving Weavile in Rare, but I still think Mienshao should be dropped to Intermediate.
