@ Ataro, a Park promotion is probably better, aswell if not instead.

Yeah, I'd say it was pretty good. :)

@Ataro: That might be an option if very few trainers come into the park, or if rangers handle a number/a whole load of trainers at one time even if there are a lot of people wanting to go into the park...

@Synthesis: What do you mean, exactly?

    Yeah, um, no thanks :p

If there's a shortage of Trainers, as Rangers it should be our duty to try and bring people into the Park, not give up and limit ourselves.

And what Synthesis probably meant is a Park Event like the one we have going, but it affects the normal day-to-day events in the Park. Examples would be the 5k credit bonus offered when the BMG branch opened, or the common suggestion of a temporary Pokemon Withdrawal Limit increase from 3 to 5.

Imo, nothing will happen until the Christmas Run ends, and that's probably a month away yet, and I think the next event is already being planned. But if you have any ideas for events / promotions or any other way to get more Trainers into the National Park, please let Bumblebee or myself know. You could also try talking directly with Trainer17, but if you want a faster response one of us newer Elite Rangers would be a better bet.

Late congratulations to everybody for becoming Rangers. It takes a bunch of RPing to reach that position.

That doesn't sound like a half bad idea actually. Probably a bitch to organize but I can see the appeal.

Hi guys! I just came up with two questions.

First of all, what is the correct method of counting CC exactly? I've seen many different runs doing different things--two different methods, to be precise. One is by counting once the trainer actually encounters a Pokemon. And another counts even during NBPs (including the first (and sometimes second) post of the trainer). I would like to know which method is correct, unless there is no correct method... :uhoh:

Next, I have a question with regards to one of the questions in the Ranger Quiz. It was the only one I got wrong, and although I understand T17's explanation on why I got it wrong, I still wonder about something. The mistake I made was Scenario Ques. 1, about the chances of Arcanine and Probopass appearing. Is there, in any place, a list of where the Pokemon can actually be found? No, I am not saying their areas like Mt. Deckbi, The Woods, etc. I'm saying specifically which place in the area. Like Arcanine can be found in the hilly areas and whatnot, while Probopass would be found in the caverns. So making Pokemon show up would still be according to the pre-rolled list, even if not in the order in which it was rolled--meaning it would depend on their location in that zone.

Err.. Hope I didn't make your eyes bleed with that wall of text, though it isn't really a block of words... ^^

As far as I understood it the first one is the character count is based upon all NBPs before an encounter and all BPs once the Pokémon has appeared.

As for the second, there is no list and there is no real right answer either, on the principal that it is up to the ranger to choose how encounters appear.

Buzzer is right. The CC of an Encounter starts from the second the last encounter ended, or the Trainer's first post if they haven't had any yet. This is why some Rangers will do a couple NBPs before a high-level Encounter, to build up the CC a bit.

Also, I can't say on the last question because it was different when I did it, but I think Buzzer is right again. Rangering is more like Grading that Reffing in that we have a lot of room to do whatever we wish in runs, as long as we follow the hardcore constants like the Escape rolls, the Encounter list and the Capture Rate. That question is mostly there to see your reasoning, iirc.

Not that it matters, though, because a new Ranger Quiz should be up reasonably soon anyway.

    Yep, taking over.

First post soon - I only have one of the Encounters remaining so I'll reroll the rest.

I'm guessing that I should request another Ranger, since my recent one hasn't gotten back to me?

That depends on how long it has been since your ranger posted, if it has been more than a week, then you can request a new ranger. There are a bunch of new rangers who, I am guessing, would be more than willing to take over your run.

We all want money, after all.
