Due to the speed and ability of Alakazam the Energy Ball move went off flawlessly and Mudkip had no chance to dodge from the Grass type attack. With a small yip the Mudkip fled back to its pond and fled to the safety of its depths. I walked over and placed a hand on Alakazam. "Nice job, you handled that easily enough. Please fetch that Popcorn ball it left behind."

The eyes of Alakazam glowed a soft magenta color as it channeled its energies to lift the candy and bring it over to us. I snagged the item and placed in a bag. We walked into the next room and was greeted by the sight of two different exits. It was time to use my magic ball.​

I bent to one knee and pulled my pack off my back. I opened it up and pulled out two items: a pumpkin marker and my crystal ball. I first lit the marker and placed it in the middle of the room before I turned to my other item. The ball acted as a GSP while I was inside this cave complex, but it only had two uses and I had already used it once, this would be the last time it was available. I pressed a button on the side and the thing began to flash a multitude of colors before a single bright beam pointed towards the north exit.

"Guess, we're going that way," I said to myself.​

I walked into the north cave and was greeted by two things: an exit to the north which had sunlight pouring into it, a powerful Typhlosion standing on its hind legs staring at me. It canine-like fangs were bared at me in a growl as the flames on its back burned brighter and cast the entire cave in its warm glow.

"You're standing between me and fresh air, let's do this." I snapped a Pokeball off my waist and summoned forth my Infernape. "Inferanpe, start things off with a Taunt attack followed up by a Rock Tomb."

I had multiple plans of action coursing though my mind, but I would try this one first. As Infernape stared at the fellow fire type a monkey grin started to spread across her face. With a hoot she started dancing up and down and making weird faces at Typhlosion, trying to make it mad so it would only use attacking moves on the Pokemon. She did this for a quick couple of seconds before bending over and placing her hands against the ground and talking in Pokemon language. From her hands a ripple in the earth was seen starting to spread out and head for the Typhlosion.​

Taunt worked. Typhlosion was not furious and out for blood. With a roar that rattled my ears drums, the Fire Pokemon stompled a heavily muscled foot into the ground. Seemingly to pour all its rage into the attack and at my Pokemon. I managed to stay upright from the attack so I saw the Rock Tomb I had ordered Infernape to use spring up from the ground and incase the legs of Typlosion in chunks of stone. After the rumbling ceased I turned to look at infernape. She was bent over leaning on one knee, panting heavily. She was tired, those attacks and Earthquake had sapped a lot of her strength.

"Time for one last attack, Endeavor."

Endeavor was an attack where my Pokemon would create a life-force bond between her and the opposing Pokemon. She would then use that bond to sap strength from Typhlosion and his life force would lower to match her own. Hopefully she had enough energy left to use the attack and maintain concentration.​
