It was a dark rainy day and Joe looked out through the window. He watched every single little droplet of rain fall slowly down the window frame. It was a very boring day in the office because every other single ranger had gone out taking young trainers to exciting warm places to find rare Pokemon, this wasn't the case for Joe.

Joe turned around and flicked he brown mop of hair to the side and looked down at his desk looking at certain pictures his mother gave him. Pictures of when he first became a ranger and also a picture of when he was studying so hard he would go to bed at 3 o'clock in the morning. However there was something in the corner of his eye that caught him. He pushed away some paper work and found a brown folder with the a couple of words written on it. Joe picked it up and opened it. Slowly pulling out the piece of paper Joe knew exactly what it was. A small smile appeared on Joe face as he gradually lifted up the piece of paper.

Joe scanned down the paper and smiled. He was going on a Park Run to the Great Lakes with Timpeni. Joe scanned down more of the page to find out that Timpeni was also a Ranger, this should be fun. Joe quickly grabbed his small black rucksack and hurried off towards the door. On the way out he grabbed three small red and white Pokeballs and continued through the big brown doors which lead to the hallway.

He looked outside wondering if the Trainer was waiting but all he found outside was somebody watering the flowers, When it's raining? He looked to his left and grabbed a large red and white umbrella and some PokeFood, you never know when the could come in handy. Joe stepped out side and waited patiently besides an olden wooden fence.

I walked towards my destination with a large red umbrella in my hands, and my feet sank into the soft mud. The sound of running water started to get louder as I approached The Great Lakes. Mimi, my Vaporeon, danced about in the rain, and tilted her head up to drink the falling water. I smiled as my Pokemon enjoyed itself.

"Remember, Mimi, don't go too hard on the Pokemon you battle if they upset you. We dint want to hurt them to badly." I said, and my Pokemon treated my words as soundless wind. I sighed, and adjusted the necklace I wore, a necklace with two Pokeballs attached to it. Momo, my Togetic, slept peacefully in the ball for the time being before I would let him out. He doesn't like too much rain, not having fully grown out a full waterproof suit of feathers. Momo evolved from Togepi to Togetic extraordinarily fast, and as a result he was still a baby. Mimi envied Togetic for his fast evolution and the fact that he could fly, so the two would not get along on a team battle.

Suddenly, I noticed the Great Lakes was not too far in front of me. I quickened my pace and noticed a lady watering the flowers- why would she water flowers in the rain?- and another ranger, standing outside with a red-and-white umbrella. I approached him and he greeted me politely.

"Hello, I'm Timpeni. This is Mimi." I said to the man, and Mimi suddenly shrieked. I turned my back and noticed the lady was gone.

"Did... did you see a lady watering the flowers just now?" I asked the man, my face turning pale. I have heard of ghost stories congregating around the National Park, but I've never experienced it for myself.

Joe looked across into the distance and saw a young person holding a red umbrella. The closer Joe looked he could also see a Vaporeon trying to catch the rain drop's in it's mouth. Joe smiled and walked towards the trainer and her Pokemon. Joe slowly walked through the soft mud trying not to get most of his trousers muddy and walked towards the Trainer.

Joe noticed something that caught his eye, she looked to the left of him and noticed the same gardener as he did. She turned around greeted Joe, "Hello, I'm Timpeni. This is Mimi."

"I am Joe Smith, but you can call me Joe, Well it says here that you are off to the Great Lakes. I have a question to ask you before, what kind of Pokemon are you looking to catch?" Joe asked and looked down at Vaporeon, who seemed to be enjoying the rain. Joe turned around to look for the Gardener but when he turned round she was gone. Joe turned back and noticed that Timpeni had also turned around, Joe began to speak but Timpeni managed to say something before him.

"Did... did you see a lady watering the flowers just now?" She said. Never heard off Ghost before at the Ranger Docks

Joe turned around said, "What kind of transport would you like to take, there is the Jeep, the teleporter or we can walk but that can take a lot of time?"

"I... think I'll take the teleporter." I said, still mildly freaked out. The expression on Mimi's face was surprise and fear, but she soon shook it off forcibly to look brave in front of the trainer, which she likes to do.

"Oh, and I would like to catch maybe some rare fish Pokemon, like a Feebas, or maybe a more cuter variety, like Luvdisk." I said. Soon, me and my ranger were headed off towards the teleporter. A blue, shimmering light glowed above it, and I knew exactly how to use it. Mimi, not liking the teleporter since the days when she was an Eevee and I was just learning to become a ranger, pulled on my skirt. I got the message and called her back into her Pokeball before walking into the light the same time as Joe.

"The Great Lakes." I said clearly, and I felt my body shift a move, and I felt like I was splitting apart again, but without pain. I opened my eyes to be greeted at the sight of a grand body of water, the rain falling on the surface. Ripples of water was mixed in both the movement of Pokemon and water droplets penetrating the water. I let out Mimi again, who immediately dived into the water, disappearing into it. I called for her again, and a blob of water rose from the lake, before forming into the shape of a Vaporeon. The blob of water jumped onto the wet ground and materialized into an opaque Vaporeon, who was visibly annoyed.

"Don't run off so suddenly." I said, and petted Mimi. She rolled her eyes and looked at the vast area of water in longing.

"I... think I'll take the teleporter." She said and then looked down towards her Vaporeon, who seemed to be scared by the teleporter.

We started to walk towards the teleporter and then Timpeni suddenly turned around and replied to my question, which was what kind of Pokemon do you want to meet?

"Oh, and I would like to catch maybe some rare fish Pokemon, like a Feebas, or maybe a more cuter variety, like Luvdisk." She said with a smile on her face. They walked closer to the teleporter and then suddenly Timpeni ran ahead and stood in the teleporter. Joe looked down at Timpeni's Vaporeon and noticed that it didn't want to go into the teleporter. Joe caught up with her and watched her calmly talk into the teleporter.

    "The Great Lakes."

Joe closed his eyes and felt very weird. Teleporting felt like being pushed through the tightness gap, you can hardly feel you stomach and you loose control of your mind. Within seconds they stopped and Joe slowly opened his eyes and marveled at the sight in front of him. Joe watched as small fish leaped in and out of the water. He looked across towards the rocks where a group of Seel were sunbathing. Joe remembered why he wanted to become a Ranger and it was because of this.

Joe turned back to Timpeni and noticed that she let out her Vaporeon after the bumpy ride. Vaporeon suddenly ran towards the water and dived into the cool refreshing lake. Joe watched Timpeni run towards the Lake's edge and call for her Vaporeon. Timpeni called back her Vaporeon and watched it leap from the water and land onto the ground with the water suddenly evaporating because it's so hot.

"Don't run off so suddenly." She said and pointed her finger towards Vaporeon. Vaporeon looked annoyed but obeyed it mistress and carried on walking beside her.

Ahead of them was a little path which lead to a great little lake which is suppose to hold very rare Pokemon. Joe followed the path and decided to let out his own Pokemon, so that they could enjoy the nice warm sun. Joe grabbed a small red and white ball from his pocket and threw it into the air. From the flash appeared a small baby Pokemon. It opened its mouth and gave a yawn and then began to smile as it looked at Joe. Joe had been given this young Azurill by a old women in a day care center, to make the story short after saving the day care she gave him an egg which hatched into this Azurill. As soon as Joe finished his sentence a huge fish with butterfly like wings leaped out of the lake and splashed water all over Timpeni and Joe.

"Looks like this Lumineon wants a battle? Do you want to battle it?" Joe asked Timpeni.

OOC: I got Surf for Vaporeon. Could you add it? Oh, and the Lumineon is female.

In front of me was a path towards the Great Lakes, also reknown for the large amount of Feebas and Milotic sightings. I spotted a tail of a Milotic here once, but that was pretty much it. I turned my attention to the fact the rain has stopped. I closed my umbrella and held onto it, making sure it did not trail in the still soft mud. Pokemon played in the now warmer weathers. A ray of sunlight shone on a group of Seels. Mimi dashed to join them, but I grabbed her.

"No, Mimi... you don't want to be squished again..." I said. Although the Seels were elegant and gentle creatures, sometimes, they just get careless. And I didn't want the past to repeat itself again. Mimi forced herself out of my grip and followed me reluctantly.

I watched as Joe released his own Pokemon, a tiny Azurill. It had a beautiful smile on its tiny, blue face as it looked at Joe. Mimi approached it slowly, eager to get the know the little blue ball. Joe explained how he got the little Pokemon, and I listened eagerly. He said he saved the daycare center and got the Azurill as an egg from the daycare lady as thanks. However, before I could say anything, a splash came from the water, wetting my suit. The Pokemon's dark blue wings glimmered in the sunlight. The Lumineon looked at us, expecting a battle to come.

"Looks like this Lumineon wants a battle. Do you want to battle it?" Joe said.

"Yes, I would like to." I said before thinking up a stream of moves to attack the fish with. I decided on one combination, but I was a bit unsure if it would work. Mimi had a short attention span.

"Mimi, as we practiced. A Quick Attack, then bite the Lumineon. Finish off by performing Aqua Ring, just in case," I said to Mimi, and whispered something else into Mimi's ear. "And stop dodging water moves to annoy me."

Joe watched to the elegant Lumineon dance around on the waters edge trying to taunt Timpeni to battle it. Joe turned to Timpeni awaiting an answer.

"Yes, I would like to." She said and then began to wonder what kind of move she should use. Lumineon is a powerful Pokemon and water types are not going to effective her. Joe then suddenly spotted something, Lumineon fins were larger than a normal Lumineon he had seen. Joe rushed into his bag and brought a small blue notepad and started to flick through the pages. He stopped on a certain page and scanned his finger down the page. When his finger stopped Joe gave out a sigh of relief.

"How to spot Genders: Lumineon has a larger fins compared to a male Lumineon" Joe said reading out from the book.

Joe turned around and noticed Timpeni had stopped thinking and began to give a command to Vaporeon, who was sitting on the ground looking into the blue cloudy sky.

"Mimi, as we practiced. A Quick Attack, then bite the Lumineon. Finish off by performing Aqua Ring, just in case," Timpeni ordered and Vaporeon nodded.

Vaporeon began to pick up speed by using Quick Attack, zigzagging from one place to another with a white beam following her. Vaporeon leaped into the air and directed it's fall towards Lumineon. As soon as Vaporeon was close to Lumineon wing, she began to sink her shaped white teeth into Lumineon wing. Lumineon began to cry and started dive underwater. Vaporeon looked around to find the submerged Lumineon but didn't have any luck and started to use Aqua Ring. Large rings of water appeared all over Vaporeon, who was now floating above the water.

Suddenly Lumineon erupted from the lake's surface and was sent into the air. Vaporeon looked up at the flying fish and then began to watch as Lumineon fell towards her. From a distance it looked like a comet was going to hit the Vaporeon but if you looked closer you could see the face of Lumineon. Lumineon rocketed down and hit Vaporeon and sent her underwater. Vaporeon swam back up the surface and began to stare into Lumineon eyes.

    OOC: What is Lumineon's Nature?

Mimi's face ended up stuck in the mud after the Lumineon hit her with a hard Bounce. I pulled her out and I could tell she was now fuming. Mimi had a short fuse; a very short one. And when it was burned out she went crazy. I decided to immediately switch Mimi with my white, flying Normal-Type, Momo.

"Mimi, come back." I said, and Mimi was getting ready to pounce on Lumineon when she glowed and was sucked back into her ball. Then, out came my Togetic. He yawned and stretched his arms (and wings). At the sight of the foe, he nodded a bit, still in a delusional state. After rubbing his eyes a bit, he realized he was going to battle. Momo flew by my side and awaited my orders.

"Momo, use Sweet Kiss to confuse Lumineon. And then, use Metronome. I have no idea what is going to pop up in your mind, but I'm sure it won't hurt to try." I said. Momo nodded, and put on the sweetest, cutesy little face imaginable, making the Lumineon wonder if something was going to turn weird. Then, it approached the Lumineon, and kissed it quickly, before it could react. I just hoped the Lumineon would be confused by Momo's actions.

But before I knew, Momo was wracking his brain and finding one move randomly in his mind. I prayed it would not cripple me terribly.

    OCC: Nature is Hardy

Joe looked at both of the Pokemon and noticed that Mimi was very angry at Lumineon. Talk about a short fuse. Timpeni grabbed Vaporeon out of the water and placed of on the grass bank.

"It looks like she is saving Mimi determination and power for later" Joe said to himself and then looked down at Azurill who was sleeping like a baby. Joe then turned and watch Timpeni grab a small white PokeBall from her waist and pointed it towards the Vaporeon. After returning Mimi, she grabbed another PokeBall and threw it high into the air. A white flash appeared from the ball and a small fairy type Pokemon appeared. It was Togetic and started to stretch it's arms and it's wings after going into a long sleep. It flew down and hovered beside Timpeni side awaiting orders.

"Momo, use Sweet Kiss to confuse Lumineon" Timepni said and watched Momo flew towards Lumineon and began to wink and began to blow some kisses towards Lumineon. The small pinkish red hearts gently made its way towards Lumineon and hit the fish Pokemon. Lumineon began to look around in circles and looking above his head at the small little yellow ducks floating in an anti-clockwise motion around her head.

"Look's like it is confused now is your chance!" Joe said to Timpeni and she nodded and said to Tegetic, "Use Metronome. I have no idea what is going to pop up in your mind, but I'm sure it won't hurt to try."

Togetic nodded and began to close it's eyes to think of a move to hurt Lumineon, however Lumineon shacked it's head and opened it's mouth and produced a small blue ball of water and fired it towards Togetic. Before the impact, the small blue ball expanded and turned into a spiral of water about to hit Togetic. This was Water Pulse, a move that could cause confusion. The attack hit Togetic hard and he was sent back a couple of meters before firing a powerful yellow beam towards Lumineon. Was that Charge Beam?

Both Pokemon looked very hurt after those attacks and Lumineon was still confused but managed to break free and fire a another blue ball into the air. This time it stayed in it's shaped and disappeared into the light gray clouds above Joe's head. Suddenly the colour of the clouds changed and became a darker gray. Joe felt a rain drop it the tip of his nose and looked up. It was raining, which would help Lumineon as it's ability is Swift Swim.

    What would Timpeni do next?

The rain dropped on Momo, who got a little annoyed, but it was hard to get the little Pokemon's spirit down. Also, the Water Pulse that Lumineon used throughly drenched its body. But even though Momo was displeased at his wet feathers weighing his body down, it still clapped for Lumineon. It was a habit of his to clap for anyone who hit any Pokemon with a move, one I observed when Momo was a Togepi. I brought him to a match, and he clapped whenever Mimi hit the opponent and the opponent hit Mimi, which made Mimi practically hate Momo on the spot for clapping for the 'enemy'.

"Okay, Momo, try Yawn." I said, and Momo nodded. He took in a large, deep breath, and yawned. I heard yawning was contagious. After Momo accidentally used the move on me, I believed it was true, although the perfumed breathe may play a part too.

A pink cloud floated towards Lumineon, who breathed it in. The calming aroma entered its gills, and it started to relax. I hoped that the move would work.

The rain fell down and hit Joe on his head, the raindrops slowly made it's way down his face and landed on the floor. Joe quickly grabbed the Umbrella and held it up to protect both Azurill and himself from the cold wet rain.

Joe looked over at Togetic and noticed that it clapped after being attacked by Water Pulse, why would it clap?

"Okay, Momo, try Yawn." Timpeni said and looked towards Togetic, who stopped clapping and now focused on the battle. However Lumineon struck first and immediately flapped his wings creating a silver thin waves and directed them towards Momo. The small waves sliced through the rain and hit Momo hard. As Togetic was failing to the ground she opened her mouth and produced a pink cloud and targeted it towards Lumineon. Togetic crashed on the floor and watched the large pink cloud being breathed in by Lumineon through the silk fins. Joe watched on wondering what would happen?

"Momo, are you okay?" I asked my Pokemon. He got up and rubbed his eyes, adjusting back his vision after hitting his head hard on the ground. He noticed that the Lumineon started to yawn. The fish's eyelids got heavy and each blink was longer. Momo, being a bit more confident, got up. He looked at me and awaited my command.

"Okay, Momo, use your Magical Leaf! Try not to be too hard, though. You don't want to hurt it too much." I said, but I didn't think Momo needed reminding, unlike Mimi. He was still clapping, making Lumineon more confused than it already was. Of course, that wasn't what he was aiming to do...

Momo closed his eyes. A large, sharp leaf circled him, gaining speed slowly but steadily. The edge of the leaf grew sharper than before. Momo then raised his arms, and the leaf spun towards the Lumineon at light speed, who was then preparing to use a move. I knew Magical Leaf had a high accuracy, but I knew it could still miss. I gulped and hoped for the best.*

Joe looked towards Momo and wondered if the Young Pokemon was alright? Then Momo flapped it's small white wings and raised itself from the ground and flew back into battle. It stopped and began to clap his hands. Joe smiled and looked down at Azurill, who was fast asleep by listening to the rain drops drip down from the end of the red Umbrella.

"Okay, Momo, use your Magical Leaf! Try not to be too hard, though. You don't want to hurt it too much." Timpeni said as she watched Momo dance around in the sky. Momo stopped and began to wave his wings up and down to create leaves from nothing. He cried out loud and throw the leaves towards Lumineon. The leaves slashed the smooth skin of Lumineon before evaporating in mid air.

Lumineon was about to move before she gave out a loud yawn, it looks like the move had worked. The rain was still coming down and Momo began to clap again. Joe smiled and turned back to the intense battle.

The Lumineon fell asleep on the soft mud, and I smiled. I looked at Momo and told him to use another Magical Leaf. Now that the battle was almost over, I could hear the pitter patter of the raindrops as they hit the lake's surface.

I took the Hyperball out of my bag, and hoped that the Lumineon would be captured. I waited till Momo executed the move before I would throw the ball. If Momo somehow misses, I wouldn't throw it at all- the 50-50 chance was too much for me now, knowing how unlucky I am.

The leaf spun around Momo before spinning towards the sleeping Lumineon. I gulped and hoped for the best, my hand tightening the grip on the blue ball. I came to the Great Lakes for water Pokemon, any kind. This Lumineon was one of them.

Joe watched as Timpeni grabbed a small ball from her bag and watched it enlarge in her hand. The cool wet rain drops hit Timpeni hand and Pokeball. Lumineon was no lying of the mud but it still did have a lot of energy left to battle.

Joe watched as Timpeni launched the Hyper Ball towards the immobilized Lumineon. The ball hit the silver fin of Lumineon and then she was covered in a red beam. The red beam then was sucked into the Hyper ball. The ball rolled across the slippy surface of the ground and wobbled side to side.

The was a dead silence and both Joe and Timpeni were watching the rolling ball. If you were closer to Joe, you could hear the sound of his heart pumping blood throughout his body and the loud noise of Joe exhaling fresh carbon dioxide.

The ball stopped and then click, Joe looked over at Timpeni and saw a sigh of relief. Joe slowly walked over to the ball and picked it up and placed it in the small black bag which he had been holding.

"Well looks like you have caught a very powerful Lumineon, So want to find any more Pokemon?" Joe asked

I did a 'whoop' after the Hyperball emitted a familiar clinking sound. The Lumineon was mine! Looks like I'm moderately lucky, at least for now. I heard Joe's question, and nodded.

"Oh, of course. I still have two Hyperballs and two more Pokemon permits." I said, and soon, we were walking across the river, my umbrella above my head yet again. I sent Momo back in his ball and decided to use this time to take in the scenery. Trees, sometimes with beautiful flowers, grew in the fertile soil next to the lake. I noticed a fin peeking out of the lake before gracefully disappearing. I leaned over to see an distorted outline of a body, with the raindrops forming unwanted ripples. I sighed and continued on with Joe.

The lake started to get a bit slower here, but the water was still crashing into rocks instead of meandering around them, so it's not that slow.I looked out for any Pokemon in the waters. Hopefully it's not a Bibarel. I hate Bibarels, ever since one stuck its square shaped teeth into me...

Joe walked on down the narrow path ahead of them. It was quiet amazing how one little path could open up a whole new opportunity to battle different types of Pokemon. Joe looked ahead and noticed a little forest which the path head to. Joe smiled and continued walking.

"So How did you obtain Vaporeon?" Joe asked Timpeni. It looked like they had a very strong bond together as Trainer and Pokemon. Joe turned around and noticed little river that flowed along the path's edge. It looked like the river reached a small lake further in the woods.

Joe followed the path along the river, it was still sunny with the odd little raindrop falling from the trees. Joe smiled and looked down at Azurill who seemed be fast asleep.

They followed the path to the lake and Joe noticed all sorts of wildlife that had been living here. Suddenly from behind us was a small little Poliwag.

"Aww, Hello Poliwag" Joe then turned to Timpeni and asked if she wanted to battle the Poliwag.

"I found Mimi- sorry, Vaporeon as an Eevee. She was stuck to a tree by a rope tied to a tail. I untied her and fed her, and no matter what I did I couldn't shake her off my tail, so I just took her in before she did something stupid, which I see she tends to do." I said, and Mimi's ball shook, maybe to say she wasn't acting stupid.

"Okay... maybe foolhardy is the right word." I said, and Mimi's ball shook even more.

Just then, I noticed a Poliwag in front of us. I shook my head. "No thanks. I'm not really interested."

"No thanks. I'm not really interested." Timpeni replied, I guess its fair but who wouldn't want this cute little pokemon.

Joe felled sorry for the little guy as it only wanted to be owned, its what most Pokemon here want to be. They must be sick being lonely with nothing to do. Joe remembered an incident when a little Diglett lost it's mother due to a trainer. It was so lonely it wanted to be caught. It was a good thing it was captured by a trainer not so long ago.

Joe began to walk on towards the exit of the when suddenly he heard a little noise behind him. Joe quickly turned around and noticed the small little Poliwag, waggling its little tail almost like it wants a battle.

"Well it looks like this little guy wants to battle" Joe said as he looked at Timpeni.

"Well, if it really wants a fight, than it's a fight it gets." I said. Maybe I could train the Poliwag into a Politoed. Maybe. I didn't prefer most of the Poliwag family, but Politoed was quite decent. Maybe if I owned one, I would like them more. If that was the case, then I would definitely capture the cute little guy.

Why did it want to be captured, anyway? Maybe it was lonely, or it wanted to travel the world, like what most Pokemon with trainers do. But then again, how would it know that trainers tour around the planet, or at least a region? Maybe a trainer came back here, and his Pokemon told the ones here about its adventures. Though, the Poliwag did look lonely. If so, than, I would provide a home for the small tadpole that can't yet walk too well.

"Go, Momo!" I said, and the ball contacted with the soft mud, before sending out my Togetic. My Pokemon rubbed his eyes and yawned, having accustomed to sleeping while in a Pokeball, instead of simply slipping out of consciousness. Momo focused his eyes on the Poliwag, and nodded, before flying over to my side.

"Okay, Momo. I want you to perform Sweet Kiss, than Yawn!" I said, and Momo was soon winking at Poliwag. Then, after a 'Muah' sound, little flying hearts flew out of his mouth and hit Poliwag. Not long after, it was followed by a cloud of perfumed serenity. No one could resist feeling sleepy in it- in fact, now I felt a bit drowsy. I just hoped one of these moves have worked.
