Individual RP: Timpeni

"Uh... no thanks." Timpeni said, but Wooper had over ideas and started to fire more rays of water. Joe pushed Timpeni out of the way of the water and ordered Gyra to distract Wooper so Joe could find another way round.

"Gyra use Aqua Tail on the ground to create shock waves to distract the Wooper while I think of something" Joe ordered and then watched as Gyarados huge tail glowed blue and smashed on the grassy ground which Wooper was standing on. The impact created a massive tremor making the Wooper unable to think. Then Joe grabbed another Pokeball and threw it in the air. "Infernape use Protect around us so we can think of something" Joe shouted at the Infernape which appeared from the flash. It nodded and created a green shield around Joe and Timpeni.

"We should be safe here for now, You don't possible have any idea out of this?" Joe asked Timpeni

Great. Of course the Wooper attacked- it's just my luck that it did. Joe immediately commanded his Pokemon to move. The Gyarados Gyra coated its tail in water before beating it on the floor next to the Wooper. Joe then commanded Infernape, which he sent out, to use Protect, and soon we were covered in a protective field with a currently traumatized Wooper. I told my Pokemon what to do.

"Mimi, use Haze to distract Wooper. Then, I'll use a Pokedoll to hit the Wooper. May I purchase a Pokedoll?" I said to Joe.

Momo stepped out from the Protective Shield and walked towards Wooper. She opened her mouth and produced a gray gas around Wooper's head. Wooper suddenly looked dizzy and began to walk around like it was confused. That wasn't the effect of Haze but at least it's distracted him.

Joe quickly pulled a small Bulbasaur wind-up toy. He wound it up and and released it towards the Wooper. The small Bulbasaur ran past the Wooper and into the forest behind him. Wooper caught sight of it and charged off trying to chase after it.

"Well it looks like we wont be seeing that Wooper again" Joe joked and walked towards the lake's surface, "Ready to go surfing?" Joe asked Timpeni.

Timpeni nodded and leaped onto Mimi's back and followed the lead of Joe and his Gyarados. The swiftly glided over the lake's surface when suddenly Joe noticed some bubble's appear from the water ahead. Then Joe began to hear sounds of Pokemon and looked around frantically. Then suddenly a small lobster like Pokemon surfaced and stared towards Mimi and Timpeni.

"Corrpish" Cried the lobster Pokemon.

"Looks like the Corpish wants to battle, if you do accept you can sit on Gyra whilst command your Pokemon" Joe said to Timpeni.

The escape was a success. We got away from the Wooper quite easily, and I was hanging on to Mimi's tail as she swam. Her speed and agility enabled me to stay of water, or at least simply skid it on the liquid.

That was when the crab Pokemon appeared, poking through the waves. Joe asked me if I wanted it. I shook my head.

"Er... no, not really. I don't think I want a Corphish." I said to Joe. I just wanted to get to the small island in the middle of the humongous lake and see what was there. I put my hand into my pocket, ready to extract my money if needed- but hopefully not.

 

"Er... no, not really. I don't think I want a Corphish." Timpeni said to Joe.

Joe smiled and moved on closer towards the island, it looked like the Corphish didn't even want to battle as it just dived back down into the water. The group carried on surfing through the calm water of the Lake. Joe looked into the lake and saw loads of Goldeen swimming around in groups. It was quiet amazing that we live in a world full of magnificent creatures.

Soon enough we reached the Island, Joe grabbed Gyra Pokeball and returned the huge fish Pokemon. Joe and Timpeni were about to walk further ahead when the saw a small light brown shell on the floor. It was a Squirtle shell.

"Want to battle this Squirtle?" Joe asked Timpeni

Gah, where were all the Pokemon I wanted? I don't like Squirtles, or anything that has a hard shell in particular- I don't want to be reminded of the painful day including the sport of Squirtle Bowling. Several Squirtles playfully skidded off the mountain near my home and hit me square on the head. Ow...

"I'd rather not to battle a Squirtle, thanks." I said to Joe, and adjusted back to stepping on land again. Wow, this was a dainty little island. I wonder what kind of amazing Pokemon it hides inside the thick vegetation it possessed...

 

"I'd rather not to battle a Squirtle, thanks." Timpeni said to Joe. The group slowly tiptoed round the sleeping Squritle to avoid waking it up. After the tiptoed round it the ventured further into the forest. Joe walked through the tiny dirt track which was surrounded by shrub layers and wild plants.

Suddenly through a small clearing in the forest Joe noticed a small Krabby starting to pick up a small shell and crack it in his small hands.

"Would you like to battle this Krabby" Joe said to Timpeni

"Hm... I don't think so." I said, seeing the little krab- er, crab- trying to crack the little shell to reveal the succulent juices inside. It picked it up with its pincer and slammed it against a rock on the ground. Again. Again. Trying again. Finally, a cracking sound was heard, and the Krabby was happily eating the clam meat. I didn't want to disturb the little Pokemon. Though, if it wanted a fight, well, I could definitely give it one. Er, actually, I think I'll just throw a Pokedoll if it attacked.

 

Hm... I don't think so." Timpeni said, Joe nodded in agreement and slowly walk away from the dueling Krabby. Joe walked across the coastline examining the views from this small island. They weren't even high but Joe could see a lot from this small island. A small breeze brushed Joe's hair back and blew off his cap. Joe quickly turned around and chased after the black and white baseball cap his mother gave him before passing away, it was something Joe took great care in. The cap flew up and down, picking up more wind as it fell closer to the ground.

Soon after a while, the wind slowly disappeared and the cap was lying next to a small pond. Joe quickly bent down and picked up the hat before a splash of water appeared from the pond. A small baby manta ray appeared from the pond and gave a small cry.

"Mantykeeee!"

"Wow a Mantyke, would you like to battle this Pokemon" Joe asked Timpeni whilst straightening his cap.

"Uh... nah, I can get one from the Pokemon Market." I said. I had my eyes on maybe a Wailmer, or a Qwilfish. Maybe I'll bump into one of them. That will be a battle for me. But Mantyke... eh. I could wait till I got my wages and popped by the mart. Not only would it waste my Pokemon's energy and a Hyperball, it would get me out of the run, having run out of Pokeballs. In case it decided to attack, I put my hand in my pocket and gripped the money I had. Now, how much did I have left? Er... well, if I run out, I hope I brought emergency money.

 

"Uh... nah, I can get one from the Pokemon Market." Timpeni said before moving away from the lake. Joe wondered if they would see anymore rare pokemon on this island. However after an hour searching the only Pokemon they found were sleeping Squirtles and cute Poliwags.

Joe walked towards the shore again and looked out into the deep waters. Timpeni walked beside him and they just stopped and stared into the distance. Joe noticed a black silhouette gracefully swim across the lake's surface and then turning towards the group. Joe eye's gleamed as he began to wonder what Pokemon it would be. Suddenly the black silhouette erupted from the lakes water and into the air.

"Want to battle this.... umm well Magikarp?" Joe asked Timpeni

"Magikarp..." I have read a very disturbing book by accident in my childhood which has altered my view on Magikarp my entire life. It looked pathetic flailing in the pond, but my paranoia told me otherwise. I muttered several undesicive words and simply pulled Joe along, away from Magikarp. The story definitely did not contain a grain of truth, but whatever. I wasn't rsking it anyway. My lifelong fear of the red fih will remain.

 

All Timpeni said was "Magikarp..." Joe watched as her face grew pale like the lakes water's colour. Timpeni began to mutter words to herself and then grabbed Joe's arm before whisking him away from the Magirkap. However the Magikarp had other ideas and began to follow them around the Island. Joe stopped and asked Timpeni why she was so afraid of Magikarp's.

The Margikarp floated above the water and tried to look all innocent, trying to copy the puppy eyes. Fortunately it didn't work and made it even more uglier.

"Wow, That's ugly, I think it won't leave you alone" Joe replied

I silently lunged at the money in my pocket like a cheetah chases its prey (only faster). I grabbed 500 dollars and handed it to my ranger.

"Ridiculous as it may seem, an author has made a very good personification of Magikarp, and I read the book which he did so. It's called Speaking the Karp. I recommend you don't read it." I said. A few Magikarp, hatched inside a person's voice box and lived of scraps of food entering its mouth. One stayed behind as his still microscopic brothers and sisters leapt out as the human leaned over a pond, it learned the human language- and killed its host. I shuddered as the rest of the story went on- secret society, mass murderer, gentleman in disguise and its sudden animalization when it evolved.

Joe listened to Timpeni story about why she is so afraid of Magikarps. Towards the end of the story, Joe didn't want to read Speaking the Karp, however there was something deep down inside that wanted him to pick up the book and scan through it.

Joe accepted the 500 dollars and grabbed a small Magikarp doll and threw it into the lake. The doll was designed to sink and so the Magikarp would dive down for a quick getaway.

"I think we should head back, it's getting pretty dark and soon all the Pokemon will go to sleep" Joe said as he released Gyarados into the lake a jumped aboard. Suddenly a red fin appeared in the horizon and continued to move towards the group. The red fin was slowly raised from the water and a small crocodile pokemon appeared.

"Wow, Want to battle a Croconaw ?" Joe asked Timpeni

"Er... no thanks." I liked my Pokemon still in basic form: I could train them better from young. Of course, Lumineon was evolved, but that doesn't count- I forgot they has a pre evolution at that time. Anyway, no Croconow for me. Yes, I was hard to please. So be it. I had several Pokemon on my list, arranged in my own particular order much different from most. So, for now, I would look solely for the perfect members of my team. My own team, my own strategies, whether they worked well I don't know yet, and I tend to make sure I do in the near future.

 

"Er... no thanks." Timpeni said as the large red fin zoomed into sight. Joe tried to move out of Croconaw way and hopefully it would just carry on swimming. It didn't and suddenly turned to the right and smacked into Gyarados. Gyarados was flipped over and Joe plummeted down into the warm lake waters. Joe tried to find Gyarados Pokeball, however the button mechanism didn't work when it had been in water. Joe quickly swam over to Gyarados and looked at the large bruise. "Timpeni, you need to battle the Croconaw or find another way of escaping" Joe cried out to Timpeni.

"Gah," I said. I released Mimi again, who was getting itchy feet in her ball. "Now listen, Mimi. This Croconaw isn't what I'm after. Do one of our escape moves. Use Quick Attack to encircle Croconaw, and then kick sand into its eyes as you run- sand attack. While its distracted, I'll use a Pokedoll to hit it on the head. The combination of both should be sufficient. If the Croconaw dodges your Sand Attacks, pump out some Haze."

Mimi was slightly(very) disappointed at the fact she couldn't attack the Croconaw, but at least she got some time to stretch her legs. She sprinted in the mud, flinging the wet soil at Croconaw as she ran. Quick Attack was so fast, in addition to webbed feet, Mimi had the ability of walking on water. The lake water would not stop this Vaporeon.

"I think you heard the plan. So... can I buy one Pokedoll?" I said.

Vaporeon began to dance around Croconaw in circle's trying to confuse the small crocodile pokemon. Then with her webbed feet, Vaporeon began to splash water on the Croconaw, in order to distract it. Joe swiftly gave Timpeni a small Pokedoll for her to throw at the Croconaw. She chucked the doll towards the Croconaw and watched as he began to tear it to pieces. "Let's go" Joe said to Timpeni as the got on Gyarados's back and headed in the opposite direction of Croconaw.

As the glided through the lake Joe turned to Timpeni and asked "What has been the highlight of the run? As we are nearly at the exit again" As Joe said this Gyarados crashed into a large fish type Pokemon. It was a Whiscash.

"Do you want to battle this Whiscash?" Joe asked Timpeni

I sat on Gyra, my feet gliding through the water. "What has been the highlight of the run? As we are nearly at the exit again." Joe said. It was a bit sad for the run to end now, really. Even though we stayed at the Ranger Base and could see each other often, it was pretty hard to get a run together again. It was... enjoyable, definitely. A bit crazy, in fact. I liked crazy. I was always hyperactive, and always messing things up. I nearly failed my test run because I accidentally fell into the lake and got stuck in the rocks.

"I think the highlight... well, I can't decide yet. I'll think about it." I said. That was when a jolt went through my body. I peered over and saw a large fish, a bit dazed. Its majestic whiskers and round eyes was quite cute, though its mouth was big enough to swallow me whole. Its sleek, blue body was smooth, not slimy. It was quite hard to get a grip on, though. Its tail was full of muscles, and could knock my a few meters in one tough swing. That's a lot if you count the water pressure. Or was it resistance? The dorsal fin on the top was spotted with three circle, not squares. This meant it was a female. I should know. Of all people, I should know.

Whishcash. Ah, the Pokemon which made my childhood enjoyable. Though it seemed large and stupid, it was certainly a very caring Pokemon by species, thought nature might alter the personality a bit. The Whishcash have a notorious reputation for being very territorial. I knew better. The Pokemon I played with at first was definitely prone to creating tremors, but after a week, it warmed up to me. They were useful in battle too. They are rated the top 188th Pokemon among all Pokemon in terms of stats. If it was Oblivious, it couldn't be affected by the move Attract. If it had Anticipation, it could warn us when the opponent knows a Grass move. They are very susceptible to grass, but not so much to any other types. It was a the Water Pokemon to use against Vermilion Gym one day. Maybe. Once I train it up and teach it a lot of moves, of course. I wanted this beauty of a beast. This would be the last addition to my team on this run- I would make sure of it.

"I know the highlight of the run now. I would like this Whishcash, please. It reminds me of the time I was living around a swamp." I said, letting out Momo again. The little Pokemon opened its eyes to see the presence of the large fish. It seemed a bit surprised at the Gyarados crashing into it, but it was none worse for wear. Momo was a good choice for this battle- he was flying, so ground-type moves like Fissure and the like, which Whishcash is infamous for, won't effect it. I knew way too much about Whishcash, and I was proud of it. My childhood would be spent staring at the ceiling of my thatched cabin if not for the Whishcash. Day and night, my parents scrapped enough pennies and tried to send me to a cheapo school, a very futile attempt. Had it been legal for me to work at such a young age, I would have. It would have limited my family's plague of poverty. However, if I did work, I wouldn't have met the Whishcash near the swamp. The cramped wooden cabin was built just a few meters from the swamp. I would ride on Whishcash everyday, with nothing to fear, for only Whishcash lived in that swamp. Apart from the hammocks which made a good dinner, of course. I used the hammocks as a way of being able to play with Whishcash, with the promise of bringing back the fish. I always returned unbelievably filthy.

"Momo, please use Charm, and then use Wish, just in case. Put yourself in a Magical Leaf Ball, too. Remember what we practiced, let the Magical Leaf encircle you. That way, the Whishcash can't use a physical move without being cut by the leaves." I said. Momo nodded and summoned the leaves. I looked at the Whishcash. Momo stood on Gyra, performing his moves. Thinking of the day the Pokemon disappeared suddenly drove my thirst for a Pokemon journey. And that was how I found Mimi as an Eevee, as I was making my way towards the PokeMart to buy Pokeballs. She was tied to a tree, I couldn't leave her alone.
