"Momo, please use Charm, and then use Wish, just in case. Put yourself in a Magical Leaf Ball, too. Remember what we practiced, let the Magical Leaf encircle you. That way, the Whiscash can't use a physical move without being cut by the leaves." Timpeni ordered Momo.

Momo slowly hovered inches above the water and suddenly became cloaked in a shiny skin. Joe watched as the small white Pokemon looked a lot more charming than usual. Maybe the Whishcash wont attack with a lot of power now. Momo, now sparkling in the cool wind, began to close his eyes and slowly a small yellow aura appeared around him. It was a sight to see with the sparkles of Charm and then the yellow Aura of wish. The small yellow aura rose in the air and slowly sat above Momo's head.

Joe quickly looked over to Whiscash, who was now looking over at Timpeni, suddenly lifted his fins and rotated them in anti-clockwise motion. A small ball of water was produced and fired towards Momo direction. The small water ball slowly dispersed and smack Momo. Momo quickly crashed into the water and crashed against the small river bank. It quickly rose into the air and produced a bunch of leaves and surrounded it's with them. Then tucked into a ball and plummeted towards the large blue fish Pokemon. Whiscash took quiet a lot of damage from that attack, but still managed to shake it off before producing multiple copies of it self. Momo looked around at the vast amount of Whiscash's in the lake.

"Timpeni, you need control Momo before it get's confused and doesn't listen to you. Try finding the cause of the Whiscash" Joe said to Timpeni as she leaned closer towards the battle.

The moves were executed perfectly- not surprising. Momomwas a special Pokemon. He seemed to not be listening to me during practice, looking to his left or right and nodding silently even when I'm not talking. But this was simply a weird quirk it had. It absorbed in everything, and even if it didn't get it on its first try, it would soon. The Togetic was also a bit absent minded at times, and messing up horribly- like when the time the Magical Leaf struck my head. Perhaps it was the lack of preparation or the fact it was still a baby. Or it was hungry. It always lost its concentration when it was hungry. I should have brought a poffin or two. He would have liked that as a snack.

I watched as Momo changed his facial features to place an innocent look on his face. His eyes sparkled in the sunlight, and Whiscash was now rethinking how it would attack Momo. As Momo charmed*Whiscash, his fur glowed, a metallic shine flashing throughout his body before the shine formed a yellow, glowing aura around Momo. The sparkles of Charm and the beautiful misty aura of Wish combined perfectly into a cloak of admiralty. The leaves, skimmed through the water, reflected the shine. Now,*Whiscash was shaking. It was his ability Anticipation was in action. Now, its sense of fear took over its hesitation of attacking such a cute Pokemon. The water rose from the lake, before being shaped into a circular ball like Playdoh. Momo stared at the transparent ball of liquid before it rushed at him at full speed. Momo was sent flying backwards, and I heard a soft crunch on the rocks as he slammed against the banks of the river. Ouch.

"Momo, can you here me?" I said, walking over to my Pokemon. That was when it suddenly attacked the Whiscash Magical Leaf. Perhaps the bump on its head made Momo quite a hit more hostile than his normal level. Either that, or he was surprised by the attack, and his natural instinct took over. Whiscash groaned, the leaves easily penetrating Whiscash's normally invulnerable skin. The red fluid spread in the waters slowly. It had to get out of the water before its wound would actually heal well. But even with the bleeding still continuing, Whiscash's skin turned a slight shade of gray before it multiplied rapidly. Blobs of aquamarine filled the lake as Whiscash easily split, like two paper cups pulled away from each other. Just that there were many paper-cup-pulling-aways. Momo got up, and looked around. He rubbed his eyes, thinking he's gone delusional. Upon realizing there WERE many Whiscash in the lake, he looked at me and waited for me to tell him what to do. I like that. If it was Mimi, she'd get up and Aurora Beam every single one (she likes the sound Aurora Beam makes as it freezes).*Now, I was pretty sure of what to do.

"Timpeni, you need control Momo before it get's confused and doesn't listen to you. Try finding the cause of the Whiscash..." I didn't quite get what Joe was saying, but I knew it was something about finding the cause what whatever Whiscash did and stopping Momo from being inflicted with confusion. Well, maybe he was cut off or something. Anyway, now that we were in a battle, I couldn't dawdle on this much longer. It the Whiscash attacked, then it was probably as viewing Momo as an opponent and fearing his leaves. My knowledge of Pokemon psychology told me that. So, now I just had to command Momo. I already had a plan in mind.

"Momo, use Yawn and blow it through the crowd of Whiscash. The one who yawns and fall asleep the next minute will be the real one. After that, all the clones will disappear. In case the real one is underwater, blow Sweet Kiss into the water." Momo nodded, and the pink gas bubbles escaped, popping on the nose of every Whiscash. One of them had to be the real one. If it was above water, it would get sleepy. If it was underwater, it would get confused. It was the perfect combo- unless the Whiscash was one step ahead of us. I won't underestimate the intelligence of Pokemon. Even though they are more 'primitive' than us, it didn't mean they were numbskulls. Pokemon outsmart us from time to time, both with brains and knowledge.

OOC: Wish will come true soon, just though something to build up the MCR

"Momo, use Yawn and blow it through the crowd of Whiscash. The one who yawns and fall asleep the next minute will be the real one. After that, all the clones will disappear. In case the real one is underwater, blow Sweet Kiss into the water." Timpeni said to Momo.

Momo nodded and produced tiny clouds from her mouth and fired them towards the copies of Whiscash. The small clouds just kept going and evaporated into the Whiscash copies. Joe looked and watched as none of them appeared to yawn. It must be underwater. Momo speed towards the water's surface like it was told if none of the Whiscash yawned. As soon as Momo was close to the water surface, he opened his mouth and produced a large yellow ring. The yellow ring was surrounded by small little ducks. That was Sweet Kiss. The yellow ring disappeared into the water. There was a dead silence and then the copies of Whiscash disappeared.

"I guessed that worked" Joe said to Timpeni as he watched Momo hover over the water's edge. Suddenly a large wave appeared from the lake. A small dark figure was in the center, it looked very familiar. As the wave got closer, Joe noticed it was the Whiscash in the middle. Joe quickly grabbed a small red and white ball and threw in front of Timpeni and him. A large clay Pokemon appeared and gave a small twirl.

"Claydol, use Protect around us!" Joe commanded the large Clay Pokemon. Claydol created a green shield around the Gyarados the group were sitting on. The large blue wave crashed onto Momo and sent her crashing into the bottom of the lake bed.

Joe turned to Timpeni and asked what she was going to do next, they could dive down and see if he was alright or she could hope that he was alright?

Ah shit. Just shit. Things were going smoothly till now. Momo found the Whiscash underwater, and blew Sweet Kisses at it. After all, Yawn wouldn't work underwater- the bubbles would float and pop at the top. But now, Momo was drowning at the bottom of the lakebed. The confused Whiscash probably sent a strong wave our direction which drenched Momo's feathers, causing them to drag Momo down. We were only protected by Joe's Claydol, summoned in to shield us in a green-colored barrage of protection against any Pokemon move. Unfortunately, the Protect didn't span out large enough to shield Momo, and sent him crashing. I looked at Joe, and back at myself. A whole train of thoughts buzzed through me at that moment.

Okay, I knew I couldn't swim down and get Momo. I wasn't confident if my swimming skills and the last thing me and Joe wanted was for me to drown in the water. Momo was still a baby. The Pokemon wasn't capable to swimming out itself. It was probably panicking, right this moment. There was only one option left. But was it the right option? I was doubtful it would work. I nervously slid my hand over Mimi's Pokeball and pressed the button. The Pokemon, upon being released, melted into the water instantly in delight. But there was something I wanted to make her do, and toying around wasn't it. I didn't know how to convince her, though...

"Mimi, listen! Momo is in the water. I can't get her, or I would have gotten her myself. You have to swim down to get her." I said to Mimi more sternly than ever. The Vaporeon looked me before briefly diving in the water. A head emerged and shook at me. To be honest, I have never felt so frustrated and unsatisfied by Mimi before. Yes, the little Pokemon can be quite a handful at some times. But going against saving a comrade's life was someone downright outrageous. And it wasn't like it was hard to do. Mimi just had to pick up Momo and swim back up. Momo was heavy in the air, but in the water, I mean, water pressure? Pft. Mimi was totally resistant to that. But how would I force Mimi to go get Momo? Or... did I have to force her? Maybe if I play with her emotions- in a good way, I mean- I could get her to save Momo from fainting underwater.

"Would Momo leave you to faint?"

Mimi stared at me momentarily before diving into the water. Mimi was alleyways mean to Momo, but the Pokemon didn't care. Momo would go out of his way to help Mimi, despite Mimi's constant 'mind your own business' threats. Mimi had a conscience, I just had to tap into it. And when I did, and handled it well, O could manipulate it the way it benefited all of us. Though Momo would get frustrated at Mimi for always driving him away, I knew Momo would never intentionally harm Mimi. I just hoped that Mimi would come to her senses and save Momo. But that wasn't the only challenge I was now facing. Perhaps the confused and slightly enraged Whiscash would attack Mimi or Momo, endangering them both. Also, this move was now a non-attacking and non-contributive to the battle in our hands. Whiscash may use these precious seconds as a way to turn the tables on this battle. It worried me.

Oh, the worst thing that could happen was if I lost this battle. I would heal the two and they would be back on their feet. It would be a-okay, definitely. I was calming myself when I noticed the tell-tale birthmark on the Whiscash's forehead. Above the large orange 'W' was a black birthmark roughly the size if a tennis bell and shaped like a heart- the heart shape, not a real heart. I looked at the birthmark and stopped in my tracks. No, it couldn't be. Could it...? The Whiscash was acting very gentle and docile till now. That was how Maya used to act. Was it possible, that when she disappeared, she disappeared here? But how? It was so confusing. Maybe it was a distant relative of Maya, bearing the same mark. And the Whiscash didn't seem to recognize me anyway. But then, that could be because I've grown or Maya has simply forgotten how I looked like. But this Whiscash seemed... old. As in, no longer in her primes but still not grandma old. It would fit Maya's age now. But there were so many things that made Maya being the Whiscash here impossible. Or near impossible?

Joe looked across at Timpeni. It looked like she was think a lot about what to do with Momo. After a couple of minuets she grabbed another PokeBall and threw it into the water. The blue water dog like Pokemon appeared and raised her head from the water.

"Mimi, listen! Momo is in the water. I can't get her, or I would have gotten her myself. You have to swim down to get her." Timpeni said to Vaporeon. It took a couple of seconds for Vaporeon to dive down into the water. Maybe there was some communication errors between both of them. Moments later, Mimi traveled back to the surface with nothing and just shook her head. Timpeni looked pretty mad at Mimi and just said to her, "Would Momo leave you to faint?"

Mimi slowly dived back into the water. It looked like Timpeni got the best of this moody Pokemon. Joe watched as Timpeni slowly began to examine the Whishcash. Joe couldn't tell what she was thinking but suddenly a feint glow appeared from the lake. The glow became much brighter and suddenly a white Bird erupted from the water edge. Joe smiled as the Wish had came true, Togetic looked refresh and ready to battle Whishcash. Another Blue Pokemon appeared from the water's edge and slowly looked up at Timpeni.

Joe turned to Timpeni and said, "This battle is yours now, lets fo this""

It was like some dramatic movie. Mimi was some rebellious young kid, me some weird mentor-teacher character, and Momo the hero, while the Whiscash... Maya... was the villain trying to defeat the hero. As I, the great underestimated and faded mentor-teacher-thing character urged Mimi to save the hero because she has some special power or some other stereotyped thing and, predictably, fought against it. After some dramatic urgency and pleading, Mimi goes down to save the hero, and the hero in all epicness is revived and brought back to the realm of the living/out of trouble with a dramatic re-entrance to show how pure and/or powerful the hero is, with all wounds healed, one hundred percent new etc. etc. (How many times did I use the word dramatic?) Momo looked at me and awaited my command, a smile on his face. I smiled. Pure and majestic heros acted by haughty and insecure actors. This was no act- Momo was pure, alright. And perhaps, one day, powerful. Perhaps, one day, the hero will save the day again. Or I'll just pop the hero in one of the many stories I write when I'm bored and swap the right to printing the story with a Pokemon. Yeah. Wait, am I rambling again? I suppose I am. Argh.

"Momo, launch a Yawn attack at Maya." Moomo shot me a curious glance, and for a moment, I didn't know what I just said. Maya. Even if that Whiscash wasn't her, I would name it so. Maya was a beautiful name of a docile, innocent Pokemon. The name of one of the characters in my story. Of course, she went mad and led the world into apocalypse. Um. Er. Hopefully, that wouldn't happen here. Even though it is pretty much scientifically and logically impossible and not plausible to any situation, the whole mere understanding of science, the world and life has been challenged many times- and sometimes is lost. I guess this is why I don't write stories when I'm fed up with something or moody- some zombie apocalypse or mass murder or anything of the like will happen at the end. In most of my stories, the supernatural and the worst case will prevail and bring terror to the world. I'm truly no different from the author of Speaking the Karp, and may have given people nightmares or maybe even newfound fears with my stories. I guess I'm one of those people I always thought were crazy. It seems that Gym Leaders and Dojo Senseis are also pretty crazy- my sensei and gym leader friends are pretty demented to a certain point, some even mentally scaring, especially the leader of one certain flying gym.

"Er... I mean, use Yawn in the Whiscash, Momo." I said. The Togetic nodded before shooting a stream of bubbles at the Whiscash. The playful act of blowing bubbles has changed my life, and I was reminded by this every time I tell Momo or any Pokemon to use Yawn. I thought silently in my mind the gruesome sight I had experienced on that fateful day...

It was a normal late afternoon. The blaze of the sun was gone, and me and my friends stood in the forest with a bottle full of bubble solution. We have saved for bottles of the precious liquid which we treasured dearly. The forming of the bubble, the weightless flying and the soft pop always entranced us to continue. We often blew out our entire bottle in two or three days. Today, we were simply in a familiar section of the forest, where we always did our bubble blowing.

Sitting on the ground littered with dried leaves, we faced the sky with our bubbles ready. As we blew, the last glimmer of sunlight disappeared through the trees, and we knew it was time to go. I turned around and walked out of the forest, not bothering to talk to my friend- I was too tired. We lived in the same home, so I always thought she was behind me. Our age difference was large, but we were still friends. My friend already had a job, and tried to support a family. I simply clung onto what I had.

When I reached my house, I turned around. My friend wasn't there. I suspected that she was lagging behind, and walked into the forest. I called out. Nothing but the howls of nocturnal Pokemon replied. I looked around. I knew my father would scold us for being late, so I quickened my pace. It was then did I see a translucent liquid squished by my shoes. Bubble solution! I ran up the trail and saw the bottle spilled on the floor. The beheaded body next to the bottle haunts me to this very day.

    I screamed.

I still don't know how she died.

That night, I returned home without a mother.

"Momo, launch a Yawn attack at Maya." Timpeni said to her newly refreshed Togetic. The Togetic looked at Timpeni and tilted her head, like a dog would do when they are confused. Joe wondered why Timpeni has already given the Whiscash a name? Is she surely that confident?

"Er... I mean, use Yawn in the Whiscash, Momo." Timpeni said as she cleared her head. Joe wondered what she was thinking as Momo tilted his head in confusion. However after the confusion, Momo dived towards Whiscash. He opened his mouth and produced a flurry of pink bubbles towards Whiscash. The Whiskers Pokemon quickly opened his mouth and fired a cold jet towards Momo. The powerful Hydro Pump sent Momo crashing into the side of Gyarados. Gyarados suddenly toppled over, leaving Joe and Timpeni bracing their self's for the impact of the water. Joe plummeted down and smacked his head against the lake bed. During all this Whiscash yawned and slowly fell asleep.

Joe lay unconscious at the bottom of the lake bed, with only minuets left until serious injuries.

OOC: Don't post yet. I'm going off to lunch.

"Damn, that was a bumpy ride. You okay, Joe? Er, Joe?" I looked around and scanned the river. Nothing. Kaput. The huge beam of water was like ten elephants being shot out of a cannon and aimed right at us. It wasn't surprising if... I put my face in the water and opened my eyes. ARGH! I needed to remember I could only open my eyes in clean bodies of water, like fresh rainwater-filled pond, or swimming pools. The things that Pokemon throw in here was enough to make my eyes sting like never before. Anyway, what was that old Chinese saying I heard before in the depths of time, when I was actually listening to my teacher? Jing yi zhi, zhang yi zhi. Er, was it zhi at first? It meant that once you experienced something, it'll be added to your brain as an extra bit of information to keep in mind. I didn't have time to think deeper. Mimi was a good swimmer but not too strong. Joe was an adult, and with a thick (not to mention thoroughly drenched and highly prone to the likes of soaking up water like a paper sponge) ranger outfit including various heavy gadgets. What should I do? Search in your memory! There has got to be SOMETHING there...

    "..."

Okay, where the HELL am I? I guess someone used hypnosis on me or something. Er. So. This place looks like I'm standing in front of a blooming large rainbow or something. Oh, hey. Is that Momo in front of me? He seems pretty happy. Oh god, is he STEPPING on the rainbow? Eh. I guess I should follow him... this is one heck of a messed-up dream. Sighing, I step on the rainbow. Seems pretty solid. Now what?

Walking over the rainbow. This place is way too cheerful and quiet for my liking. Yes, it's possible for something to be cheerful yet quiet. Momo's a bit like that. I see a cottage in a distance. Momo is bouncing around a lot too. Suddenly, I hear a voice in the distance. Voices in my head AGAIN? Go away, dammit. Stop making me want to write dirty stories about my various characters. But this voice was kind; coaxing, even. Perhaps it would be good to pay attention to it, even if it was saying a bunch of useless crap. Wait, when did I EVER listen to anything boring? This voice was different compared to the other ones. It was instructing me to do something. But not in a stern, leader-shippy way. In a persuasive and I-don't-really-care-if-you-don't-do-it-I'll-forgive-you sort of way.

"Hello there. I am the Dream Tree's guardian spirit. I suppose you have accessed Dream World in search of guidance in a current dilemma you are facing, are you not? I have the answer to your questions." The voice said. Okay, now it was starting to get mildly creepy. Dream world. I suppose I have heard that name somewhere... oh yes! It is the name of the place ancient travelers said they accessed. BUT... that was only in fairy tales and legends. Could it be true? Well, I was in a rush, so I couldn't really think much. I need to talk and ask. Talktalktalk. Hm. I wonder if I can say that with a mouth full of marshmallows. ARGH! I'm steering off my focus again. Need to stay on the road.

"Er, well, I'm in a bit of a hurry and my ranger is drowning at the bottom of the lake and a Whiscash is almost ready for capture and and and-" The voice hushed me.

"Do not fret. One day in dream world is only a few seconds in yours. Now, you seek to free your friend from the treacherous effects of drowning and suffocation. There is a way, but it requires precision timing, cooperation between your two Pokemon and yourself. It requires other Pokemon, too, and, most of all... luck." The voice emphasized on the 'luck' part a bit. I didn't know what to really expect. I looked over at Momo. He seemed to be listening intently. Hm... perhaps he could hear the voice too. Okay, this Dream World is getting weirder and weirder by the second.

"Your Pokemon, 'Momo', has an extra Dream World ability- Super Luck. It is buried deep within, only to be unlocked by those of Dream World. I could unlock it, but I do not have the authority too. However, though it is locked, it still exists, and the energy of the ability is still pulsating in Momo. How to use this ability's weak energy is up to you. But as I said, cooperation is the main component. I suppose you can think of a way-"

"NO! Sorry, but I can't." I yelled out. The voice was silent, perhaps stunned at my sudden reaction. A slight giggle resounded around me. The innocent laughs multiplied, as if the voice was laughing at me- no, not the voice. Many voices. People, watching from afar...

"Of course you can. But, if you are in need of help..." The voice started to sing a carefree song. The words were imprinted in my mind and would appear whenever I thought of them. I wonder what they mean...

Waking up in a large mess
What can I do to make it less?
Follow me, follow me, I know how to do it
They'll stare at you and you'll know you've hit
The jackpot, and as they charge
Hold onto her slippery blue skin, the smaller one, not the large
And hold your breathe, it's going to be tough
The Pokemon will follow, and though their actions are rough
Try to carry your friend, they will follow
Follow me, follow me, to the world which is hollow
Seeing the sleeping one, to avoid trouble
Send two leaves and a ball on the double

"...huh? Oh, so I interpret it now?" I said. The voice giggled, which I took for a 'yes, silly/stupid/ignorant'. Though the last two don't really fit into a grammatically correct sentence, and show my low self-esteem. 'Follow me, follow me, I know how to do it'... was there a hidden meaning? Suddenly, the voice howled in laughter.

"Oh, oh seeing you try to guess it is hilarious! It's got something to do with Momo's moves." Of course! Momo has the move Follow Me! Wait, so, 'They'll stare at you and you'll know you've hit'... er... well, in the next few lines a 'The Pokemon will follow, and though their actions are rough' will appear... so the Pokemon will follow? And they will do something to aid me...? Gah. Why can't the stupid spirit just tell me the answer? I've half-interpreted it already though, so it shouldn't take too long...

'Hold onto her slippery blue skin, the smaller one, not the large'... so... slippery blue skin... Mimi and Maya? The smaller one, not the large... so, I hold on to Mimi? Or... ugh. This was hard. Hold on to Mimi and... 'And hold your breathe, it's going to be tough', which means going underwater, I guess.
