Individual RP: Timpeni

Joe took a step back and let Timpeni take the stage and watched as she looked into the Poliwag. Joe watched as Timpeni tinkered around with the small red and white pokeball’s on her belt. Her hand stopped over a one of the balls and she grabbed it and threw it into the air. The ball span through the air and landed on the floor, a white flash appeared from the ball and a white. A large fairy like bird erupted from the flash and started yawn before stretching its wings and small legs. Joe smiled but wondered if Momo would be still hurt from the last battle from Lumineon. Momo flew into the air and did a small loop-loop before staying on the spot. It sure looked like it was ready for a battle.

"Okay, Momo. I want you to perform Sweet Kiss, than Yawn!" Timpeni said as she watched Momo start to blow kisses from his mouth towards the small Poliwag on the other side. The ray of kisses flew towards to Poliwag, cutting through the surprisingly warm winter wind. The ray of kiss smacked Poliwag on the face causing it to become confused. Poliwag began to walk around like a drunken Irishman before finding its feet and opening its small cherry pink lips. Small bubble appeared from Poliwag mouth and fired towards Momo, who clapped after the small ray of heart shaped kiss hit the small tadpole Pokemon. The bubbles smacked Momo and sent Momo back a few yards in the ground.

Momo began to open its small mouth and produced a small pink cloud. It was a good tactic, making Poliwag confused and then making it go to sleep. The pink cloud drifted slowly towards Poliwag and within seconds the small cloud diffused into the centre of Poliwag’s spiral. Poliwag began to look confused but managed to roll up into a tight ball. It looked like it was using Defense Curl, a move that drastically changes defense and makes it harder for physical attacks to damage the foe.

Joe looked over at Timpeni and wondered what she would do in this situation.

The Poliwag yawned and slowly closed its hesvy eyelids before forcing them open. OT obviously won't stay conscious for long. I had better make use of the time it was asleep, so now was damage time. Then again, how could I hurt the cute creature? Maybe it was better to not have messed with it in the first place and have thrown a Pokedoll. And there was also a limit on how many Pokemon we can capture.

"Sorry, I change my mind. Could I purchase a Pokedoll?" I said, holding out my money.

"Sorry, I change my mind. Could I purchase a Pokedoll?" Timpeni said, holding out some money.

"Sure thing" Joe said as he grabbed a small Poliwag doll from bag and threw it towards the sleeping Poliwag. Now the doll was tucked into the fins of the small Poliwag. The Poliwag gave of a small snore clutched the doll closer to his chest.

"I think that will do" Joe said as they walked down the path back to the lakes. However ahead of them was a small pond which was supposed to be full of ledgendary and rare Pokemon. As them walked past the small pond, Joe noticed a small oyster of the path, the closer they walked they could hear a feint snore. Joe smiled and said to Timpeni "This I believe is a Clampearl, a Pokemon which can evolve to many other Pokemon. Would you like to battle it?"

I watched as the tiny Poliwag hugged the Pokedoll. Cute, yeah, but still wasn't getting to me. I followed Joe as he headed towards the pond that I frequented whenever guiding visitors and rangers alike to the Great Lakes. It may look humble and normal, not to mention the fact it is given a non-hostile name called the 'Walking Pond', which meant that we could walk in it. But there was a sign that read 'TREAD CAREFULLY'. No wonder. After all, even though it looked like a normal, large pond, it had Pokemon that many haven't even heard off lurking inside.

I followed Joe, keeping an eye on my feet. Clampearls were abundant here. A horror story spread at the Docks, where a ranger got stuck in a Clampearl. He didn't have any Pokemon on him, his walkie-talkie fell into the pond and short circuited, and he only had a knife. The tide was coming in and it would drown him because he was a short ranger, so he had to amputate him ankle to go free. Unfortunately, the ranger died of blood loss before he reached any help. I shuddered, and at that moment Joe asked me if I wanted to battle a sleeping Clampearl. What a coincidence.

"Oh, yes, I would. But I think we shouldn't strike it while it's sleeping. Momo, use Safeguard and Wish to prepare yourself for the battle." I said, and Momo nodded. Firstly, a strange veil surrounded Momo. The veil prevented any harm in the form of status conditions towards Momo. Then, sparkles shined on his body, signaling that he was performing Wish. Hopefully, he'll be healed to full health. Of course, any amount would do anyway.

 

"Oh, yes, I would. But I think we shouldn't strike it while it's sleeping. Momo, use Safeguard and Wish to prepare yourself for the battle." Timpeni said as she let of Momo from his Pokeball. The white flying Pokemon woke up from another sleep it was getting, inside the Pokeball.

Momo closed his eyes and span around in a circle producing small yellow and white rings to heal itself. The yellow aura rings were floating just above Momo head, like a halo. Then Momo began to use Safeguard by closing its eyes and creating a white dome around it's body preventing status inflicting attacks. Nice Idea.

The Clampearl woke up from the noise that Momo was making and looked on at the flying Pokemon. It opened it oyster body and reviled its cute little face. However it suddenly turned angry for Momo waking it up and produced a Whirlpool. The whirlpool zoomed through the warm air and smashed against the jolly Momo. It looked like Momo was stuck in the Whirlpool. How will Timpeni get out of this one?

Momo was swirling in the whirlpool, getting dizzy. I clawed at my head, trying to think of what to do. I did read somewhere about whirlpools somewhere... hm... wait... what's that smell? Did someone fart? I gagged, and pinched my nose. Maybe Momo could fart his way out? No, no! That is the most stupid idea I have had since... pretty much forever! But the serene atmosphere... it beckons. I punched my forehead, getting the thought (mostly) out of my messed up mind. But that was when I remembered something.

"Momo! The whirlpool is just newly formed. Swim down, you should see the end soon enough! Then, get out and perform Sweet Kiss, followed by Magical Leaf!" I yelled, and Momo nodded faintly before diving into the water. Momo wasn't the best at swimming. Hopefully thinks went alright. If something went wrong... I would simply summon Momo back and call out Mimi. Yes, that would be better, for both of them. But I feared about the recent pummeling Mimi got. Mimi might take her anger out on the Clampearl. Oh dear, this is a hard decision...

 

Joe watched the huge Whirlpool suck Momo in. Momo was now trapped inside the huge whirlpool that was created by the small Clampearl. Joe then suddenly smelt a weird pong from the battlefield. Joe couldn't quite recognize the smell until the it wafted through the air and reached Joe nose. Joe immediately looked at Clampearl but it seemed it was coming from the other side of the battle. Was it Momo?

"Momo! The whirlpool is just newly formed. Swim down, you should see the end soon enough! Then, get out and perform Sweet Kiss, followed by Magical Leaf!" Timpeni yelled to the trapped Togetic. Togetic managed to listen to Timpeni and tried to swim down the whirlpool. It was a good idea as the whirlpool was freshly made and that Clampearl wasn't really that strong. Momo managed to squeeze through and managed to get out of the whirlpool. It clapped his hand and produced some pink heart's from his mouth and blew them towards the sitting Clampearl. The small pink heart's danced threw the air and landed on the Clampearl. However Clampearl was finished and used a powerful Water Gun attack at Momo. Momo was hit by the jet of water and was sent back crashing into the ground.

Momo picked itself up and summoned purple leaves in front of his hand and forced them towards Clampearl. The magical leaves cut through the air and hit Clampearl hard. Both Pokemon took quite a lot of damage there

The plan was a complete success. Though completely drenched, Momo was free, and now performing Sweet Kiss- full hit. Then, a barrage of leaves hit Clampearl. Ouch. Poor Clampearl. I had to remember to treat Clampearl well when I captured it- if I did- for apology. But for now, I was going to treat it like any other wild Pokemon- an opponent, that has hurt my Pokemon. As the Clampearl became confused, it was time to make it sleep.

"Good job, Momo! Now use Yawn, like always!" I said, and the drenched Togetic nodded. He sucked in a generous mouthful of air, and a cloud, with a faint trace of pink, was blown out of his nostrils, accompanied by a large yawn. I yawned as well, again, careful not to breathe in any of the pink air. The cloud floated over to Clampearl, who then yawned softly and quite adorably. I then felt sort of bad for hurting the clam. I'll evolve it into a pretty Gorebyss and treat it well. Definitely.

 

The battle was still intense as both Pokemon weren't backing down. Both Pokemon stared at each other with anger in there eyes. Joe watched as Momo began to clap after the Magical Leaf move. Joe smiled and looked down at Azurill, who now was interested in the battle as well.

"Good job, Momo! Now use Yawn, like always!" Timpeni said. Momo shook his body so that he was not completely dripping wet and began to create a small pink cloud and directed it towards Clampearl. The small pink cloud floated it's way over to Clampearl and diffused into the small pink pearl in the middle of the Clam.

Clampearl gave out a loud yawn and looked very drowsy, however managed to produce a very strong Ice Beam from its mouth. The frozen beam directed it's way to Togetic and smacked Togetic hard. Both Pokemon were giving it there all.

I looked at the pink pearl, seated snugly in the middle of light blue flesh. I looked at Momo, who was still getting chills from the Ice Beam, and yet still clapping. I 'hm'ed for a while and decided what to do. I know Momo didn't want to hurt the little clam again, and liked me to remind it to be gentle. I don't know why the team-spirited Togetic liked me to, but it was a nice peculiarity. Maybe it wanted to be comforted by the fact that its trainer understood how it felt.

"Give the Clampearl another Magical Leaf, followed by a Wish for yourself. And remember to be gentle and nice to the Clampearl, no matter what it does to you." I said, and Momo nodded. A sharp leaf spun, aiming to hit Clampearl on the pearl, not the flesh. If it hit the hard pearl, it would do much damage, simply a scratch. But its blue cushion of meat was tender and easy to cut through, making it the target of most moves. But not this time.

 

"Give the Clampearl another Magical Leaf, followed by a Wish for yourself. And remember to be gentle and nice to the Clampearl, no matter what it does to you." Timpeni said. Momo nodded and began to prepare more purple leaves to throw at Clampearl. Momo clapped as he sent the purple leaves flying towards Clampearl. The magical leaves scrapped Clampearl tough shell, reducing much of the damage.

Clampearl opened it's shell and began to produce a loud snore. The magnitude of the snore sent Momo flying right back. It looked like it was hurt by the snore. This Clampearl has got a lot of tricks up it's ummm..... shell?

Momo began to spin around producing a yellow aura around itself. The yellow aura sat right above Momo head. It looked like wish will have to wait one more round.

"Oh god, the sound, the sound." I complained, blocking my ears. The shrill snore sent Momo flying back. The Clampearl must either be tricky, or simply having a very good dream. I would like to think it was the latter. I didn't want to have another Mimi clone. Sure, Mimi was nice if she wanted to be, but if she didn't want to be nice... well... Hell would happen, or at least it felt like it was happening. Lumineon seemed like Mimi too. Oh dear. Maybe I should have brought scent sprays. They would have attracted more friendlier Pokemon...

"Okay, Momo. Use another Magical Leaf, hit the same spot. And as a safety feature, I want you to keep one leaf circling Clampearl. I observed the Clampearl likes to keep an eye on moving objects. If the leaf kept the Clampearl distracted when it wakes up, still groggy, it would give Momo more time to prepare than have it attack the instant it wakes up from its beauty sleep. Or, at least, I hoped it did. These Pokemon are just that: wild and unpredictable. Actually, Mimi is still wild and unpredictable... some things just never change, no matter how much time passes.

 

"Okay, Momo. Use another Magical Leaf, hit the same spot. And as a safety feature, I want you to keep one leaf circling Clampearl" Timpeni said. Momo began to form purple leaves in front of his arms. Then Momo unleashed the leaves towards the sleeping Clampearl. The razor leaves sliced through the air and smacked the same place as before. However on of the leaves was hovering round the sleep Oyster Pokemon.

"Nice Move" Joe said as he watched the leaf float around the Clampearl. The Clampearl opened it's mouth a produced another Snore attack. The waves from Clampearl's mouth blasted through the air and hit Momo again. However the white aura around Momo head began slowly work it's way down Momo body, healing all the battle wounds.

Joe turned to Timpeni and watched as she had the upper hand, however one slip and it can all go wrong.

Just as things were going as planned, Momo slipped, and the Razor Leaf hit me square on the head. I was dazed for a bit, before crashing down into the pond. The corners of my vision darkened steadily, blotting out the clear blue skies that were shifting and faded. I could hear Joe and Momo calling, but I couldn't hear them well as I slipped out of consciousness.

It was the Gift Station. Having newly moved into town and become a ranger, I wasn't so well-known. I just watched, tying my woolen scarf countless times as the people conversed. The snow piled steadily outside, but in here, it was warm, both in temperature and atmosphere. I didn't bother to take off my winter coat, too enraptured int eh scene, filled with both jealousy and happiness fir those who got gifts. Some got eight. Nine. Ten. In the Gift Station, you could only take five home. People were complaining about the difficulty of choosing the gifts while others, like me, faded in the background, without a single wrapped present titled to us. But still, we had to come, for the main organizer of the event gave out prizes to everyone in the Gift Station, and only the Gift Station. If someone put in a gift for you and you weren't there, the gift was returned.

That was when my name was called. I nearly fainted in surprise, but remained up to take my present. It was a circle-shaped present in red, festive wrapping paper, a pretty bow tied on top with hot pink laced with white. It was obviously a Pokeball. It was sent to me by the first person I took on a run. Inside was the jolly little Togetic, just then a little Togepi. I was touched by the present. How nice... how... nice...

I groaned, getting up again, Momo leaning over me apologetically. I saw a bandage on my head, presumably from Joe, who was halfway dragging me out of the pond. I shook my body a bit, to show I was awake. Joe stopped midway, and I rose.

"Wait, don't end it yet. It was just a little set back," I said, and I petted the little Pokemon, frowning for the first time. "No need to be sorry. You didn't mean it." The Togetic nodded, and faced the Clampearl, who seemed to still be snoring away.

"Okay, Momo. A few more Magical Leafs to the pearl should be sufficient. And one more around the Clampearl, to make sure it stays confused and distracted." I said, but feared that since Momo accidentally hurt me, for once, it would not obey, for it would just not be in the right mood to do as I say.

 

Joe watched as the razor leaves where hitting the shell of Clampearl. However for some unknown reason, Momo's concentration must of slipped because on the leaves hit it's own trainer. Joe suddenly froze as he watched Timpeni slowly fall into the river. Joe couldn't move and kept thinking what he should do. "Think Joesph, think. What did they teach you in Ranger Academy.

Joe's first instinct was to grab Timpeni from the lake and put her onto dry land. Joe quickly rushed over to the lake and grabbed Timpeni's arm and carefully dragged her out from the lake. Joe suddenly grabbed the first aid kit from his bag. He slowly wrapped some bandage round her head, as it had suffered a bump after smacking against the lakes floor.

"Wake up Timpeni" Joe said as he carefully watched Timpeni. To Joe's relief he watched as Timpeni slowly opened her eyes. She slowly got up and looked at both Joe and Momo, who had helped Joe.

"Wait, don't end it yet. It was just a little set back," Timpeni said, and she petted the little Pokemon, frowning for the first time. "No need to be sorry. You didn't mean it." Momo looked a lot happier and rose to air and began to get to it's position.

After all the events that had happened the Clampearl managed to wake up and looked a lot more energized. The Clampearl produced a beam of water towards Momo. Momo swiftly partially dodged the attack, only to be hit on the foot.

"Okay, Momo. A few more Magical Leafs to the pearl should be sufficient. And one more around the Clampearl, to make sure it stays confused and distracted." Timpeni shouted to her Togetic.

The Togetic rose into the air and produced more leaves and targeting them towards Clampearl. The leaves smashed against the shell of Clampearl with one circling round it's shell. Clampearl was about to produce more water but fail and hit himself. Looks like it's working

"You can do it Timpeni, don't use strong attacks, it's getting weak" Joe said to his trainer.

I shifted my feet in the soft mud, my eyes darting over the normally serene rock pool. I was still a little groggy (well, who wouldn't after being knocked out?), and took quite a while before I noticed that Clampearl has woken up. The sounds of knocking Magical Leafs and smacks met my ears despite the dulled volume as a result of being underwater. I saw the distorted image of Clampearl through the water, and it was clear the Clampearl was much more weaker than when we first encountered it.

"You can do it Timpeni, don't use strong attacks, it's getting weak." Joe said to me. I nodded faintly, before reaching into my holly sling bag I got for a discount during a Christmas sale. It was reasonably empty, so it wasn't long until I gripped another of those blue- not to mention expensive to me- balls. It was seconded only by the Supreme Parkball, which acts like a master ball. The Hyper Ball was probably around the range of an Ultra Ball. Maybe they'll invent Pokeballs that work like Dusk Balls or Time Balls. It would really help me to have a Net Ball here in the Great Lakes.

I started to realize I was rambling to myself, and noticed Momo waiting for my order. "Come and have a well-deserved rest, Momo, you've done enough." I said, clicking the Pokeball in my neck. Momo glowed red, disallowing me to see either an elated or simply tired expression before Momo was asleep again. I reached into my bag and pulled out a Ranger Calculator, which is free to borrow for the duration of the run. I scanned the Clampearl and entered several details- it had 28% of its health left. Ouch. I read the percentage on the screen and grinned.

"75% capture rate. I think it's time." I said, before throwing the ball at Clampearl. For some reason, hitting it at the clam gave me a higher chance, when it is most resistant to attacks. Weird. The ball entered the water, and I awaited in suspense to see if it would sink onto the confused Clampearl. And I had the cheek to ask my teacher when we ever had to apply the science of refractions into our future lives. If only I listened well enough, I might not be feeling so much anxiety.

 

Joe watched as Timpeni pulled a small blue ball from her bag and held it her hand with a tight grip. She explained to me that this ball is second to best, with Supreme Park ball being the best. The Clampearl at this time was sitting on it's side and waiting for Timpeni to move.

"Come and have a well-deserved rest, Momo, you've done enough." Timpeni said as she grabbed Momo's PokeBall and threw it towards Momo. The ball clicked in Momo neck and then he was completely surrounded by a red light before returning to the red and white ball.

Timpeni looked down and grabbed a small pocket device. She flicked the switch and scanned the Clampearl. The device read out loud "28% Health, No Status, Hyper Ball, 90% Capture Rate"

"90% capture rate. I think it's time." Timpeni said as she threw the Hyper Ball towards the Clampearl. The Clampearl was sucked into the ball and rolled around on the floor. Within seconds on being sucked into the ball, the ball stood still and a tiny little click rang through Joe's ears.

Joe walked forward and grabbed the small blue ball and placed it in his bag. "I will be looking after this again, I am sure it will have a great time with your Lumineon" Joe said as he placed the ball into his bag.

"Let's carry on, I have a great place to go to if your up for it" Joe asked Timpeni

"Yes!" I said as the ball clicked. Joe grabbed it, putting it in his bag. Through the course of the battle, I have observed the Clampearl, and concluded it was probably naive. It would be a nice Pokemon to bring on team battles. And I would definitely want to bring it to the Daycare one day, since they like Breeding Moves more than anything else. But one pass is worth a whole week of food for me... I don't think I can afford it...

"Let's carry on, I have a great place to go to if your up for it."

Joe's words broke me out of my daydream, and I snapped back into focus before nodding. "Oh, sure! I can go for anything." I said, beaming a smile on my face again. I've already captured two, though, and I was left with only one Hyper Ball. I had to choose wisely what I wanted next. Er, what DO I want next? Maybe I would just go along with Joe, and see what Pokemon pops up. Hopefully something strong, or something I haven't seen before. I definitely needed to have more Pokemon then simply four, one that is in the Daycare. I remember someone asked me to trade my Surskit...

Oh, am I rambling to myself again? Ah, I seriously need to be more focused on something on not be easily distracted. In fact, when was the cooling weather and icy winds here? I guess I was so caught up in my mind and the battle I didn't notice the gradual temperature change around me. I sincerely wished that I wore a scarf or something. The weather channel lied to me...

I let out Mimi, who jumped around playfully, enjoying freedom from the tiny red-and-white ball. "Mimi knows Surf, so if the place your talking about is accessible through Surf, I guess we should let Mimi practice the move a bit." I said to Joe, and awaited an answer.

 

Joe smiled as Timpeni said yes and they continued down the path back towards the main lakes. On the way the walked past a group of Poliwag who were playing on the cold green grass, maybe the abandoned Poliwag has made some new friends.

As Joe and Timpeni walked down the lane, Timpeni grabbed Mimi ball and threw it into the air. The small water dog like Pokemon appeared and yawned after being awoken by it's trainer. Then Mimi smiled and enjoyed the cool winter air that was around them.

"Mimi knows Surf, so if the place your talking about is accessible through Surf, I guess we should let Mimi practice the move a bit." Joe smiled and nodded and pointed towards a small Island in the middle of the lake. No one had ever ventured out that that island because it is said that very special and rare Pokemon live there.

Joe grabbed a small Pokeball from his belt and threw it into the water. A huge fish Pokemon appeared and gave a huge roar. "Calm down Gyra" Joe said to his Gyarados as she floated on the water edge. "Timpeni meet Gyra, Gyra meet Timpeni" Joe said laughing.

Suddenly Joe heard a voice from behind Timpeni and noticed a lonly Wooper. The Wooper opened it's mouth and produced a ray of water towards the group.

"Well looks like it's a fast getaway or you can battle it?" Joe asked Timpeni.

After Mimi was introduced to Joe, he let out his own Pokemon: A Gyarados. The Gyarados was huge! Er, well, all Gyarados were, but you get the point. Anyway, Mimi was interested in the Gyarados, and sniffed it, only to jolt back when it released a large roar. Maybe Mimi wasn't so brave after all...

"Timpeni meet Gyra, Gyra meet Timpeni." Joe said, giving a slight laugh at the same time. That was when the back of my neck became wet. I heard the Pokemon say 'Wooper' and immediately guessed what it was.

"Uh... no thanks." I said.
