(OOC: You gotta pick which ability for Darmanitan and then what its gender is and then I'll edit it in.)

    NBP#1

    Ranger Ivy Frost

    ---

Ivy was only half-awake as her phone started buzzing and shaking on her desk. She blearily blinked her eyes open, and it took her a minute to recognize what the sound was even though her hand was already reflexively reaching for the device. She squinted as she brought the phone closer to her face, and she hit the button and put it to her ear as she said, “Ivy.”

“Oh, hi Ivy. Did I catch you at a bad time? You sound like you're sleepy.” The voice of the secretary was loud, and she winced a little as the cheery sound filtered through her ears. If she wasn't mistaken, this had to be Rachel, one of the bubbly blondes at the front desk.

“Nope,” she replied. They were supposed to sleep on the job. The secretary didn't need to know that's what she had been doing.

Her feet were still propped up on the corner of her desk, and Haji, her Espeon, was laying across her legs. He liked to nap a lot, though usually it was in a sun spot. His other favorite place was in her rolling chair, but since she was sitting in it, he chose the next best thing. He shifted a little as she scratched one of his ears, and she could hear his happy hum through their mind link.

She had been on a run this morning, a quicker hike through the Woods that hadn't taken very long. It was a warm one out there, and weariness had caught up as soon as they returned back. Though the Outposts were air conditioned, she could still feel the sun on her skin and the warm breeze and that had lulled her into a semi-drowsy state. Add to that Haji's warm form on her legs, and she had been out in a few minutes she gathered.

She rubbed at her eyes and tried to pay attention to what Rachel was saying. “There's a run application up here, and he specifically requested you. I know we don't normally do that since it's usually first come, first serve, but I'm not sure if a lot of other Rangers are even available right now.”

“Yeah, that's fine,” Ivy said, shaking her head a little and sitting up. Haji jumped down and sat by her chair as she brought her feet down. “What's the name?”

“Looks like Chris. It says here you took him through a short run to the Botanic Gardens.”

“Oh, right, I remember him.” She had taken over a run from Leo, and the Trainer snagged a Snorlax as she watched. “Where's he going?”

    “Deckbi.”

She tried to hold back the groan. She really did. However, since it was Summer and Deckbi was rarely pleasant on the best of days, it had become the enemy of many Rangers. Not to mention that it was a super popular choice since all of the new Pokémon had been discovered. She sighed as she shook her head. It was a little unprofessional as all runs should be treated the same, but she needed both of her hands and feet to count all the times she had been to the fiery mountain.

“Okay. Send the notice out right away for today?” Resigned, she put her phone in the crook of her shoulder and neck while she started gathering supplies.

“I can definitely do that. I'll send the info to your phone.”

    “Appreciate it. Thanks, Rachel.”

With a soft beep, she ended the call and finished gathering up all her supplies. She tied her rope to her belt and rummaged around for enough emergency potions and Pokédolls for the journey. Her phone buzzed again as Chris' Trainer info came though, and she briefly glanced at it while she pulled her long vest over her shoulders.

“The mountain again?” Haji questioned, and she couldn't help but smile at the resigned tone he had too.

“I guess so. Ready to go?”

The Espeon nodded and told her to hang on as the room came alive with energy. She felt his power bubble as the air shimmered, and then when she looked next they were looking at the Outpost at the base of Mount Deckbi.

She found her familiar bench next to the Outpost doors and took a seat, and like usual, Haji jumped up to join her, laying down on his stomach comfortably. He seemed to be soaking up the sunshine. He was never bothered by the heat as much as the rest. Then, they settled in to wait for Chris.

    Re: Individual RP: FossilFusion (Deckbi)

OOC: Darmanitan is Male and let's try Zen Mode!

I quickly turned off my alarm clock and dashed out of bed towards the Nation Park Sign Up Center... I forgot the time a lot lately due to working a lot more than most people, such as 70 hours plus a week. It was demanding and I was lucky I had time to even enter the park. However, it felt like time stopped within the Park. I signed up and wanted to venture for Mt.Deckbi. I was not sure what Pokemon I really wanted but Drillbur did seem to catch my eye. They are strong and cute, but who knows what is in store for me!

"There's the entrance!" I shouted. I legged it across some grass and through the, red sliding doors that opened in front of me. I saw a Ranger awaiting me on a seat. Suddenly, I noticed her phone was rapidly vibrating and obviously had my details transferred over to her. Well, hopefully... I noticed it was the same Ranger who took over Leo within the Botanical Gardens. Ivy.

"Hello Ivy! Thanks for taking me again this time!" I said to Ivy with a lot of enthusiam. I was so excited to enter Mt.Deckbi because I have heard before it is the best place to go! I thought because if was a mountainous, hot area perhaps Darmanitan and Metagross were good choices here. I noticed suddenly Ivy's Haji again. That cute Espeon. He was so cuddley and I really want to stroke him or hug him. Alas, on to Mt.Decki. I slowly approached Ivy and Haji again. The nice Ranger had red, long wavy hair, which made her look sophisticated and a calm Ranger. Similarly, she had a black turtleneck, and wore cargos. These cargos also had many pockets encase it. Ivy seemed to always wear these clothes as her uniform. I slowly approached her once more and said.

"Take me through!" I shouted and smiled. I looked at my two Pokeballs and thought it was best to unleash one of them once I enter the gateway to fiery, mountainous terrain. I felt like I was more prepared for the National Park this time because I brought more resources which will help me capture stronger Pokemon this time around compared to the other Park adventure.

    Ranger Ivy Frost

    ---

She didn't wait very long before Chris came into view. He was in his normal red t-shirt and jeans, and his hair was still brown, though it had lightened a bit since he was last here. Probably from the summer sun. It looked a bit enthused to be in the Park, and she was glad to see the energy. They had a lull in Trainers coming lately, and this was a nice change.

He came up and said, “Hello Ivy! Thanks for taking me again this time!”

She smiled that he remembered her and nodded. “Yeah, maybe this time we'll make it through a whole run before one of us has somewhere else they need to be.” She briefly noted that he had brought different Pokémon with him this time, and she wondered how he would do.

“Take me through!” he shouted, with that same brimming energy.

She could only laugh. “That's what I like to see. The mountain's not getting any cooler, so let's get this run started. Haji, lead the way?” she asked.

The purple cat stretched from his laying position, arching his back as he rose. He jumped down calmly, leading the way toward the gate with no problem. They were trying out some different mechanics for opening it lately. This time it was another musical number pad. They had done that one before she thought, so maybe they were retrying ones that seemed to work well.

She entered the correct code, beeping to the tune of a popular song over on the mainland. The gate swung open, and she let everyone pass before closing it behind her. Then, they started up the rocky road.

The scenery was nothing knew from the other half a million times she'd been here. There were still dust clouds that rolled along the path, and rocks still dotted the landscape in all shapes and sizes. There was even the dry long grasses in patches going up toward the mountain. Nothing really new to her, but maybe Chris was enjoying it.

A small rock in the middle of the path suddenly started to wobble, and Ivy stopped the group as it seemed to rise up and out of the earth. Then, a small Pokémon popped out of the ground. It looked a little like one of the computer enemies from a popular video game. It had a blue-shaded orb body, marked in the center by a large yellow eye. A stone wick of sorts topped it, and two brown feet let it move around.

“Any need for a Roggenrola?” she asked.

As I arrived Ivy's Haji stretched calmly towards the gate of Mount Deckbi. I saw a lot of dust clouds that tumbled around the rocky paths, and dotted the landscape in all shapes and sizes. This looked like a very scary terrain, which if you were not careful you'd be taken away easily. I walked along slowly with the team and thought it was best to unleash my Darmanitan already.

"Go Darmanitan!" I shouted. A giant red, fiery Ape appeared with strong muscles, and giant like fists. Similarly, it had giant yellow eyes and respected me in such short time. Suddenly, a small rock burrowed up from the ground... It had a blue-shaded orb body marked in the center by a large yellow eye. It was a Roggenrola.

"Any need for a Roggenrola?" Ivy asked me. I must admit Roggenrola was a cool Rock Pokemon, but I felt it was not neccessary to capture it here. I could simply try to run away or land an attack in front it as a distraction. I decide to do a distraction. Darmanitan use a really faint Flamethrower at the rocky ground next to the roggenrock. It might be able to help us escape!

(OOC: Escape failed, I say tab in the role play just because its a role play. Really, the money for dolls should be subtracted from your stats right away in the format that we use in the Mart. Money – 500 = leftover money.)

    NBP#3

    Ranger Ivy Frost

    ---

Chris released his Darmanitan, a deep red ape-like Pokémon that used its knuckles to move around. They and their pre-evolution were actually found on Deckbi. It had a large grin and two long, bushy eyebrows that were yellow at the base just above the eyes and faded out to a fiery red.

The Trainer didn't need a Roggenrola, and to help them try to get away, Chris told his Darmanitan to fire a flamethrower on the ground at the Rock-type's feet. With a large breath, he did, and flame spewed out in a stream.

However, as they tried to move past, the Roggenrola acted up. The fire attack ended, but it didn't look phased. Did it even feel heat behind all that rocky covering?

It made an annoyed sound and stamped the ground once, hard, making small rocks and dust kick up. It wasn't an attack or anything, but it got the message across that it was irritated. She sighed. It looked like it was going to be one of those days again.

“Well, looks like it's not going to let us pass without putting up a fuss. Do you want to get a doll for it? Some days wild mons just won't quit, and we don't want to be here all day. I can start a tab for you now to settle when we get back to the Main Outpost.”

Most Trainers either got dolls off of her or brought their own to use for pesky Pokémon. There was a reason she carried a bunch with her.

    OOC: Oh did not know that xD $4500 - 500 = 4000.

I quickly turned around to Ivy and Haji. I thought perhaps there was an easier way to escape Roggenrola other than a simple Flamethrower distraction. I watched my trusty Darmanitan blaze lightly the rocky floor. It did not seem to work as I watched Roggenrola stomp the ground. Mini rocks tumbled through the air and it did not seem to quit. Suddenly, I looked at Ivy. She seemed really fed up today as if she was either bored, had troubles outside the park or perhaps needed a hug!

"Hey Ivy! Everything alright? I am always here to chat if you need to let your hair down." I whispered to Ivy and smiled. I felt like I should be more thankful to my ranger. Perhaps a present of some sort after the park run. I always felt rewarding Ivy was neccessary. Darmanitan seemed angry kind of and was so sure our strategy would work. I guess that's what you get for being an Adamant, red ape. However, I heard her sigh for a moment as if I annoyed her somehow. My face started to drop as I was worried about our relationship as newly made friends. I gulped for a moment and said.

"Hey Ivy let's move on. Could I please use a Pokedoll?" I said softly. I was hoping I could make this interesting for her. I glared at Roggenrola for a second and hoped it would take the bait.

Chris must've heard her sigh, she thought, because he came out and said, “Hey, Ivy, everything alright? I'm always here to chat if you need to let your hair down.”

She wanted to beam herself in the face. Being whiny was pretty unprofessional of her, and it seemed that he took it like she was annoyed with him.

He asked her if he could use a Pokédoll and she nodded. “Thanks for the offer. And yeah, sorry, sometimes the wilds are annoying when they won't let Trainers pass. This doll should work though.” She paused to hand the Clefairy-shaped toy to him. “There's a little string on the bottom there to inflate it. Then all you gotta do is set it down near Roggenrola and we should be good to go.”

Ivy looked down at her phone clipped to her belt and tapped a couple buttons, getting to the right screen to start a tab for him. She marked down a check under the Pokédoll category of the pre-made sheet with the supplies she had, knowing they would just settle up at the end of the run. She found a tab worked much better than exchanging funds during a run. Sometimes bills were lost.

Chris put the doll down in front of the Rock-type, and thankfully, when she started to lead them away, it didn't follow. She breathed a sigh of relief. Hopefully the other Pokémon on the mountain would be a little less picky.

They continued on up the mountain path without much excitement after that. Ivy noticed though, that some of the foliage edging the path seemed singed. If she remembered correctly, there had been almost a full field of the long, dry grass growing on the side of the path just last week. Now it was nothing but a barren plain with a few scattered rocks. That was weird.

Suddenly, a puffy breath behind them alerted her. She whirled, and she came face to face with some sort of bipedal anteater. It looked a little out of place here with its vibrant red and orange-striped coat, seeming like it belonged more in a sci-fi factory than out here with the dirt. It had smooth gray pointed face with matching cuffs and tubes that seemed to weave around it. It snorted a stream of fire as it looked at them.

“Are you the one destroying all the grass?” she asked it, shaking her head. It simply snorted again in response. “Hey, Chris,” she said, motioning toward the Pokémon, “want to fight this Heatmor?”

I watched carefully as Ivy seemed to sigh a little more. As I proposed the question she seemed to breath some sort of relief like she wanted to talk about her troubles slowly. I did not want to rush her into answers because it was rude and she might get upset. Sure, she was fed up of Mt.Deckbi but I want her to have a fun time as well. She deserves her wages unlike some of the others. I heard her reply after a little though.

“Thanks for the offer. And yeah, sorry, sometimes the wilds are annoying when they won't let Trainers pass. This doll should work though.” She handed me a Pokedoll, which was shaped like a Clefairy and seemed to easily get rid of a Pokemon. Considering Roggenrola was a smaller Pokemon it should not be much of a problem. The huggable Clefairy seemed really cute to look at and also had a chain like cord that could enlarge it effectively. Suddenly I was given some instructions.

“There's a little string on the bottom there to inflate it. Then all you gotta do is set it down near Roggenrola and we should be good to go.” Ivy said. I tugged on it slightly and dropped it slowly to the rocky ground. It started to enlarge infront of the Roggenrola rocky creature and then we decided to sneak away. The doll enlarged quickly and Ivy and Haji decided to move quickly after a little sneak. Me and Darmanitan quickly followed. The atmosphere in the rocky Deckbi was really hot and sunny. I felt I should of not wear a t-shirt or just simply wear shorts. I hear they go well with youngsters. Therefore, I would not be as overheated as it seems. I started to sweat a little in the heat of things. Darmanitan on the other hand seemed to enjoy the excessive heat. That being it was a Fire type. The fiery monkey seemed to be content with the heat, however had a sudden Adamant change in personality. The ape Pokemon seemed to stomp the floor fiercely like King Kong as it bashed the grainy floor. Darmanitan did not seem the King Kong type but I felt he was stomping to harshly. I guess that Roggenrola before gave it an anger problem, however the ape creature needed calming down. I knew I could calm it down easily.

"Hey Darmanitan." I said. "Be careful. You do not wanna stomp the ground to hard. Diglett or something similar might burrow at you." We continued to walk up to a path with not much excitement going along. However, I noticed Ivy's eyes shift slightly. It was a Heatmor! It suddenly popped out of nowhere. It was a fiery Pokemon, which smogged through Mount Decki's terrain. It seemed a little lost. Heatmor had a vibrant red and orange-striped coat and looked like it came trom a production factory. Is piercely watched down its smooth grtay nose and snorted a few little flames at me. Similarly, Darmanitan also gazed at Heatmor and it's eyes zapped red. The fiery ape seemed to be angry for some reason and punched the ground in anger.

"Darmanitan!" I shouted. "Take it easy." I went over and stroked it's crimson arm and it started to calm down. Darmanitan only needed a hug from myself to remain calmer. Suddenly, I heard Ivy speak out.

“Are you the one destroying all the grass? ”Ivy asked me whilst she shook her head. “Want to fight this Heatmor?” At first I thought she was telling me off because Darmanitan, the fiery ape was punching the ground. However, I was relieved when she was on about a new encounter. I thought sure why not. Heatmor would make a great team member. Darmanitan already made good friends with my other Fire Pokemon such as Arcanine, Camerupt and Charizard. Therefore, a new friend for the fiery team of creatures is a good idea. Firstly, I needed a plan for the first assault on Heatmor. It seemed slow, however looks can be decieving. I believed a direct assault on the smokey Pokemon was a good idea. Darmanitan pierced its bright, yellow eyes at Heatmor and scraped the rocky, dirt beneath it. Heatmor in my head seemed like a sloth like Pokemon or should be like Sid the Sloth from Ice Age. I do not know why but it reminded me of the creature. Perhaps if I capture Heatmor I can name it Sid? Sure...

"Darmanitan use Stone Edge!" I shouted. I felt this was a good idea to use the terrain to my advantage. If this could hit well I could be careful later on. Weeding down its Hit Points was a good idea at first. However, if it does something radical it will be costly. But it was worth the attempt as much I love Darmanitan! The ape creature nodded with Adamant grin on its crimson head. Darmanitan always grinned and pierced its yellow eyes when it loved an idea we plotted together. Similar to my bond with Gengar. I loved it so much and could easily react effectively with it. I felt happy and smiled for a moment. I was pleased with my plan for a direct assault.

"Hey Ivy, what do you think?" I turned to Ivy and asked. I looked at Haji a little after. The Espeon seemed quite content with Mt.Deckbi, however seemed to know the area wisely. I was anticipating her reply because she was more professionally intact with Mount Deckbi than Botanical Gardens. Well that is what I assumed. I always admired her Espeon a lot because my own Espeon is just as cute as Ivy's Psychic partner.

    Ranger Ivy Frost

    ---

Chris took a few moments to think, but then he decided to battle the Heatmor. She didn't blame him, Darmanitan had gotten a sort of rage in his eyes at the sight of the other Pokémon, so she knew he at least wanted to fight. Maybe it was some sort of competition because Heatmor was a Fire-type too. Pokémon tended to get jealous like that.

While the Trainer was trying to calm his large fire monkey down, Heatmor took the challenge seriously and have a sort of grin as it scooted back. It raked its claws on the ground as it did, dragging the points keep into the earth and leaving deep rivets in the dirt. It pulled them out with a flourish, curling them toward its face in a pleased way, and Ivy saw the sun shine off of them like a well-polished blade. Sharpening its claws probably meant it was serious.

On that thought, Ivy and Haji backed up a little more, going to the other side of the road so the others could have some more space. The last thing she wanted to do was to get blasted by some attack on accident.

“Darmanitan, use Stone Edge!” the Trainer shouted, probably thinking to use some of the surroundings. There weren't too many rocks strewn about, but using those instead of making his own would save a little on energy. “Hey Ivy, what do you think?” he asked then, turning to look at her.

“Well,” she started, not really sure what to say since the battle hadn't even really started yet. She shrugged. “Stone Edge is powerful, but risky. Should do some damage to Heatmor if it hits for sure.”

Darmanitan then got ready to attack. There were four rocks that were semi by him, and with a powerful slam of his fists, he struck the ground and caused it to shake. The four rocks wobbled and rose with the impact, rising up in the air with that strange energy Pokémon seemed to emit when they attacked. Then, the monkey went around and hit all four toward the other Fire-type with a battle cry.

She rethought her earlier question about it being a jealousy thing. Maybe it was just a guy thing. Most of them liked to show off and dogfight with each other.

“I heard that,” a voice sounded in her mind. It caused a smile to come to her face though, as she could feel Haji's amusement in his words.

“Excluding you of course. You'd never show your manly pride in a brawl,” she said teasingly, and she could almost see the Espeon's smile, if he ever showed emotion on his face. She was glad she could see into the bond for that.

The Heatmor had been watching too, and when it saw the rocks rise, it let out a battle cry of its own, scraping its claws together as sparks flew off of them, seemingly proud of its own power. It threateningly spewed a stream of fire into the air before concentrating. Ivy saw steam rising from its pipes and knew it was heating something up.

Then the rocks came sailing toward it, but it didn't look worried at all. It took a deep breath and bellowed, and a powerful burst of fire erupted from it. The first rock that came close was incinerated on contact, blowing apart into ashes. That was pretty impressive for a burst of fire. Another rock was off more to the side, but being so close to the heat melted the side and flung it off course. The burst of fire was so powerful that edges of it even came back to hit Darmanitan.

The other two rocks were a little slower though, and they kept coming even after the fire had extinguished. One of them sailed into Heatmor's arm, and it bellowed again, in rage that it had been hurt. The other fell sort and swept its feet out from under it, sending it crashing onto its nose.

It snarled as it clawed its way back up, and Ivy knew it had a lot of fight in it yet.

I noticed Ivy acknowledged my movements and to why Darmanitan wanted to fight. She seemed to realise that my volcanic ape creature was raring to battle and had some sort of adamant temper. It must of been its nature or something because it always raged when it saw a wild pokemon opponent. Darmanitan did not seem to rest its eyes, which was filled with rage. It must of been jealous of other fire Pokemon. However, Darmanitan did not seem to argue with my other fire Pokemon such as Camerupt, or Infernape. In contrast Darmanitan did have a squabble before with Charizard but that was over a piece of cake I had left lying around. This was because me being my silly self left my Birthday Cake on the table outside after a celebrational bash with my family. Similarly, my Pokemon were also there, but Darmanitan and Charizard were the only ones who wanted the last slice of cake. It took no end of trouble seperating the two, I had to use Alakazam to use its psychic energy to remove both Pokemon away from each other. Therefore, Darmanitan does get jealous sometimes and stopping it from being angry only takes my soothing tongue to do so.

As I was trying to calm my Adamant Pokemon down, the large fire monkey noticed Heatmor was ready for the challenge. Heatmor seemed ready and scouted back for a moment, which snuck in a cheeky grin. I thought it was a very sneaky Pokemon that was overlooked in my opinion. I saw its potential just like any other trainer would in any of their Pokemon. I think it will be good friends and rivals with some of my Pokemon. Heatmor would keep Darmanitan on its toes in all training sessions because the rivalry would be too great. I watched carefull as Heatmor raked its claws along on Deckbi ground and leaving deep rivets within the dirt. Suddenly, the fire sloth pulled them out with a flourish, which curled towards its fiery face. Heatmor had a grin on its face when it did this manouvre. The sunny weather beamed brightly on its well-polished claws and revealed the creature's desire to battle. I noticed behind me when I tilted my head at Ivy and Haji. Both of them walked to the other side of the road so myself, Darmanitan, and Heatmor had more space to battle. (I assume) Therefore, Ivy and Haji would not be bombared with attacks or any other battle effects that may occur, which was smart of course. What else did I expect of my Ranger?

I then quickly turned back and saw Darmanitan use Stone Edge. Darmanitan looked at a nearby rock and thought about tossing it in the direction of Heatmor. The fiery ape creature was playing smart by using surrounding blocks because it would save power than creating is own solid rocks for the attack. I posed the question at Ivy and she responded quickly. "Well," she said. She seemed unsure because the battle had just started, however I like to keep intact with her because she was my guidance of some sort as well. Ivy shrugged her shoulders and replied. "Stone Edge is powerful, but risky. Should do some damage to Heatmor if it hits for sure." Therefore, by saying that I was certain that taking risks was sometimes a good idea or a bad idea. When its a good idea with Stone Edge is when it hits or does a Critical Hit. A Bad idea when it misses and then I curl up into a ball and cry because it was the match decider. Darmanitan readied the Stone Edge and slammed the rocky ground and the ground shook. My feet wobbled for a moment and then I noticed four rock wobbled. Suddenly, they arose and were then controlled by a weird mystical Darmanitan energy. Heatmor was pebbled and i noticed it cried in pain. I felt bad, however no pain, no game eh Heatmor? Going through my mind lately was being ditched by my best friend because of his new girlfriend. It made me wonder what ever happened to his treasured Machop. I bet that Pokemon was dropped for her as well or maybe she had a Pokemon that made Machop a new friend. I came to Mount Deckbi to get rid of these feelings and continue with my life without him. However, I feel like a hole is missing somewhere.

"Good job Darmanitan!" I shouted with some drawbacks because I felt upset. I felt bad taking it out on my fiery Pokemon or Ivy or anybody else. However, it made me feel like I did not deserve any friends at all in the outside world. Suddenly, Darmanitan looked behind itself towards me. It grinned as if it was enjoying itself. Most of my Pokemon inspired me but it was so hard to remove this clouded judgement. I looked back at Ivy and glimpsed her smiling for some reason. Perhaps she found Darmanitan a comedian in the making? I must admit Darmanitan was a funny creature to look at and he knew it. This is because in a battle against a Scizor once, he Fire Punched it and Knocked it out in one hit. I cheered in the past but I remember it doing something funny. It noticed a cheerleader and tackled her to ground for some reason. It grabbed her fluffy pomp pomps and then joined in the cheer leading gang. It was highly amusing until I faced rape charges... Anyways, my next plan against Heatmor needed to take action.

Heatmor seemed to scrap its claws alot lately and many sparks seem to charge off them. Heatmor looked very proud of its own power and grinned viciously. It appeared to want to spew out a stream or fire. I noticed steam quickly exhaling from its pipes and thought it would explode like a bomb. As Darmanitan sent more rocks towards it, Heatmor may have cried and all, but it did not seem phased at all. He took a deep breath and bellowed our a powerful burst of fire, which erupted from its pipe-like cylinders. The fiery incinerating attack seared the first rock away and blew it into ashes, which hailed to the ground. I was amazed by its ability to defend itself. Darmanitan noticed this defensive power and started to rage again. The rocks seemed to be melting or flung off course due to Heatmor's incinerating powers. Suddenly, shards of rock were backfired at Darmanitan. It groaned for a moment and fiery ape pierced its bright, yellow eyes. Heatmor was bashed by the rock on its fiery limb and it bellowed. It seemed to be very angry this time and then it was swept to the ground. Heatmor's nose fellt facedown into the ground.

"Good show Heatmor. I bet you still have a lot of fight left!" I shouted whilst I locked my hands together. I was determined to capture Heatmor and perhaps he could make this pain in my brain go away. I watched as Heatmor clawed its way back to its feet and it seemed very angry with me and Darmanitan. I needed to calm both my Pokemon and the Wild pokemon down somehow. I need a strategy because Heatmor seemed to be devastingly strong now after its clawing effects of Hone Claws. I would use Will-O-Wisp but fire types are not affected by this. Hmm.. I need a strategy quick! Oh I know! Darmanitan knows a very powerful attack, which could work somehow.

"Darmanitan use Encore!" I shouted. It could force Heatmor to Incinerate or something similar for a while. Therefore, if this powerful attack works we can work on defending you from any powerful attack it might counter with. I felt this was neccessary because Heatmor was very strong now after boosting its strong attack. I pointed at Heatmor and shouted another command to my fiery ape.

"If Encore works Darmanitan. I would like you to use Substitute!" I shouted. "That way we can play around with a monkey clone and maybe try to pin down Heatmor. I believed Substitute was also a good move as well because I had a good experience with the attack. This was evident within my run in Botanical Gardens with Gengar where the clone was very helpful in battling the wild, rampaging Snorlax. Therefore, why not try doing it again here? I felt it was neccessary and Darmanitan liked the idea as well... However, the rampaging ape seemed to want to attack on top of this as well.

"Hey Darmanitan what attack do you want to do?" I asked calmly. Darmanitan looked at with its bright, yellow eyes. It grinned evilly as it seemed to plot an attack it loved the most. The fiery ape slammed the ground with its giant fists. Then I knew what it wanted to really use! Darmanitan's favourite attack was Superpower. Therefore, it fitted this creature's personality to a strong "T" because my adamant Pokemon loved to rampage. Therefore, using Superpower would be a good strategy. I thought to myself I should remind my partner of the battle plan.

"Remember Darmanitan to use them in the right order! I know you can do it!" I shouted and waved. "It's Encore first, Substitute second, and lastly Superpower!" I smiled and pointed again at Heatmor. The slothly like creature seemed unphased by the commands I had shouted. Perhaps it had a way of avoiding these things somehow. Oh well let's try it out between Trainer and Pokemon bonds! Darmanitan started to clap its hand violently, which might echo across the battle field... I noticed behind my Ivy stood back some more to take cover along with Haji. Both of them appeared to always remain calm under pressure no matter what the situation. I guess they are known as badasses or whatever they call them these days. Gosh I am getting old! :( Oh well let's see if this strategy works. I believe it can and I know Darmanitan is fired up for the assault as well. I just hoped it does not do anything carelessly in this rampaging rage. But Darmanitan seemed to have cooled down a little after our chat.

"You can do Darmanitan!" I shouted. Darmanitan turned to me and grinned again and winked. That wink means the fiery ape understood the plan and wanted to execute it completely. This reminded me of the past when we battled an Ambipom before. We would use forceful attacks and cause massive damage whilst having a plan in sights. Darmanitan stuck to them and helped me defend my Gym against this trainer with out strategies!

    Ranger Ivy Frost

    ---

Chris looked impressed with the Heatmor, and she was glad. If he didn't like it, he could always swap it out for something different that he caught later on, but she hated seeing someone so excited about something and then only finding out that they're disappointed. Ivy believed that all Pokémon had a potential. They just needed to be in the right place at the right time.

The Heatmor wasn't as impressed with them though. In fact, it didn't seemed fussed at all. From the motions it made, rocking back from foot to foot, she thought it looked rather impatient to get moving. Hasty Pokémon were sometimes hard to control since they didn't like to wait. Maybe that trait would be this one's downfall.

Chris seemed lost in thought for a moment, maybe thinking about life or just what to do next. Either way, he managed a command for the fiery ape. “Darmanitan, use Encore!” he yelled.

In theory, Encore would flatter the target, making them want to keep showing off the move they did or ones similar to it. It was tricky though, as not all Pokémon liked to show off and repeat actions. Sometimes it didn't work. In battles, she sort of thought it cheap, like sleep moves. Definitely wasn't her favorite.

“If Encore works, I would like you to use Substitute,” he said next. She remembered the last time he used it, fighting the Snorlax in the Botanic Gardens with his Gengar. It had been pretty effective.

He then asked his Pokémon what he wanted to do, and from the look on his face, Chris seemed to know what he wanted. A lot of Pokémon had moves they favored over the others. Some, due to just the personality they had, liked to use only moves it knew naturally. Others liked to use moves taught from the disks called Technical Machines. It varied between each individual.

Superpower seemed to be Darmanitan's move of choice. It was a very powerful move, but it took a lot of energy to use, so it left the user a little tired and unguarded after. He'd have to be careful. Chris reminded him of the order he wanted the attacks to go, and then the monkey got to work.

Darmanitan suddenly clapped his two large hands together, aided by calls, seemingly cheering for the Heatmor. The other Fire-type looked pleased for a moment, but from the glint in its eye, Ivy knew it hadn't fallen for it. Heatmor launched a stream of fire to the sky in challenge, and then it started rushing for the Darmanitan. Was it baiting him, wanting him to think he had fallen for it?

The monkey, thinking it had worked, went into the second part of the plan. With energy spent, he stepped out of copy of himself. This one was roughly the same size instead of the mini Gengar that happened last time. They looked identical in shape, although the copy was a bit lighter, like a washed-out version. That made sense, since it could only do a fraction of what the real thing could do.

Then the Darmanitan caught sight of the charging Heatmor and readied his favorite attack. The copy stood on stand by as it didn't know what to do, which was probably for the best. Ivy didn't want it getting in the way and getting destroyed before it even got to do anything.

Both Pokémon got ready to attack each other. Heatmor's claws were cloaked in a murky shadow that was purple and black-tinted, sort of like the type of energy Gastly had floating around them. It pulled its arm back in preparation to strike, and Darmanitan prepared as well. He pulled his arms in close, sort of like a football player did, and readied to slam into Heatmor, taking off at a run as well.

The two impacted just as Heatmor pulled his arm down to slice, and the two ricocheted off each other, each tumbling in different directions. Heatmor rolled through the dirt and managed to roll up onto his feet, panting a little and holding one of his arms in toward his chest. It could be injured a bit from the look of it, she thought.

Darmanitan rolled back toward his copy, and he was breathing hard too, expending energy for making the Substitute and then getting hit with that attack. Chris would have to be careful.

I turned my head sideways for a moment and slipped my eyes towards Ivy who had moved far away out of the battle zone. She seemed to be thinking really hard, perhaps too much with her life. Or perhaps she was acknowledging my actions carefully? Whatever Ivy had on her mind she could talk to me anytime! I am here for people and perhaps my newest friend just needed a hug or something... Similarly, a nice long chat! I watched carefully forwards again at the fiery sloth, and Heatmor did not seem fussed about anything. It kept rocking back and forth from foot to foot and seemed really impatient. I wondered what was wrong with fiery sloth like creature. In my opinion it seemed a little hasty and would seem to be hard to control if was captured. Perhaps its downfall could be worked on as a team and would probably clash with Darmanitan. This is because it had an Adamant nature and was always sure with things. That is what makes my Darmanitan different to other Pokemon because it has such confidence compared to a lot of Pokemon.

Next I shouted to my Darmanitan to use Encore. I hoped it would flatter Heatmor to use its attack again and show off some more of its power. However, it depended on the Pokemon targetted. I know the move seemed cheap and all, however might as well use it when you can because you would fail without the abusage. Notable mentions were what made Alakazam and Whimsicott much more powerful to most Pokemon when they had the ability to Encore effectively. However, I also wanted Darmanitan to use Substitute because it worked well within my last park run with my Gengar. For example, creating copies or the actual Pokemon was effective for battle because it could create unique strategies. I was hopeful with the energy cut, however I needed to be careful because I cut down Darmanitan's health for this cloned, fiery monkey and needed it to work effectively. In theory it was up to my Pokemon's decision therefore I asked him what he wanted to do. I looked at the monkey's face and it had that special grin and knew what to do. Therefore, I also planned its favourite move Superpower directly after the Substitute. Perhaps I should of commanded a different move... but I anticipated how it planned out.

Darmanitan clapped its large, yellow pawed hands together. Random loud cheers echoed around Heatmor as it was being cheered on. Heatmor seemed pleased with the Encore and I noticed its eye started to tingle. It appeared my strategy failed... Suddenly, I noticed a large stream of fire rushing towards Darmanitan... My Pokemon seemed to think the strategy had worked and I was convinced it had as well. Therefore, it continued to split energy for a Substitute. An exact copy of Darmanitan appeared, however was a lot fainter to the real version because it was a clone. Suddenly, I noticed a charging Heatmor and I saw the fiery monkey apply Superpower. I felt stupid because I did not order the copy to do anything at all. My bad, oh well mistakes are mad sometimes. Darmanitan and Heatmor both attacked each other. Heatmor's sharp claws were cloaked in murky shadows, which was purple and black tinted. Perhaps a ghost move? Either way I was shocked it was attacking because I thought the strategy had worked effectively! I watched carefully as its claws were sliced down at Darmanitan as it charged towards Heatmor with Superpower. I saw a large slam between the two and Heatmor dashed through the Deckbi dirt and panted a little. It seemed injured but was severely in tact with fighting back. I am kind of worried I was too careless with my strategy. Perhaps the outside world was getting to me more than I wanted it to. I noticed Heatmor and held one of its arms to its chest and appeared to pant a little longer. I did feel bad for it but it was the only way to make it a part of my Pokemon fighting crew. I watched Darmanitan roll back next to the copied Darmanitan and started to breath heavily as well. Perhaps expanding all this energy for the Substitute was a too big of a stretch to make... I had to be careful with my next moves or strategies before it gets too deadly!

"Darmanitan and Darmanitan clone... Be careful!" I shouted loudly to the team. I felt worried they would take too much damage by being reckless. I mean an Adamant Pokemon always certain they would always hit and thought they was always alright. Darmanitan seemed a little heated up compared to Heatmor who remained calm. I felt it was neccessary to go into a double strike! I felt this was the most affective strategy. I looked at my fiery ape and he seemed raring to go!

"Darmanitan use Brick Break!" I shouted. "Darmanitan clone also use Brick Break!" Let's give this Heatmor a double team good show. I thought this might work because Heatmor seemed to like battling with force more than non hitting moves. However, that was all in my head and who knows what might happen in the long run. I believed both the Darmanitan twins can help capture this new member of our team! I felt this way about all my Pokemon because it brings out all their determination if I encourage them. For example, Gengar achieved this in my very first park run in the Botanical Gardens. Without her, we would of never captured Snorlax! ALSO THESE DAMN BOTS ON AIM MESSENGER ANNOY ME A LOT OKAY. I felt it was necessary to shout this off inside my brain at the time. Anyways, I tilted my head slightly toward Ivy and Haji they both seemed ok but deep inside I felt she was distracted. Was it the area? Was it my actions? Or was it something else? So many questions. Perhaps this should just be a Harry Potter Book. In my head was my own problems, but I felt it was necessary to keep an eye on Ivy as well because I seem to worry about others. But I guess we should press on with the battle.

Chris looked a little bummed that his strategy didn't work out exactly as planned, but he bounced back quickly. After a few moments of thinking he came up with something for both Darmanitan and the clone to do. He called for a Brick Break, thinking that both of them attacking together would work.

In theory this sounded good, but the Heatmor could have a few tricks up its sleeve yet. It seemed to just be watching for now, its eyes sliding back and forth between the two fire monkeys as it debated what it should do next. Its claws clenched and unclenched absently, their sharpness still showing by how the sun glinted off of them.

Then, both Darmanitan took off toward the other Fire-type, and Heatmor just watched. It seemed to be concentrating on doing something, but Ivy couldn't tell what. She couldn't see anything moving, and it didn't seem to be doing an attack using its body.

Then both monkeys got closer, and the Heatmor cried out and jerked both of its arms to the side. Dusty vines broke out of the sandy ground on that command, wrapping around both of the targets' legs right before they reached Heatmor. Both Darmanitan lurched as they were sent hurtling forward, their arms flailing. Heatmor was knocked back a few feet from the impact, and dust kicked up under its feet.

Then, it reared its head back and did some sort of howl at the sky. The sun shone brighter in response, coating the ground in a white glow. The vines responded tot he light and grew, threading themselves around both the clone and the real thing, hooking around their limbs and weaving back into the ground to trap them on their stomaches.

Then the Heatmor smirked, and with a stylish twist, he scraped his claws against the ground and disappeared into a hole he dug, just like a drill. It vanished from sight, and there was no noise to detect where it was going to pop up.

With both of his Pokémon trapped, Chris was going to have to think on this one.

I bounced back quickly and watched carefully as my strategy unfolded. Both Darmanitan were ordered to Brick Break together as a team. I believed it was a good idea, however I was also anxious it would fail. Similarly, I needed to change my attitude to the strategy that was unleashed and be more postive. Heatmor looked as if it had numerous tricks up its eleeves and I noticed it watched carefully the Darmanitan and the Substitute Darmanitan. Its eyes started to slide left-to-right and debated what it should do next. I noticed this because I watched Heatmor carefully myself because I wanted my tactics to work effectively. As I viewed the fiery sloth sharply its sharp claws clenched and unclenched for a moment. The sun shone brightly across those claws and reflected brightly towards me.

"That Heatmor seems to have swag!" I shouted. I guess this was a typical speech for a British person like myself. I said this because Heatmor seemed to be cool, calm and collected, which I admired about it. As I glared in the direction of Heatmor it seemed to be concentrating on doing something... but what is what worries me because I had no clue! It was exciting to watch such a powerful looking fire Pokemon like the fiery sloth. I admired it and wanted it to become my friend quicker! The only to do this was to capture it! Suddenly, I noticed both the Darmanitan duo storm quickly towards Heatmor and it jerked loudly its arms to one side. I was worried at this point because the fiery creature had plotted a plan for so long and seemed to know my every move! Dusty vines spouted up from the Deckbi ground and wrapped around both Darmanitan's legs before hitting Heatmor. I started to grit my teeth in worry as my attack seemed to fail yet again! Suddenly, their arms swung in the direction of Heatmor... Therefore, it was impacted towards the ground and dust flicked up at its feet. It seemed eager to keep up and attack back. I was proud of my Darmanitan's attempts and decided to cheer them on.

"Well done Team Darmanitan!" I shouted. I was proud of them but worried at the same time as they seemed to be trapped by the dusty vines. I looked carefully at Heatmor and noticed it stare at the sky and seemed to appear to howl at the brightly lit sky. I was worrying more because Darmanitan had lost so much health. I needed to narrow its health down more. Suddenly, I noticed my fiery monkey Pokemon started to glow in a bright spherical light... It turned into a new creature... It was brightly blue coloured and looked like a sphere psychic statue. This was known as Darmanitan Zen Mode, which was a very defensive technique only Darmanitan knew. Now my double team consisted of the Psychic Zen and Substitute Darmanitan.

"Hey guys, let's bombard Heatmor again. Substitute monkey grab Heatmor and hold it still as much as possible. Then, I want the Zen Mode Darmanitan to blast a Psychic in the direction of Heatmor. Once the attack nearly lands, Substitute Darmanitan move out of they way!" I shouted and breathed throughout the sentences. Heatmor kept moving around a lot so I found stopping it might be a good idea.

    Ranger Ivy Frost

    ---

Chris praised his monkey team even though the attack didn't work quite like he planned. Ivy liked to see that. It didn't do a Trainer any good to bring down their Pokémon. The creatures were the ones doing all the work, after all. It wasn't her place to ever berate a Trainer for how they did things, but sometimes she wanted too. She thought of the poor Pokémon and had to do something.

Then in response to the damage he received, Darmanitan started to change. Energy shimmered around him, and his body started to fade to a blue color. The mist coated him, and when it dissipated, a statue-like Pokémon was in his place. This was something called Zen Mode, an ability that Darmanitan used when it was getting low on health. He was more like a wall this way, able to defend himself better. His limbs were all shrunken into himself, and his eyebrows were cut off at the stubs. Those were the only red things remaining on him; the rest of him had been painted blue. The only thing unfortunate about this form was not being very mobile. Chris shouldn't have too much trouble though, considering he still had the substitute running around.

Chris then came up with a plan and shared it with his Pokémon. “Hey guys, let's bombard Heatmor again. Substitute monkey grab Heatmor and hold it still as much as possible. Then, I want the Zen Mode Darmanitan to blast a Psychic in the direction of Heatmor. Once the attack nearly lands, Substitute move out of the way!” he called.

That was a good plan, but it was going to be hard to tell where Heatmor was going to pop out at, since it was still currently burrowing under the ground. It was always nerve-wracking when they had to wait for a move to be made. Thankfully, they were able to untangle themselves from the vines, which was fortunate, otherwise this plan wouldn't work at all. Heatmor hadn't put a lot of energy into them apparently.

Still, the two prepared for when it would come out, and there was quiet on the field as dust blew around. Then, the ground started rumbling, and in a flash, a burrow appeared under the Zen Mode Pokémon. The Heatmor came sailing out, knocking Darmanitan away from its spot a few feet. He righted himself with a stiff tilt, and then the copy went out to catch the Heatmor.

Since the other Fire-type was running from the real Darmanitan, he didn't see the sub come up behind him. Like instructed, it grabbed hold of Heatmor and didn't let go. Then, Zen's eyes glowed, and a Psychic blast came hurtling at the pair. At the last second, the copy bailed, throwing itself off to the side as the Heatmor was swept off his feet.

The copy got up at the same time Heatmor scrambled to his feet, and in a rage he howled up at the sun. He brought his snout down with a jerk, and it glowed a greenish gold. With a cry, he shot a beam of energy at the copy, blasting it so it was sent sprawling again. Ivy could tell the Solarbeam had damaged the copy quite a bit, but at least it wasn't the real one. Zen had already gotten damaged from the dig. The sub probably couldn't take much more damage though, so Ivy hoped Chris was going to try and capture soon.

I wanted my plan before to work effectively because it was time to capture Heatmor now. I felt Ivy was worried I would never make an appearance again, if you know what I mean! Anyways, I noticed that Heatmor burrowed underground and was planning a Dig like attack. My hands started to shake a little in shock because Darmanitan clone and Darmanitan Zen are both pretty tired and needed a rest. Alas, I believed they could press on because my faith I have in them will hopefully prevail over Heatmor's assault! There was no telling where Heatmor would dig up from... but I have to be ready for it. Therefore, making my strategy harder because of this problem. Then both Darmanitan were able to untangle themselves from the vines that Heatmor did not seem to put enough energy into them. This was such a relief because it would mean my plan would work more effectively!

Heatmor suddenly burrowed up from under the ground and bashed the copy Darmanitan. I noticed it seemed weak; however it then dashed towards Heatmor and grabbed him. That was the first part of my plan working here, and I needed Zen Darmanitan to blast it. The Psychic blast swept Heatmor off its feet. I shouted to them "Good Job!" Suddenly, Heatmor howled and a giant beam of light flashed in the direction of the copy Pokemon!

"Darmanitan clone! Hang in there!" I shouted. "We will keep you running and win this battle!" I was hoping my words would keep encouraging it. Therefore, I needed to either come up with a strategy or capture Heatmor... Well attempt to capture. Similarly, I could probably do both and manipulate the battle. I needed a plan first! Then, I thought of something! Closely I watched Heatmor and then I turned to my Darmanitan friends. Since the Substitute Darmanitan was so tired perhaps it could be used as a distraction whilst my other Darmanitan blasts it with a Flamethrower attack.

“Darmanitan clone!” I shouted. “How about using Taunt right now?” I pointed towards Heatmor and shouted with plenty of enthusiasm. The Clone Darmanitan did seem tired and worn down… However, it could be used as distraction technique on Heatmor.

“Next Zen Darmanitan,” I shouted instructions too. “Once Heatmor is distracted by Taunt, I want you to quickly dash in and use Flamethrower! This will work if we all pull together because we’re a perfect Team!” Darmanitan Zen turned around to me and nodded and its stone like eyes were ready to follow my command. Even though my statue monkey was very adamant, however it liked to storm into attacks quickly. I was very excited to have this work.

I closed my eyes for a brief moment and reached to my pocket… there was a Hyper Ball there. I clenched it with my hand and pulled it out. “Let’s go Team, execute this mission and start it off! Darmanitan Clone use Taunt! Darmanitan Zen use Flamethrower after Heatmor has lost concentration!” I was hoping this would work a lot! Then if this works I will throw the Hyper Ball towards Heatmor!

    Ranger Ivy Frost

    ---

At first Ivy wasn't sure that Chris was going to snap out of whatever trance he had been in. It took some time, as if he was buried in thought after thought and had to sift through all of them to come back into focus. She could've almost sworn that the mountain even cooled off from its harsh temperature for a little while. Of course that had to be false, as the sun was shining and she could feel the intense rays beat down on her long, red hair.

Then, the moment was over, and Chris had come up with a plan. He was trying to keep the clone alive while capturing the wild Fire-type Pokemon. The copy was very low on energy though, so Ivy wasn't sure how much longer it could last.

“Darmanitan clone!” Chris shouted to get it's attention. “How about using Taunt right now?” he asked, pointing toward their target. The Ranger had her doubts of it surviving this battle, but it could at least be used as bait for the wild Pokemon. He would need his own Pokemon for future encounters.

The clone nodded, seemingly resigned to its fate. That was, if it even felt anything. She wasn't really sure. Moves like Substitute and Double Team weren't ones she regularly used either in battle or on her own Park adventures.

“Next, Zen Darmanitan,” he called to his stationary Pokemon. It had remained mostly unmoving this whole time due to its statue-like form. Since it was pretty much a giant rock with carved features, mobility wasn't his strong suit. “Once Heatmor is distracted by Taunt, I want you to quickly dash in and use Flamethrower! This will work if we all pull together because we're a perfect team!”

It was nice to see that he was confident in their ability to work together. That was really the only way to succeed. Pokemon and Trainers had to team up to conquer obstacles. However, she did doubt the real Darmanitan's ability to do anything quickly, least of all 'dash in' anywhere. Still, it wasn't her place to comment on the tactics that people chose. She was just here to watch.

Immediately, the clone started stomping in place, trying to attract the Heatmor's attention. It screeched as it slapped the ground, making dust float up in puffs around it. The other Fire-type turned in time to see the clone stick its tongue out, and that seemed to be the last straw for the Heatmor. Ivy recognized that peeved look in his eyes, and the sun glinted off his sharp claws as he tensed his body to go after the copy.

She turned to the real Darmanitan and saw that he was struggling to comply with the orders he had been given. Due to being a statue, he couldn't move as swiftly as he could normally, like his clone could. Still, he wanted to succeed, so Ivy watched as he charged up a fire attack. His eyes glowed with heat. Since he couldn’t get closer, the fire was going to have to be a lot stronger to make the distance.

Unfortunately, this took a little more time than they had planned. Before the real Darmanitan could finish charging, Heatmor lunged and struck the clone hard with a vicious slash. The clone was knocked backward, and it even spun around a few times before falling backward. It had time for a pleased smile before it faded away into the dust.

When the Heatmor turned back to the other one, he was met head-on with a powerful Flamethrower. Fire billowed from the statue in a powerful burst, and the anteater was consumed in fire. He slashed at the air as he tried to get the flames off of him. Even though his natural typing resisted fire normally, he was tired and low on energy, and even this element was enough to hurt him.

Chris didn't waste any time after that. He pulled out a Hyper Ball and let it fly through the air while the Heatmor was busy. She watched as it hit the anteater on the head, and after a second, that red beam of light sucked him up into the device. It fell to the dusty ground and shook violently, as was his nature.

Then, it clicked, and they all breathed a sigh of relief.

“Great job,” she said to Chris, offering him a smile. “That's one down, and you're not even that far along in your run. I have a feeling some other great Pokemon are going to show up soon. Where to now?” she asked. They were still on the road with all the scorched and flattened grasses. They weren't even really to the mountain yet. Once they were there, they had the choice of heading up to the top or threading through the caves.

She went to pocket the device as she waited for Chris to make a decision. It wouldn't be long until they'd have to choose a route. It'd also be a prime time for him to heal up if he had any potions. She wasn't sure if he did, though, and she didn't think Darmanitan had many ways of healing himself. That would mean he'd revert to Zen Mode every time he was in battle. Hopefully Chris would keep that in mind.

    @WinterVines

I watched eagerly as my Pokemon followed the orders and strategy in mind. I noticed Ivy watched very closely at my relationship between me and Darmanitan. Like, she witnessed with me and Crobat in the Gardens. Anyways, Darmanitan clone stomped the flattened grass and stomped into place. It appeared to attract Heatmor’s attention quite quickly and stuck its tongue out at Heatmor. The fiery sloth like Pokemon brightened it claws and launched in the direction of Darmanitan clone.

On the other hand, I completely forgot how slower Zen monkey was… Therefore, the Psychic ape Pokemon took longer to follow the plan, however I was routing for him all the way! Suddenly, I saw him charge up the heat and tried to get closer. But, failed to get nearer. Unexpectedly, I saw Heatmor lunge through the air and struck down my Darmanitan clone. I watched carefully and was quite upset, but happy. This is because it had worked so hard to wither down Heatmor!

“Now Heatmor is distracted how about a flame royal, Flamethrower?” I shouted and smiled as I watched the Flamethrower spray at anteater Heatmor and was slashed through the air. I noticed Ivy watching, but I tried not to focus as much on her and keep my battle face on! Then, I pulled my Hyper Ball out and let fly towards Heatmor, I watched it bounce and bash him on the head. I observed the light sucking up Heatmor and saw the ball rolling around on the ground.

I was praying it captured the anteater Heatmor and it kept wriggling around violently. “Come on, please join my team Heatmor!” Then, suddenly it clicked! I gleamed with joy and jumped into the air. Zen Darmanitan sat quietly on the Deckbi ground and did not make any movements or emotions because he was a blue, statue.

“Great job,” Ivy said to me with a smile. “That’s one down, and you’re not even that far along in your run. I have a feeling some other great Pokemon are going to show up soon. Where to now?” she asked me. I turned back to Ivy and smiled back and casually threw thumbs up… because I am hardcore. Ivy pulled out of her pocket a device and she then glazed at Darmanitan Zen because he was tired. Even as a Statue!

“I have a feeling we should go straight to where Pokemon are hiding most!” I shouted whilst I clenched my fist. “Let’s go straight to the caves! That should be quite scary, but exciting!” I quickly grabbed Darmanitan Zen’s Pokeball and beamed it back to its home. Whilst looking at the flattened ground I decided to let Ivy lead the way for me, so we can continue this adventure and head towards the next battle!

“Lead the way Ivy,” I said to my Ranger. “Be gentle with me towards these caves!”

“I have a feeling we should go straight to where the Pokemon are hiding most!” Chris shouted as he returned his Darmanitan to his Pokeball. He was definitely still full of energy, no matter how long that battle had taken. “Lead the way, Ivy,” he said, saying he wanted to go to the caves.

There was a lot of Pokemon there, she knew. A lot of people wanted to traverse up the mountainside instead of navigating through the cave. She could count on one hand the number of times she had been through the cave on official expeditions. She had traveled through herself a couple more times than that due to special projects and just general patrolling.

She and Haji started to continue up the path, having to put a little more effort into the hike as the path started to incline. Eventually they came to a small leveled platform that offered the main split in the path. The one on the left led to one of the ways up the mountainside. From there it would split off again a few times, and then eventually there were only jagged rocks to follow. The one on the right led into a darkened cavern.

Before she could head down the right path, a little rumble under her feet made her pause. She stepped back as the soil broke where she had been standing. With a poof of dust, a small brown mole came out of the ground. “Diglett!” it called.

“Well, here's another one,” Ivy said to Chris. “Want to catch this one?”

When I suggested the caves, Ivy seemed to be quite familiar with the area of the dark caves. She could have met the same Pokemon in previous Park adventures. Now that would be a interesting story. Ivy and Haji both started to continue up the path and bounced quicker due to the incline of the rocky path. I stumbled for a moment and then caught up slowly behind them. As I was behind them both I kept looking over Haji because he was so cute and powerful. Definitely, Contest material and top Battle Partner. I love my Espeon a lot but Haji was one of a kind!

“Ouch,” I squeaked because I tripped up a jagged rock and then followed Ivy and co into towards the darkened cavern. Suddenly, Ivy stopped and looked down to her. She stood back quickly as the soil broke up from beneath her. I saw a small mole Pokemon with a round pink nose and it shouted “Diglett!” It was so cute; however I have a Dugtrio already. Therefore, I have to try and distract it to escape…

“Well, here’s another one,” Ivy said to me. “Want to catch this one?” Diglett appeared friendly but I was not interested this time. I would feel upset if I took this cute darling from its territory, unlike Heatmor because it was a mischief!

“I’ll pass on this one Ivy,” I shouted to her. “I know Diglett are fast, but perhaps it might leave if we leave in peace!” I was speculating a lot, but it might be worth it… If not I will buy a Pokedoll! $52500 - 500 = 52000
