    @Fossil Fusion; Capture didn't work :(

    “Metagross,” Chris called. “Use Bullet Punch quickly.” The Trainer was going to try to strike the bug fast. If he could stun her enough, she might lose focus on the flames. Ivy supposed that could be both good and bad though. She might not make them flare up, but it didn't mean they would dissipate either.

    As the steel behemoth readied his limb, Chris reached into his pocket to pull out a Hyper Ball, looking for a good time to throw. The Metagross streaked forward, and that was when the Trainer let the device fly.

    The Steel-type's extended fist led the way as it tried to attack the bug. Ivy flinched a little when it came close to touching the fire, but thankfully it managed to get in between the two sides of the fire circle before they could enclose the Pokemon fully. The blue crab's arm hit the bug squarely, sending her flying back into the volcano wall again. She didn't look too pleased about it.

    Then, she caught sight of the ball flying through the air. Moving fast, she darted forward, and the device sailed over her head, landing close to the wall, empty. Instead, she rushed head and jumped, landing on the Metagross's face. She then spring-boarded backward, putting force behind her kick.

    It was enough to push the Steel-type backward, and Ivy flinched as Metagross went spinning into the fire. It cried out as it touched the flames, and in its haste to get away from the heat, it backed up right into the circle of fire. This time it was surrounded and more injured to boot.

    “Looks like that ball didn't work,” Ivy said. “As long as it stays over by the wall, though, it shouldn't break. You might be able to pick it up after.”

    The Larvesta was at the end of the line, so she was going to fight that much harder. Chris needed to save his Pokemon soon.

    @WinterVines;

    Metagross used Bullet Punch quickly on Larvesta, Luckily, I saw it did not strike its fiery flames. As my steel Pokemon did this Bullet Punch, I readied my Hyper Ball. Metagross’ Bullet Punch attack had luckily got between the two fire circles and it hit Larvesta squarely. I watched as she went flying into the volcanic wall again. Larvesta’s eyes turned fierce and she was not pleased.

    I watched as my Hyper Ball soared through the air, in the direction of Larvesta. It sailed straight over he head, and landing close to the wall.

    “Derp, not good,” I shouted. “I can do this!” Suddenly, Larvesta rushed and jumped on Metagross’ face. She did a spring backward kick and Metagross. I watched carefully as my steel crab was injured. My Metagross went spinning backward into the fire. I felt as guilty as the Ember attack torched Metagross.

    “No Metagross,” I cried, and worried.

    “Looks like that ball didn’t work,” Ivy Said. “As long as it stays over by the wall, though, it shouldn’t break. You might be able to pick it up after.”

    I needed to save Metagross soon, and I had a plan to I guess.

    “Metagross, use Psychic on the Hyper Ball,” I shouted. “That way we can retrieve it to us.” I was hoping this would work.

    “Meta,” Metagross nodded in pain.

    “Then, use Psychic on Larvesta!” I shouted. “However, only use it to hold her in place at a good distance, so I can throw the ball.”

    I waited for the Hyper Ball to return, and will immediately throw it…

    @Fossil Fusion; I just went ahead and ended it since this was your last encounter. I'll mention you in the claims thread too.

    Chris winced as the fire singed his Metagross, knowing he needed to save his Pokemon. The steel behemoth was a bit stuck where it was. It wasn't wise to try and get out of the fire, since that would just result in more damage. However, the Trainer got an idea once he saw the Hyper Ball left by the wall.

    “Metagross, use Psychic on the Hyper Ball,” he called, planning on having the Steel-type fling the ball back to him. Then, he could try to throw it again. “Then, use Psychic on Larvesta!” he shouted, wanting Metagross to hold the bug still while he threw. That would probably solve that missing problem that happened before.

    The crab's eyes glowed a light blue color as the fallen Hyper Ball became surrounded in the same aura. The device came flying back to the Trainer, and he caught it stylishly, poised to throw it at the Larvesta again when Metagross was ready.

    Again, the Pokemon's eyes glowed as it fixed on the bug. She cried out as she was risen into the air, snagged in that same blue energy that the ball had been. Ivy knew from experience that Psychic, even when it was used ti immobilize like this, still caused a bit of mental strain and exhaustion. That should help Chris make this capture even more.

    With careful aim, the Trainer thew the ball. This time it didn't miss, and it sucked the Larvesta up in a beam of red light. The device fell to the dirt and barely shook before lighting up in the center.

    “Awesome job,” Ivy said as she went over to retrieve it. When the Larvesta disappeared, the flames did too, leaving the field safe for walking.

    After that, Chris's journey was over. With a nod to Haji, the purple cat warped them all back to the outpost, where she made sure to get the Trainer's three captures rerecorded with his Trainer ID number. Then, she said goodbye as he departed, hoping he had a good time. She had, despite being in Deckbi for the umpteenth time. Maybe her next run would be somewhere cooler...
