Felix, at first, appeared horrified that Larvesta had managed to utilize such an attack, and rightly so. Belle, being a Dragon/Flying hybrid, must have taken a massive amount of damage from the Ice-oriented Hidden Power. Oddly enough, after staring at the scene a moment, his dismayed look slowly formed into a wide grin. “Belle, let's end this!” the Trainer called out, then pointed towards the Whirlpool that housed Larvesta, “Head to the base of the Whirlpool and use Ice Punch!”

As the quickened Dragonite rushed towards her target, an imaginary lightbulb lit up in Makina's mind as she realized what the team was up to; they were planning to cage the Larvesta! While the ice would melt in no time thanks to the volcanic environment and the wild Pokemon being a Fire-type, the rain would lengthen the time needed to thaw out it's prison.

As she approached the Whirlpool's base, Belle balled up a fist in preparation for a strike. She gave a serene grin as an icy rime formed about her hand- an odd sight to see on the Dragonite. Once Belle flew into range, she struck the water with her fist, and immediately the water began to freeze in place.

While Larvesta had not been in the water at the time, the waves that were striking him froze into place, turning into small icicle spikes. Due to leftover inertia from the storm, the interior area moved at an impressive speed for a moment longer, causing the spikes to slash at the Larvesta's form. The wild Pokemon let out a a cry of pain as the attack struck.

Felix, at this point, had pulled out another Parkball. However, thanks to the ice wall now trapping Larvesta, it was impossible to strike the Pokemon with a Ball. Noticing this, the Trainer tossed the sphere over to his Dragonite, “Belle, help me out here!”

The Dragonite gracefully caught the Parkball in mid-air, then flew up towards the upper area of the frozen Whirlpool. Once she was directly below the center, Belle dropped the capture device below towards the weakened Larvesta.

Through the ice wall, the group was clearly able to see Larvesta being sucked into the Parkball in a red light. The Ball shook feebly a few times, then grew still. While Makina had not heard the usual pinging sound, the fact that Larvesta had not broken free yet was a clear sign that it was a successful capture.

“Fantastic job,” Makina said while grinning over at Felix, then directed her attention towards the ice in the way. Let's see here... this ought to do the trick! She pulled two Pokeballs of her own off of her belt, and was aiming it forward. “Rezi, Argent, a little help here, please?”

The Pokeballs opened, the white lights revealing yet another draconic creature, this one sporting two impressive-looking tusks from the sides of it's mouth. The Haxorus stretched out her limbs, then looked over at her partner. She didn't appear too happy about the rain still pouring around them, but said nothing. The second one revealed an avian Pokemon that appeared to be made entirely out of steel.

“Use Incinerate to slowly thaw the ice in front of us,” Makina called out to Rezi, then looked over at the Skarmory, “Argent, head into the center and retrieve the Ball before the thaw caused it to roll away.” The last thing they wanted was the sphere to get lost or, even worse, roll into a lava crevice!

Rezi shrugged in response, and opened her maw as a thin stream of flames shot forth, stopping just short of the ice and slowly melting it in the process. Meanwhile, Argent took to the skies with a metallic-sounding cry, searching for a way to enter the whirlpool. After discovering the opening at the top, the Skarmory swooped down and plucked up the Ball just as the last of the interior was starting to melt. The water began to pool forth, and Makina recalled the Haxorus before the Pokemon ended up even more soaked. Argent, in turn, hovered directly above the Ranger and dropped down the ball towards her.

“Nice job, you two,” Makina said, recalling Argent and placing Larvesta's Ball into her pack alongside the other two Parkballs. Once that was done, she looked over at Felix. “Thankfully, most of the water should evaporate, especially once this rain ends.” she also added, “You've reached your third capture. You can only leave with three caught Pokemon at the end of the run, but you are perfectly free to capture more and pick out which ones you wish to leave with.”

"Yes!" I shouted excitedly as I realized that the Pokeball had stopped and the Larvesta had been captured.

Belle seemed happy as well. She began flying circles over us to celebrate.

I looked up and said, "Belle, you did great! Thank you."

As the Dragonite landed before me, I took out her Pokeball and recalled it into it. Still, now we have to find a way to get that Parkball out of that ice cage. Luckily, the Ranger was prepared. She sent her Pokemon out, Haxorous and Skarmory, and through teamwork they managed to retrieve the Parkball.

The Ranger looked towards me and explained to me my choices. I thought about it for a moment and then looked back at the Ranger.

"I got more out of this experience than I ever thought. I'll just stop here now. I need to get home and talk to my Infernape and my Arcanine. After this, I know I can train them better," I said with a calm voice. It was clear that now I felt at peace.

"Thank you for your help."

Felix appeared to think carefully over what Makina had just told him. After a moment, he finally replied, "I got more out of this experience than I ever thought. I'll just stop here now. I need to get home and talk to my Infernape and my Arcanine. After this, I know I can train them better," Felix stated in a calm voice. "Thank you for your help."

Makina nodded in return, finally realizing why her trainer was so fearful of Fire-types earlier. Thankfully, Felix's fear seemed to have completely evaporated- fighting Vulpix and Larvesta must have done wonders for his confidence. She pulled out Aria's Pokeball once more, calling out the Gardevoir.

Aria stood patiently in front of the two humans as she materialized fully, looking over at Felix with a serene look in her eyes. She had sensed that Felix was at peace, and appeared calm as well by this. She gave an understanding nod to the Trainer, then directed her attention to Makina, <Time to head out I'm assuming?>

“That's correct,” Makina answered Aria, quickly filling out a form and retrieving the three Parkballs containing Aron, Vulpix, and Larvesta. She ripped off one of the sheets, then held it out to Felix, “This is the required paper you need to bring these guys out of the Park,” Makina stated, motioning to the Parkballs before handing them over to Felix as well. “Bring both of them over to the receptionist at the front desk, and she'll take care of everything else from there.”

At that, Aria approached the two, holding out one of her wispy hands for each of them. “Aria will be teleporting us straight back to the docks, so no need for us to hoof it all the way back,” Makina explained, then motioned for Felix to grab the Gardevoir's hand. Another successful run, another satisfied Trainer... now time for the paperwork, she mused to herself, silently groaning over the last part. “Let's head on back, now.”
