    BP-2: Torterra VS Ferroseed

    Ranger John Shay

The Pin Missiles struck Torterra, seemingly angering him. It didn't look like there had been enough needles to wound Torterra, but the Pokemon was certainly upset now.

"Hold it," Airik said, calming his Pokemon down. "You did some damage with that Earthquake attack, use it again! Then you can charge at it and hit it with a Wood Hammer attack!"

Torterra nodded, settling down a bit for now. He stomped on the ground once again, and more seismic waves assaulted Ferroseed. However, he was more prepared for them now, having faced the attack just moments ago. Generally, repeating moves on Pokemon in the Park was not recommended since Park Pokemon were intelligent and knew how to brace themselves for the hit the next time it rolled around. Still, the overwhelming power of the move was able to knock Ferroseed off his balance again, leaving him prone for the next attack as Airik intended.

Now Torterra charged the grounded Ferroseed. He crushed the Ferroseed with his front foot - the powerful Wood Hammer move. Immediately, however, Torterra winced. I immmediately realized why: Wood Hammer was a recoil move that did damage to the user as well as the target. Not only that, but some of the spikes on Ferroseed's body would've lodged themselves deep into Torterra's foot when it had made contact. That was Ferroseed's Iron Barbs ability, which, compounded with Wood Hammer's recoil damage, probably left a noticable footprint on Torterra's health.

Ferroseed slowly returned to a vertical base. As small and weak as he looked, I knew the Pokemon was incredibly bulky. He could take quite a beating. Being an owner of a Ferrothorn myself (a N.U.K.E.M. certified one, no less), I knew plenty about them.

Now, Ferroseed made his move. Bubbles of green energy formed in front of him and created one large ball of energy. This could only be Energy Ball, one of the more powerful Grass-type moves around. Ferroseed launched the ball towards Torterra. Airik's Pokemon would have a brief window of opportunity to do something about the incoming attack, but Airik would need to act quickly and intelligently.

Airik almost right away realised what his mistake was, Wood Hammer although very powerful caused a large amount of recoil damage to the user and using it on a pokemon like Ferroseed that did damage to an opponnent when struck with physical moves. Torterra winced and was now in as bad a physical shape as the Ferroseed was.

"Sorry Torterra" Airik called as he was trying to think of his next move. Just then spots of energy began to form around Ferroseed, this was an Energy Ball. Airik recognised the move for what it was, he had seen this attack used many times several of his own pokemon knew it.

"Torterra, Your not quick enough to dodge the Energy Ball, use Leaf Storm hopefully you can dissipate the ball and still strike Ferrothorn with it." Airik thought for a Second, "Ok then follow it up with an Earthquake its proving to be fairly effective here and then try and recover using your Synthesis"

"Torterra, you're not quick enough to dodge the Energy Ball. Use Leaf Storm, hopefully, you can dissipate the ball and still strike Ferroseed with it. Then follow it up with an Earthquake, it's proving to be fairly effective here, and then try and recover using your Synthesis," Airik commanded.

Torterra nodded, sending out a flurry of leaves towards Ferroseed's Energy Ball. The Grass-type attacks clashed in mid-air, and being the more powerful attack, Torterra's Leaf Storm won out. The leaves ripped through the Energy Ball, and some continued to shred Ferroseed's body afterwards.

Next, Torterra used Earthquake again. I wasn't sure why Airik was ordering it again - Ferroseed was now learning how to brace himself for the attack. I noticed the Pokemon time Torterra's attack, and hop off the ground just as the Earthquake reached it, minimizing the damage taken from the move. Airik would probably be better suited not using Earthquake for a few turns.

However, Torterra moved on to Synthesis. The sun's rays healed the Pokemon, returning it to full health. I noticed that Airik seemed to enjoy a very conservative strategy - one that would usually work very well in the Park.

Ferroseed, not too shaken up from a Leaf Storm that had been dulled by an Energy Ball and an Earthquake that he had learned to prepare for, realized that Torterra was trying to use this opportunity to heal. That meant he could use this opportunity to attack. One of the spikes on his forehead turned purple - I realized that was poison secreting out of the spike. Ferroseed jumped at Torterra, stabbing the recovered Pokemon with the poisoned spike. This was Poison Jab, a super-effective attack on Torterra!

"Torterra!" the Pokemon bellowed, in pain from Ferroseed's attack. I'm sure that this attack had reduced a lot of Synthesis' effects.

Airik watched as Torterra used Leaf Storm, the more powerful grass type move won out the torrent of leaves pummelling the Energy Ball until it had dissipated into nothingness. "Yes" Airik shouted, the few remaining leaves pushed forwards striking the shocked Ferroseed. Next Torterra used its Earthquake, Airik had been watching paying attention to the Ferroseed and he had noticed it learning how to dodge the attack more effectively, this time was no different as the seismic wave hit it braced itself and jumped avoiding the worst of the damage. Can't really use that one again, since its adjusted to it. Airik thought to himself.

"Torterra" the cry of the wounded pokemon could be heard for miles its deep voice travelling

Just then as Torterra began to use its Synthesis the Ferroseed shot at it with a Poison Jab attack. The Poison Jab must of essentially negated the Synthesis but at least Torterra had come off from that exchange no worse off than it had been previously.

I Need a way to get some more damage onto Ferroseed but without Torterra taking more damage in return Airik thought. Suddenly an Idea struck him, "Torterra Use a Giga Drain attack" Airik shouted, "and then close the distance use Crunch"

Next time I come to the park Airik thought, I'll bring a Fire type, it would of made life a lot easier.

Airik frowned for a moment, trying to decide his next move. He called to his Torterra. "Torterra, use a Giga Drain attack, and then close the distance using Crunch!"

His Torterra nodded, and green bubbles of energy formed on Ferroseed's skin. Those bubbles leeched away from Ferroseed and into Torterra, healing him. However, I remembered that after Leaf Storm, Torterra's Special Attack stat had taken a temporary dive. That would lessen the impact of Giga Drain on the health of both Pokemon.

After Giga Drain, Torterra moved on to a Physical attack. He used Crunch, running over to Ferroseed and crushing him in his jaw. However, Torterra immediately recoiled - Ferroseed's Iron Barbs once again. It looked like the Iron Barbs seemed to negate what Giga Drain had done. They were turning out to be a real bother for Airik and Torterra right now.

Ferroseed was also hurt as well, however. Against a behemoth like Torterra, Ferroseed was taking heavy damage as a much, much smaller Pokemon. He seemed to realize this, and closed his eyes. Roots ripped out of the ground and attached themselves to his body. This was the same attack that Cacnea earlier had used: Ingrain. Ferroseed took on a contented look as the nutrients from the roots began to heal him. Then, he cast his eyes on Torterra. He was ready to attack again.

"Ferroseed!" he shouted, beginning to spin. Green bullets of energy fired off from his body, flying towards Torterra. This was Bullet Seed - two rounds of it from the looks of things. The Bullet Seed crashed into Torterra, hitting it twice. That was lucky for Torterra, then, since two rounds of Bullet Seed would be minimal damage.

Torterra used its Giga Drain, it was still under powered due to the effects of the leaf storm but all Airik wanted it to do was to offset the damage caused by the Thorn Seed pokemon and its Iron Barbs. Airik watched as green bubbles of energy formed around the small silver pokemon and then travelled back to Torterra. "That's good Torterra, Keep it up" Airik shouted and as soon as the Giga Drain stopped Torterra was charging. Torterra the Continent pokemon partly named because of its sheer size began to charge across towards the Ferroseed as it closed its large jaws opened. It seemed to be able to open them unnaturally far for such a huge animal, Brining them crashing closed around the Ferroseed. Torterra winced in pain, obviously from the Iron Barbs however it kept applying pressure Crunching down on the small silver seed.

"Good Job Torterra" Airik shouted as the moving mass that was Torterra spat out the offending object that was in this case Ferroseed, however Ferroseed was not going down without a fight and began to sink roots deep into the ground. "It's using Ingrain" Airik exclaimed, "This will make weakening it Harder". Then the plucky seed started launching a salvo of bullet like seeds as it span round at quite an astounding speed. The seeds bounced mostly harmlessly off of Torterra's vast bulk but Airik had to do something to change the pace of this fight.

"Ok Torterra, use synthesis and heal up." Airik shouted looking across at the two pokemon fighting it out. "Then I want you to use Wood Hammer again" This wasn't really going to do that much however Airik was unsure on how to proceed with the rest of the fight, he wanted to use all his pokemon he brought to the park but in honesty probably should of just stuck to Roserade and her Weather Ball or just bring a fire type which would of made more sense.

"John do you have any advice?" Airik asked his ranger friend

OOC: @Airik Sorry, that's too many actions for just one post. It would take a lot of time for that all to happen, and it isn't fair for that all to happen in one post. To keep it fair, limit it to three at the most, and in all honesty, that shouldn't be overdone either. Try and maintain a fair balance of one-two-three move posts is what I'm saying, I guess. Either way, I'm going to ask you to edit this. Drop me a VM when you're done bro

"Okay Torterra, use Synthesis and heal up," Airik commanded. "Then I want you to use Wood Hammer again."

Torterra nodded, and closed his eyes. Immediately, yellow energy surrounded him as he began healing again.

However, Ferroseed read Torterra's actions again, and decided to make a move as he realized Torterra would be distracted healing himself. He closed his eyes, and the spikes on his body began glowing. I noticed them extend and sharpen a little. This was definitely Hone Claws - a move not many Ferroseed were capable of using, but one they could use nonetheless. While Ferroseed lacked claws, the move was in its moveset and it would instead sharpen the spikes on his body. This would make Ferroseed a little bit more tricker to deal with.

However, Torterra was done healing now, and charged towards Ferroseed. Ferroseed's Hone Claws had taken just a little too long, and that left him open to a crushing Wood Hammer from his opponent. Once again, Torterra winced as both the Iron Barbs and Wood Hammer recoil damaged it, but that was only taking away a part of what Synthesis had done. Meanwhile, Ferroseed's Ingrain was healing him, but the Wood Hammer had still looked very effective to me.

Airik turned to me, seemingly bothered. "John, do you have any advice?"

The question caught me off guard. I shrugged. "From the looks of things, you seem to be in a great position to me. It's a slow paced battle, which means both Pokemon will take plenty of hits, but you're healing them all off. As a matter of fact, I think you may even be overdoing your healing - I noticed just now Ferroseed was beginning to read your Synthesis like earlier with Earthquake. This one's intelligent, so I suppose you should maybe try throwing in a few curveballs and not relying on the same three or four moves. As an added bonus, you get to get in a few more hits and quicken the pace of battle. Otherwise, however, you really don't have anything to worry about right now."

"Ferroseed!" the Pokemon cried, and I returned my attention to him. I saw he was now flying towards Torterra and spinning rapidly - Gyro Ball. After using Hone Claws, it looked like he wanted to take advantage with a Physical move. Well, Gyro Ball maybe wasn't the greatest option here. It was best used on targets noticeably faster than the user, and since both Torterra and Ferroseed were both slow, the damage here would be minimal. Ferroseed's Speed was maybe a small step down from Torterra's and he did have an Attack boost, but as he landed the blow on Torterra, things didn't look too bad to me.

"I guess after the battle I can always have Torterra use Synthesis for as long as it takes to heal to full health, I could perhaps use more of a risky strategy" Airik said just then the Thorn Seed pokemon's cry interrupted them as it spun through the air. Airik Recognised the move, Gyro ball. This Ferroseed was clever it had used Hone Claws and then followed straight up with a physical attack to take advantage of the damage boost, however gyroball did damage based on the speed of the target and since Torterra wasn't that much faster than Ferroseed the impact from this attack would be negligible.

"Torterarara" the Continent pokemon seemed to laugh at the tiny seed's attempts to hurt him

"Ok Torterra, why don't you Charge him and then use Crunch see if you can't crack that shell of his."Airik shouted his orders to his pokemon wishing that he had brought something with a fire move as it would of been extra effective on the grass and steel type. "Once your in close I want you to use and Earthquake, we have not been using it for a while so it might catch him off guard." Airik thought a little as Torterra began to kick up dust behind it in preparation for a charge towards the Ferroseed. "Wait to do the Earthquake until your right on top of him" Airik exclaimed.

Torterra nodded, and made his move. He ran towards Ferroseed, and clamped on to the small Pokemon with his jaw. Again, he winced as the Iron Barbs hurt him, but it looked like Airik was fine with that this time around.

Torterra then used Earthquake, dropping Ferroseed from his jaws. He timed his move, waiting until Ferroseed hit the ground before using the move. As Airik had predicted, Ferroseed hadn't seen this attack coming, and he was rocked by the powerful move for a good amount of damage. Even with Ingrain healing Ferroseed, the Crunch-Earthquake combination seemed to be one of the more effective combos for Airik in recent memory.

Ferroseed was quickly realizing he was losing momentum, and losing it fast. He decided to use Iron Defense - his shell began glowing with a faint green aura, and it took on a gleaming silver sheen. This would capitalize on one of Ferroseed's main strengths - its Defense. Combined with Torterra's Special Attack drops, this would make it a little harder for Torterra to do damage to him, although in my opinion it was only a matter of time before Airik had himself a capture opportunity.

Now, Ferroseed attacked. He began spinning rapidly, and spikes began flying off his body towards Torterra. He was using Pin Missile, and I called to Airik, "You'll want to do something about this attack! It's super-effective and buffed by Ferroseed's Hone Claws. It also looks like there's four rounds of it, so it could do a lot of damage to Torterra!"

The combo was successful and Torterra although wounded from Ferroseed's Iron Barbs ability had done well timing his Earthquake perfectly to catch the Thorn Seed pokemon unaware. Just then the small silver pokemon began to take on a green aura, Airik wasn't quite sure as he had never seen Ferroseed use this move before but he believed it might of been Iron Defense. "That's it Torterra, his adopting a more defensive posture we're wearing him down." Airik had to shout at the top of his voice to be heard over Torterra's chortles of delight at having done such damage to the poor Ferroseed.

Suddenly sharp metallic spikes began to fly off of Ferroseed's body, obviously not happy with being laughed at it had retaliated with a pin missile attack. However this attack had been used before, it was a Pin Missile Attack.

"You'll want to do something about this attack! It's super-effective and buffed by Ferroseed's Hone Claws. It also looks like there's four rounds of it, so it could do a lot of damage to Torterra!" John called over to Airik, but Airik already had a plan on how to deal with this.

"Torterra, Use withdraw. Hunker down into your Shell as much as possible angle yourself so that your shell takes most of the hits." Hearing this Torterra began to retract as much as possible into it's shell using it like a siege mantlet of old.

"Thats Perfect Torterra, When it finishes attacking with this we need a show of force" Airik thought for a second, and then changed his mind he doubted that the seed pokemon would allow him to pull off another Earthquake. "Ok Use Rock Slide and follow up with Wood Hammer"

Airik began to fumble around inside his bag looking for a Park ball "I know its here somewhere" he began to mutter under his breath. "Ahh here it is" he said as he took out the small ball and clicked the button to enlarge it, soon he would be in a position to capture this pokemon and he would be ready to throw the ball whenever he could

    BP-7: Torterra VS Ferroseed

    Ranger John Shay

Airik wasted no time in giving his instructions to Torterra. "Torterra, use Withdraw. Hunker down into your shell as much as possible, and angle yourself so that your shell takes most of the hits."

Torterra nodded, and withdrew his limbs into his shell. He rolled forward a little, so that most of the Pin Missiles would connect into his hard shell rather than into the softer underbelly. It was a small detail, but an intelligent observation nonetheless by Airik. It could save Torterra a bit of health.

The Pin Missiles slammed into Torterra's shell. With the extra Defense, the damage was reduced a little, but I was sure that because of the sheer number of the missiles, Ferroseed wouldn't be too upset by the end result. From the sound of things, though, Airik was pleased as well.

"That's perfect, Torterra, When it finishes attacking with this, we need a show of force," Airik paused for a moment, then commanded. "Okay, use Rock Slide and follow up with Wood Hammer!"

Torterra nodded, and crushed his foot deep into the earth. Then, he pulled it out, ripping chunks of the ground free and sending them flying towards Ferroseed. The Pokemon was smashed by the avalanche of rocks, but somewhere underneath the rubble, I remembered that Ferroseed was hiding with an Iron Defense boost. He should have taken a decent amount of damage, but the fact remained that right now, this Pokemon was basically a two foot fortress. There was also the Ingrain effect, which was slowly recovering some of the damage done.

Torterra wasn't concerned with this, however, and made to crush Ferroseed along with the pile of rocks by himself now. He charged over to the pile of rubble, and slammed it with a Wood Hammer. Torterra's foot destroyed the rubble easily, but immediately recoiled as it suddenly met something hard and pointy - Ferroseed's gleaming silver body underneath all the crushed stone. That would be the Iron Barbs, then. However, the damage should be done to Ferroseed. The Pokemon weakly rolled out from behind one of the larger boulders, a dazed look on his face. He was getting close.

In anticipation, Airik pulled out a Park Ball and clicked the button. It was definitely still a little early, but I understood him being excited for the capture of one of his main targets in Ferroseed.

Ferroseed weakly raised his head, eyeing Torterra. He knew he was getting close to the brink. However, he forced out an attack. His body started glowing silver again, and that glow flew towards Torterra in the form of a beam of energy. It was incredibly bright - Flash Cannon. The attack flew towards Torterra, but once again, Airik had a window to use here.

Torterra Stomped its feet and kicked a huge amount of rocks towards the Thorn Seed pokemon burying it under a pile of rubble, then the Continent Pokemon charged towards the pile and brought its powerful feet crashing down on top of it to crush the Ferroseed hiding within. The walking behemoth that was Torterra recoiled afterwards not only due to the stress of having used Wood Hammer a powerful move but also because of Ferroseeds Iron Babrs. Airik was excited, soon he would be in a perfect position to capture this Ferroseed and add it to his growing collection of Grass Type pokemon.

"Ok Torterra" Airik said "Time for the Endgame", Although he was interrupted by what could only be a Flash Cannon attack aimed towards Torterra there however was still time to do something about this "WITHDRAW!" Airik shouted panicked and caught off guard his face was turning red with anger as again Torterra turned its shell like back to absorb the attack.

All Airik could do is watch hoping the sheer bulk of Torterra would be enough save it from serious harm. Airik was so angry mostly with himself for getting side tracked that he couldn't watch to see what happened.

"Torterra" Airik heard the cry of his pokemon and turned back to face the field

"Ok Torterra, lets just finish this shall we" Airik shouted wishing he had seen the flash cannon and what happened "Rock Slide again, then follow up with an Earthquake." Hopefully Airik thought, even if the Ferroseed sees the Earthquake coming which would be unlikely buried as it would hopefully be under a pile of rocks it wouldn't have the space to move and also the rocks around would be dislodged and maybe even collide with the Ferroseed for even more damage.

Airik was ready to throw the ball and would attempt a capture if Torterra had been successful in further weakneing the silver Thorn Seed Pokemon. He was a weird mix of nervous excitement although he was certain that he would capture the Ferroseed but he wanted to be able to continue in the park and if necessary use Torterra again so the real trick was reducing the amount of damage caused to all his pokemon. If he needed to Airik would have Shiftry use Sunny Day and let all his pokemon use Synthesis untill they where back to full health.

Then again Airik wasn't sure if John would allow that somehow it felt a little bit like it might be considered cheating somehow and not entirely within keeping of what was expected of people entering the park

    BP-8: Torterra VS Ferroseed

    Ranger John Shay

"Withdraw!" Airik shouted, trying to protect Torterra from the oncoming Flash Cannon. However, he must've forgotten that Flash Cannon was a Special move, and Withdraw protected the user against Physical attacks. It may have helped to conceal Torterra's more vulnerable appendages, but that would probably have made a very small difference if any at all.

The silver beam of energy smashed into Torterra, and Torterra wailed loudly. However, I knew Ferroseed's Special Attack stat wasn't all that impressive, so I expected Torterra to be more or less fine.

"Okay Torterra, let's just finish this, shall we?" Airik commanded, clearly angry with himself for hismistake but trying to refocus. "Rock Slide again, then follow up with an Earthquake."

Torterra nodded, and repeated Rock Slide. He smashed his foot in the ground and ripped out another wave of rubble towards Ferroseed. Ferroseed, like with Earthquake, was able to read the move. He blew up a green wave of energy around himself - Protect. The rocks fell down around him, covering him and the energy shield but not harming him directly.

I expected this to bother Airik a little bit, but if my predictions for the next attack's effectiveness were correct, then he would come out not feeling too bad about himself.

Torterra smashed his foot on the ground again, this time causing a seismic wave to rush towards Ferroseed beneath the rubble. He had used this attack plenty of times earlier, to the point where Ferroseed had learned to counter it. However, things were different this time and I expected the results to be different as well.

First off, Ferroseed couldn't see the attack coming, hidden beneath the debris from Rock Slide. This meant he would most likely end the Protect, and also be unable to counter Earthquake this time. Also, with the rocks all around him, Earthquake could cause a cave-in of sorts, causing even more damage upon Ferroseed. Even with Ingrain, it could deal a lot of damage. Maybe the Protect was a blessing in disguise - if Rock Slide had struck as well as this Earthquake, it may even have Knocked Out the Pokemon, even with Ingrain factored in.

My prediction was confirmed when the seismic wave smashed into the rubble Ferroseed was trapped under. The rocks rumbled and fell down on Ferroseed, showing that Protect had ended. A piercing cry of pain came from the mess - that would be Ferroseed. It looked like this combination was working out for Airik, even though Ferroseed had disrupted part of it.

Ferroseed rolled out of from the rubble, his eyes rolling in their sockets. He was ready for capture now, from the looks of things. However, that didn't stop him from letting loose an attack. Bright red energy surrounded his body, and blasted towards Torterra. From the looks of things, this was a Fire-type Hidden Power. The move knocked into Torterra, but it didn't look like it had too much effect.

Now, what would Airik do? He could certainly go for the capture, and I doubted he would want to delay it too much anyways.

Airik was pleased his plan to blind the Ferroseed with rocks in order to make the Earthquake more effective had worked. "Well done Torterra, Take a break use Synthesis and I will deal with it from here" Airik shouted. Now that this tiny Thorn Seed pokemon was on it's last legs and all Airik had to do was to capture it. He tossed the Parkball in his arm over towards the Ferroseed, his stomach was full of excitement he really wanted this guy as he had shown it could be a great battler now it was in the hands of the fates as to if he would be able to capture it."

ooc: Sorry its so short kind of did it in a hurry as we are off out early today and have things to do

OOC: Sorry bro, really shitty roll

"Well done Torterra, take a break. Use Synthesis, and I will deal with it from here," Airik called.

Torterra nodded, and closed his eyes, allowing the sun's rays to heal him. Meanwhile, Airik tossed a Park Ball at Ferroseed. The Park Ball sucked in Ferroseed, and dropped to the ground. However, it only bounced once before Ferroseed exploded out. The Park Ball rolled over to Airik's feet - very convenient, as he could reuse it now. Still, Ferroseed hadn't lasted very long in the ball. Given how low his health was, however, that was probably just bad luck for Airik.

Ferroseed shook his head, a little dazed. I suppose fighting off a Pokeball from the inside could be a little disorienting, though that was really just a guess. Ferroseed used this opportunity to fire off an attack at the recovering Torterra. He began spinning, and fired off a round of green balls of energy at Torterra. This was Bullet Seed, and the move landed three hits on Torterra. After Synthesis, the effect probably would've been minimal, but it was certainly better than nothing from Ferroseed's perspective.

I looked at Airik. The Park Ball he had just tossed laid at his feet. He could certainly pick it up and use it again, or he could save it for another Pokemon and use another one for now, if he believed in bad karma or that kind of thing. Either way, I figured he'd be trying for the capture again.

Airik was amazed as the park ball simply rolled back to his feet, reaching down Airik grabbed the parkball amazed at his rotten luck. "Ok Torterra ignore that Bullet seed, Carry on using Synthesis." Airik gripped the parkball tight he simply eyed up the Ferroseed and made his mind up, "Now Ferroseed you've done a brilliant job but you have to admit that I'm going to catch you now or later and you don't stand much of a chance against Torterra now its healed." Airik shouted across to the opposing pokemon, he raised his arm and let loose with the park ball. Airik was sat there hoping to capture this Ferroseed its defiance made it a really good choice for capture especially since in battles it would be a really effective wall.

Airik picked the ball back up, using this as an opportunity to allow his Torterra to continue healing. "Okay Torterra, ignore that Bullet Seed, carry on using Synthesis."

Torterra continued to heal, and Airik tossed the Park Ball for a second try at things. Ferroseed was sucked into the ball, and it began bouncing again as Ferroseed tried to fight it off for the second time in a row. I counted one, two, and then three bounces before the ball stopped. Airik captured the Ferroseed!

"Good job, you caught it this time!" I congratulated Airik, and walked over to pick up Ferroseed's Park Ball. I pocketed this one as well, and turned to Airik. "Well, just tell me whenever you're ready to continue."

Airik waited in suspense as the ball flew through the air, it connected with the Ferroseed and the pokemon was sucked in by an enveloping red light, the pokeball began to shake furiously bouncing around as the Ferroseed fought against its capture. the Parkball bounced once, twice and finally a third time before coming to rest on the floor. Airik beamed ear to ear. There was another reason for him being here other than to capture for study, he had heard about an opening at the Eterna gym and Ferroseed would make an excellent addition to any Gym team he proposed to use.

"Good job, you caught it this time!" John congratulated Airik, "Well, just tell me whenever you're ready to continue." John said this while pocketing the pokeball containing the freshly captured Ferroseed

"Well I'm ready to carry on now" Airik Said, and he was all his pokemon where still at full health really and he wasn't that tired. He reached into his bag and withdrew a bottle and drank from it "Water" Airik ecplained. "Would you like some" he said offering the bottle towards John

"Well, I'm ready to carry on now," Airik said before taking a quick sip of his water. He offered some to me, but I shook my head. "Thanks for the offer, but I've got some water of my own. However, let's keep going - I'm sure you want to find some new Pokemon."

I continued leading Airik through the park. There was a nearby fountain, and I headed towards it. The stone structure was designed in the shape of a Magikarp, with a trickle of water flying out of its mouth. Being one of the few unnatural and beautiful structures in the Park, this was usually a popular place to find wild Pokemon.

The Pokemon we found, however, was one we already encountered. The stench crept up my nose, and I searched for the Gloom that was definitely nearby. I doubted this was the same one we had encountered earlier, but it was still a Gloom nonetheless. It cautiously stepped out from behind the fountain, eyeing us nervously.

"Want to battle Gloom this time around?" I asked Airik.
