"What the heck was that?!" I exclaimed as the Chingling made some sort of recovery. In a sudden, Chingling had changed the tide of the battle. Although the Bell Pokemon was supposed to be weaker than his previous encounters, the situation just shows that even the weakest of them all could be as sturdy as a hard Steelix. What's worse is that it began to whittle Manectric's health slowly but surely. If the battle would continue to get this heated, the Chingling would be soon declared to be, like, uber or something.

Manectric began staggering on his feet. Chingling was still clinging on his snout, making him unable to use most of his moves. With Chingling's weight adding to his, Manectric's weak body could even barely carry the both of them, especially with the Psychic-typed Pokemon squeezing all the way to hurt the larger Pokemon. If there was any way to shake the Chingling off of him, it would probably take a long time, unless Manectric damages it off.

Chingling, on the other hand, had simply shrugged Manectrics attacks like nothing. For a small and young Pokemon like Chingling, taking a lot of heavy Electric-typed attacks was dangerous. However, this Chingling seems to be like a god of some sorts. After resisting Discharge and getting thrown away before getting hit by Spark, it made a shield of Reflect around itself and clung back to Manectric. After a while, it even glowed white and then its injuries suddenly went poof. Only a few scratches could be seen afterwards. It seems hard to believe that Chingling would last long like Manectric's battle against Cresselia. After all, it small size should make it less bulkier.

"Manectric!" I yelled, trying to get the attention of my Pokemon, "Try a Rain Dance. Do this thing and we might finally get a chance to destroy this monster!" Personally, I'm beginning to think that this Chingling should be worth more than it's supposed to be. It did kill much of my time, which I was going to use to be sightseeing in this area. Meteor Valley is beautiful in the season of winter. That Chingling shouldn't be wasting my time here, battling it.

Manectric let out a low growl as a signal that he had heard my command. After all, if you were in his burdensome place, you maybe cannot even utter a word. Instead of thinking more about his situation, Manectric concentrated on making a Rain Dance. Closing his eyes, the Discharge Pokemon started to create a blue glow around him. As he opened his eyes again, thunderclouds began to accumulate faster than expected, much faster than his previous Rain Dance. Upon completing the task, he fell down but managed to steady himself back again. If anything was to happen to my favorite Pokemon, Chingling was bound to be the culprit.

"Now, use Thunder!" I yelled to my Pokemon. I know that if Thunder was being used, it would still hit Chingling and Manectric because of Lightning Rod, meaning that Rain Dance wasn't needed. This isn't the case, though. From some rumors I heard, Thunder, when used in Rain, is more powerful with a power that can even break through Protect. Just in case that Chingling would do something that advanced, I took the time to order Manectric to make rain. "Do your best to knock that Pokemon down," I said as a final remark.

Manectric took his remaining energy for the full force of his attack. He glanced up in the sky, which began crackling in thunder and lightning by now. In a moment, a large bolt of electricity from the sky crashed down all the way to Manectric, because of his ability Lightning Rod. Although Manectric would be pretty much hurt by his attack even with resistance against it, Chingling would still be the end point of this attack. If this brutal move wouldn't even scare the little bell away, I'd quit straight away from this battle.
