Spearow copied Cybershocks attack and used it back. Not only did it damage him, it also paralyzed him. "Alright Cybershock, stand down. Mindbender will heal you of your paralysis in a bit. Shadow get in there and use your Hidden Power attack." Cybershock moved back and Shadow jumped in. His Hidden Power attack was ice, which was quite useful at this moment. Hidden Power was just small orbs of energy that circled the user until launched. The type depended on the Pokemon and was varied each time.

Shadow opened his mouth and created several small whitish blue orbs from his mouth. The orbs rapidly spun around him multiplying the faster they went. Then he quickly launched them at the Spearow. I waited to see how well his aim was. ​

The Spearow Roosted and restored its health. I didn't want to power Shadow up, but now it looked as if I was going to have to. I wanted to attack it and stop it from healing itself again. "Shadow, use Nasty Plot and then use Flamethrower. We'll see where we go from there." I said. I knew my Pokemon were getting tired of all this battling, but we had to continue. I felt bad because I wasn't really doing anything but coming up with the plans. They were the ones that were taking the damage.

"Alright Shadow, use Nasty Plot and scorch it with Flamethrower." I said to him. It didn't want to hurt the Spearow too much, but it was leaving me no choice. Shadow began powering up with Nasty Plot, getting those dark thoughts it his mind. After he did that, he'd bring up the fire he had inside of him and release them in a long line of flames that would hopefully hit the Spearow. The Spearow proved to be more of a problem than I had expected. ​

"Okay Shadow, I want you to use Flamethrower again. However, if you see him move before you, I want you to switch into a Sucker Punch. That should do the trick." I said. Flamethrower was a bit overdoing it, but that Spearow was getting on my nerves, and plus it attacked us first so its its own fault. Sucker Punch was a move that was insanely fast. You had to look very carefully, and even then you might miss the move. It was an attack that quickly struck the opponent with a power dark jab, sort of like Quick Attack. It only worked it the opponent was going to attack, if they were then the attack would work, if not then Shadow was going to use Flamethrower.​

I saw that the Spearos had had enough. Shadow stopped attacking and it flew away, dropping two Candy Canes in the process. I picked them up and put them in my bag. I was accumulating quite a bit of items, I just wished I knew what to do with them. "Come on out Mindbender, use Heal Bell. I want you to cure Cybershocks paralysis. Try and do that before some other Pokemon swings our way."

Not long after the Spearow left, a Starly showed up. It also looked weak and like it wouldn't put up much of a fight, but I knew better than to think otherwise, especially with how the Spearow paralyzed Cybershock, which was extremely unexpected. I was going to be more alert this time around. I wasn't going to waste any time on this one and start off with a straight out attack.

"Cybershock, you're back in the game." I said, seeing that his paralysis was cured. "I want you to use Ice Beam on the Starly here, don't hold back this time. We don't want you getting hurt or anything." I wasn't really worried about him getting hurt because he was a pretty strong Pokemon, it would take a lot from a Starly to knock him out.

Once again, Cybershock brought up his arms and began freezing the air in front of him. It took about a matter of seconds for that to happen given the weather we were in. Once he created the small ball of ice, he launched it into a beam that was headed straight for the Starly. ​

The Starly used a powerful move to start off the battle. The recoil, beard, hail damage and the super effective attack was not enough to take it down though. However, it didn't look like it could take much more damage, or at least that's how I saw it. If I was right, another Ice Beam would do the trick. I was hoping to go through this area quickly, I really wanted to find out what was happening to the Pokemon, and why they were acting the way they were.

"Use Ice Beam once more Cybershock, make it count this time." I said loudly. The man-made Pokemon began forming more ice around his middle body, freezing it more quickly this time. As soon as the ball of ice he had created was big enough to do a good amount of damage, he released the beam and sent it straight for the Starly.​

"Good job Cybershock, now use Recover and then you can take a nice rest." I said. I was going to use Scamper now. Cybershock already took on a lot of Pokemon, so he needed to rest. Scamper wanted to fight anyways, I could see it in his eyes. Cybershock began the process of regeneration. "Alright, we'll protect you while you get your energy back. We stood where we were, waiting to see if any other Pokemon would show up. ​

Like expected, another wild, angry Pokemon popped out of the blue and began attacking us. Fearow flew towards us, squawking loudly. After battling the Spearow, I didn't really want to battle the Fearow. The Rangers back at the headquarters told me that a reindeer doll would make a wild Pokemon go away, sort of like a Pokedoll. They only gave me one doll though, and if I threw it, the Pokemon would take it away. I just shrugged and threw the doll at the Fearow.

The doll had worked and the Fearow had left, however the item wasn't too great. I picked it up and we continued walking on. The hail and snow was sort of getting to me, I wanted some warmer weather but I didn't want to change the weather in this area, I didn't know what kind of effect it would have. I stopped walking when I heard something big coming our way. Whatever it was, we were ready for it.​

I heard a roar again, closer this time. It wasn't long before a prehistoric pterodactyl made its presence known. I was wrong about how big it was, but I had the right idea in mind. These Pokemon were extremely powerful. I had to play this one carefully. Aerodactyl was a flying type, so I was going to have a bit of trouble landing physical attacks like Ice Punch or Thunder Punch. I was going to have to go for a move that could put some distance between them so he wouldn't get hit too badly.

"Scamper, start this battle off with Flash Cannon, watch out for his Earthquake attack, it'll do a good number on you if it does that." I said scratching the stupid beard. Scamper nodded and held out his two hands began forming a silver ball of energy. After it was big enough, he would concentrate that energy into a silver beam and fire it at the Aerodactyl. ​
