Posting this here 'cause the Park on PE2K is pretty much dead.

This RP was really long ago and we just kinda stopped when Marth had to go. I caught a Delibird before he left though, can I still claim it? If yes, can a ranger post it for me in the capture thread (since Marth is gone)?

This has recently caught my attention, and I'm not really sure how many Rangers do this, but I have something to say about RP Updates(regulars) and whatnot.

People, please go easy on first timers or any Trainers who really lack experience in RPing. You can really tell that via several factors. Quality of Post, Creativeness(yes), Grammatical errors/etc, Description and all around. You should also take into consideration of the following factors.

1) Is this the Trainer's first time?

We generally go easy on all first timers This can be seen by the items they bring into the park or by their RP Posts or the amount of Pokemon they bring in, and the type of Pokemon they bring in(like Bringing Garchomp to the Abandoned Power Plant). Specifically speaking, a Trainer who's been a regular visitor to the Park will load up several healing items, along with items which will help them catch the Pokemon they want in the Park. Decisive, and well planned to sum things up.

2) How strong is the Trainer in terms of description, creativity & realism(making use of the environment around them in battles/etc) and Grammar/etc?

You can't expect much from a first timer, can you? This is different from a frequent visitor. They come back to look for better Pokemon (most of the time) and this is where you're really judging them based on their posts. Do they really have that kind of post which really gives you the impression that they deserve that Pokemon?

For example, a first timer or anyone(with less RP experience) trying to capture a Weedle or any other Pokemon(of a low value) of any kind. You can't blast at him like over 9000 and expect him to give a vivid description, 100% no Grammar error with a lot of creativity + realism. However, if its a frequent visitor encountering something elusive like an Aerodactyl, then you should alter your judgment, accordingly. You'd be more like, 'Hmm, let's see how far he/she can go this time round!' or etc.

Yes, I'm not saying we should encourage New Trainers to provide fail posts and they grab everything and make an exit. All they need is a gentle nudge or a slight push. Every RP by every RP. You're a Ranger, and you have various ways of letting the Trainer know how he can improve on his RP Post. Either by being really blunt to their face(which I don't really encourage), or being a sweetie pie and telling them patiently and clearly(best way). Challenge their minds by providing obstacles in the RP and see how they tackle it(via uses of TM/HM/etc?). To even expect Creativity & Realism, you guys have to present such scenarios in the first place Or how else can you actually judge the Trainer's actions on that area?

By the way, don't take this offending or anything, I'm just saying things in General just in case some Rangers did not know. If you already knew, I say thank you and continue being the impressive Ranger you are! I've also included a Newbie Category(which applies to all first timers), so take note of that when you're getting a Trainer from the Front Gates. This post is linked @ Park Encyclopedia(thanks to Tyranitex for reminder) so all New Rangers/Rangers should note of that as well.

Remember, the Park is just another exclusive way of capturing Pokemon, and not exclusive for People who RP over 9000!

Btw, you or any Ranger, for that matter, are not allowed use any B/W Pokemon(even if they use Moves from the previous Gens) in any of your RP Expeditions(Rangering). B/W is not even released in the U.S, let alone in the URPG. I know Dog of Hellsing posted the List for it, but they are not to be used(in any form) in the URPG YET. Use Pokemon that only exist in your stats, or those you have posted in your Ranger SU.

Bottom line : You can't use something that you don't own in your Stats.
