My goodness, I thought this debate had finally worn its way down.

    Anyway, the verdict.

I am personally in favor of changing the evolution of Feebas to Milotic using the Beauty method. The main reason is, of course, that the game simply has the evolution conducted in such a manner. Although we do tend to stray away from some aspects of the game, usually it's because it would be more fun in another way or we simply could not do it before.

Feebas was introduced into the URPG before there was a Contest section. I should know, I was around then.

However, I am concerned that changing the system adds another level of complexity to the pokemon. And complexity often kills the ease at which a system functions. Or in other words, if it's not broke, why fix it?

Milotic is not a popular pokemon compared to Starmie or Weavile or Gengar. Changing the evolution will not change much to the URPG nor add anything. I agree that it won't bring people to contests. People will play contests if they want to and won't if they don't. It's how things work.

So, officially, Feebas will continue to be allowed to evolve as it has before, with the Soothe Bell. However, I'm not against any member who would like to be a little more accurate and little more hard working. If he or she wishes to evolve Milotic in the manner that the Pokemon games dictates, then by all means, I would allow it. We shall be less restrictive, not more so.

    Case Closed.
