Salamence spammed Dragon Tail, bringing out the worst in Ataro's lineup. However, Ataro staked his hopes and dreams in Crobat, and he was rewarded. Max sleep roll on Talonflame allowed Crobat to get up a Sub and Nasty Plot, and with rocks already up, Crobat was able to plow through all four of Morru's Pokemon.

Gray started of strong with a powerful Hypnosis/Dream Eater combo on Venusuar, and Seppe struggled to get his footing back after that. Gray's hard hitters kept sending things that Seppe had to switch into; eventually, his team got whittled down. Whimsicott tried to mount a final stand and almost managed to outhax Sand Veil Garchomp, but it wasn't quite enough.

Things were pretty evenly paced and largely KO for KO, but eventually Nitro's bulkier, type-advantage mons were able to chip away at Brock's team. After Tyranitar went down, not much was left that could switch in to Ash-Greninja's attacks, and it cleaned up.

There were some great plays on both sides! Swift kept the pressure on high with hard-hitting steel and fighting moves, causing Dash to lose a lot of ground. There were a few key dice rolls in the middle: Slowbro's Red Card dragging out Jolteon, for example, and Rotom-F's Ominous Wind Superboost, but in the end, Swift's team had too much offensive pressure for Dash to make a comeback.
