Chespin vs Nincada was a lot of nothing happening as Chespin set up Bulk Ups and Nincada did awful damage. Pikachu came in to Encore Chespin into Bulking Up, paralyzed both of Bayzeast's team members, dented Skorupi and killed Chespin before Skorupi was finally able to finish it off (lotsa switching happened). Paralyzed Skorupi vs Nincada almost probably maybe not ended in a turnaround for Bayzeast after Acupressure rolled into evasion, but no cigar.

Things happened. Mienshao fled Druddigon in favor of Gastrodon, who used a combination of Counter and Mirror Coat to kill Druddigon and heavily dent Altaria, respectively. Emolga finished off Mega Floofy and played around with Togekiss before Volt Switch shenanigans happened and Mienshao was facing off with Hydreigon. Mienshao set up a Swords Dance and proceeded to kill Togekiss and Typhlosion before being frightened away by Gengar. Jumpluff in the sun cleaned up with a combination of its piss-poor attack, Infestation, Leech Seed, Substitute, my imaginary blood pressure medication, Encore, and Leftovers.

A mono-water battle for no other reason than because we are 70% water and it's pretty cool stuff.
Rotom-W taught Kingdra Discharge via Mimic shenanigans, but Lapras killed it quickly enough with Freeze-Dry that it wasn't really a threat. Starmie looked like a threat with Weakness Policy, but Rotom-W took it down easily enough. Lapras tanked its way through Tentacruel's shenanigans and went head to head with Slowbro. Lots of things happened, Nitro tried to use Heal Bell Slowbro, lots more things happened, turns out Heal Bell Slowbro is most definitely not a thing, and then Nitro forfeited.

Riolu managed to tear through Machop by Copycat'ing a Dynamic Punch, which led to a productive turn where both Pokemon did nothing but smack. Screech + max power Reversal took care of Scatterbug, and another Reversal dented Kricketot before Riolu finally went down. By then, Dash was out of basics, and Infernape got rolled in to clean up. No kill like overkill.

Eevee with a Focus Energy under its belt did a surprising amount of damage coupled with Adaptability, plowing through Dedenne and 80% of Sunflora. Ludicolo vs Altaria was a stallfest that ended in a weakened Ludicolo to face off Serperior, which went about as well as was to be expected.

Quilladin proved to be mighty, felling both Teddiursa and Cubchoo after getting off a Bulk Up. Mincinno prayed to the hax gods and got the Sing/sleep rolls/double slaps it needed to finally take out Quilladin. However, that left Mincinno slapping feebly at Tyrunt, except then the babby dragon got an Ancient Power Boost, and that was that.

Soul did not get Pickup.

Kingdra squared off against Blissey, which left the pink blob dead and the seahorse paralyzed. Xali misplayed a little when he tried to use Rest during Misty Terrain, which let Meowstic secure a KO on Kingdra, but Raichu was able to step in and secure an unscathed kill with Volt Switch, bringing in Gliscor. Pangoro's Circle Throw missed, which allowed Gliscor to get up rocks and take it down. Dewgong made short work of Gliscor, but Raichu made short work of Dewgong. Lanturn got unlucky with a bunch of rolls, and somehow Raichu left the exchange with near full health, +5 SpAtt and an Agility. To add insult to injury, the majestic counter that DR rolled to this monstrosity was... Carracosta.

Right off the bat, Neon caused shenanigans turn one with Item Clause, because that's totally a thing that people know about. Ferrothorn and Bronzong did a decent job of stalling through Rotom and Infernape at the cost of their lives. Excadrill looked like it would be threatening, but it had to switch to Empoleon after Gliscor looked too scary. Then, Charizard-Y came in and destroyed everything Neon had left.

If you're thinking that that escalated quickly, you were right.
