Venusaur quickly charged up another round of bomb-like objects. This time, however, the assault was not enough to shoo that Jellicent away. The wild entity came back with an attack of its own. It released a barrage of ghostly purplish winds. They cut through the air ominously, and slammed straight into your partner.

My Venusaur launched his Seed Bomb, and the projectiles landed a direct hit on Jellicent. I hoped that, by some measure of luck, that that had been enough to take defeat Jellicent.

    Nope.

Jellicent regained its composure quickly, and went on the offensive. The Water/Ghost-type Pokemon summoned a vicious purple wind that tore at my Venusaur - this was the Ominous Wind move. My Venusaur cried in pain, but after the move had passed, Venusaur did not seem much weaker. The Ominous Wind had resulted in very little damage to my Pokemon.

"Come on, Venusaur!" I encouraged, "We can end this battle now! Use one more Seed Bomb!"

My Venusaur nodded, and repeated the Seed Bomb move. Glowing white seeds were launched from the center of the flower on his back once again, and they flew towards Jellicent.

Another seed bomb is just what it took to scare the Jellicent away. It left you with another Red Apricorn, though You head on West, to an empty room.

Venusaur's Seed Bomb landed square on Jellicent, and the Pokemon hurriedly rushed away. It left behind a Red Apricorn, and I added it to my growing collection.

I continued to make my way through the network of rooms. I walked through the Western exit, and found myself in a completely empty room. There was an exit to the north, and another to the west. It was just a hunch, but I suspected based on what my self-drawn map looked like that the western exit would lead me back to where I had begun. There may have been a branching path connected to the path back, or maybe I was flat-out wrong. However, I felt much safer going through the Northern exit.

    An empty room.

I had left through the North exit of one, and walked straight into another one. The lack of a battle made it much simpler for me to just move on, and I had no problem whatsoever with empty rooms. I knew I was missing out on items that would count for points by missing out on battles, but it didn't bother me too much.

In this room, there were two exits, one in the North and the other in the West. The North exits thus far have done me well so far, so I shrugged and continued walking North. I could only hope it was the correct choice.

I walked through the Northern exit into yet another empty room. I was mildly surprised at my luck, but shrugged. There wasn't anything I could do about it.

Once again, this room had a Northern exit and a Western one. The side path was beginning to look really appealing to me, and I had a feeling it could take me where I wanted to go. However, going North was something I had done quite a bit thus far, and it seemed almost a waste of time to stop going North now.

It was a much more difficult decision than it had been in the previous rooms. I quickly mulled it over, and decided to go North.

OOC: Keep going north after this please.

I continued walking North, and found a Crustle waiting for me. The gold-and-brown hermit crab Pokemon was rubbing its claws together in anticipation of our battle. I thought about which Pokemon would be the ideal one to send against this Pokemon. It was very bulky, especially in terms of its Defense. A Special Attack would be an ideal choice.

Espeon was my strongest Pokemon in terms of her Special Attack, and Infernape was also very strong in his Special Attack stat. Venusaur and Dragonite were both strong as well, though weaker than the other two. They both had a base stat 100, and that was perfectly usable.

Ultimately, I decided to send Dragonite. Her Special Attack stat was not as impressive as Espeon's and Infernape's, but she could deal more damage with a stronger, super-effective move.

"Go, Dragonite!" I called. My orange Dragon blossomed into appearance, and screeched loudly. "Use Surf!"

My Dragonite nodded, and her antenna started glowing blue. Suddenly, water started to gush from the antenna, and wildly raged towards Crustle. I couldn't see Crustle as the waves blocked my line of sight, but I expected the attack to do plenty of damage.

You call out your Dragonite, ordering for a Surf. Somehow, she manages to do just that inside this cave that has no water. Crustle attacks with Rock Blast. Stones shot out from the entity, directly hitting your partner, not just once... but thrice. The attack was very effective, dealing a considerable amount of damage.

The waves died down. The water quickly dissolved, absorbed into the ground. I could see that Crustle was weakened by the move, as it was cringing. However, it still had some will to fight remaining.

Crustle scooped its claw underneath the earth, and heaved boulders of stone at my Dragonite. This was the Rock Blast move, and the boulders landed hard on Dragonite. My Pokemon had been hurt pretty bad by the move.

    "Are you alright, Dragonite?"

My Pokemon nodded affirmative, but there was a large bruise on one of her wings and she was down to a knee. I frowned, and I knew had to end the battle quickly.

"Dragonite, let's finish it right now. I need just a little bit more energy out of you - use Waterfall!"

Dragonite nodded, and inhaled. Blue energy surrounded her body, and formed into water. Surrounded in a coat of water, Dragonite rushed Crustle. Though Waterfall was a physical move, I figured that it would do enough damage to scare off Crustle.

Dragontie's Waterfall hurts the Crustle quite badly, scaring it away. Unfortuantely, even if you worked hard to defeat the Pokemon, you only receive a Candy Corn (damn rolls). You walk on North. The next room had yet another Pokemon waiting for you. It was a Donphan. Ahead, you see the exit and sunlight is streaming in. You were almost out of the caves.

As I walked into the next room, the first thing I noticed was sunlight streaming through the exit of the caves. Excitement filled me - I was almost out of the caves. My first reaction was to tell someone.

    Nitro 12:35 pm
    OMG GUYS
    IM ALMOST
    OUT OF THE CAVES
    haha!!

    "Donphan!"

A Donphan stood between me and the source of the sunlight. I smiled, ready for what looked like my final battle.

Like Crustle, this Pokemon was very bulky in terms of its Defense. However, it had a weak Special Defense stat. It also carried a weakness to Grass-type Pokemon, so that meant...

    "Go, Venusaur!"

My green dinosaur Pokemon appeared in a burst of white light. She saw the sunlight, and growled happily - she loved the sun more than any of the other Pokemon on my roster.

"Let's see if we can end this quickly. Use Giga Drain!" I commanded.

Venusaur nodded. She started glowing green, and Donphan suddenly started glowing with the same aura. Balls of energy were leeched from Donphan, and rushed into Venusaur. The aura of energy faded off of both Pokemon, and Donphan crumbled. The question was would it get back up, or was I done with the Caves?

Venusaur's Giga Drain just happened to have the rigth amount of strength to cause the Onphan to crumble. It slipped away, leaving with you a White Apricorn. Your journey through these dungeons has just ended, my friend. but surely, there will be more adventures coming your way. Congratulations, you have completed this quest!

And done. Woot. Have fun with the Pokeballs you get from the apricorns!
