OOC: Crystal Ball show me the way

IC: Chandelure did some pretty good work against Sandslash with its attack, but Sandslash wasn't backing down. It jumped up, and slammed down against the ground, this shook the whole surrounding ground causing an Earthquake attack. "Gah, but I just felt an earthquake in my house a week ago. It's too soon for another one!" I said, remembering the earthquake I felt recently. Though this time it was Chandelure who felt the force of this Earthquake. This was bad for Chandelure, not only was it weak to Ground-type moves, but Sandslash would also receive STAB from this too causing a lot of damage.

"You okay there Chandelure? I know that must have taken a lot out of you, but I also know you're tough and can take some hits, so I know you can pull through this, and finish this battle. Now use Flamethrower!"

Flamethrower was one of Chandelure's signature attacks. When a regular Pokemon used it they would build up a flame deep within their body, then they would push the flame out in quick instant wave. Though in Chandelure's case, it would blaze up the flames on its body. During this process that flames would change from purple, to a regular flame color, only brighter. Chandelure would then put its four flames from its body, up to the flame on its head, and release one major wave of fire for a Flamethrower this way.

Chandelure quickly adjusted itself, and tried to shake off as much of the pain it was feeling from Earthquake as it possibly could. It then started blazing up the flames on its body, and locked its sights on Sandslash while Chandelure tried to charge up Flamethrower as fast as it could. I was hoping this would be enough to get rid of Sandslash, because Chandelure needed a nice rest after this battle was done.

OOC: I shoulda just went West for the third time like I wanted. Also excuse the crappy post.

IC: Chandelure was able to fend off Sandslash with its Flamethrower, though not before taking a little more damage. On the plus side though the Scarecrow Mask worked its magic and Chandelure was slightly healed. "You did fantastic out there, even though you were at a disadvantage. You rest now and something else will take the next battle," I told Chandelure as I returned it to its Pokeball, all the while thinking I'd probably encounter a Ghost-type next knowing my luck. But whatever came next I'd deal with it when the time came.

Now that that was done I used the powers of the Crystal Ball to show me which way I should head. It shined towards the West. At this point I couldn't help but say, "I should have just kept going West like I did for the past two rooms. Ah well whatever, lets head West again," I said to my ranger as I pointed to the West. Going West three times in a row seemed weird, its like when you take a multiple choice test, and you go without picking a letter for a while so then you're like, "hm I don't know the answer, and I haven't used C in a while, so I'm picking C." Though I just figured it'd be best to go with what the Crystal Ball said, and hope for the best.

We walked into the new room, but much to my surprise it was completely empty. I couldn't help but enjoy this a little, I mean after a tough battle like the one Chandelure had it was nice to have a few minutes to relax. Now though it was time for a decision. I could either go to the South, or I could go to the North. I did have the Crystal Ball to use one more time, but I couldn't help but ask myself what if I would need it again if I got lost? This meant I was on my own for making a decision.

"You know its time like this that I wish I remembered to bring a coin, I could have just flipped that to pick a path. Or well whatever, when in doubt go North!" I said to my ranger, signaling that I wanted to head North. I saw a pattern with my movements, they were all either to the North, or to the West, so now I needed to ask, was I getting close to the exit? Or was I just sending myself towards a dead end?

OOC: Of course its North and West here. >_< Using my Crystal Ball again in this room after the battle.

IC: We walked into the new room, and much to my displeasure there were two exits here, one to the North, and one to the West. I didn't know which way I would want to go, of course I first still needed to defeat the Pokemon that was waiting here. It was a red Pokemon that seemed to be wearing clothes resembling those of someone who takes karate. It was Throh, a very fierce Fighting-type Pokemon. Fighting-types were always very powerful on offense, but on defense they were, usually, seriously lacking, this meant I had a Pokemon perfect for this situation.

"Your turn again Scizor!" I said as the pincer Pokemon took the scene on the battle field.

Scizor evolved from a Flying-type, so it knew plenty of powerful moves that could be used now. "Hit that thing with an Acrobatics Scizor!"

Acrobatics had the capability to be one of the most powerful Flying-type moves out there. The user would launch themself into the air, fly over at the opponent, and swipe at them several times with hands, claws, or wings, going from the bottom of their body to the top. As with other powerful Flying-type moves though Acrobatics had a self-effecting side effect, though this one was actually beneficial. If the Pokemon using the attack wasn't holding an item it then this move would double in power. I had no idea how that worked, but it was just one of those mysteries of the Pokemon world that humans would never know.

Scizor wasn't holding an item, so Acrobatics was bound to put a decent dent in Throh. Scizor got itself ready, and took off towards Throh. Throh was a tough Pokemon, I know that from seeing them battle in the past so it was sure to fight back. The only thing I really knew right now though was that once this battle was over I'd be putting my Crystal Ball to work once more.

OOC: Still using the Crystal Ball

IC: Scizor dealt tremendous damage to Throh, though the same time Scizor got slapped right back in the face with some damage of his own. Throh turned it's hand into a chop motion, and karate chopped Scizor right across it's midsection. The Brick Break did indeed pack a punch, but with Scizor's Bug-typing it was nothing that Scizor couldn't shake off.

"Great start Scizor, nice way to show off your power. Now let's follow that up with a nice simple Wing Attack!"

Wing Attack was exactly what it sounded like. The user would build up sone energy within their wings, they would then fly around for a moment or two, building up speed, topping the attack strength off. Afterward the Pokemon would fly at the opponent and smack them several times over with their wings. While Scizor had it's signature attacks, Wing Attack was a signature attack for Scyther. This was because Scyther received both STAB, and a Technician boost on Wing Attack. Scizor, being the evolution of Scyther, no doubt made the attack just as deadly.

Scizor started to flap it's wings around, and began to race around the room. It wouldn't be long now before Scizor, and Throh exchanged blows again, but I was confident in Scizor's abilities, and I was certain that it could handle this.

Scizor beat Throh with ease. "Good job out there Scizor, now how bout you go back to relaxing and I'll handle this," I said as Scizor left the battle scene to rest. Now came a conflict though, the Crystal Ball was shining towards both the North, and West pathways. This left me rather confused as to which way to take.

"Gah, why the heck did it need to be both North and West, the two ways I've been taking!?" I said to myself in anger. I really didn't know which way would be more beneficial here, so I decided things in the most sensible way that I could. "Okay, I went West to enter these new rooms, so now I want to take the North path, because I haven't in a while," I said to my ranger as I pointed North, rather than pointing to the ever popular West.

We walked into the next room, and once again it was an empty one. "Hey look at that, not picking West paid off. Well alright, I'm good with this," I said happily at the chance to have a breather. A battle, then an empty room for relaxation was the best way to have things. Still though I was presented with my next choice. I could go the East, or I could once again go down that West path.

"Hm, decisions, decisions, what way should I go? I think I'll stick with my gut, as well as the Crystal Ball, and once again pick my poison. Lead me to the West once more!" I had been into a lot of rooms now, and through various battles, but I had to ask myself, how far from the exit was I? I mean I kept going North, and West like the Crystal Ball said so I had to be getting closeish right?

We once again strolled into a new room, and it had been empty like the one before this one. Though what I saw in here was rather agitating. "What!? An exit to the North, and to the West again!? Oh, and one to the South too, but I don't care about that one," I said, as I felt the rage inside of me building. I didn't know which way to go now. I kept debating it; on the one hand West had been a pretty faithful path, but on the other North had been alluring, and exciting. Where was a coin when I needed one?

"Okay, West has been dandy and all, but let's see what awaits me in the North path again!" I said, throwing my finger to the direction of the North exit. West had been treating me good, but I had major doubts I could make it out of here by just going West every single time that option shined itself before me.

Once more we walked into an empty room, well mostly empty. This room had a little treat waiting for me, a Yellow Apricorn had just been sitting there prime for the taking. If that wasn't awesome enough, then the news I found out surely was. The exit to the caves was just sitting to the North!

"Alright North, I knew you wouldn't let me down! Unlike that West, where if I would have taken it, would have left me nowhere I'm sure. Now, I've collected enough cool items, and you worked hard enough leading me through here, so let's exit the caves and call it a day," I said, incredibly happily to my ranger.
