OOC: Still North, and I'll use my Magic Mirror if I beat this thing

IC: Ambipom hit Mew with its dual punches. You could see Mew was hurt, but it was far from finished. It had been charging up an attack before we got here, and now that the battle was going on Mew was ready to use its attack. The move it used was of the one elemental punch that I didn't use. It charged up electricity in its body, and created a storm cloud in the air, from this cloud Mew released a powerful streak of lighting; it was using Thunder, an incredibly powerful Electric-type attack, with a high chance of paralyzing the Pokemon it hits. It was all even though, Fire Punch didn't burn Mew, and Ice didn't freeze it, at the same time Thunder didn't paralyze Ambipom.

"Okay good start Ambipom," I told my monkey. I knew Ambipom was strong, but I also knew Mew was strong. In fact Mew was probably even stronger than I thought, I mean it had to be. Being Mew there was also no way to tell what it might be planning next; it could use Flamethrower, or Double-Edge, Waterfall, or even something like Swords Dance. Mew could have thrown anything my way, that's what made facing it so interesting, because it was just so unpredictable. I couldn't be so trilled by this though, I knew Ambipom needed to take action so it couldn't be hurt too bad.

"Now, use Shadow Claw Ambipom!" Ambipom understood what it needed to do, and was ready.

Shadow Claw was a Ghost-type Physical attack. The users claws would begin to sharpen, they would then turn a very dark shade of purple, nearly black. The Pokemon using it would then launch itself at the opponent, and try to hit part of their body with their sharpened claws. Even the tiniest touch from this attack could hurt, I know that because I've seen times when a Pokemon has used the attack, and the claw would indent the ground easily. Shadow Claw didn't just stop there though, it had an increased chance of causing a critical hit. That meant that if you were lucky when your Pokemon used it, it could cause double the damage in the one attack. This was always a nice surprise when it managed to cause a critical hit, because it usually meant the difference in a knock out or not.

Ambipom got itself into position, and started to power up its claws. I was intrigued to see how Mew would react in this situation. I know it wouldn't want to feel pain, and with its varied, and wide movepool Mew could really be planning to do anything in retaliation. I had no idea what was going to happen, but I did know one thing, anything could happen.

OOC: North and Mirror still. Doubt I need to say this stuff every post but meh, if you'd like me not to just say so.

IC: Ambipom's sharp claws hit Mew, and clearly inflicted some damage on it, but Mew seemed to have a high resistance for pain. It took Ambipom's attack dead on, and fired one back of its own. It was a familiar move, one I had already seen two times during this trip. Mew's eyes turned blue, and the surrounding area turned pink. Yes, Mew had used Psychic to hurt Ambipom. Psychic was a choice move for Mew to use, because due to Mew's Psychic typing its power was boosted, making it do even more damage to Ambipom.

Neither side was done yet, though you could see both were getting tired. I looked over, and even though it was getting hurt Ambipom had a grin on its face. "Heh, you dog," I said to myself. Ambipom loved a good challenge, so it was loving this. I mean there was no greater challenge then going up against one of the rarest, and most powerful Pokemon in the world. Who knew if Ambipom would ever get a chance like this again, so it had to enjoy every second of it.

"Good job so far. I know you're having the time of your life, but don't forget that you're here to win battles just like you did before against Kabuto. Legendary Pokemon or not, I know you can bring down Mew. Use Swift Ambipom." Ambipom smiled as it heard its command. It must have been glad knowing that it would get to see this battle through until the end. It was a thing of honor among Pokemon I was sure, so to Ambipom being given the chance to see this battle with Mew until the very end was the biggest honor it could get right now.

Swift was a unique attack. The Pokemon using it would fire out some gold, and silver colored stars towards the opponent. Seeing the stars would generally remind you of the calm, clear night sky. Upon impact the stars would turn into rings that would batter against the opposing Pokemon's body. It was a Normal-type move, and one weak enough where it would be boosted by Technician, though this wasn't the reason why I was using Swift. I was having Ambipom use Swift because of its nature. A lot of moves have the chance to hit, or miss based on how good the opposing Pokemon is at dodging. But in Swift's case it would lock onto the opposing Pokemon's energy signature, and it would follow them around. Swift was essentially the only Special Attack that Ambipom knew, but it would get the job done in a lot of cases, especially after a Nasty Plot or two.

With both Pokemon being weak now one thing was sure, this battle was reaching its climax, and in the end on one Pokemon would be left here standing. I was confident in Ambipom's abilities, and I was really sure that it could manage to defeat Mew. This would be one battle that Ambipom will never forget, no matter how many battles its been through, or will be through.

OOC: West exit, and this will be my Mirrors second use

IC: Mew had taken off, it had had all it could take from its battle with Ambipom. It flew off somewhere to no doubt heal off it's injuries, possibly to never be seen by a human again. What it did now though was none of my concern, I was just honored to have the chance to battle with it, and at the same time I was incredibly proud of Ambipom.

"You did fantastic out there Ambipom, it's not everyday you get to battle with a Legendary, and you handled yourself well. I'm proud of you Ambipom, don't forget that," I said, as I retuned Ambipom to it's Pokeball with a smile. And with that we were off to the next room.

The next room we entered was unusually cold. I couldn't help but wonder why it was so cold, until I picked my head up and say something. "What the..." was all I could say in amazement. I had only just finished my battle with Mew, and now no longer than moments later did I run into another Legendary. This time it was a frozen Dragon-type; Kyurem. I was shocked that I had to face two Legendary Pokemon in a row, but I was thrilled at the same time.

"Well, back to you Scizor," I said as Scizor once again took the scene on the battle field. It already dealt with one Ice-type so far so I knew it was best now, especially since Kyurem's Dragon typing made Fire-type moves do less.

"Hit that thing with an Iron Head Scizor!" I commanded.

Iron Head was one of the more common, but powerful Steel-type attacks. The users head would turn gray, and harden up. If the Pokemon using it wasn't of the Steel-type it's head would temporarily became as hard as steel. The Pokemon using it would them headbutt the opposing Pokemon. It was such a strong force, that if the Pokemon using it struck first it had a high probability of making the Pokemon flinch.

I couldn't help but feel great about this. Facing one Legendary Pokemon was special, but facing two was almost unheard of, especially back to back. I didn't know what would happen in this battle, but it didn't bug me, I was just going to enjoy it.

OOC: Mirror and West. I need to catch up with Chainy now that his run is done, and I'm probably taking a path that leads to nowhere too.

Kyurem was a great battler, it took Scizor's attack head on, and fired out a powerful one of its own. A Blizzard, a move with a chance of freezing the Pokemon it hit, as well as making everything resemble a powerful snowstorm in the area. The attack consisted of firing many pieces of snow, and ice from its mouth. It was a very powerful, and wide range attack. Blizzard could easily affect the whole surrounding area, including the temperature.

"Its fre-fre-freezing in here..." I said in response to Kyurem's attack. Now wasn't exactly the best time to only be wearing a short-sleeve t-shirt, and shorts. I couldn't help but think Scizor was pretty lucky, it didn't feel these harsh cold temperatures being a Steel-type. Of course it still felt pain though, so I would need to work hard with Scizor to try to prevent that again.

"Good going so far Scizor, I know facing a Legendary is tough, just ask Ambipom about that," I said, chuckling a little. "Now isn't the time for laughs though, use Bullet Punch Scizor!" I told Scizor.

Bullet Punch was a simple enough command for Scizor to do, it had already been done once this trip against Jynx, and I'm sure Scizor remembered this quite well. With its increased priority it was able to strike Jynx before Jynx was able to strike Scizor. I was hoping for the same thing with Kyurem, if I was lucky enough Scizor could defeat Kyurem with Bullet Punch before Kyurem hit Scizor, maybe. Of course though Kyurem is a Legendary Pokemon, so it could be up to anything, there was just no telling what would happen until it happened. Like before Scizor closed its claws, and jolted over at Kyruem, ready to strike it at the first chance.

Scizor struck Kyurem as hard as it could with Bullet Punch, but weak to Steel or not, Kyurem was very tough and it was able to easily counterattack. While Scizor was in range Kyurem formed a small, frozen blue and white ball of energy in its mouth. When it was ready Kyurem fired the frozen energy beam right at Scizor. It had used Ice Beam, another powerful Ice-type move, and coming from Kyurem its power was unmatched. I was lucky enough that Ice Beam didn't freeze Scizor, but now Scizor was pretty worn out, and that wasn't good, because there was a good chance I would once again need its power during this trip.

"Okay Scizor, you've done great but now its time to try some defensive tactic before you do offense again. Start off with a Roost to heal yourself, then when you're finished use Quick Attack!" Scizor was hurt, so starting off with Roost seemed like it was the best idea at the time.

If Roost was used by a Flying-type Pokemon that Pokemon would lose its Flying-typing for the duration of the turn. Also when used by a Pokemon with wings, the Pokemon's wings would vanish too. Using Roost would restore a Pokemon's maximum health by fifty percent, which in many cases would allow a Pokemon to keep battling for quite some time.

Afterward if Scizor was alright it was to use Quick Attack. Like Bullet Punch this move was also an increased priority move, though this was the Normal-type version of it. It was a pretty basic move, the user would charge over to the opponent, gaining speed along the way. This speed would also increase the velocity of the attack, making the impact a powerful one. The Pokemon using it would generally stick a shoulder forward, this made the attack like a powerful shoulder block, a basic but effective wrestling move.

Scizor started off by going to use Roost, if this idea of mine worked I could get Scizor out of this situation only feeling some of the damage it had already taken, but if Kyurem had anything to say about this it would make sure Scizor didn't walk away for this unscathed.

Kyurem was defeated, and Scizor had had plenty of time to get some rest in from its Roost. It was then able to make Kyurem flee with its Quick Attack, though not before taking some more damage itself. The damage Scizor had now though was really nothing compared to the damage it had already had. Scizor had done some great work just as Ambipom had done, and now Scizor earned its chance to rest. "You did great Scizor, now you rest in case I need your power again," I said as I returned it to its Pokeball, and went West into the next room.

Here I, thankfully, didn't find another Legendary Pokemon, it was just a simple Geodude. Now that's not to say a Geodude is just something to laugh at, but after facing two Legendaries back to back this was a refreshing change of pace. The only thing that upset me was I hadn't had the chance to use Aerodactyl yet, and I wasn't so sure that I wanted to exactly use it vs Geodude. Ambipom, and Scizor needed rest because they were each just in battle, so this only left me with one Pokemon besides Aerodactyl that I could use, a choice I could end up regretting.

"Well no, now is not the time to be using that. I need to go with my first instinct, so come on out here Aerodactyl!" I said as Aerodactyl appeared from its Pokemon, and let out a loud roar. "You're plenty powerful for this battle, show that Geodude what I mean, and use an Aqua Tail!"

Aqua Tail was a bit of an unusual move, while it was a move that was classified as a Water-type move, several non Water-types could learn it, all they needed to have was a tail. Except for, oddly enough Ambipom who technically had two tails, yet it couldn't learn Aqua Tail. The user didn't need to have a body of water around, though it would help, to use the attack. Their tail would liquefy, and their tail would be come as if it was water. I had no idea how non Water-types could use this move, but now wasn't the time for me to question the strangeness of how Pokemon were. The Pokemon would then tap their tail against the ground, and slam it into the opponent, and be surged with some water.

Aerodactyl waved its wings, and within seconds its tail started to change. I was curious to see what Geodude would do, a lot of the time they relied on Magnitude, a move that wouldn't hurt Aerodactyl, or Explosion, and blowing itself up for no reason would just be silly. Of course I knew nothing, so anything was bound to happen.

It only took Aerodactyl one shot to beat Geodude bad enough so it would flee, to my surprise. I mean I knew Aerodactyl was powerful, but I had no idea it would have taken down Geodude so easily. Still Aerodactyl didn't walk away in perfect health, Geodude used the cave walls to make some rocks come crashing down on Aerodactyl. I thought Geodude must have been crafty, it knew to use its surroundings to create a Rock Slide attack. Geodude was still beaten though, and all, and all that was left to do now was enter the next room. In which I decided to head North.

The next room I went into though was nice and empty giving me a minute to relax. From here I had two choices. I could go West, or I could go East, if I chose to go East it would start to lead me back the way I went, even though that could have been the right way I wanted to keep moving as to what I deemed forward. "Lets go West next," I said to my ranger, and waited for them to take me to the next room. I didn't know what awaited me next, or what path I was on, but hey that's what made something like this exciting, the mystery of it.

OOC: I went West last time so lets try.....West!

IC: "Nothing beats being in an empty room that's for sure," I said as I left the empty room, and entered this new one. I had no such luxury of an empty room here though, no a Pokemon was here waiting to battle. It was a little baby Pokemon that resembled a manta ray, a gentle little Mantyke. I couldn't help but stare at this adorable little creature; I didn't really feel like battling it, but in this case it wasn't about doing what I felt like, it was about doing what needed to be done. I was going to think for a minute about what Pokemon I should use, but then it occurred to me, I never returned Aerodactyl to its Pokemon. After defeating Geodude I just quickly ran into the next room. Aerodactyl had just been following my since then.

"Haha....whoops...," I said to myself. Aerodactyl wasn't the best choice for this battle, being weak to water and all, but still it was already out of its Pokeball, and having a second battle in a row wouldn't be so bad for it. It would build up its endurance if anything.

"Alright Aerodactyl, its your turn to battle again, or keep battling, or whatever. Use a Stone Edge attack!"

Stone Edge was a good attack for many Pokemon to know. The user would stomp, or slap their tail against the ground, this would free up some of the harder ground, or dirt. They would then transfer some of their energy into the dirt, or gravel and turn it into sharp stones. Next they would turn their hand from right side up, to upside down, this made the stones come flying at the opposing Pokemon at an alarming speed. This move could go from bad to worse for the Pokemon it hit, because it had an increased chance of causing a critical hit, this was no doubt due the the nature of the razor sharp rocks being pretty effect on some Pokemon if it hit you in the wrong spot.

When we got into the room Mantyke already looked like it was ready for a battle, and I liked that. I always enjoyed battling Pokemon who were in the mood for battling, its what made battling fun. Aerodactyl, never taking its eyes off of Mantyke, slammed its tail against the ground to free up some of it for its attack.

"Alright Mantyke, show me what you're planning to do," I said as I watched both Pokemon get ready to attack.

IC: Aerodactyl had struck Mantyke pretty hard with that Stone Edge, you could tell it was in pain by the way it flinched when the stones hit against its midsection. Still though Mantyke had been charging up the worst move possible for Aerodactyl to have to deal with, a Hydro Pump. The Pokemon using it would fire out a massive surge of water from their mouth. It reminded me of a the way a fire hydrant would gush out with water when it was opened up, only more forceful.

"You holding up alright there Aerodactyl?" I asked the ancient fossil Pokemon. "I know you're hurt, but I also know you still have a lot of fight left in you. This next move should be easy to do, because you already laid down the ground work for it. Use Smack Down Aerodactyl."

Smack Down was a highly simple attack to master. When using it the Pokemon using it would take some rocks, and launch them at the opposing Pokemon. This attack was a little different though, it was almost as if it was meant to just be specifically used against Flying-types. When used against Flying-types the rocks would damage the Pokemon's wings, causing them to be out of commission for a few moments, making them lose their Flying-typing similar to Roost. This would free a Flying-type to be hurt by a move such as Earthquake, a great strategy to use against something like a Crobat, or Charizard.

Many of the stones from Stone Edge were still laying all over the ground, so that's why I chose to use Smack Down. This way Aerodactyl wouldn't need to spend time forming an attack, all it would need to do was swipe of the leftover stones up and launch them at Mantyke. Aerodactyl swooped down at the ground, the force of the wind it created behind it caused the stones to rise up, and be send flying directly towards Mantyke.

OOC: This time around I'll use the Crystal Ball

IC: With that another battle came, and another battle went. Aerodactyl was easily able to cause Mantyke to flee the area. Aerodactyl had done a fantastic job against it, especially since it was in back to back battles with Pokemon who's types it was weak against. "You did a great job Aerodactyl, now this time I'll be sure to return you to your Pokeball," I said happily, as I returned Aerodactyl to its Pokeball, and headed West once more into another room.

We walked into the new room, and there was no rest for us here; another Pokemon appeared before us. Its back was covered in spikes, and it had razor sharp claws. It was a Sandslash. This was a Pokemon I was familiar with. On my trip to Mount Deckbi I ran into a Sandslash that wanted to give me trouble, now while I didn't know if Sandslash was just playing, or if it was a threat at that time I knew now wouldn't be the time to take this Sandslash lightly.

"Hm, well my last two battles was with a Pokemon weak vs the types it face, so hey why not try it now. Come on out again Chandelure!" I said as the light fixture Pokemon appeared before me once again.

Chandelure may have been weak vs Ground-types, but right now it was also my most powerful Pokemon to use vs Sandslash. "Alright Chandelure, lets show this Sandslash what you're made off. Hit it with an Energy Ball!"

Energy Ball was an attack similar to Shadow Ball, the main difference was that this was the Grass-type equivalent of that move. The user would generate a small green ball of energy for their mouth. Within this ball you could see a much smaller white ball of energy, this was probably some special form of energy that was mixed in. This is because Energy Ball had a chance to drop the special defense of the Pokemon it hit by one stage.

Chandelure got into position and started to form the green ball of energy in front of its face, and set its sights on Sandslash. This was going to be fun, I thought.
