    "Yeah, I can try for it," Jerome said. He seemed to show a bit of interest in this, but mostly because he didn't really seem to know what this Pokemon was. Or so I'd guessed since he pulled out his Pokedex to look up info about Noibat. It was definitely an interesting Pokemon, to say the least. It was in the family of Flying, and Dragon-types, like Salamence, and Dragonite, only not as powerful, and more Flying than Dragon. Regardless though I thought it was a pretty unique Pokemon.

    "Let's do this," Jerome said, as his Houndoom stepped forward to fight. I knew how much he liked to use his Houndoom, and so I wasn't surprised to see it step forward to do battle. I knew it enjoyed a good fight, but I had to wonder how it would do against a bat, seeing as how Houndoom was generally ground based, and bats were usually speedy, and would use that to be tricky.

    "Use Sludge Bomb and then light it up with a light Ember attack!" Jerome commanded.

    Uh oh, I thought to myself.

    Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Gardevoir asked me.

    Yeah, and I don't think it will be pretty. My concern was that with how combustible a Poison move like Sludge Bomb would be, was that following it with a Fire-type move, even a weak one like Ember would result in some sort of explosion, and that would be...well, it wouldn't be pretty.

    Houndoom shot out a ball of sludge from its mouth, hoping to score a hit on Noibat, however Noibat wasn't looking to have any of that, and flapped its wings, over and over again to create a wind powerful enough to try to dissipate the attack. The Wing Attack seemed to be doing the trick, although it had its cost, as some of the Sludge Bomb shot back, and hit Noibat, although not enough to really stick to it.

    Despite that though, Houndoom took the opening it saw, and fired out the Ember. It was a relatively weak attack, but it was useful for some things. Sometimes I'd use it for things. As a matter of a fact, it was what Chandelure had been using for us to be able to see.

    The flames hit Noibat dead on, causing it to fly around a bit trying to soothe the burn. Noibat didn't let this go though, and went to retaliate. Using its speed, it flew around some, and then once again attack Houndoom from a distance using a razor like blast of wind. It had used Air Cutter. Houndoom was able to jump a bit back though, and avoid some of the attack, though it was still struck in its front left leg.

    I though that Noibat would probably keep its distance as it had so far, and it made me wonder if this was going to be a far range battle throughout it all.

    OOC: @Ebail; Yo man, if you don't have time anymore it's all good. My fault for taking forever to post. Just let me know VM :]

    IC: "Great job buddy!" I called out to my partner Pokemon. It went better than I had hoped. I knew the combination could be explosive, but I didn't think enough was used to cause any major damage. I shouldn't have assumed this though and went the careful route because I was endangering not only the four of us here, but all the wild Pokemon that called this place their home as well. It was just hard to do battle inside of this place. While there was ample room to move, it really wasn't suitable for a battle. Especially with how old this place seemed to be, anything and everything could get easily damaged. It seemed more of a hassle to do battle here, but when I saw something I wanted, I was going to go for it. I would just have to be more careful and think about the moves I used and the damage I could cause before calling out my attacks.

    I already knew what I wanted to do here though. Noibat was definitely a fast creature so I wanted to gain some speed. Shadow did know a move that could raise his speed up slightly. I just had to make sure it hit. I knew just what to combine it with so that it would have a better chance of hitting.

    "Alright Shadow, time to make our next move. Use Double Team and follow it up with Flame Charge. You gotta land this hit buddy." I said. Double Team would definitely confused Noibat, hopefully enough for Shadow to hit him with a Flame Charge.

    Double Team was a move that allowed you to make clones of yourself as a distraction so that you could make a move on the opponent while it was busy searching for the real Pokemon out of the many clones. Shadow would then cover himself and his clones in fire and charge at Noibat, slamming hard into him. It was a decent combination, not one of my favorites, but one that could get the job done if preformed correctly.

    Noibat wasn't going to get away from me here. Soon, I would be adding it to my vast collection of Pokemon, probably even keeping it as a basic. This Pokemon so far really interested me and I couldn't wait to start training it.

    I didn't have many encounters left, but I was still interested in what I had left to find. I didn't think I had many interesting things left, but that was just fine. I had, or was in the process of capturing three interesting Pokemon and I couldn't be more happier with how this turned out, I even encounted a legendary Pokemon which was a nice surprise.

    IC: In case you missed it, last time some battling took place. Pokemon did things, attacks happened, I think. Either that, or some kind of pet show is going on and a dog and bat are currently competing against each other. I'm not even entirely sure anymore, but as things are happening now, it seems like a good idea to focus on them.

    "Great job buddy!" Jerome yelled out to his Houndoom, after what felt like two months but was actually about thirty seconds. He must have been pleased with what he saw, meaning that he probably didn't want to cause a massive explosion, which is always a plus. I did have to wonder what he was going to do next, or if I would even be able to see it as it was dark in here, and my flashlight wasn't good for very much. I mean Chandelure was still around, but it's not like she could produce light forever as she's bound to get tired. I suppose I shouldn't be too worried though as this battle would, hopefully, be over before we ran out of light.

    "Alright Shadow, time to make our next move. Use Double Team and follow it up with Flame Charge. You gotta land this hit buddy," Jerome commanded.

    Ahh, very interesting, I thought to myself.

    Double Team was an incredibly unique move that could work in way of two days. First the Pokemon could divide its energy, and power in a low number, such as four, and then produce three clones of itself that could all attack at once with the original, whilst the attack, speed, and so on is divided by four. It could be very useful, especially if you needed help dealing with something tricky, or multiple opponents, though the drawback was once all four were put back together the using Pokemon would be a lot lower on strength, and stamina. A risk and reward strategy, so to say.

    The other way would be the Pokemon using it would just start to move very fast, creating some afterimages of themself that showed no sign of not actually being the Pokemon itself. A very good strategy to confuse the opponent, and distract it long enough to land a hit. Either way it was a good setup move.

    Houndoom got into place, and started moving around creating the afterimages of itself, which for this battle seemed like a better idea. Noibat in a fashion that's accustom for bats didn't look around for Houndoom, but rather listened for it, while it appeared to slowly charge up it's own attack. However it didn't help as the real Houndoom was moving too fast, and charging at the Noibat while having itself coated in flames.

    The attack landed, and in the process Houndoom seemed to have become fast, as that was the power behind Flame Charge, however while falling back, Noibat shot off a Shadow Ball, which for the most part missed, but managed to catch Houndoom's back legs.

    Neither Pokemon seemed to get too hurt from either attack, but that was to be expected as neither move was that effective against the Pokemon it hit.

    @Ebail; Alright, thanks man! Male

    Everything was going according to plan. My moves, or Shadow's moves I should say, were landing and doing damage. He wasn't doing a lot of damage, but that was because we were setting up to do some serious damage, and I felt we were nearing that time. I really wanted to inflict a status move on Noibat, like Toxic, but for now I would just have to settle for doing some major damage and paving the way for the capture. I felt like we had the advantage. I wasn't sure what moves Noibat knew, but I knew that it was Flying and Dragon. It didn't have any moves that would do super effective damage to Shadow, at least not that I knew of. It had used moves like Wing Attack and Shadow Ball, all stuff that I wasn't worried about. I wasn't going to let my guard down, but it felt like we had the advantage here.

    Being Flying and Dragon meant he was weak to Rock, Dragon, Fairy, and the type that would do the most damage to him, Ice. Now Shadow didn't have any of those types of moves, but his hidden power move was Ice so we got lucky here. This move was going to be his attack of choice for this turn because it would deal more damage than any other type of move besides maybe his Flamethrower. Flamethrower wasn't really effective on Noibat, but with how much times Shadow has used this move and how powerful it has become since would really pack a punch on any type of Pokemon. When you saw him use Flamethrower, you could really feel the strength of the attack, which was incredible. I am really proud at how far we both had come with his battling.

    "Shadow, use Hidden Power!" I called out to my most trusted Pokemon. The large, black hellhound nodded his head and began the move.

    Having this particular hidden power has got him out of many situations simply because it is overlooked. Most of my opponents see him as a Fire and Dark type so he takes them by surprise when he uses it on them. I don't care for the surprise here, just the damage it will do if and when it lands. He had used this moves many times to know how to execute it perfectly so I wasn't worried about it missing or anything, even if there was a slight possibility of that happening. I knew my Pokemon and his capabilities so I wasn't over doing it or anything. In fact, I could have and should have added in another move to go with that, but at this point it wasn't particularly necessary to do that extra damage. I had the time to do it after this if I really needed too.

    Hidden Power was a move that looked normally like a flying saucer. The small orbs would form a perfect circle and begin rotating clockwise (or counter, it was all random). This time though, his Hidden Power came out in a beam of light. It was a bright sky blue color that had the properties of an Ice type attack. This turn was going to be good, I just had to wait and see how Noibat would react to this and what certain moves it would use to attack back with. Whatever they were, Shadow and I would be ready for it, that much was certain.

    @Dinobot; I have returned again.

    BP #3

    I somehow just return from the depths of somewhere. Possibly an alternate dimension, or maybe a three month nap. No matter the situation there was still a battle going on, and therefore still work to be done. To my knowledge during the last leg of the battle, Houndoom set up a Double Team to confuse the Noibat, although that didn't last long, and then hit it with a Flame Charge to get the edge on speed. Not without being hit by a Shadow Ball though.

    "Shadow, use Hidden Power!" Jerome called out.

    Hidden Power was an interesting choice for a move here. It had the ability to be one of sixteen different types, excluding Normal, and Fairy. It varied between Pokemon, and some were luckier than others when it came to what type it had. If, Jerome was using it now that must have meant that it was something that would hit Noibat hard.

    Houndoom stood its ground, and begun to draw in energy, glowing in the process. Noibat was still a little shaken up from the previous attack, possibly due to the harsh light directly in its face moments ago from the Flame Charge. Well, whatever the reason this was probably the best opening for an attack.

    Just as Houndoom released the attack, I could see a blueish, or whitish glow to it, as well as feel a quick chill, which I knew meant this Hidden Power was Ice typed. In that event it was a really good move choice, and something that meant big trouble for Noibat.

    Noibat tried to regain its composure, and get out of the way but it was too late, and as such it was hit by the attack head on, and knocked down to the ground. It looked like the attack was a bit too much, and that this thing was knocked out causing me to have to step in, and end the battle. I started heading over to it, just to clarify, but before I could even get over there, it flung itself up, and launched over to Houndoom, giving it a powerful chop to the back, before flying back up, and way into the air.

    "Crafty little guy, it played possum to give itself an opening to attack with a Brick Break. Not only that, but it still seems to have a bit of fight left in it. It's smart, and tough, I think you'll be lucky with this one if you catch it, Jerome," I'd said to him, as I watched, and enjoyed the turn the battle took.

    @Ebail;

    Shadow's attack hit Noibat head on, dealing some massive damage to the small bat Pokemon. A move like that could seriously damage Noibat, but I knew Shadow wouldn't use full power on the little guy. We just wanted to weaken it right on the edge for an easy capture. A move like that would definitely do the trick with Noibat being Flying and Dragon, it was double weak to Ice type moves. I was incredibly lucky that Shadow, being a Fire type and all had access to this move. It's a move that most opponents never see coming until it's too late, just like in this case.

    Noibat though, did something that nearly scared me for two reasons. One, I didn't want to knock it out, and I was worried about his health. Noibat fell to the ground and didn't move. Shadow began to look confused and worried. He knew he couldn't have possibly used more force than necessary, but then again everyone makes mistakes. He started to let his guard down. My Ranger was already on his way to call off the battle, but Noibat jolted up and flung itself towards Shadow, sort of karate chopping his back with his right wing.

    "Crafty little guy, it played possum to give itself an opening to attack with a Brick Break. Not only that, but it still seems to have a bit of fight left in it. It's smart, and tough, I think you'll be lucky with this one if you catch it, Jerome," My ranger said to me. He was right, this one wasn't down and out just let. He still had some tricks left up his sleeve. I liked a Pokemon who didn't give up.

    Shadow looked a little annoyed that Noibat bested him, stuff like that hardly happened to him, but Noibat managed to do it. Shadow pulled himself together and waited for my next move. Shadow still had some speed in him from the Flame Charge, so I was going to use that to my advantage.

    "Shadow, combo Superfang with Will-o-Wisp." was all I said. Shadow had preformed this combo before a while back, in fact, he was the one that came up with the idea.

    I was going to have Shadow use Will-o-Wisp on Noibat. However, to prevent and fires or anything, I was going to use it in a combo that would make sure no fire went anywhere other than where we wanted it to. Shadow was going to use Super Fang and charge at Noibat. When he got close enough, he'd use Will-o-Wisp to surround his enlarged fangs as he bit down on Noibat. That would hopefully be all the damage we'd need. To be sure, I pulled out a calming fragrance plus and released the contents of the vile. I now brought out a Superball and waited for Shadow to make his move for me to then throw this Pokeball.

    @Dinobot;

    BP #4

    I looked over at Jerome, and I knew the look I saw in his eyes. He wanted to end this battle right now, and I don't really blame him as it felt like it's been going on for five months now. I mean it was really like eight minutes or so, but still. Either way I knew his battle style, and knowing him now would be the time he would strike with some kind of quick hit, and status move combo to try to lock things up.

    "Shadow, combo Superfang with Will-o-Wisp," Jerome commanded.

    Ah ha, I knew it, I thought to myself, knowing my battle instincts haven't gotten that rusty if I could figure out what Jerome was going to do. Well partly anyway.

    This was a fairly simple combo. Super Fang was a move that when successfully, and perfectly used would do damage equal to exactly half the opponents current health. Because of that though it generally couldn't be used until the opposing Pokemon was rather weak, since it took time to hit it. As for the second move, Will-o-Wisp, it was a move that automatically burned the Pokemon upon hitting it, and it was never better performed than by a Fire-type.

    Noibat was trying to act tough, but by looking at it I knew it didn't really have enough energy left to do much of anything, and was just waiting for the battle to end now. Of course that could have also meant that it just saw Houndoom, and Jerome as formidable foes, and accepted him as its trainer as a result.

    Houndoom raced over, jumped up, and sunk its teeth right into Noibat. Right after, Houndoom jumped back while Noibat was still visibly in pain, and it let out four blueish-white balls of flames, appearing like a hybrid of a Ghost, and Fire-type move. It fired the Will-o-Wisp at the little bat, and hit it dead on, inflicting a burn on the Noibat.

    Jerome wasn't fully satisfied with that though, and just to make sure everything would be settled now he pulled out a Calming Fragrance Max, and sprayed it in the general area.

    "Gah, I think some of that got in my eyes," I said, as I rubbed my eyes, while Gardevoir just gave a look.

    After doing this, Houndoom backed away, and Jerome threw a Super Ball in the direction of Noibat. Though there was a bit of resistance after it went in the ball its capture was secure, and Jerome now had his third Pokemon.

    "Well congrats. That makes three captures now. I suppose you're satisfied, or did you wish to still continue on?"
