“Before you ask, I have no interest in battling this Wynaut. I wasn’t never too big on Wobbuffet to begin with. So, if it’s all the same to you, I’d like to pass on this thing, and given my current luck I have a Pokedoll ready just in case.”

I laughed. “Figured as much. The cave is only two hundred yards ahead, if it hasn’t left us by then you can give it a Pokedoll.”

Two hundred yards later the Wynaut was trudging along behind us still calling out its name in a proud manner. I looked at the mouth of the cave and sighed back at the Wynaut. “Hand over that doll,” I said to Eric. When he grudgingly handed over the toy I heaved it back into the tall grass and watched as Wynaut scurried after the thing.

With that done I shrugged at Eric and moved the last few yards towards the mouth of the cave. But before we could enter a large shape obscured the entrance, but it was hidden in the shadows. Then to my surprise another stepped forward and they bothe exited together. One was the long body of the Legend Giratina and the other was the small pink form of an Audino.

“Wow, double the trouble.” I glanced aside at Eric. “You want to tangle with either of them?”

OOC: Eh I actually changed my mind, I see no reason to go for this thing @AmericanTreeFrog

IC: Yet again another Pokedoll was used. Now I was becoming pretty frustrated, so much so to the point where I was just thinking about cutting my losses here, and reentering the park again. I thought against it though, and that I would keep going on. But, if things stayed ugly like this, then I probably would end up leaving, before I needed to spend all my Pokedolls here.

We continued to walk, and I ended up running into an interesting duo. On one end there was a very powerful, and deadly legendary Pokemon; Giratina. On the other end there was a virtually useless Pokemon, one only good for defense; Audino. Some people might consider this lucky, but not me. Even if Audino were rare, they were really only good for a double battle, something I rarely do.

“Wow, double the trouble. You want to tangle with either of them?” Gaius asked.

"No thanks, I couldn't even capture Giratina, so to battle it would be a waste, and Audino doesn't capture my interest, I prefer attackers. I'll just pass, but let me get the Pokedoll ready, because I'm sure I'll need to use it."

Eric seemed to think about it before making up his mind. “No thanks, I couldn’t even capture Giratina, so to battle it would be a waste, and Audino doesn’t capture my interest; I prefer attackers. I’ll just pass, but let me get the Pokedoll ready, because I’m sure I’ll need to use it.”

“No problem.” I looked at the Pokemon guarding the entrance to the cave and gave them a stern look. Giratina returned my glare but Audino shiffted uncomfortably. The smaller Audino looked up at Giratina and tugged on one of it’s thick legs. Giratina seemed to resist for a few seconds before it released and audible sigh and retreated back in the cave with its companion. I turned to Eric. “You can keep that Pokedoll this time, now let’s head into that cave!”

Without anymore Pokemon guarding the cave entrance I just walked up to and peered in, just in time to see the furious batting of wings as a Woobat came zooming out, the duo we had just come into contact with must have spooked it.

“Huh, another Woobat. Let’s see if it doesn’t notice us since you already have one.”

Giratina and Audino let us pass. "What a bizarre combo that was..." I said to myself. Why would an Audino, and a Giratina be traveling around together, I had to wonder. Still I guess it wasn't too much of a problem, I got around them, and was on my way again. I didn't know what was coming my way next, though I didn't like the feeling that I had about it, well, I soon discovered why.

“Huh, another Woobat. Let’s see if it doesn’t notice us since you already have one,” Gaius said, as he pointed up at the next Pokemon. It was another Woobat, just like the one I encountered before. It was rather infuriating.

The only thing I could even think to say here was, "oh, son of a...well, you know the drill, lets try to flee, and if we can't I'm ready with the doll."

“Oh, son of a... Well, you know the drill, let’s try to flee and we can’t I’m ready with the doll.”

I nodded grimly. “I understand, hasn’t been much of a run so far. Let’s get in the cave, if it follows us I’ll toss it the doll.”

I took the doll from Eric’s outstretched hand and walked into the cave. But sure enough the Woobat dived at us as we entered the cave. I ducked down to escape it and placed the doll on the ground for Woobat to attack. As the Woobat descended upon the hapless toy I grabbed a Pokeball and called out my Infernape.

“Mind giving us some light?” I asked her.

The fire monkey glanced around the dark confines of the cave then summoned a ball of fire on her hand. The small orb of flame quickly revealed the cave tunnel leading deeper and filled the small space with heat. We proceeded down the tunnel and were rounding the tunnel when an orange sun-shaped Pokemon came out from behind a rock.

“It’s a Solrock,” I said to Eric

Woobat took the Pokedoll. The Pokemon here had been rather annoying, stealing my Pokedolls, and such. If that Audino before hadn't been with Giratina I probably would have punched it, due to not taking a Pokedoll. Still I kept my burning rage under control, and pressed on once again.

Gaius released his Infernape, and asked it to produce some light for us. I could have had Absol do that as well with Will-o-Wisp, but meh. No matter, we kept going, and ironically enough the light showed me something that would make me think of the light. It was a sun-like Pokemon, one with a moon-like Pokemon counterpart.

“It’s a Solrock,” Gaius said.

"Indeed it is, however I have no interest in this. I mean, it's not a bad Pokemon, I just never seeing myself using one, so it wouldn't make sense for me to capture one, right? Good thing I stocked up on plenty of Pokedolls, just in case of this."

I tried to lead the way around the Pokemon, but everytime I did so it float directly in front of us, blocking the path.

“That’s the problem with this place.” I sighed. “Rare Pokemon, but nobody likes people going in here.” I took a Pokedoll from Eric and placed it on the ground for Solrock to take. With the doll now Solrock left us to go take up the doll.

Now that it was out of the way we proceeded down the tunnel. We hadn’t reached the first cave juncture when I heard a bouncing sound coming towards us. Infernape cocked her head to hear better as I held a hand up for Eric to wait. We didn’t have to wait long as a moment later a gray a pink Pokemon came bouncing around the corner on its spiral tail.

“Spoink!” the Pokemon squealed in excitement.

“Let’s see if we can walk past it before we try a Pokedoll,” Gaius said to me. Unfortunately there was no such luck, and Solrock made it a point to get right in front of us. Oh man, if I was evil I would have had Absol destroy that thing, but with it nearly being the holiday season and all my evilness was at a low, and so I just used another Pokedoll.

“That’s the problem with this place. Rare Pokemon, but nobody likes people going in here.” I guess that made sense. Pokemon did seem to protect rarer Pokemon, or at least group together. I mean, I remember back in Mount Deckbi I ran into Reshiram, and then right into a Larvesta right afterward, so who knew.

We kept going, and the next thing I ran into was also a disappointment. It was a Spoink. I thought that I could go for some bacon right about now, but then again it probably wouldn't taste so good coming from a Spoink so.

"I'll pass on this one too. Spoink isn't my kind of Pokemon really. Just let me get another Pokedoll ready, cause, yeah..."

“I’ll pass on this one too. Spoink isn’t my kind of Pokemon really. Just let me get another Pokedoll ready, cause, yeah...” Eric said darkly

To be honest I couldn’t really blame him, the Pokemon were being very finicky and not letting him just get away, and I thought that was rather rude. I looked at the little Spoink and kneeled to where I could look the Psychic Pokemon in the eyes.

“Hey, there cutie, do you mind if we pass on by.” I indicated Eric. “He’s been having a bad day and he isn’t interested in battling you. Think we can get by safely?”

Spoink pointed its black beady eyes at Eric then flickered its gaze back to me. “Spoink!” it said before it continued to hop down the tunnel and away from us.

“Nice, let’s continue on with this.” This time we weren’t harrased until we reached the juncture in the cave. The right ran to the higher elevations and the other ran deeper into the cave. “Let’s take the left path, I like that one better.”

As I moved to enter the tunnel a voice rang out in the darkness of the cave, “Duskull.”

“Nice, let’s continue on with this. Let’s take the left path, I like that one better," Gaius said to me once we got past Spoink. Finally a Pokemon with some sense of reason not to waste our time. Or maybe being a Psychic-type it read my mind, and knew I could go for some bacon. Hey, either way we got around it, and I was on to my next Pokemon.

This time around it was a Ghost-type I ran into, one with a strong resemblance to the grim reaper. It appeared as though it had a black robe, and it looked like it had a bone mask for a face. It was a Duskull, a primarily defensive Pokemon once it evolved into Dusclops, and Dusknoir. It wasn't a particularly bad Pokemon, it just wasn't my kind of Pokemon.

"I'd like to pass on this little guy. I don't mind them, but defensive types aren't really my thing. Lets see if it allows us to pass, or if it wants the company of a Pokedoll as well."

“I’d like to pass on this guy,” said Eric, not to my surprise. “I don’t mind them, but defensive types aren’t really my thing. Let’s see if it allows us to pass, or if it wants the company of a Pokedoll as well.”

“Let’s go down the path and see if it still follows us.” We headed down the rocky path on the left and the slow somber voice of the Pokemon slowly faded away. “Excellent news,” I said to Eric. “There is a small underwater stream down here, it runs along the south face. Sometime rare Pokemon get their liquids from there.”

With the help of the light from Infernape, I kept walking until I heard the soft sound of running water. In a short amount of time we reached the small stream. Sure enough there was a Pokemon there. It was a light green Pokemon encased in an jello-like substance that was also green. The Pokemon was sucking water through the gel and into its petite mouth. It’s red square nose blinked in alarm when it saw us, we must have startled the Pokemon.

“Ah, a Duosion, the first I’ve seen.”

We got around Duskull with no trouble, I guess the little guy didn't want my soul, or a Pokedoll. Now that it was out of the way, we could be on the way. With only three encounters left before I needed to leave the park I had to wonder if I would even walk away with three Pokemon. I mean forget about using my Hall Pass here, but I generally don't like leaving the park with any less than three Pokemon. A trend that I started at Oktori when I left with; Vanillite, Sneasel, and Gurdurr. Kept that going at the Plant leaving with; Porygon, Rotom, and Klang. And in my most recent trip to Deckbi walking away with; Growlithe, Darumaka, and Larvesta. Here though, with only three Pokemon to go, and one captured currently my odds of this were looking slim. Still, I had to at least press on, and keep trying.

“There is a small underwater stream down here, it runs along the south face. Sometime rare Pokemon get their liquids from there,” Gaius said, taking me away from my train of thought. I figured it couldn't hurt to at least examine the area. We got down there, and I saw a bizarre looking Pokemon. It was, well, it looked like a weird, green, jello-like mold. Inside of this goo though was a small, pale green body. It had a rather large head, and its mouth appeared to be a red diamond. It was a freaky looking Pokemon to say the least, and it was currently a middle stage evolution. It evolved once, and could evolve once more. Once this Pokemon evolved, well it would be good on both offense, and defense.

“Ah, a Duosion, the first I’ve seen,” Gaius said. Duosion wasn't a bad Pokemon, it was the evolved form of Solosis, and would evolve into a Reuniclus. It didn't learn a ton of moves, but it could make due with what it had. At least it was a nice change of pace from the stuff I had been currently encountering.

"Well, this isn't so bad. I believe I'll battle this thing. I don't even need to think about which Pokemon to use, I have the perfect one for the job standing right here. You're up Absol," I said, as I looked over at her. She moved in and took her stance. I had been wanting to use Absol for some time now, and this battle did seem like the perfect time to find out what it was capable of. Of course though I also needed to figure out just what Duosion was capable of too, and I guess the only way to do that would be to try to back it into a corner as quickly as possible.

"All right Absol, use a combination of a Thunder Wave, and a Quick Attack," I commanded. This combo was kind of simple, and it could be done one of two ways really. Absol could first either fire off a Thunder Wave, then use Quick Attack to hit Duosion so that it couldn't get away from Thunder Wave. Or Absol could hit Duosion with a Quick Attack first, and then shoot Thunder Wave at it after the impact. I guess it was just really based on how Absol felt like doing things. I was mostly just concerned with Thunder Wave here, so that's why I wanted Quick Attack to be the attack, it would generally strike before most other attacks, so it could hit before Thunder Wave, maybe.

Quick Attack was just like its name sounded. The user would race over to the opposing Pokemon at an increased speed, and hit them at the first chance it saw. Thunder Wave was a little bit different though. Absol would create a small blue ball of energy from its mouth. This ball contained pure electricity on the inside. When Absol saw the time to be right it would shoot the ball at Duosion, and as the ball got close to it, it would explode releasing the electricity from the ball in an attempt to surprise the opposing Pokemon. This way of using Thunder Wave was a technique I taught to only Ambipom and Absol, due to the fact that all my other Pokemon had a way of releasing the energy, such as through their antennas, in the case of Dragonite anyway. Either way it proved to be effective most of the time.

Absol got itself ready, and glared at Duosion. I was curious to see what Duosion would do here, and just how durable it would be. Even if it was durable, well thankfully Absol had plenty of moves it could use to wear it down as time went on.

You’re up Absol,” Eric said, gesturing for his Absol to move forward. “All right, Absol, use a combination of a Thunder Wave, and a Quick Attack.”

Absol was but a blur as it used the shadows to its advantage. The startled Duosion didn’t have much time to move because Eric had thought so quickly that the wild Pokemon wasn’t sure what to do. As such it was struck bodily by Absol and lost its balance and fell into the stream. It came up sputtering water out of its protective gel just in time to get by the blue energy of Thunder Wave.

It’s small body jerked for a second as its muscles spasmed from the Electric typed attack. It levitated out of the water and looked at its foe. Then, quick as a wink, twin walls of energy materialized in front of it, one pink and the other a cyan color. Both walls fused with one another then disappeared with a soft pop. Next a small amount of dark purple goo began to materialize from the ground beneath it.

“Smart Pokemon, it knows its at a disadvantage and is trying to turn the table,” I muttered to Infernape, impressed, who just nodded her shaggy head at me.

IC: Duosion was now paralyzed, making it somewhat easier to capture. Now it meant I could spend the rest of my focus attacking it, and chipping away at its health until it was in a good capture region. This, of course meant that under no circumstances would Duosion be easier to battle. Sure being paralyzed meant it had a chance to not attack, but I didn't particularly care about that, I mean, wheres the fun in attacking a sitting duck? Of course though Duosion seemed to be understanding of what was going on. I mean it did what it could to try to make the best of things. It rose up two barriers, the ones for Special and Physical attacks; Reflect and Light Screen. Both of these moves cut the damage from their respective split attacks in half. So now Absol would need to try twice as hard to damage Duosion to weaken it. It's times like this where I wish Absol could learn Brick Break, because Brick Break destroys both Light Screen and Reflect. Oh well, I'll just need to keep going at it.

"Hey, you got off to a great start there Absol, and now lets make sure that you hold nothing back go it?!" I said to Absol excitedly to try to rev it up. In order to really put a dent in Duosion at this time Absol was going to need to push itself hard, and it was going to need to do another combo to overcome Reflect. I didn't work out the specifics in the long run, but for now I had a pretty good idea of what I should do, and who knows, maybe as the battle went on this would prove to be my best course of action.

"Get ready for this Absol. First up boost your power with a Curse, and then get in there and hit Duosion with a Night Slash. Don't worry too much about Toxic, I mean if it hits that should be motivation for you to want to damage Duosion right? And if things start to get ugly with Toxic, I'll make sure you get out of there before things get too bad," I commanded, and told Absol. Absol understood this, it was loyal to me, but it also knew I wouldn't let anything bad befall it, which is why I brought a full team of six Pokemon along this time, just in case I needed to make mid battle substitutions. We both knew that this was an opportunity that we couldn't let slip by, not with how many Pokemon were left.

Curse was to come first, it was a Ghost-type move that had one of two different effects depending on the type using it. If Curse was used by a Ghost-type then the user would turn pain into, well...more pain. It would appear as though a nail is being driven into the Pokemon using it, and they would lose half of their maximum energy, placing a curse in turn on the opposing Pokemon. This curse would drain the Pokemon of one fourth of their maximum strength at the end of each turn of combat. It was a good way to take out stallers, or if the Pokemon using it was about to be knocked out. In the case of a non-Ghost type such as Absol though, the users body turns into a shade of red, and purple bits of energy started to rise about around the Pokemon. What this would do is lower their speed, but increase both their Attack, and Defense. It was a good tactical move for offensive attackers, or Pokemon in need of boosted defense.

Next up after that was going to be Night Slash. This was the Dark-type version of Slash. Absol would run over, and start trying to hit Duosion with its claws, trying to inflict some damage. Night Slash, much like the other variations of Slash, had an increased chance for a critical hit. I didn't really care if I scored one or not though, I just wanted a reliable move, and a move that was bother super effective against Duosion, and give a STAB boost to Absol was good to me. Of course there was no telling if this would really work or not, I mean Toxic could just be the start of something big from Duosion, but I guess only time could show that to me.

This surprised me that Eric was risking the health of Absol by not dodging the Toxic. He did have a full team and items to back him up, but I would thought he’d let Absol escape the pain of Toxic. Hopefully his strategy would pay dividends in the end.

As the white body of Absol took on a more red shade as the Pokemon channeled some of the energy it used for speed to up its attack and defense stat, something usually risky, but because Duosion was paralyzed it didn’t really matter.

However, when Absol had completed its Curse move, the Toxic had oozed forward and was now penetrating the skin of Absol, inflicting the painful Toxic status. The Absol bit back a bark of pain and rushed the Duosion, its long scythe lake blade going dark from the energies required to use Night Slash.

Duosion calmly waited for Absol to reach him as his body was glowing a soft white instead of the normal green. The Pokemon did yelp when the powerful Night Slash passed through its body, but it retaliated with a fist punch to the body of Absol, sending the Pokemon skidding backward.

Thanks to that Night Slash Duosion’s health was dramatically low and it wouldn’t be able to survive another attack like that.

IC: This battle was certainly taking a turn for the interesting. Neither Duosion, nor Absol was giving any less than everything they had it seemed. Duosion was hit with a very powerful Night Slash, so powerful that it seemed to take a lot of the fight Duosion had out of it. It wasn't done by any means yet, but another Night Slash might end up knocking it out, so I had to be careful. It was alright though, I don't tend to repeat the same moves in a single battle unless given no other choice. Still I couldn't ignore what Duosion did. It pulled off a little combo of its own. Once Toxic hit Duosion used a Psych Up to copy the stat changes that Absol had. This meant that Duosion lost some speed, but gained both attack and defense. Now Duosion was in a sense just as powerful as Absol. This wasn't the end of things though, Duosion made it a point to hit Absol as it was near it. It hit Absol with a Dizzy Punch, a move where the user punches the opposing the Pokemon, and has a chance to confuse them. Unfortunately in this case Absol was confused, but hey it was all fair game here. With Absol being Confused, and Toxic'd, and Duosion being Paralyzed this battle could go either way.

I was in a bit of a bind now though, I mean I didn't want to hurt Duosion too much, or else I might knock it out. At the same time though I didn't want to give Duosion a major opening it could capitalize on. Hmm, what was I to do here? I could have had Absol use Will-o-Wisp to make Duosion even easier to capture, but I thought against that. With Absol being confused I didn't want it shooting out balls of fire, because while I trusted Absol, some Pokemon don't see right when being confused, and it could send those fire balls anywhere, and I did not want to start a fire. Still, I did have that option in the back of my head that I could save for a little later on, but I didn't want to use Will-o-Wisp unless it was a last resort. There was also the element that Absol had boosted its attack, but it didn't particularly have the greatest Special Attack, so one of its special moves would probably be best here. Which one should I use though? It had; Flamethrower, Ice Beam, and Thunderbolt. Flamethrower would be the same problem as using Will-o-Wisp, and that was wildly shooting out flames. Ice Beam wasn't a terrible idea, but then again the attack could miss and end up freezing things, so that was out. This left me with Thunderbolt, and I had an idea, well not so much an idea as it was hope of something.

"Oh well, guess I'll just need to risk this. I know you're confused Absol, but I also know you'll try to do anything you'll told. Remember the Thunder Wave you used? Well, you obviously made it with your own energy, using the same energy use a Thunderbolt, and if you can, try to sense out the energy you already had used. I know it might sound confusing, but it isn't as bad as you might think," I said to Absol. I was hoping that maybe, just maybe, if Absol could lock onto the energy it put into Thunder Wave, then the Thunderbolt would be guided to that same energy like a magnet, and hit Duosion. Of course this was all just a chance I was taking, but still battles, as well as things in life, didn't come without taking chances and risks. Plus, in the worse case scenario if this doesn't work, then Absol will be that much closer to bypassing its confusion. Times like this when I wish all my Pokemon had motivational moves like Work Up, but I'd just need to go as things are.

Thunderbolt was like its name sounded. It was a strong electric blast, resembling pure strikes of electricity seen in storm clouds. Being interested in weather helped me get an understanding of any weather related attacks, and Thunderbolt was no exception. I was just hoping that my gut instinct was right here, because Absol couldn't rely on its eyes. This was making me think of the earlier battle between Golett, and Zoroark; Golett had confused Zoroark, and Zoroark had to use its other senses to get a hit in on Golett. This was no difference, I was hoping Absol could lock in on its former energy due to Thunder Wave, and Thunderbolt both being Electric-type attacks, and attack like that, rather than possible hurting itself, attacking blindly.

I didn't know what was going to happen here, but I was at least fairly certain Duosion wouldn't be knocked out. I knew this attack probably wouldn't end things in the sense of making Duosion able to be caught either. I figured another small attack, or possibly Will-o-Wisp, would need to be used to bring it into capture range. Then again perhaps Thunderbolt would be enough to bring it into good capture range, well provided it hit anyway.

This was the one thing I liked about traveling to the park, the uncertainty and excitement of the battles. Duosion, a Pokemon that by all means should be outclassed by Absol, was putting up a fantastic fight despite that. This made me want to capture it, and see what it could do as a Reuinclus. I was now more excited than I had been at any point during this trip, I just hoped I'd get one more battle to use this surge of excitement during.

That might work, despite already using the Thunder Wave there was traces of the pent up electrons or protons still in the air. If those particles hadn’t spread to far away they would act as beacon to the Duosion, if Absol could sense those out. It would be much easier for a Electric type than a Dark, but it was possible.

Absol was still confused and was shaking its bladed head, trying to clear the haze as it listened to its master. The white fur on Absol stood up on ends as Absol began to charge the attack. A moment later Absol fired a bolt of lightening at Duosion, but instead of striking the Psychic type, the attack turned around and hit Absol. The Pokemon had nearly done what Eric commanded, only instead of lcoking onto Duosion, it had locked onto its own path.

As Absol slumped to the ground tired from the last attack and latest round of Toxic damage, Duosion’s body began to glow white and a moment later so did Absol’s.

"Tsk, return Absol, I refuse to have you smack again. So much for letting you travel outside of your ball," I said as I returned Absol to its ball. It was done battling here, it was probably just going to attack itself in the end anyway. It was at half health now, and even if Duosion did give it Magic Guard, I'd prefer to not have it sit there vulnerable to damage. Absol could rest now, and something else could settle this battle with Duosion.

"Well, now that Absol is away, I guess it's time for you my trusty partner. Show yourself, Ambipom," I said, as Ambipom came out of its Pokeball, taking the place of Absol. Absol had done a good job, but thanks to confusion that was cut short. Still, I knew Ambipom could finish this up. It had plenty of power, and a lot of moves it could use. Of course I already planned out which two moves I wanted it to use in my head. They were moves that, hopefully, would finish things up with Duosion.

"Now that you're here the real fun can begin. You know what to do, use Fake Out!" I commanded. Fake Out was how I started off every battle with Ambipom. Sometimes I would use a move with Fake Out, but in this case Duosion was already weakened, so it didn't need to be hit with anything too fancy. Of course this was provided that Ambipom could even attack. I wasn't sure if a Pokemon could attack when it was switched in in the park, or if it was like an actual battle, and would need to wait. I guess I'd soon find out though.

Either way though Fake Out would end up being the move Ambipom used, whether it was this round, or next. It was a signature move of the monkey. It was a Normal-type move, equal to that in power of Quick Attack. Due to Ambipom's ability, Technician though, the power of this move would be boosted. Between STAB and Technician, this was why it was considered a signature move. Fake Out could only be used the turn that a Pokemon was on the battle field. Due to its effect this was understandable. When it would hit, it would cause the opposing Pokemon to flinch, provided it could flinch.

I didn't know what was going to happen here. I didn't even know if Ambipom would attack or not. All I knew was that Duosion would pay for what it did to Absol.

A solid change of strategy by Eric. Duosion had just obtained a slight advantage over Absol due to its stat increases and Absol being confused. Absol might have been able to beat Duosion, but it would be an uphill climb and not worth the damage.

As the Ambipom appeared the Duosion moved to intercept it with an attack, but as it tried to do so, Ambipom came flying towards it and smacked it with his tail-hands, causing to the Duosion to flinch momentarily and lose its concentration. Duosion faced Ambipom and closed its eyes, and a moment later its body began to glow a mute pink color.

Fake Out hit Duosion head on, and slowed it down. Unfortunately though Duosion still had time to try to prepare an attack, and it was already in the making. Unless my eye sight was tricking me it appeared as though the move it was getting ready was Pain Split. Pain Split would take Ambipom's health, add it together with Duosion's, and then split it between the two. It was a great, and deadly move to use against a Pokemon who had more health. If this worked then nearly everything I'd done to Duosion up to this point would have been all for not, and I'd need to keep attacking.

"No, I will not allow you to heal yourself!" I yelled at Duosion. This was my chance, I needed to attempt to capture it right now. I was going to try to use Toxic before I threw the ball, but I couldn't waste any time, if I did then Pain Split might end up happening. I dropped my bag to the floor, and rummaged around in it for a ball. Park Balls wouldn't work, and I only had one Dark Ball, so that was out. This left me with Super and Hyper Balls. Given the way that Hyper Balls are more secure than Super I knew I needed to use one.

I pulled the Hyper Ball out, and set my sights on Duosion. There was no guarantee that this would work, I mean I hadn't even weakened it as much as I would have liked. But still I needed to risk this. I kissed the Hyper Ball for good luck, and threw it at Duosion. "Come on...please work," I said as I watched the ball approach it. I spent a decent amount of time battling Duosion, and I didn't want Absol's hard work to go to waste. This right now though was all in the hands of lady luck.
