    OOC: Sorry about the delay, but I should be able to post REALLY fast from now on.

    ~~~~~
    "This Magnemite sure is a smart cookie. Okay, Jolteon, this may seem weird and all. But, promise me you'll try and do it? I know you can,” James said encouragingly.
    Hairdo barked confirmation – if his Trainer was up for it, he was too.
    "Here's my thinking,” James mused out loud. “Magnemite works on a series of electricity - charged by the magnetic currents in its system. So, you can use your own electrical energy to draw it closer. This works similar to its own Magnet Pull ability. Jolteon, start charging the electricity now!"
    Hairdo began growling. Small sparks began shedding off his spiky hair the way a dog would shed water after swimming. The sparks didn’t fall to the ground, though – they moved in a barely discernable rotation. I flicked on a filter in my eyepiece – sure enough, an electromagnetic field was swirling around Hairdo, and growing larger as it did so.
    Within half a minute, the edge of the field touched the Magnemite. It whirred in surprise, and began to move backwards, but it was already trapped. It fought off the magnetic attraction for half a minute, but it eventually began to move grudgingly towards the Jolteon.
    "Reflect when it comes close to send it flying,” James called.
    The Magnemite continued to fight the attraction, but it couldn’t. Instead, it began to make a horrible screeching sound. The sonic filter sponges in my ear registered the offensive tones and thickened themselves to repel the frequency of the attack. I knew it’d still be driving Hairdo and James crazy, though.
    Hairdo’s hackles raised and his eyes started to wander, but he managed to concentrate enough to complete to combination attack. Finally, the Magnemite hit the stronger parts of the field, and it shot towards the Jolteon. At the last second, a blue pane of energy sprung into existence in-between the two opponents. The Magnemite struck the square at a fair speed, and reflected off of it into the wall. It left a small crater, but wobbled back up into the air easily enough. The Reflect still sat squarely between it and its opponent, but Hairdo was having trouble keeping it all together. The Supersonic attack had really done a number on him.
    OOC: It's fine
    iC:
    The Magnemite was dragged forward by the magnetic current, despite it's unwillingness. It tried to struggle and escape from the predicament but eventually it appeared to give up and I felt a tad disappointed. I was hoping this Magnemite was a real fighter and woul have mo problem taking on bigger and better opponents. Then, to my horror, it began making horrible screeching sounds-- Supersonic attack was what it was if I remembered correctly. My hands instinctively covered my ears and I tried to block out the headache-inducing waves. Poor Hairdoo, on the other hand, couldn't do a thing an he was even closer than I was to the Magnemite.
    "Are you okay, buddy?" I asked, a tone of concern in my voice. The battle was important but it was nowhere near as important as my prized Pokemon's health and safety. He growled in response, something I'd take as a weak yes reply. "Reflect, now!" I ordered. Hopefully the confusion won't effect his performance and he'll be able to pull off this somewhat risky performance. Jolteon struggled for a bit as true Magnemite approached even closer and I gasped; the Magnemite could take advantage of being this close and strike really hard at a close-range attack. This wasn't one bit good. Jolteon had to act really fast or this would have all been invain. Suddenly, a light blue pane of something that resembled glass formed before Jolteon.
    "Mite mite!" Magnemite whirred a it hit the wall that was Reflect. It looked as though Magnemite was trapped in some sort of never-ending vortex for a moment, but then he was flung backwards at a frightening speed. "Mite," it squeaked as it cartwheeled and spun around, like some sort of dedicated ballerina. it looked as though the Magnemite was trained to be so fluent in it's movements, but when the steel ball crashed I knew otherwise. It hit into the hard ground and struggled to rise for a second. But, like Magnemite always do, it found away to float back up into it's levitating position, only a few small dents on it's porcelain body.
    "Okay, Jolteon. That thing sure is a lot sturdier than we anticipated. I'm going to call you back because I don't want to see you confused and end up attacking yourself or walking into a wall or something stupid like that. Come on back, Jolteon!" I commanded, inflated Pokeball in one hand. A red beam of light shot out and formed a circle around Jolteon. It sucked him inside and shot back into my awaiting hand. "Excellent," I said with a smile. Jolteon probably didn't want to go back but I knew it was in his and my best interests for him to return. I took a pause to think of what Pokemon I should send. I was pretty certain Bronzong couldn't do all that much to the Magnemite, it was like Jolteon in that manner-- and Porygon-Z was too powerful and versatile... and sometimes couldn't control his temper. In the end, O choose the safest bet.
    "Bronzong, come on out!" I called and in a flash of purple-- my Bronzong had a much rarer Pokeball than the rest of my Pokemon. It was strange. Bronzong materialise before me and faced the little Magnemite. My Bronzong could get quite competitive against Steel types but I knew he would never do more damage than was necessary-- and especially not KO the new Magnemite. After all, I wanted this Magnemite to join our ranks and hopefully be a strong member in my team really soon.
    "Zong," the huge steel bell chimed in a very low tone. It advanced on the Magnemite, possibly trying to intimidate it.
    "No, Bronzong, use your Hypnosis attack to lul it to sleep and then follow up with an Extrasensory attack!" I told my Bronzing.
    Bronzong tended to perform Hypnosis a lot different than most other Pokemon did. It would send out hidden frequency waves and try and tap into the opposing Pokemon's senses trying to lure them into a false sleep. Bronzong was quite calculate and I knew he could get this attack to work more frequently than any other Pokemon I had. As for his other attack, Extrasensory. It was a powerful psy-wave that would hopefully strike the sleeping Magnemite, yet it hopefully wouldn't wake it. Extrasensory plays tricks with your mind and makes you see things you shouldn't. Hopefully this would be quite effective on the Magnemite...
    Suddenly, I had an odd thought. This Magnemite could actually be weaker than it was letting on, sturdier steel types did tend to that, I thought with a glance at Bronzong. Perhaps, after Bronzong's attacks, I can throw a Pokeball, or a Park Ball. Yeah, a Park Ball. I pulled one of the lovely blue contraptions from my pocket as I watched Bronzong do his Hypnosis attack. After these attacks, I would toss the ball out, sucking the possibly-sleeping dual Steel/Electric type inside and granting me a successful capture. I wanted to hurry up with this run through the Park. There wasn't much encounters left, afterall. I held the ball between my finger-tips and got ready to toss it...
    OOC: Sorry for short post, writing during Uni lecture :X
    ~~~~~

    James decided to return Hairdo, and bring out his Bronzong which I randomly remembered was nicknamed Bronzor. I thought this was a smart move - Hairdo had managed to pull off the combo, but he hadn't seemed in a strong place mentally.

    "Bronzong, use your Hypnosis attack to lull it to sleep and then follow up with an Extrasensory attack!" James called to Bronzor.

    I expected it to start using lights or telekinetic waves to try to put the Magnemite to sleep, but the Bronzong just hovered there, doing nothing. I was a bit confused, and I think the Magnemite was too. It fired a blast of electricity at the Bronzong which struck it hard, but the Bronzong didn't move at all. I pulled out my PDA, and realised what it was doing. It was using invisible electromagnetic waves to put the Wild Pokemon to sleep. Quite ingenious.

    Finally, the Magnemite's eye began to droop. It hit the ground, fast asleep, and then Bronzor started releasing purple waves that knocked the small Steel Pokemon into a wall. Normally, that would have woken a Pokemon up, but because the sleep was electric-based not mind based, the Magnemite snoozed on.

    James pulled out a Park Ball and threw it at the Wild Pokemon. It got sucked in and the ball shook for a couple seconds before laying still.

    "Congratulations, you just caught a Magnemite," I said to James as I walked over and picked the ball up.

    "Congratultaion," my ranger said after the Magnemite was sucked into the Park Ball. The ball quickly stopped rolling and I watched in mild curiosity as it lay there, motionless. He bent down and scooped up the Park Ball, then stowed it in his pocket. I let out a sigh of relief.

    "Finally, I caught something," I mumbled to myself. I've yet to have a fruitless run but the run was drawing to a close as night was approaching. I had doubts hovering in the back of my mind. Magnemite were quite cool after all. "Let's continue on," I said to the ranger with a smile.

    Suddenly, I stopped. Something wasn't right. I spun around to see my Porygon-Z, Cyber Duck, collapse onto the ground. I ran forward and checked its neck pulse and let myself relax. Thank God Porygon-Z was breathing, but what the hell had happened there? I watched its pinky-red and blue chest rise and fall slowly. My hand hovered over its body, anxious to wake it and wonder what the hell happened. Perhaps it was because of the heat that had slowly began creeping up on me and I only realised then that I was sweating buckets. I withdrew a bottle of water and poured some of the ice-cold clear liquid onto its hot-to-touch skin. Its body stiffened and it rose with a jolt.

    Slowly, magestically, it fluttered up to its one large lower limb and smiled. Its yellow-and-black spiral eyes bore into me and I could sense something was wrong. Perhaps my beloved Pokemon didn't want to sayanything in front of the stranger...

    "Let's continue on," James said to me, grinning. I grinned back - I knew he hadn't caught anything yet, so it was good to know he wasn't going home empty-handed.

    I was just about to lead us onwards when suddenly James' Porygon-Z collapsed onto the ground. I started forwards involuntarily - as a Ranger I was hardwired to help Pokemon in distress - but I remembered that Cyber Duck wasn't a Wild. He had a Trainer, and some Pokemon didn't like being near strangers. Hell, some humans felt that way.

    James knelt down and checked on his Pokemon. After a couple seconds, he pulled out a water bottle and poured the contents over the cybernetic Pokemon. The Porygon-Z stiffened up again, and rose gently back into the air. I knew that Porygon-Z evolved using a virus-infected data disk, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were occasional glitches. That might have been what this was, but I decided to ask anyway.

    "Is your Pokemon okay?" I asked James, stepping closer. "Can I help somehow?"

    "Is your Pokemon okay?" my ranger asked, taking a step forward. "Can I help somehow?" he asked. I knew how h must have felt; us rangers tried our best to look after all Pokemon if we could, but trainer's Pokemon were different. Sometimes trainers did not want anyone to touch their prized Pokemon that they had worke hard to get, not to mention every Pokemon, just like every human, had different perdonalities and characteristics so some might not take it too well.

    I remember one time a very snobby rich girl was my escortee through the Park and when I brushed against her equally snooty Meowth it had a little hissy fit and started to claw at me. What's worse is the rich little girl did nothing to stop her Pokemon and to add insult to iinjury, she laughed. Snapping out of my menories, I turned to my ranger and replied.

    "Yeah, I think everytying is al-" I was cut across by a weird beeping noise. I spun around to see my Porygon-Z staring at me wild-eyed, limbs thrashing wildly as it rose into the air. It began hissing and its eyes turned from a yellow and black to an odd red and white spiralled design, giving it a somewhat bloodshot look. I watched in horror as blue sparks began to shoot off of its body. This was not good; things could get really hazardous. I pulled out my Pokemon's pokeball and pushed down on it, forcing it to expand. A red beam shot out and engulfed the Porygon-Z. The ball shot back into my hand and wobbled.

    "What the hell was that!?" I said, completely exasparated.

    The ball in my hand began to shake and Porygon-Z shot out, of its own accord.

    "This has never happened before," I started. "There must be something wrong with here," I panicked. "Are there some odd transmitions or something!? Porygon-Z, get down here immediately! You're not thinking straight; I just don't know what's wrong-- if there's anything I can do to help..."

    I leapt out of the way as a white beam of light whizzed past my face. I could not risk having my ranger get hurt or anything. He had chosen to come along of his own free will, for my benefit... I had no idea what the hell was wrong with my Cyber Duck, but it had to be stopped. Tucking my head down, I charged forward, ignoring the odd showers of sparks. I tore into the air and let my body collide with Porygon-Z's, knocking him to the ground where I lay ontop of it, trying to pin my good friend down so he wouldn't hurt himselves or others. My aim was to pin him down until he calmed down and this fit passed, or... I would have my other Pokemon faint it. A horrible thing to have to do to a dear friend, but I was not ignorant; Porygon-Z is a corrupted virus Pokemon. It might not have been th best idea bringing it here.

    My original thinking was that Porygon-Z would beglad to go home, but I first encountered it on the left-wing entrance. This was a completely different environment. Infact, now that I thought about it, the presence of these computers may have set it off. The poor Porygon-Z was probably more homedick than I realised. A lump appeared in my throat and I backed away off of Cyber Duck.

    "Think you can go back to your Pokeball? I promise we'll move away from this horrible place. I didn't realise that it would be so hard to cope here."

    I saw a glimmer of the original Cyber Duck inside its eyes, and I smiled. I could tell that it would try and control itself better from now on. I guess that one occurence really was a once-off, otherwise I would have not brought it here. Porygon-Z sure was one odd creature, it sure as hell was. Whipping out his Pokeball, a navy one with brightly coloured stars, and let it expand in my hand. I pressed it against Cyber Duck's forehead and watched as it was sucked inside in the familiar beam of red light. The ball went still and I know that things would be fine.

    "Sorry about that. I really am. I think we should keep moving on, and the sooner the better," I said as though it was a laughable matter.

    I have a bad feeling about this...

    Yes, I know, Cyber Duck. I did happen to see your little attention-seeking fit.

    I wasn't attention-seeking; I had a premonition.

    Look, we can't keep trying to pull of the malfunctioning Porygon-Z trick any more. Chainy is not an idiot, nor are any of the rangers so drop it. Besides, couldn't you have just told me through telepathy?

    No, you would just ignore me. I know you have been trying to block your mind from me. We used to be so close, Jay. Why do you try hide everything from me?

    Look, buddy, we still are close but I have to keep some things private. Don't come out of your Pokeball again. Got it?

    Yes, master. But, heed my warning. I sense a bad being nearby; something more sinister than you could hope for.

    Yes, I'm sure those Goddamn Pichu and Elekid are so evil. Now, be quiet. We won't be here for much longer as night is approaching.

    Yes, master.

    "Yeah, I think everything is alr-" James started but was interrupted. The Porygon-Z started flailing around and rising into the air. It was also shedding blue sparks like a dog sheds water after swimming, and its eyes flashed from normal to red and back. It almost looked like the cybernetic Pokemon was possessed.

    "What the hell was that?" James asked rhetorically, sounding exasperated. He pulled out a Poke Ball and returned the ailing Pokemon, and I expected that to be the end of it. I was wrong. The ball started shaking, and I heard a strange grinding sound I'd never heard before. The ball snapped back open, and the Porygon-Z reappeared, still acting weird.

    "This has never happened before. There must be something wrong with here," James said in a panicked tone. "Are there some odd transmissions or something? Porygon-Z, get down here immediately! You're not thinking straight; I just don't know what's wrong--if there's anything I can do to help..."

    James started fighting his way towards the Pokemon. I was about to help, but again I decided not to unless asked. Instead, I pulled out my PDA and opened a scanner function. I pointed it at Cyber Duck, who was being talked to softly by his Trainer. There was some kind of weird interference signal. I wouldn't have thought anything of it, except as I moved it around the inference wasn't consistent. It seemed to get stronger in a particular direction.

    I noticed that James had managed to return Cyber Duck to its ball. He walked over to me."Sorry about that. I really am. I think we should keep moving on, and the sooner the better," he said, like nothing had happened.

    "Wait a sec," I cut him off. I continued to move the scanner around until I determined the origination of the signal. I turned left and looked up. I caught a glimpse of something orange watching us from around a corner. As soon as it saw us watching it, it quickly pulled its head back around.

    "Up there!" I yelled as I ran the where I had seen the orange thing. I turned the corner and saw two doors. I had no idea which door to go through, so I decided to leave it up to my Trainer. The left-hand door seemed to head downwards, probably into the decrepit basement, whereas the other seemed to head upwards onto the roof platforms.

    "Wait a sec..." Chainy said, cutting my internal conversation with Porygon-Z momentarily off.

    I saw he had some grey mobile device in his hand and was waving it slowly before him, trying to detect something. I watched as a somewhat-puzzled look came over Chainy's face as though something was troubling him. He spun around slowly, keeping one eye on the tracker in his hand, he looked around vacantly. I followed his gaze and I too saw the disturbance that affected my Porygon-Z, Cyber Duck. Just a little ahead was a dirty grey door that was slightly ajar. The door itself looked as though it was from the stone age or some long-forgotten era in time. It was coated in a thick layer of dust and grime, and what's more, it was riddled with spider webs. This was odd as only Spinarak and Ariados could make grande webs like this. It was very rare for Bug types to be in the plant so I was confused as it was.

    But, there was something else there that was worth paying attention to, an orange creature. As soon as I gazed in its direction it scurried away leaving a vague orange imprint in my mind. There was somethjng oddly familiar with this creature and I felt compelled to get it, as did my ranger, Chainy. We both ran forward and pushed our way through the dirty grey doors. On the other side of these pair of doors a narrow alleyway that branched off into two corridors; one to the right and one to the left. I had been here before, but it only dawned on me there. The left door lead off into the upper part of the building and then onto the rooftops outside. This would mean that it could be cornered easily, if it went this way. To the right was a door that headed down into the basement-- a horribly dark and dank place that various Poison types liked to dwell. I had been there once before and vowed to never go there again.

    That was the thing with the Abandoned Power Plant. All of those countless, winding and twisting corridors. I may never have even been to this part and I could be completely and utterly wrong about those places. It is a bit embarassing for a ranger and a trainer who frequently visits the National Park to admit to being lost, especially in the Power Plant; a place I do go to quite a lot.

    "Let's take the stairs that leads upwards."

    And you said I was an attention-seeker, all-knowing master.

    Okay, so I was wrong this once. You could have told me that was a real little seizure thing you just did.

    Why would I waste my time. We both know that you wouldn't believe me anyway.

    Hmm, you are probably right, Cyber Duck.

    And, I was right about the evil creature, wasn't I? It was deliberately messing with me and you know it!

    Well, all-knowledgable virus, what way should we go according to your psychic powers.

    Upstairs, like you said earlier.

    With that, I pushed the door open and us two humans walked inside.

    "Let's take the stairs that leads upwards," James said.

    I was incredibly happy he had made that choice - I didn't like visiting the basement at the best of times. The records said this place was only a power plant that was supposed to provide electricity to the island, but occasionally Leo and I had found evidence that more sinister things used to go on here.

    We went to the side and entered the door that was leading upwards. A short corridor led us to a rectangular concrete shaft. Rough concrete steps coiled up around the walls, leading upwards - I wasn't particularly enthralled with the fact that there were no safety rails.

    Nevertheless, we started ascending the stairs. I had a funny feeling that something was watching us, but I couldn't see anything. Suddenly, I heard a banging and a crashing. I threw out my arm to stop James.

    It was lucky I did. A smashed-up vending machine crashed down onto the stairs right in front of us. I swore underneath my breath - our path was now impeded. James would have to find a way to continue upwards. I could think of a few different ways, but I wanted to see if he could figure one out himself.

    As James was staring speculatively at our latest obstacle, my phone started buzzing. I waved to James to let him know I was going to take it, then stepped backwards a bit. It was a text from Buzz.

    LOL, what the fudge have you been smoking? Seriously, you need to learn to come up with better comebacks. Oh, by the way, I hope you weren't trying to keep your chiroptophobia secret from Madison. I may or may not have let that slip. :p
    Buzz

    I grinned. Buzz was awesome, if not a little bit of an asshole. I immediately sent a return text:

    Duuuuude, don't tell me that rolled off your tongue. You totally used a dictionary. And what, are you dating one of the record-keepers? The amount of ass you get is relative to the number of syllables you use or something? Although, I have to admit, if you're going after Ali, then respect, dude. She's a bit of a freak though :D

    James

    Once that was done, I slipped the phone into my back pocket and waited to see if James would come up with anything.

    We pushed through the door and after a quick tour through a small narrow corridor we came to a concrete spiral staircase that twisted sharply upwards. I couldn't help but notice the complete lack of safety rails and sighed. A fall down these stairs could be very painful indeed. As we slowly made our way upwards-- my ranger Chainy just a little ahead of me; it was too narrow to walk up as a pair, but we had to go in a single line. Suddenly, something hit into my stomach, knocking me to the side of the winding staircase. It was such close timing as a large vending machine came hurtling down from above, stopping just before us and blocking the way.

    "Wow, that was close," I piped up, trying to act like that didn't phaze me too much. I turned to see Chainy minding his own business, texting someone from his phone. It seemed as though he didn't even notice the crashing vending machine. By the way he was smiling and giggling I guessed that he was texting his girlfriend ot something. I guess it was best to leave him in a world of his own as I tried to figure out a way past the vending machine. After a moment, I whipped out a Pokeball and tossed it into the air.

    "Bronzong, come on out!" I chimed. The large metallic bell soon took shape by my side and I began to instruct the Steel/Psychic bell. "Use your Psychic powers to move that vending machine out of the way. And, if you see something orange ahead, use your Block attack to stop it from escaping. It won't get away again. I promise it will pay for its callousness," I vowed.

    "Zong," my Bronzong boomed. Its metallic-grey body began to gain a faint purple hue as it chanelled its Psychic energy. The machine blocking our path turned a sickly purple colour and slowly rose into the air. With a slight flick of its head, the Bronzong fired the vending machine over the stairs and it clattered to the ground, scattering dust into the air and around us for a few seconds.

    ~~~~~
    "Bronzong, come on out! Use your Psychic powers to move that vending machine out of the way," James called as he threw a Poke Ball into the air. His Bronzor emerged, and it called a greeting in its booming voice. It glowed purple, and the vending machinee gently rose a couple of centimetres into the air. It boomed again, and the vending machine suddenly flew into the shaft, spinning down to the bottom. I heard a crash, and a dust-cloud puffed up after us.
    "If you see something orange ahead, use your Block attack to stop it from escaping. It won't get away again. I promise it will pay for its callousness," James said to his Pokemon.
    It boomed agreement and we moved on up the stairwell. A minute later we had reached the top. I opened the metal door by pushing on the bar that served as a knob of sorts. The door swung open with a screech, revealing a strange sight. An abandoned rooftop eating place of some sort was here. There were scattered tables and chairs, and some plants in pots. Surprisingly, the plants were still alive.
    I looked around, and saw a small cafe to the left. The neon sign had started to fall off of its wall-holsters. I wondered off-hand if any edible snacks remained there, but pushed the thought aside. I also noticed right in front of us a small series of rungs, leading down to the ground. Our prey could have gone either way - it'd be able to hide better in the cafe, but by going down the outside of the Plant it'd have a better chance at escaping. Again, I decided to leave the choice to my Trainer.
    OOC: You are on to me. It's not doing posts while mobile at all :p
    IC: We came to the top of the stairs and a fire exit was blocking the way. Chainy pushed down on the emergency exit bar until it stiffly pushed the door open. We entered a dark enough room-- presumably some sort of eating area for the people that worked here so long ago. Wooden chairs and desks were placed neatly around the large area and a flourescent sign above flickered as though it was barely hanging on to its life. There was a locked door that must have went into the kitchen where the food was prepared and then I saw the way the fleeing menace must have went. There was a hidden rungs of an ancient ladder that discretely disappeared below the ground.
    "I think we may have this mischievous creature cornered," I titered. "Bronzong, go ahead and flash your light down there to help illuminate the darkness below and so we can see where we are going and what we are doing."
    Bronzong glowered down the hole in the floor and I watched in interest as its body changed a lighter slime green colour. Suddenly, three dark green balls of energy came to life around Bronzong. They hovered by my bell Pokemon's side before slowly moving down the hole, allowing us to see in the darkness. Bronzong gave me a quick nod before it shuffled forwards and began to float downwards into an unknown area. I follwed after Bronzong, and Chainy was right behind me. This place was so easy to get lost in.
    I wouldn't want to go down there if I were you, Jay...
    Why, is there something down there?
    Obviously, it's the source of untold evil I have been warning you about. Heed my warning...
    Untold evil? Yeah, riiight. It's probably just some random hyper-active Pokemon that's just gotten lonely liven by itselfand is dying for some long-sought attention, Cyber Duck.
    Remember, I have warned you. Remember the last time you didn't heed my advice,don't you?
    Nope.
    Oh, but I think you remember perfectly. Here's a hint to help jog your memory: Rusturf Tunnel...
    I did infact remember that certain incident from Rusturf Tunnel, just above Rustboro in Hoenn. It happened no more than a year ago, or perhaps it was about eighteen months ago. That day was a brilliantly sunny day and the sky was completely cloudless and a very tranquil shade of baby blue. So, I decided, with my Porygon-Z of course, to head off to the beach and make the most out of that day as most days were horrible and windy with buckets of rain pouring down on you when you lived in Hoenn. Living in Fortree town, a small dwelling place where the inhabitants lived in the treetops in the center of Hoenn. Most of the inhabitants were very Eco-and-environment friendly and loved everything to do with nature and plants and other crap.
    Anyway, that day we decided to head off to Slateport City, a busy seafaring town that was known all around the world for its amazing sandy beaches and really high waves. It also tended to be extremely packed from people coming from all over the Hoenn region. So, we managed to just about catch the last bus that was heading south. We had to run for that bus, and we sure were glad that we had made at the time, although thinking back now it would have been better had we missed it. So, relaxing on the comfortable bus seats, I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep. It was only supposed to be a light snooze but I really overdid it this time.
    I eventually woke up, maybe around three or four hours later to shouts and screams outside. All of the people that were travelling on the bus were looking out the window by this stage; all looking at angry mobs shouting out chants and slogans, and holding up signs for us to read. They were all rather inappropriate, I must say. But, it soon became apparent what was happening. We must have been in Rustboro town, a huge retail town well-known for it's shopping and food industries, it wasn't too far past Slateport and I figured we could just walk there. Wouldn't take us all that long, or so I thought. The bus conductor eventually decided to end the journey and he forced everyone off of the bus as the crowds of jeering people refused to get off the roads. They were campaigning against animals being used for fur clothes just outside one of the largest fashion districts in the whole world. Of course, it happened to block our path, I grumbled.
    So, I began the walk-that-should've-taken-thirty-to-forty-minutes-but-really-didn't. Soon, the heat was starting to get to me and I realised Porygon-Z must have really been stuffy inside the Pokeball, so I called him out of the ball for some fresh air and also to keep me company. Soon, we came to Rusturf Tunnel, am easy shortcut to Vardenturf and then to Mauville, which was only a short walk away from Slateport and the fine beach. The day was slowly trickling by, but it wasn't much after three in the afternoon, so I figured we could still get quite a bit out of the day if we didn't dwindle. Rusturf Cave loomed ahead and the wide entrance seemed like a black hole just ready to suck us in. It was dark inside, but there were floodlights still set up around there from when all the excavation work wad underway. Suddenly, a few steps into the cave, Porygon-Z turned to me and started to protect. He warned me to leave the cave and just go home, but I wasn't having any of it. Porygon-Z can be so melodramatic at times...
    Well, ignoring my wise Cyber Duck's pleas, I continued inwards. We were walking for no more than ten minutes when I suddenly realised something. I remember looking at Porygon-Z in surprise and saying "where are all the wild Pokemon? This cave is notorious for it's hordes of Whismur." My hand. Jumped to my mouth in shock as I realised what I had done; I had broken the silence. Silence was what they strictly enforced here. The Whismur were so friendly for most of the time but they could get crazy when sound disturbs them. Squeaky voices began to pipe up from all around. Every second, more and more and more of them joined in in the horrible squeaking sounds. I pressed my hands hard against my ears as did Porygon-Z. We stumbled around, completely disorientated by their horrible noises of complaint, desperately trying to find the exit. Eventually, and I do mean eventually, we reached the other side, panting and sweating. But, what was even worse, was that night had fallen all around the serene town of Verdenturf. We had missed a perfect day at the beach for not following Porygon-Z's intuition.
    Realising that there really was a possibility that we were wrong again and to trust Porygon-Z, I began trying to talk to him again.
    Are you absolutely certain we shouldn't go this way?
    What? I never said you couldn't go this way. Master Jay should learn to use his ears. I said dooo go this way, stupid little human.
    No you didn't.
    Please, Jay. Let's not resort to childish games anymore.
    We walked into the cafe. There were counters around the edge of the walls, and a couple dusty tables. On top of the counters were broken cooking appliances. I was only slightly surprised to see a huge hole in the floor.
    "I think we may have this mischievous creature cornered. Bronzong, go ahead and flash your light down there to help illuminate the darkness below and so we can see where we are going and what we are doing," James said in a high-pitched voice.
    The Bronzong made a droning sound and hovered over the hole, and three green spheres began hovering around it. It began to lower itself into the hole, and James began to move down into the hole as well. I was about to follow when I noticed that one of the microwave ovens was not broken. Also, it was glowing an almost unnoticeable orange.
    I quickly grasped James by the shoulder and discreetly motioned at the gently glowing microwave. Perhaps he could get the drop on it. I didn't ask if he wanted to catch it - the answer was obvious.
    I was just bracing myself to move down into the near pitch-black darkness, the three green globes helping me to see the lower rungs. Bronzong was lucky as it could just levitate down, but it was a tight fit. I was at the third or fourth rung from the bottom when something grabbed my shoulder. I jumped at the touch and turned around to see my Ranger, Chainy, motioning me to be quiet and to come back out. I tapped Bronzong's head and motioned likewise. Slowly, and as stealthily as I could manage, I got out of the hole in the ground to see what Chainy was pointing at. In the corner of the kitchen was a microwave-- but not just any normal microwave. It had a slight red glow to it and I suddenly realised what it was. It was the thing I had been searching for for so long; it was the long-sought Rotom. I knew Rotom tended to hide in appliances so I wasn't too surprised. Leaning down to Bronzong, I whispered.
    "Use your Block attack to trap the Rotom in the microwave and also prevent it from moving," I said as quietly as I could manage.
    Bronzong shot forward and I saw straight red lines, far more than I could count shoot out in a real linear fashion. Soon the room was divided into red grids, so many different segments and whatever segment everyone was in at that moment was stuck for now. To test it's sturdiness I tried to walk forward, but directly over the red line was an invisible forcefield of sorts, completely restricting my movements. I wasn't sure if this attack would be as powerful against the Rotom as it was at the other side of the room but I knew it was really strong over here as we were closer to the source.
    "Sorry, Chainy," I said. "I wouldn't want this Rotom to escape so I had to take these precautions."
    Looking around at the field which now resembled some sort of game board I realised what I could do. It would be tricky but it was necessary to attack and whittle this Rotom's health down. Despite being highly mischievous, I still really wanted to try and catch this. It was clearly going to be a long battle so I figured it would be best to call Bronzong back. I pulled out his navy star-struck Pokeball and pressed down hard on it. A familiar beam of scarlet light shot out and envelloped my Bronzong. "You did great buddy. You can take a rest for the next few minutes as I think of what to do."
    Pick me... You know I'm your strongest Pokemon and you know I can handle this Rotom.
    Can I trust you not to mess?
    Do I have to answer that?
    I grinned and pulled out Porygon-Z's pokeball. With a flash similar to Bronzong's, except it was slightly a darker shade of red. Porygon-Z, in all its virusness glory appeared before me. Its body, just like the field was segmented, except it was pink an blue with crazed yellow and blak spiralled eyes.
    "Porygon-Z, I know you're rather rash but I need you to try an paralyse this Rotom. It is likely to try and flee so we need to lower it's speed as much as we can and Thunder Wave quarters the opponents speed aswell as incapitates them on an odd occasion. Can you do it?"
    Porygon-Z gave me a callous look an began to prepare it's attack. It spread it's two arm-like limbs before it and then tried to channel it's electrical energy into those two limbs. Blue sparks began to form and I watched in fascination as the attack came to a point where it was ready.
    "Fire!"
    The blue sparks formed a small, net-like field of electricity that headed straight for the presumably-trapped Rotom. They jumped around in the air, gradually changing their shapes to suit the shape of Rotom. Hopefully this Thunder Wave would hit and then we could take advantage of Porygon-Z's huge Special Attack stat.
    "Porygon-Z, use your Icy Wind attack to slow down the Rotom!" I commanded Cyber Duck. My reasoning was that if I could keep Porygon-Z faster than the opponent, then we would be able to hit faster and Porygon-Z sure could pack a pinch when it wanted to. Gah, that really was one of the down sides to my Porygon-Z; it had so much pent up energy that it could easily destroy opponents without much hesitation, but that had its down sides too. Sometimes he was just too powerful. I remember when I was first training my Porygon-Z
    "Alright, Cyber Duck. That Caterpie over there doesn't look too strong so just try one regular Thunderbolt attack, but don't hurt the caterpillar too much. After all, it didn't do anything to piss you off or anything," I remember shouting. Boy, how wrong I actually was back then.
    Porygon-Z charged forward, eyes glowing a dark red colour-- similar to the colour of blood as a matter of fact. This happened when Porygon-Z got made, he tended to take on a possessed demonic look. He spread his two arm-like structures out wide and his head structure pricked up. Electricity coursed through the duck-like virus and he chanelled all of the energy into his three masts. I could hear electricity cackling as it passed through his system. On each of the three limbs I could see a blue sphere of electricity begin to form and they slowly grew much longer, before I tried to stop it.
    "Okay, Cyber Duck! That's enough power for now. Actually, hit that tree over there, not the bug," I tottered realising that Porygon-Z might just be a tad too powerful for the little Caterpie.
    "Zeeee!" he roared as he fired the three blue balls of electrical energy. They dispersed before drawing closer and joining as one huge ball of cackling sparks. It was still heading for the petrified bug who seemed rooted to the spot. I shouted in protest but the powerful Thunderbolt attak swerved out of the way just in the nick of time at Cyber Duck's command. It crashed into the huge oak tree and there was a mighty cracking sound. I rushed forward and picked up the Caterpie, literally throwing it out of the way as the mighty tree started to fall. I watched in horror as the gnarled roots poked up out of the ground and I must have been really gawking by the time I saw the charred interior of the tree trunk.
    "You really are powerful, aren't you?" I gasped, almost speechless. I gave Porygon-Z a pat on the head to show my approval. "I have a funny feeling you'll be a great assett to my team."
    I snapped out of my thoughts of the past to focus on this battle. Just like every other time Porygon-Z prepared a powerful attack, his three focal points arched up. Energy would be passing through his body at this time, clearly indicated by his closed eyes amd concentrated expression. A cyan shape began to form on the three limbs of Porygon-Z, slowly expanding. They stopped growing when they had each came to the size of a little smaller than his head. Then, with a flick of his head, he shot the three cyan balls of ice forward. They shot towards Rotom at a blinding speed, but I knew the Icy Wind attack wasn't quite done yet.
    "Now, you know what to do!" I shouted as Porygon-Z's eyelids shot open. His mouth opened up wide, something that I rarely even saw an he fired out a beam of blinding light. It may have looked like this attack was aimed at Rotom, but as a matter of fact it wasn't. The glaring beam parted into three and each ray of light smashed into the three ice balls bang-on in the center. The ice balls exploded with the force sending a plethora of fist-sized ice pellets straight for the Rotom. It wasn't moving but it looked awed by the sight of this brilliant attack. To be honest, I couldn't blame him. If my Porygon-Z would ever actually eat berries, I would gladly enter him in contests all around the world. His performances were stunning to say the least.
    "Excellent job, Cyber Duck! Now, Rotom is a dual Electric/Ghost type meaning it only has three weaknesses: Ground, Dark and Ghost. Its ability Levitate nulifies the Ground type weakness and you don't know any Dark type moves, as far as I know. But, don't worry. You still have Shadow Ball; a powerful Ghost type move," I said with a grin. "Just try your best not to knock out the opposing Rotom. Got it?
    Cyber Duck nodded to show his affirmation.
    "Good, begin the attack!" I shouted with relish. Just like Porygon-Z, I too could get quite carried away with the battle. I guess we're both just really competitive, I thought to myself. I really hope this wouldn't hurt the Rotom too badly, I did want to capture this and become acquantainces, if not friends with it in the long run. Anyway, I was quite confident that the Rotom wouldn't be too badly hurt. The two that I rented in my Gym were quite bulky and they could shrug off Porygon-Z's attacks for most of the time. But, they don't have any really reliable healing option so I had to be careful using them. Besides, the ones from my Gym were quite sullen an moody, and they never wanted to talk to me or my Pokemon, for the most part. This Rotom seems quite joyful and mischievous so I could get on with this one better, if I ever manage to capture it.
    I turned to Cyber Duck to see it begin it's Shadow Ball attack. His head pokey thing had fallen down again and his other 'arms' were moving back and forth, drawing power from the room around. I had seen this done many times before, but like most moves, most Pokemon perform them differently and in their own unique ways. Just like on all of those other accounts, the room around us wa getting brighter and I could just about see the cobwebs and dusty tabletops much better. That is what Porygon-Z's Shadow Ball tended to do; draw all the shadows and darkness from the room and quite literally make a sphere of darkness from them.
    In a few seconds the two swirling balls of darkness had formed, one on either arm. The contents swirled around in quite a sinister manner and it gave me the shudders. Surging forward in one smooth leap, followed by a quick spin, Porygon-Z fired the two balls of shadows at the curious Rotom. Porygon-Z landed on the ground on it's stem and took a little bow. He was so modest, I thought sarcastically. I watched as the twin balls of swirling black, navy and grey aimed straight for the Rotom, spun closer. If Rotom wanted to dodge these, he'd have to act really fast.
    OOC: By the way, unless I'm told otherwise, this Rotom will remain Electric/Ghost for the entire encounter, not switch types.
    ~~~~~

    "Porygon-Z, I know you're rather rash but I need you to try and paralyse this Rotom. It is likely to try and flee so we need to lower it's speed as much as we can and Thunder Wave quarters the opponents speed as well as incapitates them on an odd occasion. Can you do it?" James asked.

    The Porygon-Z whirred as it prepared to battle. It's eyes lit up as it scanned the opponent for weak spots. Blue electric sparks began crawling over its body as the microwave oven floated up into the air. It became completely orange and a small face appeared on top of the screen. It grinned at us and stuck its tongue out at Cyber Duck, taunting it.

    Cyber Duck didn't enjoy it. It knew its trainer had asked for a Thunder Wave, but the little bastard of a Rotom was asking for an asswhooping. It gathered the electricity and sent it all flying at the Rotom, aiming for damage instead of paralysis. The waves smashed into the oven, pushing it against the wall.

    "Porygon-Z, use your Icy Wind attack to slow down the Rotom!" James yelled.

    The Porygon-Z sent three white orbs swirling towards the oven, and then detonated them, causing white dust to fan outwards. The powder stuck to the walls nearby and the Rotom itself. It seemed to impede the movements of the Rotom's plasma somehow.

    "Excellent job, Cyber Duck! Now, Rotom is a dual Electric/Ghost type meaning it only has three weaknesses: Ground, Dark and Ghost. Its ability Levitate nulifies the Ground type weakness and you don't know any Dark type moves, as far as I know. But, don't worry. You still have Shadow Ball; a powerful Ghost type move. Just try your best not to knock out the opposing Rotom. Got it?" James commanded.

    Cyber Duck nodded and a large black-coloured sphere began growing in front of him. As the Porygon-Z charged the Shadow Ball, the Rotom held its two "arms" up and a huge charge of electricity began bouncing between them. Cyber Duck lauched the Shadow Ball and it crashed right into the Rotom, but the Rotom returned fire with a huge Thunder attack. The giant energy bolt blasted towards the Porygon-Z.

    OOC: Don't forget those 10,000 chars from last post

    Fter the onslaught of attacks, I noticed how good Rotom was looking. The toaster was a tad battered-looking, but really, the Rotom looked like it could take quite a few more hits. Not only that, but it was quite cocky aswell. A big pink Tongue poked out of its mouth, taunting and jeering my Cyber Duck. Porygon-Z took the bait and as such, he sacrificed power in desperation to attack. The taunts from Rotom also rendered the Thunder Wave attack rather useless. I guess we would need to make our attacks stronger from here on out. That Rotom was going to pay for its insolence. But, just as Porygon-Z fired the Shadow Ball, Rotom was hardly fazed by it and retalliated with a powerful Thunder attack. The ground trembled a little as the microwave fired off a huge beam of brilliant White light, just fizzling with electricity.

    "Alright, Porygon-Z. We're gonna need to perform combos an make our moves even more powerful in order to beat this Rotom!" I commanded. "Have you got any suggestions on what we could use?" I asked rather loudly. It was better for Porygon-Z to decide on what to use as he was really in tune with battles and he could then decide on what he wanted to do. Porygon-Z nodded his head and gave me a sidewards glance.

    Let's start with another Shadow Ball, but fuse in a Discharge to add some extra impact to the move

    Yeah, I agree, Porygon-Z. I like how you said it telepathically and not out loud. Trying to keep the opponent guessing I see.

    Yeah, that an the fact that I do not wish to speak in the human tongue aloud.

    whatever, you crazy duck.

    Porygon-Z's eyelids shut in preparation and his whole body began to shake slowly as he prepared this combination attack. Slowly, yet gracefully, he rose into the air. Both arms extended backwards as he sent out some attraction energy into the room around, which had returned to it's dark state. The fprwpart of his arms closed inwards a he began to suck up the energy from the room. Looking carefully, I could just about see wispy strands of grey floating through the aor towards him. The clumps of darkness began to form before Porygon-Z and they twisted and turned over one another very slowly, he was trying to shape it to his whim; in the shape of a large sphere. The dark ball was slowly becoming visible and it required less strain on my eyes to see it. But, I knew this attack was lighter than before for a reason; he wanted to use the element of surprise to his whim.

    Now, it was for the Discharge part, a very crafty trick that would hopefully work as we planned. Electrical currents began to shoot through Porygon-Z's light pink and baby blue body, the results clearly showing in his shining eyes. Electrical energy was formed from some of the power and pent up energy that he stored. The electricity started as a simple spark from each of the farthernmost part of his limbs, then they would gather in strength and frequency as it travelled through his body. Eventually when they reached the end of the cycle, they would come to his arms. He would send the energy-- a plethora of cackling sparks into the glowing grey ball before him. It would light up and look somewhat like a thundercloud as it shot forward. The electricity inside was kept as quiet as possible as if it caught Rotom by surprise-- if he was just expecting Shadow Ball. Then, he won't anticipate the high paralysis rate associated with Discharge and... he might just get the paralysed status.

    It was a long shot, but hell, I was willing to try it.

    OOC: Sorry for bad post, running late.

    ~~~~~
    The huge Thunder attack smashed into Cyber Duck, knocking it backwards a bit, but not much. The Porygon-Z was beginning to show signs of wear from all of its battles in the Park - it'd need a rest soon or it might faint.
    "Alright, Porygon-Z. We're gonna need to perform combos an make our moves even more powerful in order to beat this Rotom! Have you got any suggestions on what we could use?" James asked his Pokemon.
    Cyber Duck angled his head towards his Trainer - I could recognise the signs of a telepathic conversation anywhere. After a could of seconds, James nodded approvingly, and the Porygon-Z started changing its attack.
    A gray blob of energy started growing in front of Cyber Duck, getting bigger and bigger. Once it was half the Porygon-Z's size, Cyber Duck started emitting blue sparks. The electricity crawled all over its body, and jumping across the small gap of air to sink into the mysterious depths of the Shadow Ball.
    The Rotom saw the attack charging, and it didn't like it. It rushed forward and used its two plasma "arms" to launch and overhead smash at the Cyber Duck. Cyber Duck's head was forced downwards painfully, but its attack was ready, and the Rotom was close enough that this would have perfect accuracy. The gray sphere blurred into Rotom, knocking it backwards into the wall with a heavy thud.
    OOC: You didn't edit in CC for last post. Sorry for crap post but I figured a crap one was better than none :p
    Porygon-Z was hit by an extremely powerful Thunder attack and boy did he look rather pissed off. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not, but as Porygon-z was rather rash it seemed to get angrier and angrier as his health continued to deplete. I figured it was better for him if I called him back and gave Bronzong another shot in battle.
    "Alright, Porygon-Z, come back!" I shuted as I hurled his pokeball into the air. He was absorbed into the red capsule and it shot back into my hand. "Bronzing, old bddy, old pal, come on out!"
    I tossed Bronzong's pokeball into the air and I saw a large steel bell materialised before me. "Use Extrasensory on the Rotom and then try a Gyro Ball!"
    James noticed the fair amount of damage that the Thunder attack had caused to his Porygon-Z. He pulled out his Pokemon and returned Cyber Duck as he called, "Alright, Porygon-Z, come back!"
    "Bronzing, old buddy, old pal, come on out!" he continued as he threw a second Poke Ball into the air. "Use Extrasensory on the Rotom and then try a Gyro Ball!"
    His Bronzong reemerged, and floated over opposite the Rotom, who phased out of the small crater it had been knocked into. Bronzong became coated with a purple aura, and the Rotom shuddered as bad things went on in its head. It tried to focus on its opponent, but couldn't manage to do so.
    As the Rotom was still fighting the effects of the Extrasensory, Bronzor began rolling in midair towards the Rotom, striking it hard. The Rotom cried out in pain, but at least the shock had knocked some sense back into it. Before the Bronzong could disengage, the door on the front of Rotom's body clanged open, and a huge burst of fire issued out, flaring across the Bronzong and knocking it to the floor. The Bronzong hit the floor and slid, trying to recover from the Overheat attack.
    The Rotom wasn't one to ignore an opportunity - it sent a thin beam of electricity blasting towards the Bronzong as it slid away. The electric lance crackled as it flew over the concrete floor, chasing its Steel-typed target.
