    OOC: 15-.5=14.5 for the last doll. Then 14.5-.5=14 if I need one for this post

    Cradily wasn’t going to leave us alone quietly. Luckily my ranger had another Poke Doll for me to purchase with my wad of cash.

    He took out a doll, after taking my money, and tossed it towards the fossil Pokémon. Cradily caught the doll in its mouth; it continued to stare at us though. I stared back, hopefully scaring it away. It decided to crawl away after a minute or so, likely from the doll not me.

    Chainy stood up and signaled to follow him once again. I followed hesitantly, I wasn’t too sure if he knew this part of the gardens as we seemed to be more than lost.

    However, this time he did find us a path to take.

    Out of no where, though, a Pokemon stumbled into our way. It was yet another bunny Pokemon, creamy and brown. Chainy looked rather confused by the Pokemon being in this area. He nodded it off and once again asked me if I wanted to try and capture the bunny.

    “No. More money though!”

    Ranger Chainy

    ~~~~~
    "No, more money though!" Junior said happily.
    "That's probably not necessary, let's just try walking around it," I said as I walked towards the Buneary. It simply watched me without moving. I shrugged, and lead Junior around the rabbit Pokemon, which didn't move an inch. I wasn't entirely sure where Junior was getting all this cash from - more than likely he was drawing on reserves from winning prestigious tournaments in places I'd never heard of.
    Suddenly, I heard the sound of something large crashing through the forest. I turned around to see a large pink Pokemon step out from the foliage onto the path, and run over to the Buneary. It cooed happily and picked the rabbit up, cuddling it against its large pink body. I blinked in surprise - it wasn't common to run into two different Blissey in one expedition. They were incredibly rare - at last estimate, there were only ten running around in the entirety of the Botanical Gardens.
    The Blissey saw us and frowned before hiding the limp rabbit behind its back. Apparently, it wasn't too happy with us being here. Seeing as Junior didn't have the equipment to attempt a capture, we could probably just move on, but it was Ranger policy to always ask if the Trainer wanted to battle.
    "I don't suppose you want to battle this Blissey?" I asked, being the good little Ranger that I was.
    "That's probably not necessary, let's just try walking around it," he said, walking towards Buneary. The small bunny Pokemon didn't move at all as Chainy entered its personal bubble. The two of us shuffled around the Pokemon, it still stayed still. I had the cash in case I needed it; I was loaded. Most of my money came from winning prestigious tournaments in places no one has ever heard of.
    Something was moving back behind the trees, it sounded quite large. Out from the deep brush came yet another pink blob of a Pokemon. We had found another Blissey, I was astonished. Ranger Chainy looked that way too. Blissey were rare Pokemon throughout the world and I had encountered two of them in one day.
    However, there would be no use in battling the Normal-type as I lacked a Hyper Ball to capture it in. I held out yet another wad of cash in response to Chainy's question. The next encounter would be my last and I had hoped it would be something that caught my eye and gave me a third capture on my first run through the National Park.
    $14,500 - $500 = $14,000
    Just like I expected, Junior held out a wad of cash. I took it and tossed another Poke Doll at the Blissey - this one was Jigglypuff-shaped. The Blissey caught it with the hand that wasn't holding the Buneary and cooed happily. It nodded to us and turned around, holding the Poke Doll and placing the Buneary on top of it before walking away along the path. I shrugged and led Junior in the opposite direction.
    We turned a corner in the path and I grinned - a big stone arch was just a bit ahead of us, informing us silently that we'd found the exit to the tropical garden plot. My pace increased slightly, as I knew what we'd find on the other side of the gate - the flowerbeds. A huge wide open area with many different squares of all the kinds of rarest flowers in the world.
    It was just as I remembered. There were some trees and hedges to break up the monotony, and yet they didn't interfere with the beauty of the place as much as enhance it. I really liked the flowerbeds - it was a wonderful quiet place to sit and relax. Unfortunately, not many Trainers chose to come here, and I did not understand why. Many rare and powerful Pokemon lingered here, drawn by the beauty and the serenity.
    As if to punctuate my point, a Pokemon rose up into the air from the nearest flowerbed and floated over to say hello. It was brown with green ears, and had a huge mop of white hair behind it that moved slowly in the breeze. Its yellow eyes were soft and welcoming, and its voice was rough but inviting as it squeaked a greeting. I was glad that my expedition with Junior would end on a high note.
    "Well, Junior, interested in trying to catch a Whimsicott?" I asked.
    Ranger James snatched the money out of my hands, as if he was in a rush. I would not have blamed him if he were in a rush; the humid climate of the tropical area had been getting a little unbearable. He produced another Poke doll out of his bag and tossed it at the motherly Pokémon, who still stood in a defensive position with Buneary in her hand. She caught the pink round Jigglypuff doll with her free hand and seemed to be pleased, as if the doll was her prize for protecting Buneary from us scary trainers.
    We turned around in the opposite direction from Blissey and Buneary to find our way out of the tropical area of the Botanical Gardens. The two of us approached yet another big stone arch signifying the end of the tropics for now. James sped his pace up; I had been right, he was ready to get out of the rather uncomfortable weather. On the opposite side of the large shiny stone structure was a beautiful array of flowers.
    Finally - the flower beds.
    James and I took a few seconds to take in the change in scenery. Flowers of all kind had taken over the ground, there was little to no grass. Purples and pinks and yellows and reds covered the ground, making a floral rainbow. A few trees and bushes created areas of shade to sit and admire the natural beauty of the place.
    Before I could fully take in the wonderful and relaxing scenery a Pokémon rose up from the flowerbed. It was brown with long curled up green ears, along with a small white mane that seemed to be made out of cotton. Atop its head was a giant bush of white hair, which also appeared to be cotton. She squeaked at us, trying to initiate communication, as she floated through the air. My eyes flung wide open in amazement at such a rare Pokémon appearing from out of no where and even interacting with two humans.
    Chainy looked at me with a face that made me think he had known that such a rare and interesting Pokémon would appear. "Well, Junior, interested in trying to catch a Whimsicott?" he asked me.
    Already owning a Whimsicott, I knew how powerful and useful they were. I wasn’t about to leave this one blow into the wind, it was something that I had to capture regardless of what I was going to do with it after.
    I shook my head, “Yeah, let’s do this.” It was time to get serious.
    Not only were Whimsicott able to take massive amounts of damage, they had a tricky ability that made them versatile - Prankster. It allowed Whimsicott to use any non-attacking move in a ridiculously quick and easy fashion. They were cute little fluff balls but looks can be, and in this case are, deceiving.
    It was time to pick a Pokémon. Metagross had been hurt badly fighting against Breloom and Spiritomb had just finished battling recently, without a rest a Pokémon isn’t going to be able to do much against a Pokémon such as Whimsicott. I only had one more choice, Electrode. He may also be the best choice as Electrode has speed on its side, a possible counter to Whimsicott’s Prankster ability.
    I snatched a small red and white orb from my waist, where all my own Pokémon sat in their Poke balls, and clicked the small button on the ball to enlarge it. I tossed the ball up into the air and it popped open, releasing Electrode onto the edges of the flowerbed. Electrode was a reverse Poke ball in appearance: white on the top and red on the bottom. He also always seemed to have a grin on his face, I never knew why.
    Whimsicott had been floating in the air, possibly accessing the situation. Maybe she had not wanted to fight, but I had almost no choice. Whimsicott are just too damn useful to let go.
    I initiated the battle by commanding a move to Electrode, “Taunt her! That should slow Whimsicott down a bit.”
    Electrode scrunched up his eyes and month, a face that looked like he had just eaten something sour, and let his body begin to be surrounded in electricity. Sparks bounced around his spherical body. Electrode let out a small cry and the small jolts of electricity flew towards the cotton haired Pokémon.
    If they made contact the hopeful effect would be that Whimsicott would get annoyed enough to make an attack and damage Electrode rather than use a move that didn’t do damage, as those were the Pokémon’s specialty.
    “Yeah, let’s do this," Junior said as he began to concentrate on the upcoming battle. He thought for a few seconds and then detached a PokeBall from his belt. It expanded to its regular size, and Junior threw it up into the air. The usual white flash blinded me, and when I opened my eyes I saw that the PokeBall had grown even larger and was now lying on the ground right next to the flowerbed. I rubbed my eyes to clear them, but the huge PokeBall was still there. I was just about to ask Junior what gives when I saw the big grin on its face, and I realised that I'd been tricked. It was an Electrode.
    Electrode weren't common in battles, mostly because they weren't incredibly strong. One thing they were great for, though, was their blistering speed, and I could see the reasoning behind Junior's choice. Electrode's insane speed would help counterbalance the speed of the Whimsicott.
    “Taunt her! That should slow Whimsicott down a bit," Junior ordered.
    Electrode rolled back and forwards a little bit, simulating a nod. It then made a sour face at the Whimsicott, and sparks began to cover it's spherical body. The sparks leaped around all over the place as the sour look slowly changed into an overly cocky grin. The Whimsicott narrowed her eyes and clenched her fists angrily. Her huge mop of white hair began to shake, and six small green circular leaves shot out of the mane, spinning through the air towards Electrode. The Electric Pokemon would have to move fast to avoid the attack, but there was no doubt in my mind that it could do so.
    The sparks from Electrode skipped all over the ground, Electrode looked confident that his attack had worked. I wasn’t too sure about it as the sparks never seemed to make contact with the Grass-typed Pokémon. Before I could command another attack Whimsicott made one of her own, Razor Leaf. Her eyes squinted and her hands formed into fists. I had the feeling she didn’t like that little zaps of electricity that Electrode let out.
    Leaves suddenly began spinning towards Electrode, out of no where almost. The speed which the leaves appeared made it seem liked Whimsicott had used magic to produce them. Six leaves spread out like buck shot, aiming straight for Electrode with incredible velocity. Electrode nor I were prepared for such a quick retaliation, I had only milliseconds to try and respond, but in the end it seemed like Electrode was going to get slapped around by the blade-like leaves rushing towards him.
    Even with Electrode’s ridiculous speed I knew that there was no escaping such a fast moving attack so I commanded an attack hopeful it would deflect the attack from directly hitting Electrode, but I couldn’t be sure as the crisp and sharp leaves were zooming in on him quickly. “Electrode, use Substitute quickly!”
    The leaves were halfway to us by the time I had even told Electrode what move to use, hopefully Electrode’s large amount of time spent battling would let him set up the phony and escape being hit dead on by the Razor Leaf.
    Electrode’s Substitute was different from most other Pokémon, rather than producing a fluffy surrounding he created a barrier of electricity around himself, which would absorb any damage done to him. Much like when Electrode used Taunt his body would scrunched up into the sour face, but rather than producing small sparks of electricity he would form large bolts of electricity that would connect together like a spider web around his ball of a body. This type of Substitute was more like a wall then an actually phony form of the Pokémon itself.
    I was hopeful that Electrode could pull off the Substitute before the leaves could reach their target but one can never be too sure when facing a Pokémon such as the big haired Whimsicott.
    “Electrode, use Substitute quickly!” Junior called out.
    Small electrical sparks began to crawl out of the Electrode, but instead of dissipating they moved along definite lines, forming a protective net. The net expanded outwards from the Electrode slightly, curving underneath it, forming a protective shield that covered the Electric-type from all angles. The leaves spun towards the Electrode and hit the buzzing shield, becoming fried to a crisp inside a second. The shriveled-up black leaves fell to the ground.
    I was impressed that Junior had been able to command the correct attack so swiftly. However, I also knew that the Whimsicott hadn't even started to battle, and for some reason Junior was using Electrode defensively instead of offensively. Even I knew that Electrode was meant to hit hard and fast, not stall a battle out.
    The Whimsicott frowned, and levitated down onto the ground. Its eyes began to twitch, and its arms started shaking. I wasn't entirely sure what the Grass type was doing, but I knew it was going to be big. I'd seen big attacks charged up before, and while I knew it wasn't going to be the more powerful attack I'd ever seen (Tri Attack + Thunderbolt + Ice Beam held the current record) it could certainly mean trouble for Junior and Electrode.
    The protective shield hissed and crackled as the leaves continued to hurdle towards Electrode. If I had just blinked Electrode would’ve missed his chance to cover himself from the onslaught. In hind sight Electrode getting slashed and slapped by the razor sharp leaves would not have been the biggest deal in the world but now he had a protective shield in Substitute covering from any further attacks that Whimsicott had planned. Although with the affects of Taunt beginning to wear off the Substitute might as well have been useless.
    Before any praising could go on Whimsicott began to prepare yet another attack, rather than a quick slicing attack this one looked like it might be something of epic proportions. After being Taunted and then having her attack blocked I think Whimsicott was putting all her eggs in one basket. She looked angered, enraged even. Maybe Substitute really wasn’t the greatest move to use at the time but the cotton-haired Pokemon had responded so quickly with her Razor Leaf there was little to no time to think of wonderful counter. I had done what I needed to do in the moment.
    The Grass Pokémon seemed to be collecting energy for her attack, which meant that I would have some time to pull out a big attack. If I wanted to do a nice amount of damage to Whimsicott with Electrode I would need to power him up and use one of his stronger attacks. Whimsicott had nice defensive statistics and had a resistance to Electrode’s type, electric. This gave me a problem eighty-percent of Electrode’s attacks were of electric-type. But this would be the wrong time to try and switch out Pokémon, the amount of energy Whimsicott was gathering would devastate a Pokémon just coming in fresh off a rest. At least with Electrode the Substitute could take the damage and keep Electrode from losing a great amount of health.
    After she unleashed her giant attack, which I had assumed was Solarbeam; I would have to worry about her using her non-damaging attacks, a Whimsicott’s specialty.
    “We’ve got some time to build up a powerful attack, Electrode. I want you to start off with a Rain Dance.” I wasn’t entirely sure how much time I had but I was fairly positive that Electrode could string together the three moves I had in mind quickly, as he had done with Substitute. If anything Rain Dance would give us more time to perform the combo as the sun would be hidden away by the clouds and Whimsicott would have a harder time collecting power for her Solarbeam, if she was even planning to use Solarbeam.
    -
    Electrode calling upon the sky to reduce its peaceful and sunny façade was not an easy job. He needed to somehow signal that he needed rain to begin a torrential downpour at his location. It had taken me many months to get Electrode to properly use Rain Dance; I couldn’t get a Water-type Pokémon, who can perform the move with ease, to teach Electrode as he was Electric-type and had zero similarities to any of my Water-typed Pokémon.
    For many sleepless days and nights I thought about how Electrode could possibly use Rain Dance. I could come up with nothing. I had no clue on how Electrode could make it rain. I began to think I would have to train him without the move, though it would leave him without an extremely helpful move. Rain Dance would let his Thunder attack be ridiculously more accurate. That’s when it hit me. Use his Electric attacks to tell the sky that it needed to cry onto our land.
    And that is exactly what Electrode did for many days, weeks, and months. He shot bolts of electricity into the sky. For many months I didn’t know if my genius idea was going to work, but one day as I was about to tell Electrode we were done for the day he decided to use all his remaining energy to blast the sky with an enormous tower of pure electricity. The sky lit up pure white as it crackled from the tormenting that Electrode was putting it through. As the bolt of lightning that Electrode had created dispersed, droplets of water began to fall from the sky.
    Electrode grinned as he knew he had finally successfully used Rain Dance. I didn’t know what to say, but I had unconsciously began to jump around excitedly and yell and scream in joy causing some of my other Pokémon to come out from my small home and looked at me with faces full of confusion. I had quickly collected myself and walked inside nonchalantly. All of them followed suit, Electrode being last after taking time to admire his accomplishment.
    -
    Electrode did exactly as he had done many times in the past. He shot a gigantic jolt of electricity into the sky, showing how much he needed the clouds to let out all of the water that had accumulated in and around them. The bright color that illuminated the sky from Electrode quickly disappeared, almost as soon as he had projected it from his spherical orb of a body.
    A short amount of time past before large drops of water fell from the sky, splattering hard against the ground and the lovely bed of flowers that Whimsicott still seemed to be protecting from us intruders.
    As Whimsicott had been collecting sunlight I figured Electrode’s call upon the rainy skies would slow down Whimsicott’s ability to collect and harvest the energy into her attack, so I took even more time to power up Electrode before he could execute his first damaging attack. If Whimsicott was going to spend time powering up for an extreme attack so were I and Electrode.
    “Charge up, Electrode!” Charge would power up the next electric attack that the Electric-type would use. Hopefully the conductivity of the clouds and this next power up would make the not-very effective attack do a larger amount of damage to the spaghetti head of a Pokémon that Whimsicott was.
    -
    Electrode had not always been able to use attacks that would power him up more. He had an impossibly hard time wrapping his brain around the idea that his attacks could become even more powerful than they already were. When he was just a Voltorb he would ignore my tactics of trying power him up with moves such as Charge and simply use Thunderbolt or something that he could’ve used just moments later with double the power. He was just simply too cocky.
    As many other trainers around me caught and found Eevee to train and evolve into Jolteon, for much the same use as an Electrode, I kept my faith in Voltorb that he would come around and learn to use moves that didn’t do damage. I battled and battled and battled with other trainers and Voltorb kept getting out powered, he could easily out speed and evade attacks from other Pokémon constantly and consistently, but they would stat up while he tried to use his weak attacks against them, doing hardly any damage.
    He just didn’t get it. His ego got the best of him and he wouldn’t let it go and follow my orders. I was lost; I had no idea what I could do. Voltorb had been in his first evolution for far too long, many friends that I had, had long ago evolved their Pokémon that they captured at around the same time that I had gotten my enlarged mimic of a Poke ball.
    One day as I sat on the stoop of my home a trainer came walking by. His skin had tanned from the intense sunlight and sweat dripped from every pore on his body it seemed. His pace slowed as he approached my sitting in sorrow trying to figure out the Voltorb problem. I heard his footsteps stop in front of me but it didn’t register that someone was actually standing in front of me, so I kept to myself and my thinking. Eventually he grunted, attempting to get my attention.
    “Ay, could you let me in your house so I could cool down?” he asked. His accent was thick and foreign, and his skin wasn’t tanned he was just of a darker skinned race. I nodded in response and stood up to open the door and let him in. I also hadn’t thought that he could be a burglar or someone that just planned to gut me as soon as we stepped inside. Fortunately he didn’t plan on doing anything illegal; he was just worn out and tired from the ridiculous heat that decided to come upon the world that day.
    “By the way, what’s wrong?” he asked, not really seeming concerned just forcing a conversation so we didn’t have to sit in awkwardness, “You seem down about something.” His accent was slightly frightening; I figured English wasn’t his first language or maybe even his second language. He wasn’t from around here.
    “One of my Pokémon refuses to use any attack that doesn’t do damage, as if he is eternally taunted.” The foreign man sat in thought for sometime before asking me what Pokémon it was and if he could help in anyway. “Voltor…”
    “AH! VOLTORB. Those things are an ass to train, mine didn’t get it either. I thought it was just his pride in the way. However, it happened to be that fact that he was afraid to mess up and back fire on himself. He knew that he could easily perform and damage his opponents with actual attacks so he stuck to those. Eventually I had to show him that my other Pokémon could use these stat powering moves and whatnot without hurting themselves and with time he finally gave in and tried it out.”
    I shook my head in acknowledgement. Finally I had been given the answer to what seemed like the question of the century.
    “Well it is about time I go,” he said as he stood up and walked to the door.
    “By the way, what is your name?”
    “Mike.”
    “Wait…”
    “Yes. That Mike. Good luck.”
    “Thanks, thanks a lot, man.”
    And with that my encounter with a legendary trainer ended. Our paths continued to run into each other and he taught me many more lessons, turning me into quite the trainer.
    After finally letting himself use non-damaging moves Electrode had more or less perfected all of them which made Charge a simple move to use compared to something like Substitute, which he had used in a pinch. Charge charged the electrons and protons and neutrons in Electrode’s body which made blue sparks shoot out from every angle that they could, crackling as they escaped the white or red encasing of Electrode.
    Though, at this point I wasn’t even sure if Electrode would be able to pull of the Thunderbolt as the two previous moves that I commanded to Electrode took a bit longer to execute than I had anticipated, however there was no point in just letting Whimsicott shoot off a dangerous attack without blasting her with our own super-attack.
    “All right, Thunderbolt that flowery… thing.”
    Once again Electrode’s eyes scrunched up, making him look almost constipated, then they popped open suddenly and a white and blue zigzag of electricity pulsed from the skies, then another one appeared, then another. Each one took a step closer to Whimsicott; even one burned and destroyed the ground beneath it. This was going to be a big hit.
    Small yellows orbs of energy began to phase into existence near the Whimsicott. They drifted slowly through the air towards the Grass-type before being absorbed. Junior watchedher do this as a small frown creased his forehead.
    “We’ve got some time to build up a powerful attack, Electrode. I want you to start off with a Rain Dance," he said to his Pokemon.
    Electrode did that small tilting motion that I was now almost 100% sure was a substitute for a nod, and it began firing electric blasts into the light blue sky. After a few bolts, the sky began to darken, and clouds started to gather. The world grew dark and I heard the incredibly familiar patter of approaching rain. I sighed and pulled the hood of my coat up over my hair, resigning myself to being wet yet again. The yellow energy orbs around Whimsicott were much less frequent, but they didn't stop occurring. She apparently intended to finish off the Solarbeam despite this setback.
    "Charge up, Electrode!" Junior yelled over the sound of approaching rain, and small yellow darts began to crawl all over Electrode's body. They wriggled over each other, forming a fine mesh of electrical energy over the Electrode's body.
    I heard a sudden high pitched whine, and I looked over to the Whimsicott. She was now holding in her stubby brown arms a sphere of bright yellow energy. She held it towards Electrode in a motion that reminded me of a mother giving her child a present, and the orb sudden split open. Long streaks of pure white slashed towards the white-and-red Electric type, and the Solarbeam crashed into Junior's Pokemon. Electrode was forced backwards a couple metres, but the electrical mesh helped shave off some of the raw power behind the Whimsicott's powerful attack. Finally, the rain arrived, and small drops began to splatter down over my coat.
    “All right, Thunderbolt that flowery… thing,” Junior said slowly.
    Electrode's eyes closed tight, but nothing happened. Suddenly, a bright white zigzag blurred out of the ground and down into the turf right in front of Electrode, blowing a big hole it in. A second one lanced into the ground a bit further out. The line of Thunderbolts moved steadily towards the Whimsicott at blinding speed before the final one made direct contact with her. She cried out and fell onto her behind, but managed to get back up onto her feet. She then held out both her hands towards the Electrode and small pieces of her white mane detached and flew over to Electrode. They attached themselves to his perfectly spherical body and began to expand, causing him to wobble in discomfort.
    I’m back ^_^ heheheheheheheheh
    --
    Electrode’s apparently discomfort seemed to make him unable to move as quickly as I would have liked. Unfortunately that made him as useless as he is spherical. It was a problem. However, with Spiritomb just having been part of a fierce battle and Metagross with hardly enough health to be put out into the middle of a battle I had no other choice than to keep my electricity producing friend out on the battle field, even if his best stat had been reduced to just about nothing with the spores that attached themselves like a clingy girlfriend.
    Not only did Electrode not have his speed anymore, it finally clicked in my head that electric damage was not going to do very much damage to Whimsicott as grass-type Pokémon had a resistance to electric-type attacks. My small hiatus from Pokémon had finally been getting to me after the other two battles. Though I was exhausted, I had to find out a way for Electrode to do some explosive damage to Whimsicott… without actually having to use Explosion.
    “Okay, Electrode, for now we will have to set up some defensive barriers. Start with using Light Screen,” I commanded. Though I was not sure if Whimsicott would use more beam like attacks I knew that most grass Pokémon liked the use of special attacks rather than physical ones. It was just easier for them.
    Electrode spun around a few times to relieve itself of the itchiness that the spores had cursed on him, although I had a doubtful feeling in my gut that a smaller number of spores would make him any quicker as they had done their damage already. I sneezed as the green specks of dust flew towards me. “Oh boy, don’t get my allergies going now,” I mumbled as I sniffled and itched my nose.
    As the spinning’s pace quickened the red and white of Electrode became to collide into one smear of a color, almost pink but not quite. Currents of electricity sprouted from the dirt earth beneath Electrode, Chain and me and began to form a pink lighting around Electrode. The sparks and currents of crackling electricity splashed onto the pink lighting and meshed together forming plates of pinkish purple in front of Electrode. His Light Screen seemed to work, although this was far different from what I had seen in the past from other Pokémon using the move.
    I had no way of knowing if Whimsicott was going to just watch us some more or if the Pokémon would go on the offensive. There was no more time to set up defenses. I had to go on the offensive to at least dish out a little damage. In the back of my head I knew that I would have to swap out Electrode for another of my two Pokémon at some point in the near future, though I wanted to be optimistic.
    “Now that we have a bit more defense on our side, Electrode, let’s go on the offensive,” I yelled at him with little confidence. Probably not the best of ways to command your Pokémon, but I really had no plan and no idea what I could do with Electrode at the moment. “Why don’t we try a Sonicboom?!”
    Electrode looked at me confused. I did not know why I commanded Sonicboom. I do not believe that we had ever gone over how to use it. But Electrode was smart Pokémon, he could figure out how to produce the overwhelmingly loud noise. And if he did not then we would just get blasted by another attack from Whimsicott and its mane of spores.
    Electrode turned back to the battle, opened his mouth and began to inhale. His small round circular body began to enlarge from all the air that was being sucked inside. My jaw had probably dropped a bit in amazement.
    “I don’t think that’s supposed to happen,” I whispered to myself, crossing my fingers hoping Electrode did not end up rolling toward Whimsicott and exploding. That is not how I wanted my battle to go.
    That is not how it happened though. Electrode’s mouth closed for a moment. He started his spin once again, the every so common sparks of electricity exploded from the ground with deadening crackles. Electrode had opened his mouth while spinning and a gust made of electricity came out crackling and roaring while making its way to destroy the innards of Whimsicott’s ears as well as mine and ranger Chainy's.
    OOC: Yaaaay, Jr is back ^^
    ~~~~~

    “Okay, Electrode, for now we will have to set up some defensive barriers. Start with using Light Screen,” Junior commanded.

    Electrode started to spin on his axis, kicking off a few of the sticky white/green spores. They floated through the air towards us humans, causing both of us to sneeze, which really irritated me. The worst part about being sick was the runny nose. Junior muttered something about allergies and I felt sorry for the poor guy. My little brother occasionally had horrifically bad bouts with hayfever.

    Small pink sparks began whirling off of the Electrode, and they coalesced into a rectangle that hovered in front of the Electric-type. I recognised it as a Light Screen because my Gallade frequently used it in combat. I'd never considered how Pokemon without hands created a Light Screen, but now I knew.

    The Whimsicott wasn't wasting time either. Her fluffy white mane started pulsing and expanding, a move that I recognised as Growth. Most people knew that it increased the power of all Grass-type attacks, but few knew that it also caused physical strikes to do more damage.

    “Now that we have a bit more defense on our side, Electrode, let’s go on the offensive. Why don’t we try a Sonicboom?” Junior asked.

    After exactly one second I could feel a foreboding aura descend over the battlefield. I wasn't quite sure why, but for some reason I think Junior was regretting his move choice. Electrode continued to spin, but he dropped his jaw and started sucking in air. Regular yellow sparks flickered around his maw, and about half of them were sucked in. I tapped my ears, knowing what was coming. Thankfully, my earpieces were in place. I saw that Whimsicott was also inhaling in a similar manner.

    Electrode stopped breathing in, and it made an unbelievable loud shrieking sound. It was so powerful that it even managed to partially get past my earbuds. The Whimsicott recoiled, but blew straight back at Electrode. A huge horizontal tornado blasted out from the Grass-type's mouth and struck Electrode's Light Screen, which in turn was pushed back into Electrode himself.

    ooc; Sorry. I had a better idea for a post. So I redid it. :x

    Whimsicott formed a large gust of winds towards Electrode. Luckily the Light Screen barriers were there to take some of the impact from the tornado-strength winds; the screens did not completely stop the attack though. The translucent pink barriers whipped back into Electrode in-turn nailing him with a smudge of damage. From Electrode’s facial expression you could tell that he was becoming more and more annoyed with Whimsicott. Electrode just was not the Pokémon to fight a Whimsicott. He no longer had the speed to outdo Whimsicott thanks to the sticky spores that had no plans of loosening their grip on Electrode.

    There was one thing that Electrode could do to help capture the fluff ball of a Pokémon though; that one thing being a special move that he and I had been working out for quite a long time. It was a combination move of Thunder Wave and Explosion or Self-destruct. This time I would need to do Explosion though, as we needed to do a higher percent of damage to Whimsicott than Self-destruct was capable of. The Thunder Wave aspect of the attack would hopefully do what is was supposed to do and paralyzed Whimsicott. However, Electrode and I had never used the combo-attack in a serious battle before, we had only tested it. On top of that Electrode was not a fan of making himself faint. But it was necessary in this case.

    “Time for our secret little move, Electrode,” I told him. His face turned from his usual cocky grin into a face full of disappointment. “Sorry, but we have got to do it! It is for the best!” Electrode understood, but he still definitely did not want to do it.

    Electrode’s face then changed once again, from disappointment to complete anger. When Electrode uses Explosion they build up all the anger in their system and transform that emotion into a blast of energy that they release onto their opponent. Electrode had to go double-time right now though, because he also had to prepare that release of energy to be full of an electric pulse that would paralyzed his opponent.

    The ground started to shake a little bit, you could feel all the energy from Electrode. He was on the verge of exploding, if he were a time bomb this is when the obnoxious beep, beep, beep would start playing. But Electrode had yet to start sparkling electricity throughout his body as well as his anger. If he did not do that the attack would be partially useless. Electrode had no choice but to start rolling towards Whimsicott though, before he exploded and damaged me and my ranger.

    But as he gained speed towards Whimsicott, the friction from the ground ignited sparks all around Electrodes body. The sparks were to help him create all that electricity. He kept rolling towards Whimsicott until he was directly in front of the Pokemon.

    OOC: No worries man lol, good to have you back ^^

    ~~~~~
    "Time for our secret little move, Electrode!" Junior called.
    His Electrode didn't seem impressed, but nevertheless it started rolling towards the Grass-type. I was impressed, though - by not yelling out his move commands openly, the Whimsicott wouldn't have as much time to react.
    The Electric type's speed was being hindered by the spores that continued to stick to its body, but its speed was still fairly impressive. Small electrical waves began to gather around its body, and Electrode showed no indications of slowing down as it neared the Wild Pokemon. The Whimsicott waited for Electrode to start its attack, but nothing happened. It started to panic, and green orbs flew out of its white mane towards its enemy. This was where Electrode's spinning really helped it out - some if not most of the bullets deflected around it.
    Electrode started to glow bright white as he approached the Wild Pokemon, and I could clearly see Whimsicott full-on panicking. It created a white shield around itself that appeared to be made of paper-thin silk, but I doubted its effectiveness against whatever Junior was planning. Just before the Electrode collided into the Whimsicott, it pushed the surrounding waves of electricity forwards.
    It then exploded. The Thunder Wave was blasted forwards by a wall of light, which crashed through the Whimsicott's shield, shattering it. I had to look away, or risk eye damage. When I looked back, Electrode was not moving, and there were small trails of gray smoke winding up into the sky from all over his spherical body. The Whimsicott's white shield had been smashed into tiny jagged pieces, but I watched as they slowly formed back around the Whimsicott. Finally, I recognised it as a Safeguard, Strangely, small jets of electricity flared around the Whimsicott's body, indicating paralysis - usually Safeguard protection nullified status effects. Perhaps the shield had been overwhelmed by the sheer destructive power of Electrode's Explosion.
    The strategy employed by Junior clearly hadn't been anticipated by the Whimsicott, and it was currently on the losing end. However, Junior now had to send in another Pokemon to replace his Electrode...
    Good job, friend, I thought as I snatched Electrode's Pokeball off of my belt. I pressed the circular button on it which enlarged the ball and took Electrode in with a red beam of light. Now we have to choose between Metagross and Spiritomb.
    With Electrode fainted I had to make a choice between my two other Pokemon that I had brought along with me. However, it was not a hard choice. If I had a quicker Pokemon I would have chosen it in a heartbeat, but all I had was too slow Pokemon. Metagross would be too strong to attack Whimsicott without making her faint, so I was left with using Spiritomb. Spiritomb was probably the best choice regardless considering it had a higher amount of health left than Metagross did. Spiritomb would have been an even better choice if Whimsicott had not thrown up a Safeguard. With Safeguard up I could no longer put it at a disadvantage with a status. But now I was at a disadvantage, not being able to status it.
    "Alright," I said decisively while I grabbed Spiritomb's Pokeball from my belt. I pressed the circular button on this ball and throw it up into the air in one quick motion. The ball cracked open like an egg about to be scrabbled in the morning and released another red light forming into Spiritomb's ghoulish outline. Spiritomb's outline soon became his actual colors. His facial expression was one of mischievousness. Spiritomb was not a Pokemon to use for just attacking purposes. But that is all I had left for him to do. Spiritomb would hopefully understand that.
    "All we have to go is damage Whimsicott a bit," I told Spiritomb. Spiritomb let out a creepy cry like the Wicked Witch of the West. I assumed that meant that he was ready to battle the tricky Pokemon in Whimsicott. Spiritomb seemed to stare into Whimsicott's soul as he waited for me to command him a move to use.
    I had a few moves in mind. It was either Faint Attack or Ominous Wind. Faint Attack would be tricky though, Spiritomb would have to pretend to faint and we would have to hope Whimsicott would come close enough that Spiritomb could sucker punch her right in the face. But I figured that Whimsicott was a little bit too smart to fall for a cheap attack like that. So Ominous Wind was it. To put a cherry on top, it was one of Spiritomb's favorite moves. He got to make a bunch of freaky cries and moans towards Whimsicott in order to damage her.
    "Spiritomb, use your Ominous Wind attack!" Spiritomb turned around slightly with a big grin on his face. I knew he would love being able to use Ominous Wind. On top of it being his favorite move, it also had a slight chance to raise all of his statistics to a higher stage. Although that would not really matter because this battle was almost over.
    The green orbs which circled Spiritomb's eyes and zigzag mouth began to spin around his facial features. His mouth then opened, showing a never ending pit of blackness. Ear shattering shreeks, screams and squeals began to fill the flower filled field. None of them were pleasant. If I had not been use to this noisy attack I definitely have put something over my ears. The first time Spiritomb used this move my ear drums popped and blood dripped from my ears. I also had hearing problems which could only be corrected with surgery.
    Hopefully this ear destroying effect would also happen to Whimsicott. Ominous Wind was not just a gust of air, it was a house of horror filling your ears. Spiritomb continued to let the noises erupted from his mouth. The green orbs around his face were spinning at what seemed like mach speed. They would not stop until the attack was finished, and the attack would not finish until Spiritomb would tell Whimsicott was in excruciating pain.
    All I could do was hope that Whimsicott would take damage and would take enough damage for me to able to capture in the next few minutes. My hopes were high and with Spiritomb on the battlefield I had no reason to doubt.
    "Alright, all we have to go is damage Whimsicott a bit," Junior murmured as he returned his Electrode to its ball. He picked a different sphere off his belt and threw to towards the Whimsicott. His Spiritomb appeared with a ghostly wail, and I felt a shiver crawl down my spine. By the look on the Whimsicott's face, I could see that it felt much the same way.
    "Spiritomb, use your Ominous Wind attack!" Junior commanded.
    The Ghost-type seemed pleased at this command as it emitted a low croon. The green orbs inside its gaseous body started spinning around quickly, and black tendrils reached across the arena for the Whimsicott. Suddenly, the Ghost-type started to screech. I saw Junior cover his ears, I did the same. The sound was absolutely piercing, in every single meaning of the word. The Whimsicott started to shake and cry out as the sound itself actually started to affect the air and cause wind to whip throughout the battlefield.
    The wind continued to get stronger, and after a few seconds I realised that it wasn't just because of the Spiritomb's attack. The moving air was getting more and more violent, and it appeared to be centering around the Whimsicott's position. The Grass-type's mane of white hair was shaking and quivering, and the wind was moving so fast that I could almost see it. Spiritomb stopped screeching and looked over at its opponent curiously. The Whimsicott was slumping on one side, but it appeared to have enough energy left to charge this impressive attack.
    "It looks like the Whimsicott is preparing something big!" I yelled to Junior. "You better do something quick, or it may exhaust itself and faint!"
    Spiritomb's attack eventually began to damage Whimsicott, bringing Whimsicott down to a lower health. A health low enough to hopefully guarantee a successful capture with ease.
    "It looks like the Whimsicott is preparing something big!" My ranger yelled to me. "You better do something quick, or it may exhaust itself and faint!"
    That was what I got for not paying attention to Whimsicott. I was far too focused on damaging Whimsicott that I had forgot she would be able to power up an attack. And the attack that Whimsicott chose to use had the possibility of damaging her as well, not just Spiritomb, me and Ranger Chainy. But I had to have hope. I had to hope that Whimsicott's health was low enough. And maybe, just maybe, the strength of my Pokemon had convinced Whimsicott that she would be a valued member of my Pokemon squad.
    The wind kept pushing at me; getting stronger and stronger with each second. This capture was going to have to be an epic one.
    "Seems like it is that time again," I said to myself as I grabbed the empty Super ball off of my belt, which held my fainted Electrode and my hurt Metagross. "Time to capture myself a Whimsicott!"
    With all my strength I threw the Poke ball into the raging winds that Whimsicott had conjured up. All I wanted was for that red light to come out, suck into Whimsicott and shake back and forth a few times. Once that was over I would have Whimsicott captured. It would be bittersweet though, because then I would have to be escorted out of the beautiful scenery of the National Park.
    "Time to capture myself a Whimsicott!" Junior yelled. He pulled a Super Ball off of his belt and threw it towards the Whimsicott. The spherical device shuddered as the wind tried to divert it from its path, but (perhaps intentionally on Junior's part) there was some spin on the ball which allowed it to knife through the gathering tornado with relative ease.
    The Super Ball made contact with the Whimsicott on its leg. The Grass-type seemed almost surprised at this occurrence, and there was a look of confusion on its face as it was converted into red energy and sucked into the ball. I couldn't see the ball shake as the Wild Pokemon fought the capture mechanism, but after a couple seconds there was a bright red flash. Right afterwards the winds started to die down, until they vanished completely. I walked over and picked up the Super Ball, which was covered in grass and muck.
    "Congratulations, that was a hard-fought battle," I said to Junior as I walked over to him. "Unfortunately, it was also your last Encounter, so we better head on back to the entrance."
    I passed Junior the balls containing the three Pokemon he had captured and started leading him back towards the gate. This had definitely been a interesting expedition - Junior fought with style and power at the same time. He was a top-notch Trainer, and I knew that I would hate to have to battle him in a professional arena. I also knew that he'd treat the Pokemon he caught with respect, which was all I could really hope for.
