I stiffled a yawn as I lifted my face from the hard, oak desk below me and looked around the small cabin. It was quite a cosy place to be in according to Jay. A fire roared in front of him from the hearth of the fireplace. The flames licked against the iron fire gaurd relentlessy. Who knows what could of happened if there was no fire gaurd in place. Surely the dancing magenta embers would dive onto the shaggy rug below and spread. This place would be up in flames in no time. Beside the fire place there was an exhausted red fire extinguisher. It lay limply on the floor as though someone had knocked it over. But, that wasn't the case, Jay preferred it that way. He was never sure why.

The only other thing of interest was his ornate desk, that he had just risen from. On the smooth surface there was a framed photograph of his girlfriend Katie and a wrinkled purple cushion that he had been lying on. At the far end of the desk there was stacks of neatly folded white paper covered in words from his typewrite. They were held together by a green clip with an odd spiral pattern on it. Jay glanced down at the watch on his skinny wrist and saw that it was nearly time for his trainer to arrive. He flicked back his shoulder-length chestnut hair and hopped out of his chair. He walked briskly to the open wooden door and gazed outside. Surely enough, he saw a figure approaching over the craggy ground. He gave a brief wave and called out.

"Hey, glad to take you to the Park," he beamed.

The day finally came. I was about to go on my first journey to the Park I'd dreamed about for such a long time. Before I approached the place where I was supposed to meet my ranger, I checked my light blue backpack to ensure that I have everything for about billionth time. My nervosity was showing because I was staring at the ground not watching where I was heading. Instead I was wondering whether I didn't forget anything or if I took the right Pokemon with me but only time will show.

It was quite surprising that I actually arrived at the right place and didn't get lost on the way. When I approached a small wooden cabin belonging to the ranger I was supposed to meet I got second thoughts. I wanted to turn around and run away but I heard some noiceas if someone was walking towards the door. I quickly returned to walking forward so that I wouldn't look like a coward.

Suddenly a person looked out of the door and waved at me. He looked interesting, certainly not like an old and fat guy with a beard as I had imagined. He was quite tall and his brown hair was following him like a shadow. He looked friendly and fired up for the journey. This calmed me down a bit.

Maybe it won't be so bad. I thought.

After all, we'll be going to Meteor Valley, the place I've heard so many good and bad stories of. It was mysterious and scary but I felt strange attractions to it. I had always wanted to go there ever since I first thought of this but I had never thought that I would actually be heading there. I touched my Pokeballs on my belt as if I wanted my Pokemon to calm me down.

I sped up a bit and smiled a little hoping that it had looked like a smile because my nervosity returned back. I felt my knees shaking and I feared that my voice would break when I start speaking. I repeat my prepared polite greeting, after all I wanted to my good first impression and I was praying that I wouldn't say anything stupid.

"H-hi!" I blushed a little both because of stuttering and impolite greeting. Hours spent in front of a mirror practicing greeting and introduction were in vain.

I watched as the trainer approached the cabin. I was almost certain that she hadn't yet noticed me. She looked sort of nervous and every few steps she spared a glance over her shoulder as though she thought someone was following her. She brought one of her hands to her bright blue backpack and pulled out two Pokeballs after she had zipped it open. She passed the two Pokeballs to her other hand, looking down at them nervously. I starled in bewilderment.

Perhaps she is going to send out a Pokemon I thought to myself.

The trainer noticed me and looked up from her hands. She gave me a quick smile and looked as though she was trying to say something. Her face scrunched up in concentration.

    "H-hi," she stuttered.

"Hey," I called back sharing a smile with the newcomer. To tell the truth I was feeling slightly nervous myself. This was my first time in the Park as a ranger. I looked up and down the plains, trying to decide where to go. The sun was beating down intensely from above and I realised I should have packed more bottles of water.

"Where would you like to go," I asked my trainer witha broad grin. I raised my hands and extended them outwards to indicate that all directions were a posibility.

OOC: I think I'll keep it in the first person. Sorry about any confusion.

The sudden question confused me and I didn't know what to do. I just watched the ranger moving his hands in a strange way and didn't really understand what was he trying to achieve. I looked around the place trying to figure out what was going on. I hated when things went out of control and this was more than perfect example of said situation.

I didn't even know his name and he already wanted to start the journey. So I was simply standing there, insecure whether to answer his question or introduce myself. Honestly, I felt like running away. This didn't go the way I planned at all. I touched my Pokeballs once again. Then a sudden and strange mental image popped up in my head. Basically, it included my Dragonite, the Ranger with waving hands and one strong Hyper Beam. I would giggle if the situation wasn't so strange.

"I-I... Uh... Huh?" It was the only thing I could have gotten out of myself at that time. I opened my mouth and stared at him still confused. I was thinking what should I say, which path should I choose and what was going on. When I finally woke up from my daydream I decided to go along with my original plan and ask him his name.

"I... Uh... S-Sorry, this my sound strange but what's your name? I think I missed it." No, I certainly did not miss it but I couldn't think of better excuse. Looking back, maybe this reason wasn't so good at all but at least I managed to say something. It was obvious by my reaction that this didn't go the way I planned. I looked at ground and blushed insulting myself for being so slow. Once again I found myself staring at my own trainers hoping he would take it as a joke and won't get angry.

"We can go any way you want, I don't know it here at all. Maybe you could choose the least dangerous path, after all this is the first time I've been here." I quickly added to change the topic. Still staring at the ground as if I tried to hypnotise it to spit out a Diglet.

The trainer looked really confused and I gave her a warm smile. She couldn't decide what way to go and I saw her hand instinctively go for her Pokeball.

"We can go any way you want, I don't know it here at all. Maybe you could choose the least dangerous path, after all this is the first time I've been here," she blurted out. I could sense she was slightly overwhelmed.

"My apologies, my name is Jay and as you know, I'm your ranger. I should have said so earlier. I'm so sorry. I completely forgot totell you," I blushed genuinely sorry. "As for what direction we should go. I don't mind, but I think going East would help," I said pointing behind the trainer. I could see long grass swaying as the wind blew over it. "That's the safest area from what I know," I smiled. "The Pokemon there are all really friendly."

I began to head in that direction. The barren land below me cracked as I walked creating a nice sound to hear. A cool gust of wind blew by and I shuddered.the cool wind was a nice break from the scorching sun. As we walked clouds began to form overhead, obscuring the sun from view. The sky started to grow darker as more clouds passed by. The ground became a lot more pleasent now andshoots of grass popped up out of the cracked, dusty ground. I turned around to see my trainer was following obediently. As I turned back around I heard a growl to my left. My head whizzed around to see one of my favourite Pokemon there.

"Why hello Kirlia," I chimed. She bent her vibrant head downwards as a greeting. She raised her pearly white hands and pointed at the trainer. The Kirlia blushed a bright scarlet colour and cowered behind me. "Well Kirlia is a little shy. How about you tell her your name," I smiled at the trainer who had accompanied me.

"As for what direction we should go. I don't mind, but I think going East would help," He said pointing somewhere behind me. I turned around and saw grass. It wasn't either scary or dangerous. It was just a simple grass. Even though it was what I asked for, I felt a bit down. I expected far more form the famous Meteor Valley but I was sure that there will be more to it in time.

The gentle wind was playing with it, bending it in unsteady rythm. The clouds played with their shadows that slithered through the grass like a Seviper and wind constantly changed their look. It looked almost magical and I couldn't help smiling.
The ranger's voice woke me up from my daydreaming about mere grass.

"That's the safest area from what I know," He said. "The Pokemon there are all really friendly."

I nodded, wondering what kinds of Pokemon we will run into. My mind was going wild with ideas just to chase all of them away because they simply didn't fit to the place. As my mind was wandering away once again, Jay started moving towards the grass. I waited for him to get farther from me so that I could follow him with ease. To my surprise, it wasn't as easy as it sounded. He walked faster than me obviously he was on a few journeys like this before. I was quite surprised when I realised that this was his first time leading a trainer through the park. He acted and looked like a professional. I had to walk a bit faster than usually to keep up with him. It was getting darker but it was only caused by the clouds.

I really wouldn't want to stay here overnight. I thought. It wasn't dangerous or anything but it was easy to get lost because everything looked the same. Besides, the Pokemon rumored to live here can be really dangerous. This brought me back to my thoughts of the variety of Pokemon we could meet. Suddenly the ranger turned to me and then back. I was wondering if he wanted to say something but changed his mind or if he was just checking if I'm still behind him.

I looked around the place we were walking through. There was no big change, only if in the shades of green of the grass partly caused by the clouds passing on the sky. I looked up watching the them following the ranger only by hearing. I hoped it wouldn't start raining. I was sure the ranger would think of something if it did but I didn't have an umbrella or raincoat with me and I didn't want to abuse my Pokemon just to be dry.

I nearly ran into Jay when he stopped without a warning and started talking to grass. I didn't get it at first but when I looked closer I saw a small Pokemon and realised that the 'grass' was actually its hair. I felt a bit ashamed but I was too focused on the Pokemon to pay attention to something else. I smiled at it and bended down so that I could see it better.

"Well Kirlia is a little shy. How about you tell her your name," Jay smiled at me when I came closer to the small Pokemon. Kirlia looked at me in surprise and cowered behind Jay even more than it already was. I was wondering when it came so close to him but I blamed my daydreaming nature.

"Hi there, little one," The little creature was quite funny as it tried to do both hide behind Jay and watch me. "My name is Ashley but you can call me Ashe." To other people it would sound weird to say something like this to a Pokemon since it won't call me by my name but to me treating Pokemon like friends was normal. I wished the Kirlia wouldn't be so scared of me so I decided to let my Dragonite meet her. She's really friendly and good natured but I hope that her height won't Scare Kirlia away.

"Hey, Kirlia, do you want to see of my my Pokemon? It may be big but it is really nice so you don't have to be scared." I stood up and took one Pokeball out of my belt. I turned around so that Dragonite wouldn't pop up rigth at Kirlia and threw it at the ground. After some time my Pokemon appeared in a flash of red light and greeted me with a loud cry. It was obviously happy to be out of its Pokeball so soon.

"Hi there little one," Ashley said to the Kirlia. The Kirlia's red eyes opened in surprise and she cowered back behind me.

"Kirlia can be very shy at times," I muttered. Then Kirlia did something quite strange. He seemed to summon up all of his courage and he jumped out from behind me. The Kirlia pushed it's chest out trying to seem bigger. Kirlia had a slight glint in it's eyes that I knew spelled trouble. "Sometimes he can be troublesome," I sighed. Kirlia pushed me out of the way and marched through the rustling stalks of grass and right up to Ashe, seemingly unaffected by the wind. Ashley didn't seem to notice this sudden change of character and continued talking. I retreated a step. It really seemed as though these two got along.

"Hey, Kirlia, do you want to see of my my Pokemon? It may be big but it is really nice so you don't have to be scared," Ashley asked a she retrieved a Pokeball from her bag. Kirlia nodded in agreement and gave a little twirl.

"Kirlia loves a battle," I sighed. "Are you sure you want to battle it," I asked Ashley but it was obvious that she liked this Kirlia as much as I did.

Ashley hurled the classic red and White Pokeball into the air. It shot through the air away from Kirlia. I knew that Ashley didn't want to scare away the Kirlia. A flash of red light illuminated the landscape and a monstrous shape began to form. The Kirlia watched, intrigued, as the shape of Dragonite formed. It towered over both me and Ashley and it had a large grin plastered on it's face. It's bright orange body added a bit of colour to the dreary plains. It's white stomach heaved a it took each breath. It stretched it's serene blue wings and they began to flutter. The powerful wings lifted it off the ground before it landed back on the ground with a stomp. This Pokemon would be quite intimidating if it didn't have such a loyal and friendly reputation. Kirlia gave another growl diverting all the attention back to her again.

"Seems like he wants to battle," I said as Kirlia's two hands rose and stood about six inches apart. Blue sparks of electricity jumped from hand to hand and within seconds a ball of blue, cackling electricity was formed.

"Oh, my, that little Kirlia is surely fired up." I nearly giggled when I saw how fast the Kirlia reacted to my Dragonite. I saw confusion in her eyes when she thought of fighting something so small compared to her. I knew her good enough to know that she was scared of harming the Pokemon too much and yet the little creature was eager to show us its power. I smiled, I knew there was nothing to worry about after all if this Kirlia was weak it wouldn't growl but would hide instead seeing a stronger oponent. Even though it could simply want to make us believe that it's stronger than it actually is. That would be the worse case and I hoped it isn't ours because Dragonite wouldn't forgive me for making her fight such a weak Pokemon.

"It's not like we have much of a choice now." I replied to Jay's question a bit late. Dragonite spread its wings awaiting my order to fly up to prepare to counter Kirlia's attack. She rose even more when she straightened her back and head out. I was quite surprised that the Kirlia wnated to fight her despite her height.

"Alright, Dragonite, up to the sky!" I called and my Pokemon spread her wings, slightly bended and flew up with her full power with a loud cry the very second I finished the sentence leaving only a huge cloud of dust behind her. I didn't know what should I cover first, whether my ears because of the roar of the dragon Pokemon or my face so that the dust wouldn't get into my eyes. I wanted to be able to see what was going on too.

Kirlia obviously didn't wait for us to attack first and decided to take the matter into his own hands. Literally. Kirlia's hands rose and stood about six inches apart. Blue sparks of electricity jumped from hand to hand and within seconds a ball of blue, cackling electricity was formed.

"That was some power, Dragonite! Watch out for the Kirlia's attack. Use Agility to try to dodge it!" I didn't call a damaging move yet because I knew Dragonite would hesitate to attack something so small if she didn't know it was strong enough to last the attack so I figured it would be better to let her see the power of the little Pokemon. Truth be told, I, too, was interested in it.

Dragonite flapped her wings and started flying around on the sky in shape of an eight. She was peeding up every second so it was obvious that she was preparing for the attack. She knew that the attack would get to her soon so she wanted to raise her speed as much as possible before it happens. I hoped she would keep her speed on such level that she would be able to see the oncoming Shock Wave.

Suddenly I got an idea. There was a way how to both hit Kirlia and not to damage him.

"When he unleashes the attack fly towards Kirlia and around the beams of electricity to avoid them. Once you are close enough use Thunderwave to weaken him! Use it even if it hits you, you'll still be close enough so it will have a big chance to work." I called at the floating Pokemon who was still raising her speed. Her antennea gently shivered also preparing for using a move. Small sparks started flowing around them so I knew she didn't want to waste any second.

"Alright, Dragonite, up to the sky," Ashley commanded. Dragonite nodded at her trainer and it's wings began to beat heavily against the ground emitting strong gusts of wind. With a burst of energy Dragonite soared up high into the sky. He soared higher and higher until he had reached the blanket of fluffy clouds, where he hid. I could hear her flying around but it was hard to see it behind the layer of clouds. Occasionally a streak of orange would be visible but it would disappear again within seconds. Kirlia's red eyes turned a magnificent blue colour as she scanned the eyes. It appeared as though she was using her telekinetic powers to see through the clouds. His eyes snapped shut and the ball of electricity shot out of his hand up into the sky, trailing the Dragonite. Unfortunately for Dragonite, the clouds blocked it's vision aswell so it didn't see the ball of electricity coming towards it.

"Agility!" Ashley commanded in the nick of time. The Dragonite paused momentarily, bracing itself and then rushed downwards towards Kirlia at a frightening speed. The ball of electricity hot on it's tail. Suddenly the ball began to change shape and contorted and divided into three smaller balls of electricity. The balls all shot downwards, except at different angles.

"When he unleashes the attack fly towards Kirlia and around the beams of electricity to avoid them. Once you are close enough use Thunderwave to weaken him! Use it even if it hits you, you'll still be close enough so it will have a big chance to work," Ashley roared over the rushing sound of the wind.

The Dragonite slowed down and sstretched it's mouth wide open. Sparks of electricity flew out and went straight for the Kirlia. The Kirlia was busy manipulating the Shock Wave attack so it didn't avoid the weak jolt of electricity hit it square in the face. Sparks leaped over her skin before dissappearing inside her skin. She jumped a little, but regained concentration immediately afterwards. The three balls of electricity hit Dragonite awkwardly in the back, knocking it to the floor.

OOC: Try and detail the moves more than anything else. Otherwise, excellent :3

OOC: I didn't think I would run into Pokemon other than unevolved basics that's why I have only Parkballs and I also thought they could catch everythng but fully evolved mons. btw thanks for the tip.

Dragonite loudly crashed to the ground leaving a trail behind her. The ground shaked a bit and cracked where Dragonite fell leaving quite a big mark. It was obviously caused by the speed she gained when using Agility. She was stunned for a while after the crash but stood back up quickly. Still a bit shocked by the sudden fall, she shook her wings and head to regain stability and focus. When she realised that Kirlia was succesfully paralyzed she looked at me proudly.

"Great job you did there buddy! But don't let your guard fall Kirlia will soon return the hit and it will be probably stronger than before." I called at my Dragonite who got really fired up for the battle when she heard me. She returned to her safe position up in the sky and prepared to attack once more. She was watching every single movement of Kirlia to be sure that he wouldn't attack without Dragonite noticing it.

"How about we used something stronger now?" I asked and noticed that Dragonite nodded in agreement still fully focused on Kirlia. We couldn't waste anymore time so I quickly called the move.

"Use Twister to pick Kirlia up from the ground and then Aquatail to throw it back!" Dragonite loked at me in surprise. Kirlia proved her his power but this still seemed too strong to her. After all it was a combo composed of 2 considerably strong moves. I looked at Dragonite and smiled.

"Look at the damage Kirlia has done to you with one hit I think it is safe to assume that this won't be so dangerous to him. And you don't have to use full power Aquatail, you don't even have to hit him with your tail, just use the water from it." Dragonite liked this idea more, Kirlia wouldn't recieve as much damage and so she decided to go along with it. Hitting with water of the Aquatail would still send Kirlia flying back to the ground quite fast and that would take its toll also.

After giving it some more thoughts Dragonite followed my order and started flapping her wings aiming at Kirlia. As she was flapping faster and faster a small tornado started forming sucking everything to it. I hoped it wouldn't much damage to the park considering that it can get really big affter some time.

The wind in the tornado started spining faster as the tornado grew bigger and bigger and then it was prepared to hit the small psychic Pokemon. The wind was spining really fast now, it was safe to assume that it could cut the grass if Dragonite was standing on ground. I could have felt soft breeze going from it even on such a big distance.

Dragonite flapped her wings for one more time far stronger and slower than before and a bige and powerful tornado flew toward Kirlia. Dragonite started preparing for the second part of the plan. She used the humidity to create a small water drop on the tip of her tail that slowly slid to its root creating a spiral of water. Dragonite let the water to properly position itself on her tail and prepared for unleashing the move on the Kirlia.

The plan Dragonite had was to wait until Twister does its job, then she would fly to the floating Kirlia but not close enough to make physical contact with her tail with Kirlia. The she wanted to twirl releasing the water from her tail that would hit Kirlia like a Water Gun. I knew this because Dragonite wanted to avoid doing much damage to the pokemon but on the other hand she wanted to fight it. The time spent together made us both understand the way we tought so I assumed that Dragonite wouldn't just stop attacking when I ashed her to instead she would try to amke a compromise so that we both would be happy.

Dust scattered all over the battle field from the power of the intense landing. As the dust began to clear I began to make out the shape of the Dragonite.

"Great job you did there buddy! But don't let your guard fall Kirlia will soon return the hit and it will be probably stronger than before," Ashley called out to her Dragon Type Pokemon.

Their was a loud beating sound of wings as the Dragonite made to the skies once more. The gust of wind blown from the flapping wings blew away the remaining dust from the make-shift battle field. Ther Dragonite rose until it was about ten metres from the ground and eyed Kirlia suspiciously.

"How about we used something stronger now? Use Twister to pick Kirlia up from the ground and then Aquatail to throw it back!" Ashley commanded. Dragonite gave her a reproachful look. It was clear that she wanted to obey her master, yet she really didn't want to use overpowering moves. Especially on the Kirlai who was just staring at Dragonite. It dropped down a bit. I could see it thought that these moves was too powerful.

"Look at the damage Kirlia has done to you with one hit I think it is safe to assume that this won't be so dangerous to him. And you don't have to use full power Aquatail, you don't even have to hit him with your tail, just use the water from it." Dragonite looked a lot happier now and it began forcing it's wings through the air repeatedly. A strong wind was picking up and I could feel the wind blow my hair about. Gradually a small hurricane began to form, no more than two or three metres in size. Dragonite beamed at it's creation and spun around so that the breeze from his tail shooting past would send the hurricane fliying. The hurricane shot foward at a terrific speed and sucked up the startled Kirlia. It lifted the Emotion Pokemon off of the grassy ground below and into the air. Kirlia struggled a little but it stopped as a torrent of ice-cold water smacked into it, knocking it to the ground. Kirlia feel down to the ground, landing on her knees. Her knees trembled slightly as she stood up. She looked a lot weaker than before and averted her gaze from the Dragon.

Kirlia twirled around in a circle and clapped her dainty hands. She continued clapping and the ground began to shake. He closed his eyes and began to mutter to himself. The clouds above all seemed to be pulled towards us. They drew closer and darker until a thick blanket of them were right above the field. Kirlia's eyes snapped open and a ferocious sound of thunder roared from the sky. A shot of brilliant lightning pierced the air before dissapperaing among the dark clouds.

"Uh-oh," I said as the clouds burst and a plethora of rain droplets fell from the sky. They poured down on us and within seconds myself and Ashley were soaked aswell as the two battling Pokemon. "Come here," I said beckoning Ashley closer as I threw a golden Pokeball up into the air. It flashed a deep blue colour and whizzed back to my hand. In front of me a Golduck had materialised. It seemed to relish the sight of the rain and it's cream beak opened up to taste some of the liquid. It gulped it down greedily and turned back to me as it licked it's beak.

"Oh," I sighed. "Behave yourself!" I joked. "Now, protect us from the rain with your ability, Cloud Nine." The Golduck blinked twice in rapid succession and a translucent bubble appeared around myself and Ashley. The rain pounded against the bubble but none penetrated us. "Much netter," I smiled as my Golduck rushed out to enjoy the falling rain.

Kirlia started dancing in a really strange way and I quite didn't get what waas he trying to do. I kept watching him performing the dane when the the clouds started drawing closer and the sky was darkening. Suddenly a bright yellow lighting shot from one cloud to another. It was when I started to be scared of the outcome. I looked at Dragonite as she was confusingly looking around her. This was bad, Dragonite was scared of storm and the fact she was high up didn't really help it.

"Dragonite, come down!" I shouted at her but she couldn't hear because of the harsh sound that came from another lightning. The rain became stronger and made everything darker than it already was.

"Come here," I could hardly hear Jay through the rain but I figured out what he wanted when he called out his Golduck.

I wanted to try and shout at Dragonite once again but I realised that it would be pointless to stay out in the rain and get soaked even more so I quickly ran to Jay to shield myself from the rain in the bubble his Gloduck was creating.

Another lightining flashed through the sky and the rain got worse. It was really hard to see Dragonite or Kirlia who seemed to be still dancing.

Suddenly Dragonite started glowing light blue. I hoped it was just for the purpose of getting some light but unfortunatelly I was wrong. A light blue ball started engulfing her and she turned to Kirlia. It didn't take long for her to find him, since his figure waas the only one moving in the darkness and his light clothes were easy to spot. I tried calling at Dragonite not to do it but she couldn't hear me. She probably fully concentrated on what I told my mons before we left. 'If you'll be in a situation you'll consider dangerous for you, don't worry about knocking out the mon you'll be facing, just do what you find the best solution.'

I looked at ground and stopped yelling, Dragonite was clever enough to know what to do in a situation like this. And I knew it was the only thing she could do. She was really high up and probably couldn't see or hear me so it would be impossible to battle like this. Also her instincts were telling her to get rid of the thing that caused it this much stress and fear.

When I looked again she was already heading for the psychic Pokemon with full speed using Dragon Rush. The torrents of energy were cycling through her whole body and I was sure she had to fight a lot with herself to use this move so I admired her for it.

The icy cold rain poured down in the bucket loads. It clung onto Ashley's hair giving it a darker appearence. It hung down from her face limply until she ran towards the bubble that provided an "immunity" of sorts to the elements. It became quite apparent to me that she was very loyal to her Pokemon and cared for them as she put their safety before her own. A wave of relief seemed to overcome me as she stepped across the barrier and I gave her a quick clap on the back. I couldn't help noticing the worried look on her face though.

"Come here," she said through chattering teeth as her beloved drgaon Pokemon swooped downwards. Golduck's presence seemed to have a slightly strange effect on the weather as the roar of the thunder and the glaring sight of the lightning streaking across the sky dissappered. The dark clouds appeared to be growing lighter and they seemed to be returning to their previous state of calmness and serenity.

The bubble of energy dissappeared as the weather cleared but I couldn't see the Kirlia at first. I raised my hand to help provide a better viewing point but the Pokemon was nowhere in sight. There was a faint cry of pain causing Ashley and I to turn around. The Kirlia was leaning against a thick tree trunkthat I had failed to notice earlier. A dark, dog-like Pokemon stood in front of it barking viciously. It was strange for Pokemon to be so vicious towards one another but I was certain that it was due to the fact that the freak weather probably scared the poor Poochyena. Poochyena gave a sickening grunt and dove on top of the Kirlia. The Kirlia spun around and teleported out of sight. Faint traces of blue dust seemed to hang around in the air afterwards. The Poochyena turned around and began barking at the Dragonite.

"Don't worry," I said calmly. "Kirlia may come back later. But, for now, would you be interested in battling this rogue Poochyena?"

OOC: I'm without inspiration so this will be far worse than my usual posts.

The clouds were getting lighter and farther apart. It was obvious it wouldn't take long until they fully disappear. I was wondering what caused this so I looked at Jay expecting some answers. Jay was focused on something in front of him and his solemn face made me feel that he, too, didn't understand what was going on.

I looked forwards as well trying to spot something unusal that caught his sight but I didn't see anything. It made me feel strange, though I didn't understand why. Then I got it. There was nothing, not even the Kirlia that gave me so much trouble.

I looked confusedly at Jay who was, probably, trying to firuge out Kirlia's current whereabouts just like me. My train of thoughts was interrupted by a strange, barely hearable cry. I turned around and noticed that Jay did the same. We and our Pokemon saw a really weird scene of Poochyena attacking Kirlia for no obvious reason and Kirlia teleporting away. It made me a bt sad because I liked that small white Pokemon. However, our attention was soon turned to Poochyena when it started barking at my Dragonite. She was obviously confused by this. It was the second Pokemon that day that didn't even reach her knees yet it wanted to fight her and was sure of its win.

I smiled at its weak try to make her scared of it and Dragonite was more and more confused. She looked at me in surprised as if she wanted to ask what the Pokemon wanted from her. At the same time Jay turned to me and said "Don't worry,Kirlia may come back later. But, for now, would you be interested in battling this rogue Poochyena?"

I looked at the small cute Pokemon once again. It was really sweet even though it did its best to look scary. I, sure, would love to catch it but I also knew that this Pokemon and its evolution was too weak to be a useful addition to my team.

"It's really cute but I don't think it's strong. Dragonite would have problems fighting it and Torterra is probably too strong to fight it. I think it's time to move on to see more of this Valley."

OOC: Hopefully this motivates you :D

Ashley looked at the cute, yapping Poochyena and sighed. This was a typical response from trainers towards Poochyena and Mightyena. No one ever seemed to want them, despite their appealing looks, because they were classed by most as "weak" Pokemon. This always saddens me to thiink. I glanced at the Golduck standing to my right. He had the same saddened look on it's calm face. Golduck shifted his webbed-feet nervously, and I knew exactly why. Golduck were often classed as useless Pokemon, just like the Mightyena.

"It's really cute, but I don't think it's strong," Ashe said, waking the Golduck and myself from our momentary trance. "Dragonite would have problems fighting it and Torterra is probably too strong. Let's move on to see more of the valley," she added.

This gave me a bit of relief. At least she wasn't battling it because she didn't want it, but because she was looking out for her Dragonite.

"I think we should go the opposite way," I said, glancing back at the Poochyena who still hadn't moved.
"I know a really cool place around here. But, you will need to ride on your Dragonite," I said as I hopped onto the Golduck's sturdy back. As Ashley mounted the cheerful Dragonite I studied the sky. It was a serene baby blue colour, with occasionally flecks of milky-white cloud strands. "Try to keep up. Now, Golduck, Aqua Jet!"

Golduck closed his eyes and shot forward with a tremendous burst of speed. The wind forced my hair back as we shot over the long, bristly grass below. Water poured down the Golduck's back, which some might have confused as sweat. But I knew he secreted the droplets from miniscule glands all along his body. Iooked back to see Ashe and her Dragonite soaring directly behind us. I gave her a brief wave that she may not have seen.

Then suddenly, the Golduck came to an abrupt stop right in front of a gogantic, thick oak tree covered in holes where various Pokemon live. No leaves grew on this particular ancien tree for some reason. Ashe's Dragonite swooped down and landed beside me. Ashe dropped down and stared up at the magnificent tree, jaw slightly open.

"This," I said, pausing for effect, "is the Tree of Spirits. It marks the entrance to the most sinister and spookiest park of the Park, The Stones." Ashe looked horrified, yet intrigued as I said this.

We both stood staring at the beautiful tree for a few seconds until we were interrupted by a squawk from above. A Natu flew down from one of the gnarled branches above. It's red wings beated incessantly as it flew down towards us. It landed a few feet in front of the Dragonite, and tilted it's bright green head to one side, clearly perplexed. It was unusual for these Pokemon to see Dragon types.

"Would you like to catch it?"

Jay and his Pokemon obviously weren't happy from my response. I could have seen their meaningfull eye contact and subtle sad look especially on Golduck's face. It was when I realised that I probably hurt Golduck even though I didn't mean it like that. After all, strength of Pokemon isn't what's the most important.

I did feel kinda bad for the little cub too but I also knew that it wouldn't be on good terms with my Dragonite as it appeared too aggressive and Dragonite was too sensitive. Torterra would probably slam in to the ground if it dared to be mean to her but I really don't want to imagine how would my other Pokemon treat it.

"I think we should go the opposite way," Jay suggested, still looking at the small dark type with sad eyes. I wanted to say that the good thing was that it would stay here with its friends but I figured out that it would be inappropriate.

Poochyena was obviously shocked when it realised that we decided to ignore it and leave it where it was. It couldn't move for a while and it gave us enough time to jump on our Pokemon and fly, or swim in Golduck's case. My Dragonite and I had a lot of trouble to keep up with them. This showed that Golduck was a really strong Pokemon with a lot of stamina. I admired it a lot and nearly didn't notice when it suddenly stopped. I told Dragonite to do the same but it seemed as if she was ahead of me and had already prepared a landing plan.

We stoped in front of a giant tree and look really old. (And by that I mean REALLY old.) THere were many holes in it and a lot of grass popped out from these holes so it was easy to figure out that it was a popular place for Pokemon to live at.

"This," Jay said with a pause that seemed too long to me becaus I wanted to know what was he about to say "is the Tree of Spirits. It marks the entrance to the most sinister and spookiest park of the Park, The Stones." I looked at him shocked because I clearly remembered that I didn't want to go anywhere dangerous. I was a complete newbie in park so I didn't know what to do if something very bad happened and I didn't want Jay to escort me out because of my incompetence.

Suddenly, something green flew down or rather fell from the higher branches of the tree. It was like a small green ball so at first I thought it was just a leaf but when I looked closer it was a small Pokemon. It landed in front of Dragonite and tried to have a closer look at her but keep some distance in case she would bite him. It was really surprised to see something like her around these parts or maybe it had never seen anything like Dragonite. Onthe other hand, Dragonite was starting to ignore all thse strange small Pokemon that didn't even reach her knees acting strangely around her. I was quite sure that if something of this kind would happen again, she would probably be too annoyed to take its strength into account.

"Would you like to catch it?" I raised my head and looked jay, at Dragonite and at Natu again. Then I smiled and shook my head.

"I get a feeling Dragonite would like to face something that would be at least half as tall as her." I looked at Dragonite who seemed to straighten up a bit to make us see the difference in height between them. I smiled, I expected she would react this way that was mainly why I decided not to catch the Pokemon.

"I get a feeling Dragonite would like to face something at least half as tall as her," Ashe said. The Natu looked up at her, slightly startled, and took off towards the tree. It had disappeared among the undergrowth and twisted branches. "I think you may have insulted it" I said half-seriously. "Don't worry though. That Natu was just being over sensitive," I smiled.

"Let's move on," I suggested. The four of us began walking. "I really think you'll love The Stones. It's quite an amazing place. And, it's safe as long as you don't do anything foolish," I added after seeing the shocked look on her. As we progressed the grass grew longer and wilder and large, erratic stones began popping up all over the place.

"Maybe we should sit down to catch our breath," I panted, pointing at a large, bench-shaped stone. I walked over and threw my back pack onto the ground and sat down. Ashe sat down beside me. She looked wrecked aswell.

Suddenly, I got a really odd feeling and was forced into an uncontrolable shudder. I felt as though something was watching me. I spun around to see a peculiar Ghost type Pokemon staring at me with one big red, beady eye. I jumped back at the sight of the Dusclops.

"I don't suppose you want to battle it..." I trailed off, still staring at the sneaky Dusclops.

OOC: Do you know how did your change of username shock me?? I checked for about 100 times if I was looking at the right RP. XD

We were getting deeper and deeper into the dangerous part of Meteor Valley or at least Jay indirectly said so. I was really scared from the thought that we might encounter some dangerous Pokemon or that we may get into trouble. This and the fact that we were on move ever since we'd come to the park amde me feel really tired. Jay probably noticed it and pointed towards a stone that looked quite comfortable... for a stone. We sat down and after a while of thinking Dragonite did the same and she put her head on my shoulder. I petted and her despite the weight of her head I was really glad she wanted to rest this way. She was really cute as her antenae tried to find a comfortable position so that they wouldn't randomly shock me in case she'd fall asleep.

After a while of sitting and breathing the fresh air I noticed that Jay turned around and jumped up. I unintentionally did the same because when I turned around the first thing I saw was a giant red eye. The Pokemon was floating which meant it was a ghost type. Its hands looked as if they were prepared to attack us if we turned away for a second. Shocked Dragonite couldn't understand what was going on and why her head flew up without warning.

"I'm sorry Dragonite, it wasn't on purpose. I just overreacted when I saw this!" I knew that 'this' wasn't a proper name for the Pokemon but in the moment it was the only thing that came to my mind. I was still watching the thing as I was speaking with my Dragonite because I was afraid that it would attack us for real.

Dragonite looked the way I was pointing and jumped up just like the rest of us. I would find the whole scene funny if it didn't look so dangerous.

"I don't suppose you want to battle it..." Jay said and I felt as if he hoped we wouldn't want to battle it. I didn't want to because it gave me chills but since Dragonite wanted to face a strong oponent I looked at her asking her opinion. She shook her head in a really fast manner, she was obviously as stunned by the way we noticed Dusclops as me and Jay.

"No, we certainly don't." I answered Jay hoping that the thing would disappear rather sooner than later.

"No we certainly don't," Ashe said, still staring at the scary-looking Dusclops. The Dusclops turned around and faced her. It raised a cracked, grey finger and pointed up to the top of the hill. I saw a peculiar, star-shaped rock at the top, that I had never seen before. There was something about this rock that I couldn't quite put my finger on.

The Dusclops then turned it's attention to me. It placed it's freezing cold hand on my forehead and began muttering. Normally, I would have found this unusual and kind of creepy, but the Ghost type seemed to know what it was doing. Suddenly, it whipped back it's hand a cave a sinister cackle. It's body changed into a translucent colour, that was barely visible, and, with a crack like a whip, it disappeared.

"That was... odd," I said, feeling slightly unnerved. "Let's just move on. I'm pretty sure he wants us to head up that hill and go up to the star-shaped rock up there."

The four of us continued up the hill, haven barely spoken a word. I think we were all slightly creeped-out from our encounter with the spooky Dusclops. I noticed a small, navy cloak lying on the floor after having been wking for a few minuted. Ashe stooped down to pick it up and examine it, when it moved a few feet ahead, just out of her grasp. She walked ahead and tried again, and, like before, it moved ahead. Everyone was wondering what was going on when the silky cloak soared up into the air, spun around, and faced us. A seam ripped in the cloak creating two eyes and a mouth. It had yolk-yellow eyes that seemed to see right through me.

"Well, look's like it was a Shuppet and not a cloak afterall. Well, would you like to battle it?" I asked Ashe.

Dusclops looked at me with its piercing glare. For a second I thought that it got angry because I refused to fight it but then it suddenly pointed somewhere above us. At first I had slight trouble to see what was it pointing at but then I realised that there was a strange rock. It was shaped like a star and there was something strange about it but I couldn't describe the feeling I had. WHile I was fully focusing on the rock, Dusclops disappeared and I could hear a sigh of relief from my dragon type.

"That was... odd," Jay remarked looking more flustered than he wanted to. "Let's just move on. I'm pretty sure he wants us to head up that hill and go up to the star-shaped rock up there." Dusclops wanted us to go there for sure but the question was why. I wouldn't normally suspect Pokemon to do something evil but ghost types weren't normal Pokemon. Most of them were known for their evil doings and malicious nature. Purely meeting them had been rumored to bring some evil. I gave my Dragonite worried look and she rose her head high with a grin. She simply told me not to worry because she would protect me if needed. I had to smile because despite her pretended courage I could have seen a gleam of insecurity and caution in her eyes. She wanted to calm me down even though she herself was restless. Afterwards our silent conversation continued for some time as we walked up the hill towards the stone. I completely forgot about the meeting with Dusclops and my intention of confesing my fears to Jay.

We walked on a dusty and rocky path that was obviously created for people but not used otfen enough to look like a road. It was rocky with a few 'marks' and footprints that proved that wild Pokemon lived around. I started guessing which footprints belonged to which Pokemon but they seemed to be quite old and half of them wasn't possible to identify so I gave up. There was only a little of grass unlike the path we walked before. It seemed like a completely different part of park. The only thing that reminded me that we were still in Meteor Valley was the air. The mixture of smell of grass and stones was slightly different since there were more rocks but the basic feeling it gave me was the same.

Jay suddenly stopped and looked somewhere on the ground. I was a grey cloth and wondering what could it be I decided to pick it up. I slowly came closer to it because I didn't want to get attacked by some Pokemon that was underneath it. When I was about to grab it it suddenly moved. Now, I was sure that something was under it and I wanted to remove it so that we could battle. However, when I was about to pick it up again, the same thing as before repeated but this time it slowly flew up obviously wondering who dared to interrupt it in its slumber.

I smiled, the Pokemon looked really smart when it tried to camouflage itself this way. No one but humans would disturb it so it didn't have to fear any predators or anything else that could harm it. Maybe this wasn't the first time it did that that's why it looked so surprised. It didn't have expect humans to go along this path or to wake it up. It was another ghost type and it looked really small and fragile but nonetheless it seemed cute to me.

I could feel my dragon friend getting pumped up. This had been the first time she had faced a ghost type if I didn't count the meeting with the Dusclops since that was more creepy than exciting.

"Well, look's like it was a Shuppet and not a cloak afterall. Well, would you like to battle it?" I heard Jay asking behind me and as he finished the ghost's yellow eyes were trying to pierce through us to make him look scary but he seemed just cuter to me. I looked at my Dragonite who nodded before I was even able to ask the question.

"Seems like it's settled." I said to Jay as my Pokemon made a few steps ahead. "I don't think I have to tell you to go easy on it, it doesnt look too strong." I told to mz Dragonite who shook her head proving me that this was more like a game to her than a real fight.

"Alright, let's begin this with a gentle Thunderwave. Attack to counter Shuppet's first move." I knew that it was important to fight ghost type before it dematerializes and the best time for this was after its attack.

Dragonite bended a bit forwards aiming at the floating Pokemon with her antenae. They started shining light blue and one or two sparks flew between them. She was fully preparing to unleash her Thunderwave but also she spread her wings to be ready to fly up as soon as possible to dodge the attack of the Shuppet, then fly towards it and counter with her Thunderwave.
