"Seems like it's settled." Ashe said happily. "I don't think I have to tell you to go easy on it, it doesnt look too strong," she added, winking at her Dragonite, who was fluttering a little above the ground, watching the Ghost type with intrigue. I think that Dragonite had appreciated Shuppet's act of camouflage as she had a broad grin on her innocent orange face. Dragonite gave a sly smile after Ashe said this.

"Alright, let's begin this with a gentle Thunderwave. Attack to counter Shuppet's first move," Ashe said tactfully. I acknowledged this interesting attack. The plus side to it is that most trainers found it curtesy to allow the wild Pokemon to attack first and it also allowed the trainer to suss out what the Pokemon was like. On the downside, Ashe wouldn't have very long to choose a move. She would have to think on the spur of the moment. Hopefully she would be up for this.

Dragonite's antennae glowed a bright, serene, blue colour as electricity rippled though it. A few sparks spilled out, disappearing as they hit the air. Dragonie hovered forward a little bit as it waited for it's opponent to make it's move. Shuppet's piercing, yellow eyes glowed a dark crimson colour. Balls of flames burst into life at it's side. The flames changed colours continuosly. Yellow, then blue, then red. The embers encircled the Shuppet slowly, taunting the Dragonite. The Shuppet advanced suddenly Sending the balls of swirling fire towards Dragonite. The balls divided and surrounded the Dragonite, causing it's head to spin trying to follow the attack. Then, all at once, the flames closed in, joining together to form a net, trapping the Dragonite. Dragonite fired it's Thunder Wave then. The weak jolt of electricity shot through the air, before smacking into the Shuppet. The Shuppet twitched as the electricity made contact. Dragonite gave a wimper as it looked for a whole in the surrounding net of flames.

"Looks as though the Shuppet is tactful aswell," I mused. "It used it's Will o wisp attack to trap the Dragonite. It will be tough to escape the make-shift prison," I added.

Balls of fire flew towards Dragonite who was unsure whether ot watch them to fly up or shoot Thunderwave. I was really worried about her because I could have felt her insecurity and confusion. As they spread around her to create a fire prison she shot the Thunderwave at the ghost Pokemon and it shivered violently. It looked like Dragonite succeeded in the attack but after comparing the outcome of Dragonite's attack and Shuppet's attack it looked worse for my friend. She was surrounded by red flames and didn't know what to do. She was confusedly looking around her trying to find a way out but there was none.

"Don't worry, Dragonite, it will be alright!" I tried to calm her down but the situation was really complicated. I tried my best to find a way out of it so that Dragonite could cotinue battle as soon as possible. I knew Dragonite had one water move that might do wonders against her prison but on the other hand wasting move would give Shuppet more time for attack and hit her unprepared. Of course, Dragonite wouldn't get damaged much by Shuppets attack, she was too strong for that. However, giving him one move advantage at the very begining of the battle might turn to a big advantage at the very end.

The flames were close to Dragonite so that she couldn't move from the spot but far enough for her to move with her limbs. Aquatail could have been used easily and I was sure it would work perfectly. But that wasn't enough for me. I needed something that would show the Shuppet that it shouldn't underestimate us. I noticed Shuppet's glare. Its yellow eyes were shinning and I felt as if it was grinning although I wasn't sure if I had imagined it or not.

One idea that might work came to my mind but I wasn't sure if Dragonite would go along with it. She seemed stressed enough not to care about Shuppet's well being so much that she would get angry with me in cse it would do too much damage. Even if she would, the current situation was anything but good for her so making sure she'd be safe was worth the trouble I might get later.

"Dragonite, listen to me! You have to trust me! The most important thing, now, is to get rid of the Will-O-Whisp!" Dragonite looked my way nodding and hoping it would take as little time as possible.

"Try to move your wings." Dragonite did that and to my surprise it was possible only with slight limitations.

"Good, now, use a small Twister to suck the flames in, try to stand the heat." Dragonite started flapping her wings slowly to make sure she was safe and when she ensured herself of the space she sped up the pace. A small tornado started to appear in front of her. It was getting bigger and smaller and soon, the flames started flying towards it, into it and circling through it. It was perfect so far, of course she got it by a few flames but for her it wasn't even a scratch. The good thing was that most of them avoided her because they flew towards it in curves.

When it was finished it wasn't bigger than her and all the flames were still circling in it making her free just as I thought. Dragonite nearly closed her eyes because of the heat and I knew she couldn't hold much longer.

"Great work! Send it towards the Shuppet! Use Aquatail to cool you down afterwards." My cheering made her feel a bit better and with last and the strongest flap of her wings she send it flying towards her oponent. The giant fire tornado was making its way through the dusty ground making it dryer than before. The dust put off the lowest part of the tornado but the rest of it was fully burning.

As this was happening, Dragonite made a stream of water that appeared on the top of her tail circle around her whole body giving her her deserved rest from the heat. She then smashed it against herself enjoying the cold feeling the water gave her.

"Don't worry, Dragonite, it will be alright," Ashe said, trying to sooth the somewhat agitated Dragonite. She also looked rather worried, watching her Pokemon trapped in the cage of flames. "Dragonite, listen to me! You have to trust me! The most important thing, now, is to get rid of the Will-O-Wisp!" Ashe roared over the cackling Amber flames. Dragonite nodded and looked a little more relaxed, knowing that her master believed in her. These two had quite a strong bond. This was becoming more and more evident as the Park run progressed.

"Try to move your wings." Dragonite started flapping her great, broad wings slighrtly, careful not to brush off of the burning edges. She began to pick up speed, flapping her wings faster and faster. A small tornado whipped up just outside of the blazing cage. The tornado grew larger and larger until it was almost the size of Dragonite. Dragonite then relaxed a little, still maintaining the mini tornado. "Great work! Send it towards the Shuppet! Use Aquatail to cool you down afterwards," Ashe shouted. The flames began to quiver as the powerful wind started to suck it in, piece by piece. The majority of the smaller flames were quenched by the vicious wind, but the rest were sucked in, creating a flaming inferno. The vortex swirled and swirled, Dragonite braced itself as some of the flames licked at it's skin. Then, in a mighty whoosh the tornado headed towards the Shuppet.

The unsuspecting Shuppet backed out of the wayslightly, but it still felt the most part of the swirling, fiery tornado. Shuppet retreated a little backwards and shut it's eyes. At first I assumed it was in pain, but a black blob of energy materialised in front of it. The Shadow Ball grew larger as it sucked in shadows and darkness from around. The weakened Shuppet gave a gloating smile as it fired the Shadow Ball. The Shadow Ball hurtled through the air, until it reached the Dragonite and clipped it's wing, knocking it down to the ground. There was a loud cracking noise as the Dragonite hit the ground, but it didn't look too bad overall.

OOC: I can't believe I've written such a short post. The day was too busy and I was too tired afterwards.

Shuppet move slightly backwards and closed its eyes. I thought it was trying to come up with another plan but it was a step ahead of us. A small dark ball appeared in front of it. The ball was growing larger and larger as it sucked all shadows from rocks and bits of grass. It looked sinister and powerful. No wonder ghost types are considered to be the scariest Pokemon type, this Shuppet was obviously no exception. The Shuppet opened its eyes to look at us scornfully and gave a big grin that made me shiver.

Dragonite was stunned by the sight because she'd never seen a Shadow Ball before. After a while of preparing Shuppet shot the dark ball towards Dragonite. I wasn't surprised when the attack flew through air at a great speed and hit my Pokemon because she wasn't fully prepared for the attack. It send her flying backwards and she fell on the ground with a loud crash. The ground cracked but Dragonite stood back up after a while and shook her head to get back her focus. The move didn't do much damage and I knew Dragonite was ready for revenge. She was really fired up but I was sure she would still try not to hurt the Shuppet badly.

"Alright, Dragonite, use Agility to get as close to it as possible, then Wrap your tail around it and use Dragon Rage! You have to be fast, don’t forget it’s a ghost Pokemon." I shouted to Dragonite who was watching Shuppet's every move to make sure it wouldn't catch her unprepared again.

When I finished Dragonite spread her wings and disappeared to the sky leaving a thick cloud of dust behind her. When she was high enough, she promptly headed towards Shuppet in zig-zag so that he wouldn’t be able to predict from where she was about to attack. She was speeding up as she was getting closer and closer to it already planning how she grabs the Pokemon so that she would catch it off-guard. She knew she would have to act as fast as possible that's why she already started preparing a small ball of energy in her mouth having it slightly open. It was really small so she would have to make it bigger in a really short time. The ball in her mouth was glowing yellow as opposite to the ball Shuppet used. It looked as if small bolts of electricity were flying from it that might have been caused by the circling energy.

"Alright, Dragonite, use Agility to get as close to it as possible, then Wrap your tail around it and use Dragon Rage! You have to be fast, don’t forget it’s a ghost Pokemon,"Ashe shouted as she cunningly thought up her next strategy. After hearing her master's commands Dragonite took up into the clear sky above, going faster and faster, until it was little more than a speck in the brilliant, clear blue sky above. Dragonite began to spin around and around in circles above. The Shuppet watched it curiosly, awaiting the Dragonite to finish the the Agility attack and come down to continue the battle. The Dragonite appeared to look down as it awaited it's trainer 's command. I wasn't sure if Ashe noticed but the Dragonite took that to signal an all-clear sign and it tucked it's large wings in as it free falled to the ground at a frightening speed. The huge distance took a matter of seconds and as the Dragonite was almost at the Shuppet it opened it's mouth and blew a deep breath of a dark purple and blue swirling gas at the Shuppet. The gas billowed into Shuppet's face as Dragonite skidded to a halt. Shuppet looked quite hurt by this attack and less likely to be able to continue much more battling.

The Shuppet had a sinister and cunning look on it's face. It's yellow eyes narrowed and it opened it's tear of a mouth to expose a breath of it's air. A gust of cyan wind burst out of it's pitch black mouth hitting the Dragonite head first, sending a chill up it's spine and causing it to cringe as it felt it's speed fall and return to normal. The startled Dragonite shivered uncontrollably and retreated back to it's trainer, forgetting the last part of it's combo.

"I recommend attempting to catch the Shuppet now. It doesn't look fit for much more battling.

Shuppet's attack hit Dragonite directly and with full power. It looked really ugly when Dragonite flew backwards and hit the ground once again. She seemed to be in more of a shock than pain but the exhaustion she suffered in the past two battles got the best of her. She flew at full speed to me just as she used to when she was a Dratini and someone bullied her. I put my hand on her head, petted her and praised her.

"You did a great job. Shuppet is barely able to stand or float in its case." I smiled at her and I was truly proud of her.

"I recommend attempting to catch the Shuppet now. It doesn't look fit for much more battling."

Jay said and I could feel a bit of pressure from his words. He obviously didn't want me to hurt a wild Pokemon too much without a reason. But since Dragonite needed a break and a rest I decided to do as he said.

"Alright then, I hope it will be a catch." I said while I was taking out a Parkball from my bag. I came closer to Shuppet and prepared to try to catch my first Pokemon in Park. I hold my breath and I hoped that the ball wouldn't wiggle much to that I wouldn't suffocate. I came a bit closer to it and threw the ball. It flew towards the ghost type and after hitting its head the Pokemon disappeared into the ball with red flash.

"Alright then, I hope it will be a catch," Ashe said as she lobbed a Park Ball through the air. It sailed straight through the bright sky until it conked the Shuppet on the head, sucking it inwards in a glaring white light. The ball dropped too the floor where it proceeded to wiggle, once, twice, three times. Then, the Park Ball flashed red and binged, signalling a successful capture. "Congratulations," I beamed. "You have just caught your first Pokemon here at the National Park. It's my duty as ranger to mind this Pokemon until the end of the capture," I said, scooping up the still Pokeball and stowing it in my back pack.

"Let's head up the hill again," I beamed as I started walking up the steep hill, towards the star-shaped roc pointed out top us by the unnerving Dusclops. Golduck, Dragonite and Ashe followed me. We walked along enjoying the sights, until Dragonite began to growl viciously and Golduck began quacking loudly. "What's wrong?" I asked, but the Pokemon ignored us and continued acting unusual. Then, I began to hear what the Pokemon were hearing. There was a high-pitched wailing sound that began to give me a pounding headache. Ashe got it too and raised her hands to cover her ears. There was a squeel of malicious laughter as a shape popped out from behind a large, coarse grey rock. It had a small blue body with a yellow bulb on it's red-and-blue striped head. It had a long, swishing red-tipped blue tail.

"Looks as though that Chimecho is messing with us. Want to stay and fight or continue up the hill. I have a strange feeling something good is at the top of this hill."

The ball fell on the ground and started wiggling. It felt as if it was hours not seconds but Dragonite was rather indifferent to it. Probably because she was still tired. She was simply sittong on the ground and resting.

The ball stopped wiggling and flashed and binged. I was shocked, I really managed to catch my first pokemon in the park.

"Did you see it Dragonite?" I shouted at my friend but she didn't look much interested.

"It's all thanks to you!" She gave me a happy cry and continued ignoring everything around her. I didn't mind, I didn't have a reason for it, after all she deserved a break.

"Congratulations," Jay shouted happily. "You have just caught your first Pokemon here at the National Park. It's my duty as ranger to mind this Pokemon until the end of the capture,"

I just nodded I knew this would happen so I wasn't surprised. I was a little down that I couldn't hold the Parkball now but after the trip is over, I'd be able to play with the Shuppet everyday.

Jay advised that we should keep going and I couldn't but agree. Dragonite was still tired but when I asked her if she wanted to return to her Pokeball, she refused without a second thought. We continued towards the star-shaped rock. I was enjoying the surroundings. The path just got more rocky and dusty. There were less trees and the air slightly changed again. The view was amazing too. The vast plains of green everywhere you could see with some bits of brown like the one were on. The wind turned colder and gave me chills. I turned to my Pokemon and I realised that she was growling at something I wasn't able to see.

After a while I realised that it wasn't what they saw but what they heard that made her act strange. There was strange highpitched noise that was getting closer and closer. I had to cover my ears but I was still able to hear it.

"Looks as though that Chimecho is messing with us. Want to stay and fight or continue up the hill. I have a strange feeling something good is at the top of this hill." Jay yelled so that I would hear him through the noise. I didn't hear all of what he said but I was able to make it up.

I looked at Dragonite, she really didn't want to fight something with a noise advantage in her current condidtion.

"I think we can continue up." I shouted hoping Jay would hear me and do something about this prankster.

"I think we can continue up," Ashe shouted over the annoying ringing noise. We walked up past the mischievous Chimecho. It began shaking it's head, making more noises. "Shoo," I said blowing wind from my mouth at it. The weak, fragile Chinecho was pushed back and it's face contorted with rage. "Chime!" it hissed, before floating down the mountain again. "Some Pokemon," I muttered, concealing a sly smile, slightly glad we ran in to something unusual even though Hikaru didn't want to battle it. I started walking again and within seconds we were at the top of the mountain.

I strolled over to the star-shaped rock and stared at it with amazement. I ran my hand over it's smooth, cracked surface and smiled. There was something strange about this particular rock. The Dusclops had been right, there was definitely something magical about it. I found my eyes were transfixed to the stone. Ashe looked just as interested as I was and stared at it's strange shape. Then, I noticed a small, circular hole in the smooth surface. There was an odd inscription carved in around the gaping hole, that I had assumed were cracks beforehand. I ran my finger over the inscriptions and something extremely unusual happened. Wherever my finger touched turned a magestic blue colour. I followed the pattern slowly, watching it all illuminate until my hand drew to a conclusion as I finished drawing. The blue colour remained intact and the rock started to vibrate rapidly.

"Stand back!" I barked at Ashe. Her safety was my number one priority. Ashe took a step back as the rock split in half. Colourless smoke spilled out and then the two halves fell down, landing at the same time, causing the ground to tremble. Inside the broken rock a small stone lay on it's side. It had an odd purple tinge to it and it began making evil, cackling noises. A purple and indigo swirling gas began to pour out until it was about a metre above the rock, where it expanded and made a large shape. Bright, luminous green bubbles popped along the shape, one forming a carved mouth and two others creating vicious eyes.

"Spiritomb," the Spiritomb moaned after it's long slumber. "Do you want to battle it?" I asked. "It is an extremely rare Pokemon to find here."

Chimecho got probably insulted by my remark because it made the terrible sound stronger. My head terribly hurt and I felt as if it was about to blow up. Dragonite wasn't happy about the sound either. She was quite stressed and kept growling. Maybe it was so that she would block the sound but I don't think it worked because she was making a painful grimace. When I looked at Jay he was already on his way to the star-shaped stone once again. I decied to follow him in order to get out of reach from the noise but Chimecho didn't agree with that. It started moving its head to cause us more trouble. I noticed that Dragonite was really angry and I hoped Jay would do something before Dragonite does. She maybe doesn't like hurting other Pokemon but when she gets truly angry she doesn't care anymore.

I heard Jay saying something but he was too far and the noise was too big to hear it. However, it worked perfectly on Chimecho and there was finally silence. I thought I got deaf from the noise for a while but I realised that Chimecho was slowly going down the mountain. Its tail was slightly swinging from side to side as if it was offended and it kept repeating "Chime" in an angry manner. I was really glad when the cold breeze caught up with us and cooled us doown a bit. I smiled at Dragonite who obviously didn't understand what happened. In truth, neither did I but I was satisfied with the fact that nothing bad had happened.

"Some Pokemon," Jay said and I thought I had felt something like satisfaction frrom his voice but it seemed too strange so I discarded that thought as stupid. After a few minutes were finally reached the top with the strange star-like rock. We came close to it because we were both curious. Jay touched it and looked amazed so I did that same. It really felt strange as if there was some inhuman energy hidden in the stone. I quickly put my hand away so that Jay wasn't able to see it. I was quite sure it wasn't the right thing to do but this stone hypnotised me so I simply had to.

I ran along the shape with my eyes. It was surely extraordinary stone. It was shaped perfectly as if it was carved but on the other hand it didn't looke as if it was made by a human. While I was fully focusing on the stone, Jay discovered something in the middle. When I looked at it from afar it looked just like ordinary cracks but when Jay moved his hand through it it started shining bright blue. I was watching him as he was following the cracks, which, as I later realised, was actually an inscription of some kind.

When Jay finished something strange and unexpected happened. The rock started to move as if it was about to explode. I cowardly made a few steps back and made sure that Dragonite wasn't aynwhere close to it.

"Stand back!" Jay yelled but he didn't have to say it. I already knew that this looked like aynthing but safe. However, just in case I made a few more steps back. Suddenly the rock got cut in half and some strange mist appeared. The huge rocks caused the ground to shake when it made contact with it.

Afterwards, violet and indigo gas poured out and strated creating a shpere. It was really creepy and I felt as if I was in some kind of a horror film. The gas was circling in the ball and something like green eyes poped up in front of us on the ball of gass.

"Spiritomb," The Pokemon said as if it was trying to introduce itself to us. I felt both excited and scared. I hadn't expected this when I was preparing for the park. If I had I would bring extra underwear or at least some hot tea to make me feel better after encounters of this kind. It was a bit too much for me to have so many encounters that were aynthing but nromal. Where were the times when Pokemon simply jumped from grass at you? Why do they have to appear from a strange star-shaped rock in a lot of gas? Can't they simply come, shake my hand and ask me to let them join my team? But I guessed that would have been way too easy and less fun.

"Do you want to battle it?" Jay asked. "It is an extremely rare Pokemon to find here."

I looked at my Dragonite. Finally an oponent that didn't completely scare us yet looked strong. She was a bit afraid but I smiled at her. I knew that it was a lot easier for me since I wasn't fighting it but I believed in her and I knew she could do it. I asked her the same questiona s Jay asked me and awaited her reaction. She was the one fighting so in case we came across a scary or powerful oponent I wanted the decision to be hers. It would be unfair of me as a trainer to ask her to do something she doesn't want just because I knew she would have to do it anyway. I watched the ghost Pokemon as the gas was moving in different directions and as the green eyes were jumping from me to Jay to Dragonite and to Golduck. It was obviously unsure about its oponent at first. Dragonite wanted to make it clear so she made a few steps forwards and spread her wings. She let me know by this that she was fully prepared for the battle. I knew I should have made sure that she was it top condition before starting the battle but I had a few trick planned for this occasion.

"I think we can give it a try." I replied to Jay awaiting Spiritomb's first move.

"I think we can give it a try," Ashe said catiously as Dragonite advanced. It swung it's mighty orange tail to and fro in anticipation. Like before, it was letting the opponent move first, a very courteous act in Pokemon battles. Spiritomb, on the other hand, wasn't so mannerly and it's strange, pointed lime green eyes narrowed as it's mind filled with nasty thoughts. A jagged smile stretched across it's swirling body. I wasn't quite sure what it was thinking but I'd seen Pokemon act similarly before and I knew it was performing it's Nasty Plot attack. It was, without a doubt, thinking of nasty, vile and corrupt strategies to take out the Dragonite. It clearly didn't care if it fought dirty as long as it got the job done.

After a few seconds it looked a lot more sinister than before. It's tough face relaxed slightly as it knew that it had the edge. Dragonite watched in intrigue. I got the feeling that the Dragon type had never seen this move performed before and that the Spiritom was merely pulling faces. As if in retalliation, Dragonite screwed up it's face. It's pupils danced around in it's eyes wildly and a sly pink tongue poked out of it's wide mouth. Spiritomb looked quite startled and retreated a fewsteps before hissing. Three luminous multi-coloured balls of energy materialised around the Spiritomb, spinning around it's head, slowly circling the dual Dark and Ghost type. The spheres of ever-changing colour advanced on the Dragonite.

"Now is your time to try and dodge the attack," I said to Ashe. "Be careful as Spiritomb are very cunning Pokemon," I added, hoping to help Ashe in this oncoming battle.

Spiritomb made a strange girmace. It nearly closed its eyes and gave Dragonite an evil and vile grin that gave me chills. The colour of its eyes and mouth made it a lot scarier than it sounded. Suddenly the grin was slowly getting bigger and soon it was stretching from one side of its body to the other. Dragonite looked at me confused, not sure what should she think. I had a lot of time to call an attack but I didn't because I wasn't sure if this strange performance was even an attack.

After a while it closed its eyes and mouth as if it suddenly fell to sleep. I was wondering what was it planning to do next but then something strange happened when Spiritomb opened its eyes once again. Dragonite probably thought it was funny and deicded to follow its example in doing the same. It made a really silly face, at first she stick out her tongue, then she started swirling her eyes and after a while she pulled side of her mouth stretching it. Spiritomb's eyes changed nearly into a circle and popped at the sight. It was blinking for a while but when it noticed that Dragonite chuckled at her own grimace it got angry. Its bright green eyes became brighter and it frowned. The violet gass started circling faster and strange dark energy appeared around it.

"Spiritomb!" Dragonite moved a few steps backwards when the cold and creepy voice sounded around us. She looked really upset and didn't know whether to run or stay there but since she was loyal and I didn't say anything about retreating without a reason, she decided to stay. I was a bit startlet by the anger of Spiritomb too but I still smiled when Dragonite was willing to fight. She moved she tail swiftly from side to side as if she was trying to keep her cool that way. She fully focused on Spiritomb and watched as the floating ball of gas finally started attacking.

Three balls of light appeared around Spiritomb and started circling around it. It looked as if it was trying to attack at the best time so that it would be unexpected. The balls, unlike Spiritomb, were motionless inside. There was no circling gas or aynthing of that kind. They were simply balls of energy and I had to admit that despite Spiritomb being our oponent, it looked really appealing because it was a perfect contrast to its body and evil glare. Soon afterwards, the balls started slowly spinning around the Pokemon that summoned them making me realise that it was preparing on casting them. The balls were rapidly changing colours, making Spiritomb look like some kind of center of a rainbow.

One after another were leaving their 'orbit' heading towards Dragonite. They were speading up really quickly so I knew I didn't have much time to tell Dragonite what to do.

"Now is your time to try and dodge the attack. Be careful as Spiritomb are very cunning Pokemon," Jay told me obviously fearing that Spiritomb would overdo it and he would have to intervene.

"Don't worry Jay, I'll do my best," I replied because it was the only thing I could have told him at that time. I knew really good that this attack would make Dragonite confused and that could affect the battle a lot. But I also knew that Dragonite was too tired from the previous two battles to be able to both dodge and counter. I didn't want her to be hurt too much or to faint so it was my priority to make her heal herself. She knew a perfect move for that and it looked like this was the best time to use it.

Dragonite's condition worried me more than the fact that after she faints, I would have only one Pokemon capable of battling. The reason was simple, Torterra is strong enough to cope with many blows and was able to battle for longer time than Dragonite. Of course that Dragonite was better suited for my style of battling as Torterra was a lot slower and tended to do more damage than I wanted. Torterra was still good enough to help me finish the trip even if Dragonite was to faint. I just didn't want Dragonite to be hurt too much.

"Alright, Dragonite, use Agility to avoid the balls of light and then use Roost to heal yourself!" Dragonite nodded in agreement, she was obviously glad I didn't want her to attack but I wanted her to get better instead. She spread her wings and flew towards the attack. It looked strange but we both knew that it was a lot better than trying to fly away from them since it is more easier to directly follow the tager than to turn around and follow it. I hoped the balls would disappear after she did this because they would lack the energy to turn and follow her.

She was suppsoed to do Roost after wards which is quite a strange move. Usually when she does it, she flies to the sky, because she feels there the best and curl. She usually moved her kness to her chest and hugged them with her legs. Strange transparent energy in a shape of egg appeared around her and covered her completely. She then rested there until she recovered a bit recalling the feeling of being as egg in her parents' nest. She always lets me know that it was a warm and safe feeling. After she was feeling better, she spread out her arms and legs breaking the energy that turned into dust flying all around the place then returned to her coverinf her body for a while and protecting her form the damage caused by her weaknss to some types of attacks.

However, we were training it without rush and outside of battle. This was different because she didn't have much time to do it. She had to do it quickly and without a mistake because she wasn't in the condition to fight.

"Don't worry Jay, I'll do my best," Ashe shouted over as she began working on a strategy to overcome the clever Spiritomb. I could tell she was seriously mulling over the current situation and the negative outcome of the Confuse Ray attack. She will have to hurry up if she still wants to attempt and dodge it, I thought as I watched the slowly encroaching radiant balls of light. "Alright, Dragonite, use Agility to avoid the balls of light and then use Roost to heal yourself!" Ashe said as her Dragonite payed attention. Dragonite closed her eyes and glowed a faint blue colour before darting forward in a burst of speed, leaving the oncoming sinister balls of light trailing behind. Dragonite paused and looked back as she rose higher and higher into the air. The Confuse Ray attack flickered before dying out at the Spiritomb's command. Spiritomb rushed forwards as Dragonite curled up into a tight ball, shielding it's most vulnerable parts, such as it's underbelly from harm. Dragonite closed it's eyes as it's wing fluttered gently, focusing on recovering some health.

Spiritomb didn't like this one bit and it's pointed mouth arched open wide as a icy cold gust of wind blew out. The freezing wind blew up towards the Dragonite by a makeshift wind before striking the Dragonite, who shivered as the chill tingled at her spine. "Nite, nite," she moaned until she could no longer tak the freezing draft of wind and tore downwards, out of the Spiritomb's range. Dragonite had lost the boost in speed thanks to Icy Wind's secondary effect so it was slower descending to the ground. However, it had still recovered some health and looked a lot better than before. Spiritomb slowly advanced, awaiting the opponent's move.

OOC: DON'T KILL ME!! I promise next post will be about 3k. Or close to it. Or at least about 4k. XD

After Dragonite succeeded in dodging the attack, she wanted to finish her turn with Roost. She flew up high to the sky and curled to defend herself from hurting weak spots. A thin shell of light blue energy that shaped itself around her into an egg. Dragonite closed her eyes and did her best to hurry the recovering process so that Spiritomb wouldn't get chance of attacking her unprepared. However, the exact opposite happened. Spiritomb probably felt insulted by the way she avoided its attack and so it decided to hurt Dragonite whatever it would cost.

It figured out that Dragonite was about to contiue the battle in full health and tried to stop it. Dragontie wasn't done healing, when Spiritomb opened its mouth as much as it was possible and prepared for an attack. Its bright green mouth was now fully visible and it looked as if it wanted to eat her. I was worried about Dragonite but I knew that I had to trust her because calling at her now would mean finishing the healing process too soon and Dragonite would still not be able to properly avoid the ghost type's attack.

I hoped it wouldn't be something strong. After all, I was aware that this was only my mistake. I should have thought of this possibility before ordering it. It was way too dangerous for my friend to heal and become an easy target for the wild Pokemon.

Spiritomb blew a strong wind from its mouth adn it wasn't hard to guess that the wind was anything but pleasant. The wind quickly got to Dragonite and I was able to feel her shock when she moaned as the wind hit her. After a while of fighting against it, she gave up and flew down. I knew she lost her balance and since she didn't have much time it was the easiest thing to do. She flew to me and panted a bit. I patted her on her ehad and praised her. She looked better than before but the damage she got was great. I knew she wouldn't be able to take much more of hits like that. I also kenw I had to make her fully recovered if I wanted to continued the battle with her. I didn't want to send Torterra in because she was weaker to ice type attacks than Dragonite.

Spiritomb came closer to us in a creepy manner that was supposed to intimidate us. It obviously saw what damage it did to Dragonite and maybe it wanted to have a good and fair battle so it gave Dragonite time to make her move. I had to admit that not only was thing Pokemon clever but also courteous. I appreciated it and decided to use it to my advantage. I wanted to make it see that it shouldn't underestimate us despite our disadvantage. Dragonite was soon up, prepared for another part of the battle. She expected me to order her some powerful attack but I wanted to go with something that would both surprise and interest the half ghost type. I wanted it to realise that we were worthy oponents.

"Listen, Dragonite, you need to hit it with all you've got. We can't risk that Spiritomb would hit you with that attack once more in your current condition. It could get really bad for us if it did." Dragonite was a bit surprised by my decision but agreed to it. She was obviously bothered by the last move that was used against her and so she wanted to finish the battle as soon as possible.

"Don't worry, it will be all alright. Just don't hold back because this Pokemon is capable of abusing even the slightest hint of hesitation." I said to Dragonite and couldn't feel getting excited. I knew it wasn't as nice to my Pokemon and I felt bad for it even though I couldn't help thinking that Spiritomb was really something worth fighting.

"You'll do it this way. At first you combine Twister and Thunderwave. When it hits, Spiritomb will be stunned for a while by the attack and you'll use that to hit it once more with Dragon Rush." Dragonite seemingly liked this idea. I hoped it would work without Spiritomb countering. But I didn't expect it to stand on one place and wait for the tornado to come to him either. I abused the fact that it was made from gas and I thought it would make it harder for Spiritomb to fly away from the wind. Spiritomb smirked, it obiously didn't find my strategy anything extraordinary or surprising.

"Make it big so that it would be strong." Dragonite was already flapping her wings to create Twister when I said it. She kept speeding up her flapping and the tornado grew bigger. The wind was really strong and it was pulling me towards it. I had to use all of my power to stand on one place. When it was about to be ready, Dragonite's anteannae begun glowing light blue. There were more and more sparks flying around it so it looked as if her head was glowing. It was hard to look there so I knew Dragonite put everything into it. Soon a light blue beam of electricity shot form her antennae towards the Twister and it started circling in it. Dragonite made last strong flap and she sent the wind towards Spiritomb. The wind was quite loud and I was sure Spiritomb wasn't able to hear what I said so I used this opportunity to change my orders.

"When it hits Spiritomb, it will wait there for your Dragon Rush. Use that time to heal and do it fast so it won't be able to attack. Don't fly up and don't close your eyes. If you notice one suspicious move, dodge it Agility and forget about recovering." Dragonite was honestly surprised when I said this and turned to me in confusion. I just smiled and Dragonite nodded happily. It was certainly a big change in my strategy but I saw no other way to win against Spiritomb.

The giant and strong electric Twister looked really horrifying and it headed towards the half ghost Pokemon, the electricity made contact with everything around. We had used a similiar combination before but there was nothing better for covering a sneaky strategy than this. And there was still chance that it would paralyze Spiritomb if it hits so Dragonite would get more time to heal and be able to fight again.

"Listen, Dragonite, you need to hit it with all you've got. We can't risk that Spiritomb would hit you with that attack once more in your current condition. It could get really bad for us if it did," Ashe said, caring for her Pokemon. Dragonite looked a little ataken back by this, but nodded firmly, still willing to go by what her master commanded. It was clear to me as a ranger that she was obviously bothered by the last move that was used against her and so she wanted to finish the battle as soon as possible.

"Don't worry, it will be all alright. Just don't hold back because this Pokemon is capable of abusing even the slightest hint of hesitation,"Ashe added, clearly catching on to the Spiritomb's cunning.

"You'll do it this way. At first you combine Twister and Thunderwave. When it hits, Spiritomb will be stunned for a while by the attack and you'll use that to hit it once more with Dragon Rush."

Dragonite smiled at Ashe as she began beating her wings powerfully. A small gust of wind began to pick up, which DDragonite tactfully chanelled into a small tornado. The wind whipped around and around in circles, steadily growing larger as Dragonite's dark orange antennae started to glow a magestic blue colour. Blue sparks formed and started leaping from one antenna to the other, as Dragonite braced itself. Dragonite gave out a weak cry as a jolt of electricity hit the small tornado. The tornado flashed a dangerous blue colour momentarily as the electricity rippled through it. Dragonite beat her wings one final time and the hurricane shot towards the Spiritomb.

Spiritomb merely grimaced at the sight before giving us a horrific smile. It stood stock still as the tornado ripped at it's gaseous body and the sparks of electricity shot into it. Spiritomb pulled a face but looked quite unharmed by the attack. Dragonite arched it's back upright, in preparation for her attack. Her wings slowed down a little and she licked her lips tentatively. But, just as she was prepared to swoop down and strike with her sharp claws a dark fists, made entirely of gas, materialised and solidified. The fist rammed into the Dragonite's mouth, sending spit flying out as her head snapped in the direction of the blow. Spiritomb cackled evilly as it twitched when a jolt of electricity shocked him.

Dragonite got hit really hard by the move. It threw her backwards and she made a somersault in the air. She was confused for a while but she quickly recovered, luckily, before she hit the ground. She flapped her wings right above the scary looking rocks to keep herself in the air. It would have been really ugly if she hit them. After correcting her ballance, she flew up high to the sky awaiting my next order. She wanted to make sure that whatever would Spiritomb do, it wouldn't hit her, that's why she wanted to keep distance form it.

Spiritomb was obviously enjoying it and it was less the a game for it. It made me both angry and aware of its real power. Maybe it was better if it underestimated us because it wouldn't use its full power against us. Also it would give Dragonite more time to get better and it could create an openning for hitting Spiritomb really hard. On the otehre hand it would put us on a disadvantage because it would mean that Dragonite would have to get a few hits from Spiritomb. This strategy wasn't bad against a strong oponent, but I didn't want my Dragonite to suffer for no reason, especially in this condition.

"Dragonite, come here!" I shouted at my Pokemon who swiftly turned to me, still watching her oponent, and landed next to me. I called her because I didn't want Spiritomb to overhear our conversation.

"Listen up," I tried to speak as quietly as possible, she even had to move a bit closer to me to hear. "Seems like we'll have to attack from afar if we don't want it to counter attack," Dragonite nodded, obviously thinking the same thing. "First, use Agility to fly around it so that it won't be able to attack. When it will lose the sight of you, use Thunderwave. It should stun him for a while. Use the time to fly up and show it what does rage of a dragon feel like!" Dragonite gave me a loud cry approving of my plan.
"Just don't forget to keep your distance, don't get too close and try to be as fast as possible."

Dragonite nodded and she briskly headed towards the half ghost type. She flew towards it as a great speed when she was close to it she took a sudden turn. She was circling around it taking sudden turns and waiting for the right moment to start her attacking. Her antenae started glowing bright blue with some sparks of the same colour flying from them.

If everything went according to plan, she would use Thunderwave on Spiritomb that would take it as a surprise, stunning it for a while. This should give her enough time for Dragon Rage. While Spiritomb will be stunned and unable to do anyhting, Dragonite would fly up. Creating, at first, a small ball of blue energy, that would later grow into a bigger one and unleashing it on the stunned Spiritomb would be the last part of the strategy. I hoped it would work out right.

Dragonite seemed to take the attack rather well. Although she had momentarily lost her balance and somersaulted through the air for a bit, she still managed to end the attack with grace. Her broad wings extended and she hovered back into an upright position, mere metres from the ground. Her wings folded as Ashe summoned her over, before darting towards her master. Ashe whispered something I couldn't quite make out into her perked up ears. Spiritomb watched, trying to read her lips, but it's face looked confused so I knew it was safe to assume this Spiritomb couldn't read lips too well.

Dragonite stopped crouching suddenly and straightened up. She gave a fierce roar before flying upwards, getting faster and faster. She approached the calm Spiritomb and began doing circles around the dual Drak/Ghost type. Spiritomb's head bent around unnaturally, following Dragonite with an icy stare. Suddenly, a jolt of blue sparks shot out of Dragonite's antennae, straight into the Spiritomb. Spiritomb shook it's gaseous body before returning to normal. Although, it looked as though it was paralyzed. Dragonite opened her mouth, revealing a ball of blue flames. Dragonite lunged forward, firing the flames at the slower Spiritomb. The flames envelloped it's body before disappearing. Spiritomb looked a little hurt, but shrugged off the majority of the damage.

Three balls of crimson-red flames materialised beside the Spiritomb as Spiritomb prepared it's Will o wisp attack. "Tommb, tomb, spiri!" it roared as the three swirling balls crashed into the Dragonite. Dragonite flinched on the impact and her tough skin looked a little bruised. It looked as though she was burned.

Dragon Rage hit Spiritomb in full power. Unfortunatelly, it damaged it less then I thought it would. As if it wasn't enough, Spiritomb was already preparing for counter attack. Three yellow balls of energy appeared around it, moving slowly in a circle around it. They started changing colours as they moved faster and faster. Spiritomb's eyes were glowing bright green and it was slowly preparing to unleash its attack. It nearly closed it eyes, then opoened them again and released the balls from their invisible prison. They flew towards Dragonite at a great speed, not giving her any chance to escape. My dragon type couldn't do much about it and even if she tried to dodge, it would simply chase her. Spiritomb was in way better condition, so it was obvious that its attacks would be a lot faster than Dragonite's.

The balls at first flew to Dragonite forming a circle around her but they weren't moving. It was as if Spiritomb was enjoying every second of this and it wanted to make it more entertaining. Dragonite was clearly shocked and confused by this. Suddenly, the balls hit Dragonite all at the same time. Dragonite was engulfed in a dark red fire that looked like anything but fun for her. She let out a loud cry of pain as the evil flames licked her body. She started moving violently to escape the flame but there was no helping it. I felt really sorry for her because I knew this would do a lot more damage later.

My next plan was set. Dragonite needed healing and I didn't want to waste any second. However, I needed a good plan so that Spiritomb wouldn't interrupt it and it wouldn't go to waste.

"If only I could make Dragonite invisible for a while." I was thinking out loud and it gave me an idea.

"Dragonite, use Safeguard and Fly between the clouds. Use Roost afterwards but keep the Safeguard up so that it wouldn't disappear." Dragonite obviously didn't inderstand what I was planning. It was simple. Safeguard would give Dragonite a light blue shpere like shield. It was clearly visible down because of the glitering but if she did what I said right where she was floating, above Spiritomb, the sun would cover the glitter and because of the colour Dragonite would disappear between the clouds.

Dragonite curled and she started glowing light blue. She was storing the energy needed to release Safeguard. She was making a gentle sound, something between growling and moaning during the process. However, when she spread her limbs and released the energy, she did so with a loud cry. A giant, nearly sphere like shield engulfed her, moving slightly round her. It was light blue and slightly glittering just as I thought. It moved with her when she headed for the clouds to finish her turn.

Dragonite's body began to glow a blue colour as it readied itsself for it's Safegaurd. It made a soft, soothing noise as it prepared itself and then, in an instant, it flew straight up into the air. It's wings arched backwards as it flew, higher and higher. The Safegaurd was a good idea as it prevented Dragonite from momentarily feeling the effects of burn and loosing health, or, even worse, halving it's attacking power which was also an unwanted side effect.

Dragonite reached the cloud layer above and disappeared among the clouds. Occasionaly I would see flashes of orange as it flew by above. Dragonite seemed to stop leading me to assume that it was Roosting now, in the clouds.Spiritomb looked annoyed at this and opened it's mouth, revealing a small sphere of yelow electricity. It made a hacking noise as it spat out the Shock Wave. The attack rippled through the air, flying in different directions. Occasionly stopping and turning the complete opposite direction, hunting down the Dragonite. It disappeared in the cloud brea and a moment later I hear a startled cry. The attack wasn't overly powerful, but it would stop Dragonite uusing Roost. She flew down from above, looking more replenished than before. Spiritomb scowled at the Dragonite, jealous of it's healing powers.

Spiritomb was obviously confused by Dragonite's actions. It wasn't able to see her among the clouds so it couldn't attack directly. I hoped it would give up and wait for Dragonite to reappear but it didn't. Spiritomb frowned and it's eyes started shining. It opened its mouth wide and revealed a ball of electricity. The ball slowly came out of its mouth and grew bigger. The move was released by Spiritomb’s mouth closing. It looked as if the ball didn’t know where to go and what to do. It looked rather funny as it was flying on the sky from one place to another. Spiritomb was getting angry and the Shock Wave that flew all around the sky just to find Dragonite was slowly getting more aggressive. It was obviously a response to the anger of its user. The small bolts that were jumping from the ball were getting faster and bigger. They also looked scarier than before but maybe it was just my imagination. It took some time for it to succeed in looking for Dragonite but in the end it did. It didn't do much damage to my Pokemon but it forced her to finish healing and return to battle. She looked a lot better than before and she was also more eager to fight the Pokemon. I was glad because it meant that she would hold back less than usually.

Spiritomb looked quite angry when it noticed how Dragonite's health improved and I realised that she couldn't heal so much now. It was damgerous to piss off Spiritomb and I knew it. After all, Spiritomb had no weakness and I wasn't sure what to do now. Dragonite had Outrage but I saw that as the last resort not as a move I would use in the middle of a battle. She had plenty of powerful moves but I wasn't sure if they were useful. Also I wanted to do something that would give Dragonite an advantage but I couldn't think of anything. Meanwhile, Dragonite returned to my side prepared for another round. I looked at her hoping her face would give me an idea but it didn’t help. On top she seemed to be unsure about what to do too so asking would be pointless. She was intently staring at Spiritomb as if she was trying to hypnotise it not to move.

"Let's stick with attacking to show out ghost friend that we're not as weak as it thinks." I couldn't think of anything else and I didn't want to waste the time by thinking and give the Spiritomb the chance to attack. I wanted to give him a slight disadvantage and even though I wasn't quite happy do to so, I decided to use Leer for that.

"First, use Agility combined with Dragon Rush to make the impact stronger. Then, before you hit it, use Leer to make it a bit scared of you. Hopefully, it will stop showing off afterwards." Dragonite nearly giggled but did her best to hide it not to piss off the Spiritomb even more than it already was. She spread her wings and flew up quite fast, leaving only a could of dust behind her. I was prepared for this so I had already covered my face when she did it. When she was high enough, she shot herself at Spiritomb taking sudden turns so that her oponent wouldn't be able to tell form where she was about to attack. She was flying all around the place so that she would have enough time to fully prepare. After a while, when she gained a great speed her body started glowing light blue. An orb of energy started shaping around her and leaving a trail of energy behind her making her look like a comet. It looked really powwerful, not to mention when she used Leer. Her eyes started glowing deep red combined with the light blue around her it made a lot of impression on everyone there. The only thing left was to aim the attack on Spiritomb. Dragonite turned to it with her eyes still glowing red fully prepared to hit it.
