"Chimchar, come back for a moment and wait!" Joe ordered. Chimchar quickly retreated back and stood in front of Joe waiting for the next command. Joe fished around in his pocket and withdrew a small red and white Pokeball and threw it into the air. The ball flew through the air and erupted open, creating a sudden white flash. A small Acorn emerged from the light and landed on the floor. In all his years of rangering, Alex had never seen a Seedot used in the park. It's two huge bold eyes bulged outwards and the small Acorn Pokemon leaped into the air, glad it was finally out of its Pokeball.

"Seedot, you come out and use Sunny Day, then switch with Chimchar, who'll use Flame Wheel!" Joe commanded. Alex had to give it to him, it was a good way to deal with the rain, and also the sun would boost Chimchar's fire attacks. Seedot nodded in agreement and opened its small mouth, producing a small orange orb. Like the orb produced by Swinub, the orange orb suddenly increased as Seedot was feeding it energy. The orb increased in size and moments later, Seedot fired the orb into the dark clouds above. The orb disappeared from sight, however soon the clouds parted; revealing the sun which shone down on the battle field. Alex was thankful the rain had stopped and turned and watched as Swinub started to leap up and down. As Swinub started to bounce up and down, the rocks on the top of the cliff started to move, slowly moving closer to the edge. Then the Swinub quickly ran towards the cliff face and rammed its head into the side, sending the rocks crashing down towards Seedot. The rocks tumbled down and sent Seedot flying towards Alex. Alex quickly reacted and held out his hands, catching the flying Acorn Pokemon. He placed him down beside Joe and watched as Chimchar and Seedot exchanged a small tap. Chimchar quickly ran towards Swinub and started to engulf himself with flames. He leaped into the air and tucked his legs into his stomach and started to rotate in the air. The sun's rays suddenly enhanced the sheer power of the flames and now Chimchar was falling down towards Swinub. Chimchar crashed into Swinub and quickly jumped back. Swimub slowly got back up onto her feet and looked at Chimchar, staring the Fire Pokemon in the eyes.

Then Swinub slammed her feet on the ground, creating a huge force surging through the ground. The force sent Chimchar flying in the air and crashing into the ground, metres away from Joe. The force continued and was directly on route to crash into the Joe and Alex. Alex quickly removed a small PokeBall from his belt and threw it into the air. The ball burst open and a shadow Pokemon landed on the floor. Alex quickly looked at Gengar and commanded, "Gengar, use Reflect!" Gengar quickly raised his hand and summoned a light blue shield around the trainers. The force crashed into the barrier and was absorbed by the barriers energy. Gengar slowly raised his hands and returned to Alex. Alex looked down at the Ghost Pokemon and replied, "Well Done, you can return to your Pokeball." He held his ball pointing towards Gengar and pressed the button on the front, returning the Pokemon to its ball.

He turned around and looked at the Swinub and started to worry for Joe. Swinub had access to a very destructive move which could change the battle completely.

    Re: Individual RP: BlazeMaster

The orb fired itself high into the sky, exploding and sending the clouds scurrying back. The Sun shone through even brighter than before and the puddles were already starting to dissipate. I didn't have time to celebrate, however, as soon Swinub started to beat her feet on the ground, rumbling the earth and sending pebbles trickling down the mountainside. Suddenly I realised what was about to happen. The Swinub rammed her head against the clifface and huge boulders tumbled down the mountainside as Swinub unleashed her powerful Rock Slide attack. It was amazing that the same Pokemon that had struggled to move the boulders could send such a powerful force falling down the mountainside. Marvelling at her power, my determination to capture such a powerful Pokemon was increased. The boulders crashed into Seedot and sent the Acorn Pokemon flying. I breathed a sigh of relief as Alex caught the tiny Pokemon. I should thank him later.

Chimchar came rushing out, engulfed in a wheel of flame. The disc of flame rolled towards Swinub, striking her hard, the move increased with the power of Sunny Day. He jumped back, looking satisfied and energised. I waited. Chimchar and Swinub both stared at each other. Swinub, with a glimmer in her eye, slammed her feet down on the ground, sending out a huge shockwave through the earth. I cursed myself. Swinub was half ground as well as Ice. Chimchar was thrown backwards and the shockwave started to approach us. However, Alex threw a Poke Ball into the air. A shadow came out and formed itself into a Gengar. The Pokemon used a Reflect attack and the shockwave bounced back. Once again I had to thank Alex.

I had to think. This battle could soon be over if I did nothing. I had to think. Swinub seemed quite resilient so most attacks would just bounce off him. I had one more trick up my sleeve, however. I would not fail.
"Chimchar, use Flamethrower!" I shouted to my partner.
Chimchar gathered a ball of fire in his mouth. Swinub looked on, amazed. I would show that Pokemon not to mess with my Pokemon again. It was strong, I admitted to myself, but it could fall, just like Machop. I took my coat off, Mt. Oktori was heating under the intensified Sun. Guess that's global warming for you. Chimchar shot out a jet of flame. What would happen next?

"Chimchar, use Flamethrower!" Joe commanded to his Pokemon.

Chimchar opened its small mouth and started to gather energy. Alex knew that Flamethrower was a powerful move and with the sun’s power, Flamethrower was a move not to be messed around with. Alex turned around and looked over to the Swinub and noticed that it was preparing an attack. Chimchar noticed this and quickly fired off the attack, hoping to catch the Swinub off guard. Fire blasted out from the small fire chimp’s mouth and sent spiralling towards Swinub. The sun’s rays intensified the power of the attack, and the flames ignited. Alex quickly shielded his eyes from the sheer heat being expelled from the attack.

However Swinub had a quick idea and quickly fired a small pink orb a couple of metres ahead of him. As the orb left the mouth of Swinub, it expanded and formed into a large translucent barrier. The flames bombarded against the shield, trying to reach the Pokemon. After seconds of withstanding the heat, the shield broke and the rest of the flames cascaded towards Swinub. Swinub embraced himself and took the attack.

“That’s one smart Swinub. It used Light Screen just before the attack was about to hit, causing the power of the attack to decrease.” Alex said out loud. Sometimes he wished he was able to battle wild Pokemon while taking people on adventures or claiming the Pokemon people didn’t want to battle. Swinub slowly got back onto its feet and looked at Chimchar. The sun was still shinning down harshly and it looked like Swinub would only be able to withstand a couple more attacks.

The jet of flame shot towards Swinub, flaring out as the Sun intensified it. It looked like it would hit Swinub square on, it could deal a great deal of damage. The flames lit up the battlefield, spiralling to a magnificent power. At the last moment Swinub formed a rose coloured orb in her mouth. The orb grew and shot out of Swinub's mouth, expanding to form a translucent shield. The barrier collided against the strengthenned Flamethrower attack, holding against the force. Please break I thought desperately.

The Light Screen suddenly shattered into a thousand transluscent pieces which in turn dissolved in the air around it. The Flamethrower broke through, now far less powerful than before. It collided into the hapless Swinub, sending it flying. It clambered to its feet, looking as strong as before. However I had a feeling that, despite Flamethrower's decrease in power, another hit would take out the Pokemon completely, and wreck my chances of a capture. I had to think carefully here, I would need to use a weak attack that wouldn't harm Swinub, but any close combat attacks would lose the decrease of the protection of Light Screen, but at the same time were far weaker. I could, however, think of one move that might be able to help us get out of the situation.
"Chimchar use Facade!" I commanded. By itself Facade was quite a weak move unless Chimchar had a status condition. Right now weak attacks would be the most effective as a stronger variant might be a risky move.

Chimchar's sking started to glow. The small red Pokemon's skin coated itself with a yellow sheen and my partner stood up, back straight, looking proud of itself and stronger than before. His eyes glinted and a golden ball formed in his hands. The orb started to mould itself onto his fist and he ran towards Swinub, the brown furry Pokemon cowering. I looked on, worried that the attack might be too powerful. My starter ran forward and jumped into the air, about to hammer his fist down. I looked on with interest. What would happen next?

    "Chimchar use Facade!" Joe commanded.

Chimchar started to run towards Swinub, accelerating even more quicker as he got closer. Alex started to wonder why Joe had ordered Chimchar to use Facade. It was only useful when the user is under a status condition, for example Burn, Paralysis or Poisoned. However Alex was surprised at how many times unexpected things pay off. Chimchar leaped into the air and raised his right hand. The right hand started to glow in a white colour. Normally if the user was under any status, the hand of the colour will transform into what status you have, increasing the power of the attack. Swinub looked up at Chimchar and watched as he slammed his right hand down onto his stomach. Swinub endured the pain and repelled Chimchar away by hitting him with his head.

Chimchar bounced back and looked at Swinub. He was tired and started to wobble around the place, trying to stand up straight. Then the Swinub suddenly opened his mouth and sent small ice crystals towards Chimchar. The ice crystals sliced against Chimchar and completely caught him off guard. Chimchar shrugged off the pain and focused back to the battle, hoping not be caught off guard.

"Joe, you might want to make the capture now or Chimchar could get more injured from the battle," Alex said to Joe.

Chimchar's fist glowed a bright white colour and ran forwards, accelerating into a sprint. He leapt forward and slammed the attack onto Swinub's belly, sending the Pokemon skidding away. Chimchar leapt away trying to avoid a nudge of the Ice type's head and crouched on the ground. That Slack Off Attack had really payed off and now he looked energetic. He stared at his opponent, waiting for an attack.

Swinub openned its mouth and a small group of crystals flew out. Before Chimchar had time to react the crystals scratched across Chimchar's body, sending him crashing to the ground. He quickly leapt to his feet, however, eager to prove himself.
"Joe, you might want to make the capture now or Chimchar could get more injured from the battle," I heard Alex say behind me. He was right, I had to end this for Chimchar's sake. I felt in my pocket and grasped my fingers around the Park Ball. The small orb felt right in my hands, destined to be the one for Swinub.

I pressed the button and prepared it for capture. The ball expanded in my hands and I aimed it. I drew my arm back and threw the ball. It spun in the air, almost in slow motion. It started to release itself. I prayed that it would capture the Pokemon.

Alex watched as Joe whipped out a small Parkball from his bag. He held the ball in his hand and pressed the button on the front. The ball quickly expanded, ready to be used to capture Swinub. He threw the ball towards Swinub. Alex hoped that Joe captured this Swinub, he had been battling it for some while now. The ball floated through the air and bounced off the skin of Swinub. It flipped open and sucked the ice Pokemon into the capsule. The capsule slammed shut and fell to the ground. It rolled around in the dirt, from left to right. Then it stopped and a successful ping echoed through the valley.

Alex walked towards the Pokeball, picked it up and placed it inside his bag for safe keeping. He turned around and faced Joe, "Congratulations, you are a proud owner of a Swinub. Would you like to continue?" Alex asked.

The Park Ball bounced on Swinub's rough opened and swallowed the small Pokemon whole. It bounced on the dirt and rolled around for a moment.
PING! The sound reverberated against the hard slate of Mt. Oktori. I had caught a Swinub! Alex walked briskly forward and placed the Poke Ball in his bag once again. I would have time later to look at Swinub.
"Would you like to continue?" He asked. Something in my mind already told me my answer. There was so much more of Mt. Oktori to explore and I still had two Park Balls left. Two more Pokemon to catch.
"Let's keep on going for now," I replied. "So, where do we go next?"

Let's keep on going for now," Joe replied. "So, where do we go next?"

Alex looked around and decided to follow the path, through the valley. Alex picked up his bag and lead Joe through the Valley. It wasn't that far till they reached a cross road. Alex looked around at the surrounding landscape. The small thin valley leaded onto a large more wider one, about the size of a football stadium. In the middle of this valley was a large area with different types of rocks. Alex assumed that Pokemon would come here to train against the rocks, using them as dummies. Alex looked down into the middle and noticed a small figure bashing the rocks. Alex opened up his bag and withdrew a set of binoculars. He looked through them and passed them over to Joe.

"Hey Joe, look closely. It's a Mienshao." Joe said. Then Mienshao quickly looked over towards the direction of Joe and Alex and noticed the two trainers. Alex turned to Joe and said, "Want to battle this Mienshao? If you don't we should get going really quick. I've heard that they can be a deadly Pokemon when you are in their territory."

I followed as Alex trecked up through the narrow valley, up to where the path forked off. The sight ahead stunned me. The valley opened up into a huge expanse, far bigger than anything I had seen so far. In the centre was a pile of boulders of varying colours and types. I wonder where they came from I gazed on at the scene as Alex passed me his binoculars. I looked down the binos and examined the pile of rocks. A long, sleek grey figure was moving amongst them, almost invisible due to its perfect camouflage. Alex identified it as a Mienshao. I had always longed for that Pokemon, but I knew the practicalities. My Park Balls were far too weak to even imagine catching one of them.
"Not this time," I said to Alex. "Let's get on quickly,"

"Not this time," Joe said to Alex, "Let's get on quickly."

Alex nodded and looked left, noticing a small cave. He tapped Joe shoulder and pointed in the direction of the cave. They quickly made a run for it, hoping that the Mienshao wouldn't chase after them. However unfortunately, Mienshao quickly set off and chased after the trainers. Alex turned around and noticed Mienshao coming up from behind. He stopped, knowing that there is no point running from it. He turned to Joe and said, "I can make a distraction and we can run for it? or you could buy a PokeDoll for 500 bucks, which would assure a successful escape?"

If Alex was put in this position, he would use the Pokedoll knowing that it was a 100% chance of running away. He looked at the incoming Meinshao, knowing that Joe would have to make his mind up soon.

OCC: I'll buy the PokeDoll £4250-500=£3750

Alex tapped me gently on the shoulder led me torwards a small cave, careful not to attract attention from the Mienshao. All was in vain, however, as the sleek Pokemon darted after us, eager to make chase. Alex turned round and noticed the oncoming Pokemon. Ignoring any attempt at quietness he said to me,
"I can make a distraction and we can run for it? or you could buy a PokeDoll for 500 bucks, which would assure a successful escape?" He asked ignoring any attempt at quietness.

I thought for a brief moment, evaluating the situation. I was desperate to evade this vicious Pokemon but it did cost £500. I gazed on at the oncoming feline Pokemon and made my decision.
"I'll take the doll, thanks" I said.

"I'll take the doll, thanks" Joe said to Alex. Joe fished through his bag and removed some money, handing it over to Alex. Alex exchanged the money for a Pokedoll, which he removed from his bag. Joe threw the doll towards the charging Mienshao, hoping that the fighting Pokemon would noticed. The Mienshao quickly halted in front of Joe and Alex and lowered its head. It started to sniff the doll, wondering what it was. Then Mienshao quickly ran in the opposite direction, trying to get as far as possible away from the doll. Alex was surprised, he had always wondered how PokeDolls guaranteed a certain escape. Some Pokemon simply took the doll away and played with it or cared for it as it was they own. However this was the first time Alex had seen a Pokemon run away because it was either scared or the doll smelled funny.

After their experience with Mienshao, Alex guided Joe towards the cave. The entered the dark cave and slowly ventured through. It seemed like this cave ran right through the main mountain of Mt. Oktori. Then out of nowhere, a small fighting Pokemon appeared from behind a rock. It was a small Pokemon and looked like a child. It looked at the trainers and cried out loud, "Tyyyy."

Alex turned to Joe and asked, "Do you want to battle this Tyrouge?"

I took out my wallet and gave $500 to Alex. As I gave it over I thought at how much a normal doll would cost. I threw it out in front of me, expecting the raging Mienshao to attack it and rip it to shreds. It stopped in its tracks. I waited, crouching in anticipation. The sleek Pokemon sniffed the PokeDoll, and fled, running back down the mountain in terror, running faster than I had ever seen it move before. I hadn't expected that reaction from the Mienshao, and wondered if it was normal for Pokemon to act that way to a Poke Doll.

We continued on into the cave. The cavern got surprisingly large and ran much further than I had first thought. A Pokemon leapt out of us from behind a rock, staring at us challengingly. It gave a cry and looked forwards. For God's sake, is this some sort of fighting dojo? I thought, irritated.
"Do you want to battle this Tyrouge?" Alex asked
"No, lets keep on going," I said. One Fighting-type was enough for me.

"No, lets keep on going,” Joe replied. Alex knew that Joe had already captured a fighting Pokemon and by the looks of his recent escape from Mienshao and Tyrouge, he was leaning towards more ice Pokemon. Alex watched as the Tyrouge slowly walked by, ignoring the two trainers. Alex almost wanted to thank him however he knew that if he said something, the Tyrouge would surely attack.

Alex lead Joe through the cave and suddenly walked into a large open room. It wasn’t as big as the outside training ground, where they encountered Mienshao; however this was a smaller version, probably for the young Pokemon. Alex looked forward and noticed a pile of rocks built up like a cage. He walked closer and noticed a small Pokemon inside. It looked like it was trapped in by the rocks. Alex called Joe towards him and asked for some help removing these rocks.

After successfully removing the rocks, Alex watched as the Pokemon bounced out in front of them. Alex realized it was a Mienfoo, the pre-evolution of Mienshao. The Mienfoo looked up at Joe and started to bounce around on the spot, like it wanted a battle. Alex turned to him and said, “Joe, it looks like this Mienfoo wants to say thank you for saving it. Would you want to battle?”

I watched in anticipation as Tyrogue approached. I held my breath as he slowly walked past us. I saw the Fighting-type's back disappear around a corner and stood up, stretching myself out. We continued through the cave system, dodging stalagtites and around stalagmites, until we came to a cavern, perfectly rounded. I wondered if any Pokemon lived here, exploring the fantasy of nests of Pokemon all hidden. The Pokemon I found was very different. Alex walked forward into the cavern, going towards a pile of rocks. Despite the poor light I could see why. Trapped by the rocks was a Pokemon, yellow with red bands around it. At Alex's asking I rushed forward and started to heave the rocks away.

We lifted the final rock and the Pokemon bounced out. It was a Mienfoo. I remembered the Mienshao that we had encountered earlier. I loved this species and it would be great to battle one. To my delite it started rocking on it's feet, ready to battle.
“Joe, it looks like this Mienfoo wants to say thank you for saving it; would you want to battle?” Alex asked. I'd been running from encounters for too long. It was time to face the Fighting type.
"Ok, let's take this one on," I replied. To my surprise Seedot released itself from its PokeBall.
"If you want Seedot," I said, gesturing for it to battle. I could see why it was so eager, I had used Chimchar for both battles, it must be jealous.
"Seedot, I don't want you to get too hurt, so start with a Harden attack to make attacks less effective," Seedot started to concentrate. Preparing to harden its acorn-like shell.

"Ok, let's take this one on," Joe replied. He started to shuffle through his rucksack for another Pokeball. Alex remembered that Joe only had two Pokemon and that if he was looking for another Pokeball, the chances are it will be his Seedot. He grabbed the Pokeball and threw it into the air. The ball exploded as it made contact with the ground and a white light emerged from the ball as well. A small acorn-like Pokemon appeared from the ball and looked at its trainer, excited to be battling. Alex noted that Seedot was fresh and a better choice rather than Chimchar, which had already battled two battles in a row. Seedot turned around to its trainer and awaited his next command.

"Seedot, I don't want you to get too hurt, so start with a Harden attack to make attacks less effective," Joe commanded. Alex couldn’t fault the trainer; his main job was to protect Seedot as much as possible. Harden was a move which increased the defence of the user by creating a small wooden coat around the original skin of the Pokemon. Sometimes it proved effective and since Mienfoo was a more physical Pokemon, it would benefit Seedot and Mienfoo.

Seedot started to glow in a white colour. Mienfoo at this time started to run around the battlefield. Joe started to fix his eyes to the fox-like Pokemon. Mienfoo stopped run and suddenly flew a set of flying stars towards Seedot. Seedot was a sitting duck and couldn’t do anything to prevent the flying stars. It endured the attack and stopped glowing. A thin white layer appeared around the surface of Seedot. Seedot seemed a lot happier now with defence against physical attacks.

Alex turned to Joe and wondered what he would do next.

    OCC: Female Mienfoo. @gmandiddy ;

As Seedot glowed white in the darkness Mienfoo started to run around the Pokemon. I tried to fix my eyes on the Pokemon as it flew around the training room. He skidded to a halt in the middle of the chamber and stared at Seedot. I waited in silence as the two Pokemon looked at each other. I watched, admiring my opponent. The Pokemon was powerful and beautiful, fox-like and sleek, like its evolution. It was a perfect capture for me. Maybe this wasn't a good idea though, I thought as I pondered my next move. Maybe Mienfoo was too good for my team. But there was no going back now, I would carry on.

"OK Seedot, Mienfoo's pretty powerful, so let's try a combination," I thought for a moment, deciding on the best mix of moves. Mienfoo was a Fighting-type, easily susceptible to Flying and Psychic type moves. But it had been in the cave for a long time. Maybe some light would make a difference.
"Seedot, use Sunny Day first and blind Mienfoo, then use Nature Power in Shadow Ball form and finish with Synthesis!" I commanded. I could make good use with the opportunity that Sunny Day had formed, and hopefully strike hard with Shadow Ball. After two moves Seedot would be heavily damaged and a Synthesis wouldn't go amiss. The plan seemed close enough to perfect. Seedot wasn't a particularly strong Pokemon, but with the right moves and a caring trainer Joe was certain that he wouldn't fail. He remembered back to the last time he had seen Shadow Ball used.

I stood outside the cave with Chimchar, looking into the dark abyss. This was my first time out in the wild alone, but I was determined to catch the powerful Sableye that was rumoured to live at the bottom of it. I wrapped the lifeline to my harness and walked towards the cave mouth. I was accomplished at absailing and relished at the task. I started to climb down, using Chimchar's fire as my torch as he nimbly scaled the rock wall. The descent was terrifying, I slowly scaled the wall, slippery with Zubat pellets, until I got to a place where the cave tightenned. I couldn't fit through with my harness. I was going to have to freeclimb from here. Discarding my harness I started to climb down the last twenty feet, finding holds in the rock to hold onto. I jumped down the last foot to the bottom and the air came alive with wingbeats, I had woken up a Zubat nest. Zubat flying everywhere, guided only by the light from Chimchar's tail I continued to go on on my quest for Sableye.

I saw a movement in the shadows beside me, a slow, deliberate movement. He gasped in horror as he saw what it was, a Sableye. The Pokemon formed a dark purple orb in its hands, and fired it straight at Chimchar. The small Pokemon was thrown back from the force of the powerful Ghost Type attack. I looked at the purple Pokemon, gems in its eyes. It stared back in a strange insectile way. Chimchar lay on the ground, surrounded by a purple aura that was quick to dissipate. Chimchar's Special Defense had gone down. One more hit from Shadow Ball and I could be finished I picked up Chimchar and ran. The Zubats dived onto us and peppered my bent back with attacks but I kept on going. I reached the wall that I had climbed down earlier. Hauling Chimchar over my back I started to climb, but I felt a force stopping me. I looked up and saw Sableye appearing in front of me. He prepared another Shadow Ball, producing the purple ball from thing air. This was it, I thought. This was the end. Sableye turned his head towards the ceiling and fired the attack, blasting the crack that had so impeded me to a much larger size. My harness fell down. I gave a nod of thanks to Sableye and, after tightenning the harness around me, climbed up, leaving the cave behind me.

Seedot started to prepare a ball of fire in its mouth, the bright orange orb as light as the Sun. He fired it at the roof of the cave and the chamber was filled with light. Mienfoo blinked in surprise at the light, it must have been training in here for months. Nevertheless it prepared its attack. Seedot prepared for the next stage of its attack, glowing white as it prepared to use Nature Power. I looked at Mienfoo, wondering what move it would use next. I prayed that it didn't know any fire type moves, which would be boosted by Sunny Day and even more effective against the grass type Seedot.

    OOC: I took this over in case you didn't see. Don't know why I thought someone claimed it sooner. That being said, if you keep up with the posting like in your last one this will be over in no time. @BlazeMaster;

IC: I end up showing up at the battle a field a little later than I actually would have liked, mainly due to waking up kind of late. That was a bad thing, because I hated leaving trainers alone in the park with a battle, because you never know what might happen. In this case it could have happened since I needed to take this run over, due to the prior ranger needed to leave. Oh well, I was here now, and as I could tell this trainer was clearly trying to capture a Mienfoo, and was doing so by using his Seedot to battle. Seedot...was certainly an interesting choice to use here, but hey my brother took Litwick to the park with every intent on using it to battle so.

"OK Seedot, Mienfoo's pretty powerful, so let's try a combination," he said, before taking a quick pause to think about it for a moment. He was no doubt trying to figure what moves would be the most effective to use in this situation. Seedot didn't exactly have the deepest movepool, and Mienfoo could generally be crafty battlers, due to be Fighting-types, though that didn't mean they were unbeatable or something. It just meant he would need to keep a sharp eye out for anything it could do.

"Seedot, use Sunny Day first and blind Mienfoo, then use Nature Power in Shadow Ball form and finish with Synthesis!" he had commanded. It was certainly an interesting combo of moves, that was for sure. Sunny Day, and Synthesis worked nicely together, it was just Nature Power seemed a bit oddly out of place here, but hey at least he was also adding in a move that could damage his foe. The main reason I liked that is, because much like my brother, I too was about an allout offensive strategy, and trying to hit hard as quickly as I can.

Trying to use Sunny Day inside of a cave was certainly something alright. Something crazy. Though it wasn't actually unheard of, I mean my brother did it afterall on his prior trip to Mount Oktori, it was just that he ended up having Chandelure create the attack, and so rather than an artificial sun being made or the ceiling of the cave being blow away, Chandelure used its flames to act like she herself was the sun. I didn't think the same thing would happen here though, with Seedot not being a Fire-type Pokemon. Seedot gave it its all, but the little guy just didn't have the necessary energy, or ability to create a synthetic sun here. Though that didn't mean that it didn't give it its all. A quick, and bright flash of light was quickly created, which managed to distract Mienfoo rather quickly, since it went to cover up its eyes.

While it was distracted it gave Seedot a golden opportunity to strike, and deal some damage. It was using Nature Power, which was certainly unique. Nature Power would change into one of several moves given the selected area you were in, due to the natural surroundings. So if there was a large amount of water around, as you could naturally assume this move would end up producing Surf. Inside of a cave though it was a little different. Caves were generally dark, and so this attack would feed off the darkness in the area, and it would end up shaping it into a Shadow Ball attack. This was a Ghost-type move, which was kind of a mix between a ball, and just a glob. The attack was formed in front of Seedot, and looked like it was actually bigger than its entire body. There wasn't much of an opening to strike though, as Mienfoo's sight was coming back. The attack was quickly fired off, but with the way it turned, only part of its midsection had been clipped.

Now was going to come stage three of his plan, which was Synthesis. What this would do is restore a Pokemon's health by half of its maximum with no weather around. In rain, hail, and sand this would only restore one fourth of their health. However if this ended up being used while the sun was shining it would restore two thirds. That last one was what made me believe that he wanted sun here. Seedot went ahead to try to begin healing, but Meinfoo didn't want any of that. It hopped over at its foe, and gave it a quick bop on its head, to which Seedot took a few steps back to shake it off. Pound was what was used there. Just a basic move like it sounded, where the foe would throw a quick punch or something to deal a bit of damage.

This wasn't everything though. It seemed like Mienfoo wanted to show off what it was truly capable of. It picked up a rock, which looked to be about medium in size, off of the cave floor, and tossed it at the Seedot. Before the rock could actually hit him though, Mienfoo dashed over there, and threw a punch which not only shattered the rock to bits, but also nailed Seedot right in the face, cause it to crash into the ground. It had used Rock Smash, a move more than powerful to destroy rocks as was just witnessed, and also had the chance of dropping the foes Defense. It got back up, and while it didn't look like its defense had dropped any, it still certainly took some damage from that attack.

OCC: THANK YOOOOOOOU!! I hadn't noticed.

IC: The Ball of orange light from Seedot burst, creating a huge flash of bright light in the centre of the field, although with not enough power to stay there, it blinded Mienfoo for a moment, giving Seedot the chance to strike. To be fair I was a little dissapointed at Seedot's power, but we could still win this. As the cave was plunged back into darkness Seedot started to from a globule in front of his face, preparing the attack. It was the Shadow Ball I had seen so long ago.

The Ball spat out from Seedot, flying through the dark air towards Mienfoo, but it had back spin it seemed. The ball came off tatget slightly, only glancing off the red and yellow Pokemon's torso. Mienfoo was still knocked off it's feet, quickly jumping up again. I felt bad inside, this was my failing, spending too much time with Chimchar and not giving Seedot the attention that he deserved. After we caught Mienfoo I would train him. As I thought this Mienfoo ran forward, bonking Seedot with his yellow hands. It was a pound attack, but due to Seedot's Hardenning, the attack didn't seem to do too much damage.

Now the last stage of my plan came to fruition, healing Seedot. Brennus started to glow yellow, his wounds starting to heal. Mienfoo hurled a rock at th acorn-likee Pokemon, it looked like a Rock Throw Attack. Just before the rock hit Seedot's face Mienfoo leapt forward and punched the rock into small pieces, spattering Seedot's face with it. I looked around the cave and saw a ranger, but it wasn't Alex. I wonderred where he had gone, he must have had to leave. I turned to the new ranger.
"Hi, I'm Joe," I said, trying to look friendly. I tback to the battle, concentration fixed in my face

I considerred my options, Seedot looked like it ewas hurt, and my initial instinct was to Make him defend. But inside I knew that there was only one way to win this battle, and that was by dealing damage. Mienfoo was an offensive Pokemon, he could also deal a lot of damage to Seedot, and that was the key to my victory.

"Seedot, You're not going to like this, but we're going to have to use a Bide attack," Seedot looked up at me as I said this. He looked tired and I wasn't sure that this was the right thing to do, but I had to do it. Mienfoo would l a lot of damage to Seedot, but after that I could take him down with the power his attacks would have given mine.
    "Yes, Seedotm sure. USE BIDE!"
