NBP​

"Why isn't my trainer here already," I asked impatiently, at the enquiry desk.

"I'm sorry, sir, I'll just check if there's any message about any cancellations," the receptionist said, in a cool crisp voice. She wasn't worried at all, and why would she anyway. She didn't have to answer anyone after all.

After a few clicks on the computer, she replied, "I'm sorry, sir, your trainer, Badal, is actually waiting on the other Gate of the Park."

"Gosh, why wasn't I informed about this," I said, hurriedly, and without waiting for a reply, rushed over to the Teleporters. These were a new technology, which allowed swift movement between various locations in the Park.

A few pushes on the various buttons in the Teleporter machine, and I was soon at the other Front Gate.

I stepped into the Waiting Hall, and then began looking for the trainer I was supposed to be escorting.

"When you look me in the eyes..everything's alright, when you're right here by my side..." Badal sang as he waited for his Ranger to come and take him to the National Park.
Suddenly a tall, very stiff and a bit angry man rushed into the room, I supposed it was my ranger but got the sign of confirmation when I saw his badge, "Ranger- Irdium."
I walked upto him and said in a very timid manner (Not usually me) "I am Badal and I am the trainer who wanted to go to Mt. Oktori. Sorry if I'm late, its just I couldn't figure out where to go! There are so many options its like 1 place here and then you look there and Whoa!, you see something exciting." I blabbered like I usually do, feeling a bit comfortable.
"Team Ninja is ready- that is me and my buddy Charizard here, Charizard say hi to our Ranger Irdium. "Chaaaaarrr" Well thats how Charizard greets people... I'm ready to go so anytime! I'm just so pumped with excitement!"

"Do you have any more tips? Or anything Important? if not lets go!" I said as I opened my backpack to check if everything was there.

 

NBP​

I soon located the trainer I was supposed to be escorting. After a few hasty introductions with him and his well trainer Charizard, we set off towards Mt. Oktori.

We had already lost some time, so I asked my Alakazam to teleport us to the base of the mountain.

"So, Badal," I began. "We won't be using the Cable Car, as most tourists who simply come to admire the beauty of the snow-clad mountains do. Instead we'll take the hard way up, walking," I finished, with a slight smile.

We had merely entered the foot of the mountain, that we were faced with two small fighting type Pokemon, both Machops. They seem to breaking some of the rocks, though I wasn't clear why.

"There's your first encounter in the National Park, Badal," I said. "Are you interested in catching any of those two?" I asked.

I saw those Machop and thought about the Machamp from evolving it and the first thing that came to my min was- "CATCH". It didn't stay in my mind for a long time...
Well.. Charizard, you know what time it is......
Its time for the Disco!!!
No I'm kidding Charizard... jump up high and and use Dragon Rage. You have that power and I know you won't kill them, leave enough HP for me to catch them!
Go ahead breathe that blue monstrous rage!!!

*Question*: Can I battle only 1 of them and not the other one? if so I'd like to do that, if not then bring 'em both on.

 

OOC: Read what I said My post says that they will attack one by one, so yes, you only battle on at a time.

On another note, you need to describe attacks (I know you did give a very slight description, but we need more of that) Just ordering a move wouldn't be enough.

BP​

Badal, on seeing the two Machops, became ready to battle at once. He tossed his Pokeball, and out came his Charizard, flying just above the ground, with its large dragon like wings.

The Machops could have attacked Charizard together as well, but for the spirit of the battle, one of them decided to back off.

The other Machop, however looked ready for battle completely.

Badal quickly ordered Charizard to use a Dragon Rage attack, and Charizard, obeying its master, set off into the air with extreme swiftness. It came flying down towards Machop, and then let off a breath of hot blue flames from its mouth, which hit Machop straight on.

Machop was clearly terrified by the attack, but surprisingly it didn't do much damage to Machop. The flames just passed through as if they were not hot at all.

Machop, taking advantage of this weak attack, quickly decided to build its power. Machop began to jump up and down quickly, and stretched its muscles with a few swift stretching exercises to increase its attacking power. At the same time, Machop flexed its muscles and increased its defensive powers as well.

Hmm I'm surprised it didn't do much. Well, "Charizard do me this, you see how he's ready for your attack? you gotta get him on the surprise, get him when he least expects it."
I was surprised by how strong the Machop was, well Machop are meant to be strong anyways.

Charizard flew up high in they air, waiting for my command, it was as though we both had the same thing going through our minds.
Charizard was so high up that I had to shield my eyes from the sunlight. "Charizard you know what to do" I yelled, covering my eyes with my hands. Charizard swooped down like a bird, that giant orange Dragon, came down like a sweeping monster and came close to the Machop. There were waves of heat enumerating from the beast..."Yeah! HEAT WAVE!" I yelled. I was so proud of Charizard. Charizard was acting like as though he had limitless power. That's my Charizard.

 

BP​

Badal too was surprised at the small amount of damage Charizard's attack had done to the Machop. However, he wasn;t disappointed at all.

He quickly recovered and jumping into the air again, starting concentrating hard, building up heat in its mouth. Charizard had some special organs which could be used to generate heat, and finally spew fire onto the opponent. Once Charizard had gathered sufficient heat, it opened its mouth really wide, and blasted a huge breath of fire at the small Machop. The flames shot towards Machop swiftly, hitting it straight in the face, leaving bruises on its skin.

The ice, though there wasn't much here as we hadn't gone too deep in the mountain yet, in the area too started melting because of the excessive heat.

"Be careful, Badal, we don't want all the ice here melting," I said.

Machop, though recovered quickly from the attack. It quickly launched itself onto the big rocks on the higher areas. Charizard, wanting to have a rest after its attack, settled down onto the ground. But then it received a big shock. Machop began throwing blows at the rocks, so that they started falling on the ground, hurting Charizard immensely. Charizard tried to fly away, but at that very moment, three rocks fell down on one of its feet, hindering his ability to move around. Charizard was clearly in pain, and its soft moans said the same. It tried to free itself, but it was hurting itself more in this way.

"Badal, you need to do something, Charizard isn't comfortable amongs those rocks," I said.

"Ouch... Charizard, I know its paining but I'm gonna have to make you do something...
Charizard use flamethrower at the Machop...As soon as you do that try to free yourself"

Charizard knew what it meant for Badal to catch Machop and so he stood their staring into the tiny eyes of Machop. That stare would sure scare anyone, just the way it scared the Machop. Charizard let out a spray of Orange Flames that looked lethal, but wouldn't kill. Charizard felt comfortable once those flames were let out.

 

BP​

Badal simply ordered Charizard to continue attacking the Machop with a Flamethrower, without telling him to free itself first.

Charizard, because of respect for his master, gathered all its strength and energy and let out a huge breath of fire straight at the Machop. As the flames touched the Machop's skin, it damaged the fighting type quite a lot. This cheered up Charizard a bit, but the rocks still stinged him, and he was losing strength rapidly.

Machop, however recovered quickly. It jumped onto the trapped Charizard, and using its muscular arms, made a cross like arrangement, as it prepared for the attack, and then quickly unfolded its arms and started throwing blows at Charizard, and finally, brought back its arms together in the cross formation and attacking Charizard, dealing heavy damage to fire lizard.

Both the Pokemon were quite tired, but none of them ready to give up yet.

However, we were alread facing another problem as well. If Charizard continued using fire attacks like this, it could lead to a major meltdown.

"Maybe you shouldn't use any more fire attacks," I said.

"Ok Charizard, its probably best for you to get out of the rocks. Use your other foot to kick the rock towards the side and get yourself free"

Charizard knew this was the best he could do as he used his other foot to slowly remove the rock on top of his foot and move it aside.

"Thats right Charizard!! Go get 'em boy! Charizard use Shadow Claw!!!"

Charizard was ready and knew that using a fire type move would damage the surroundings. Charizard moved aside a bit and pulled his arm back. It was as though an orange giant was going to punch you across the face, but Charizard brought it forward with lots of force and used Shadow Claw.
Charizard knew it was enough to leave the pokemon withering though not fainted.

 

BP​

Charizard struggled hard to throw the heavy boulders sitting on its feet, and finally after putting in a huge amount of effort, succeeded in throwing away the heavy rocks which were preventing him from moving away. He had lost a lot of his energy in this process, and was now sweating profusely.

Machop, taking advantage of this, quickly jumped onto Charizard and started slapping it multiple times with it hands. These slaps were so powerful that they could even easily awaken any sleeping Pokemon.

Charizard became initially confused at this sudden attack, and tried to throw Machop away by shaking its head multiple times. It probably was still in the mindset that he was still trapped in the rocks, and couldn't fly away. Machop, however held tightly onto Charizard's neck with its hands.

However, on hearing its master's orders, Charizard quickly raised one of its hands, and holding them in a special position, gathered power and then repeated started scratching Machop on its whole body. There was a mystical shadowy glow around Charizard's paw, and that was lending the attack more power. As Charizard continued to scratch Machop, Machop let go off Charizard's neck, falling on the ground with a thud, now extremely tired and exhausted.

Badal knew this was an important moment and so he yelled to Charizard... "Charizard, this is the moment. You know what to do, its time to catch this pokemon... Charizard use Scratch"
Charizard knew that this was crucial and so he pulled his arm back and brought it forward with great force. Charizard knew that the force from this would be enough to let the Machop survive.
Charizard's silver claws went through the tiny Machop.

 

BP​

The battle was coming to its climax. Charizard was by now pretty cheered up with its state, and was moving around excitedly, though it was pretty weakened itself.

Charizard quickly raised its arm for the final attack to be delivered. Its silver claws gleamed magnificently as it raised its arms in preparation for the attack. After a few seconds, it brought them down sharply on the Machop, and for a moment I was afraid that the attack might just be too powerful to knock out the weakened Machop.

However, after the attack was completed, Machop still survived, lying on the ground in a pathetic state. It was almost on the verge of fainting. It tried to get up to retaliate, but all it managed to do was get a very feeble kick onto Charizard's foot, which caused very little damage to the big fire Pokemon. It was so weak now, that even executing an attack sapped its health.

"Er, maybe you should throw the ball now," I said, feeling extremely bad for the weak Machop.

"Charizard, thats enough!" Badal felt sorry for the weak Machop and knew that if he took the Machop with himself, the Machop would have a much better life and will become stronger and a better pokemon. Learning more things with Team Ninja. Machop had the urge that every pokemon in Badal's team had. The urge to win.

Badal pulled out the superball that he had bought at the National Park shop. Badal threw that sphere and was staring at it every moment waiting for it to land and catch the pokemon.

BP​

Badal quickly pulled out a Superball from his pocket, and quickly threw it towards the very feeble Machop. The ball reached Machop, and as it touched Machop's skin, it opened quickly, and engulfed the red silhoutte of Machop. It then fell onto the rocky floor, wobbling to and fro.

It seemed like ages for which the ball kept wobbling, and when it finally seemed to be coming to a halt, the most unexpected thing happened. The ball broke open, and Machop came out of it, very very weak, but still resisting.

"Wow, I can't imagine how it is still fighting," I said in a low voice. "You should pick up the ball, Badal, it can be used again," I added.

Menwhile, Machop began to gather loose rocks and mud in its hand, and then quickly hurled it at Charizard, who wasn't expecting this at all. Charizard blinked as the mud shot straight into its eyes, and even though the attack did close to no damage, it would lower Charizard's accuracy for sure.

"This Machop is really tough," I commented, though it was clearly visible anyway. "You should keep on trying though."

"WOW! Thats a true fighter!! This Machop is just right for me."
Badal quickly ran and picked up the Superball and got back to his original position.
This Machop was like none other, very determined, very strong and yet was so small. Badal knew he could try one more time to capture this pocket powerhouse.

He held the superball and looked at it, as though it would give him luck in capturing Machop. Badal threw the superball and kept looking at it as it came closer to the Machop. It opened and the silhouette of Machop went in.

 

NBP​

Badal wasn't at all disheartened by his failure to catch the Machop at the first go. Quickly scooping up the Super Ball in his hand, he trid to catch Machop again.

The same sequence followed again - the ball touched Machop, engulfed it, and then started shaking violently. However there was a very drastic difference this time. Instead of the ball breaking open again, there was a soft click and the ball finally came to a halt, indicating a successful capture.

"Congrats Badal," I smiled. I then looked towards the other Machop still hiding behind a rock. "Would you like to catch the other Machop as well?" I asked.

"I'm fine, I don't want to catch the other Machop...I don't want to take all the Machop away do I?"

I fed it to my Charizard and he gulped it down. "Now you're all healthy!"

"Iridium, lets go!"
I was ready to continue my adventure with Machop(M) caught!

Badal was extremely excited at having caught the Machp, and quickly put the Pokeball in his pocket.

He wasn't interested in catching another one, and the Machop too seemed too terrified to come out of its hiding place. We left the place, and headed deeper into the mountain.

At this point however, Nel purchased three Heal Potions from me, as he hadn't brought any healing items with him.

"That's all I have with me," I said, handing him the three bottles, as he handed me a wad of cash.

Badal then gave a bottle to Charizard to drink, which quickly restored him to perfect health.

"So, where would you like to go now?" I asked.

'Oh man so many places to go!!' thought Badal.
"Lets go deeper into the mountains? It'll be closer to the pokemon."
Badal and Charizard were ready to go and Charizard was very happy with yet another successful battle. Charizard was wagging his large orange tail waiting for a command from his master who in turn was waiting for Iridium to say something.
