As Psyduck approached Metagross, its claws began to connect with the steel framework of Metagross' body. Not a lot of damage was done to Metagross, but it did allow him to accurately complete his attack. His glowing claw came down like a hammer on the unsuspecting Psyduck, knocking it back a few feet. It was still standing and ready to fight, but it did have a slight look of fear in its eyes.

"Tanaros, finish this with a Thunderpunch," commanded Neon.

Metagross nodded its head and began to charge electricity into its arm once again. As ut was preparing its attack, Psyduck began to spray out bursts of water; each burst powerful enough to be confused with the shot of a gun. Metagross took the shots and then closed in, ready to deliver a decisive blow.

Metagross delivered its final blow, sending the opposing Psyduck running for the hills. Metagross was just too cool for school. Then, out of nowhere, a loud "A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES!" boomed down upon Neon and Metagross. With that a small figure crawled out of the water, trying to put on the most malevolent face it could make.

"D'awwwwwww. How cute! Now, I am over it. Tanaros use Hammer Arm!"

As the Omastar began to form globs of mud to launch at Metagross; Metagross loomed over the poor creature and began to bring its glowing claw down on top of it.

Omastar took one look at Metagross and shuddered. It immediately regretted its decision to fight this iron behemoth. Sadly, it had already started the battle and its pride wouldn't let it back down. It launched its globs of mud at Metagross, not giving it anytime to protect itself from the destructive blast that quickly descended upon it.

After one hit, Omastar ran from Metagross. Metagross had always been taught that overconfidence was a bad thing, but sometimes it was unavoidable. He had just sent a handful if pokemon running with their tails between their legs.

Then arose a bulky Vaporeon. Some considered it to be the leader of these lakes, others claimed that was just a rumor started by the gangs of the east pond. Whatever the story, it was ready to prove its worth.

"Metagross, don't falter. He seems to be pretty tough, but a few zaps from your thunderpunch," encouraged Neon.

The familiar yellow hue encased Metagross' arm as the lightning around it crackled.

Vaporeon got blasted back by the force of Metagross' electric encased punch. It winced a little bit, but it held on strong. It had an image to keep after all. It stood up once again, challenging its foe to try it again. It didn't expect Metagross to happily oblige. It was used to people backing down when it put on the tough guy act. It realized it had to get serious, so it began to charge a powerful beam of ice. It was thinking something about freezing the world, when Metagross readied its follow up.

"Metagross, give it a bullet punch! Do it quickly!"

Metagross acknowledged its master's request and began to propel itself off the ground by means if magnetic force. It also used said force to begin to spin rapidly. It gained momentun until it looked like one giant mass, as opposed to having each claw visible. It immediately flew towards the foe Vaporeon, ready to pummel it into submission before it could fire off its beam.

Metagross punched Vaporeon several times with blinding speed as its attacks connected. It knocked Vaporeon's attack in another direction, freezing a nearby tree. Vaporeon was tired of getting hit and decided now would be a good time to call it quits. It turned around and disappeared, like vapor, into the nearest lake.

"Errr... That will thaw out," reassured Neon about the tree.

Just then Neon and Metagross heard an audible yawn. They looked around and spotted a nearby pokemon. It was a Slowpoke. They had both seen it earlier, but they had mistaken it for an oddly colored rock. It appeared it had been trying to reach Neon and Metagross the entire time, but it kept fallng asleep as it slwly move towards them. Metagross now assumed a ready position, not all that scared of the opposing threat.

"I would hate to over use you Thunderpunch, Tanaros. Instead, let's go for a Shadow Ball against this one."

Metagross nodded and silently prepared a ghostly ball in front of it, ready to launch at the slow pokemon in front of it.

Metagross' shadow ball had proved effective. Slowpoke, was blasted backwards by it's force. It then realized the journey that was ahead of it. So, instead of trying to keep up a fight, it instead conceded and took the long walk of defeat. The really long walk. In fact, it took a good ten minutes before it was finally out of sight.

When Metagross just got to feeling good and proud about itself again, a Mantyke swooped in. It tried to start a fight, even though it paled in comparison to the iron giant that was Metagross. They both stared each other down for a little while before Metagross decided to make its move.

"Tanaros, show this little guy that you are not a gun (bad reference ). Give it a Thunderpunch! Useful move, isn't it? And you didn't want to learn it."

Metagross raised itself up and formed the all too familiar golden hue around its claw. Electricity continued to shoot out as Metagross leaped at the flying manta ray pokemon.

Metagross launched off the ground aiming its claw directly at the unsuspecting Mantyke. Mantyke just narrowly avoided, but still got a good shock from the electric that emanated off of the punch. Mantyke then realized exactly how bad of a decision it had made. It flew away with a new understanding of how beautiful life is. As soon as Mantyke got home, he kissed his family and promised he would take them all to Disney.

Back with Metagross: Metagross was now over his confidence. He just wanted to be over and done with battling. He understood he still had another competitor to face, so he sat and waited patiently. Soon enough, a small fish began to emerge from the nearby lake. It asserted its resence and made itself known by taunting Metagross.

Metagross instinctively began to generate electricity into its arm, creating the electric bulb that just wouldn't burn out. It stared at its opponent, more than ready to smash its face in and get some much deserved rest.

Neon just smiled and said, "It's a good thing you know the drill by now, Tanaros. Otherwise, we would have to have some more intensive training."

Metagross shuddered at the thought and couldn't help but remember the horrors that would entail. It readied itself even more now.

After Metagross finished off the pesky goldfish that tried too hard, it immediately let out a howl of joy. It could now rest and oil its hinges. Neon was happy to reward his iron pal. He returned it to its ball, and placed it back on his belt.

As Neon let out a collected sigh, and gazed around at the beauty of the forest. He was truly looking forward to a nice stroll through around these pristine lakes. Just as he started to take his first step, he became sorrounded by a beam of light. Slowly, Neon became overcome with a feeling of deep moistness. As the feeling turned to heat, he could no longer see his sorroundings. When everything finally came through and Neon regained his bearings, he realized that he was in the middle of the air.

Neon began to fall, quite clumsily. He started waving his arms around in the hopes of regaining balance. He remembered something he had seen in a movie once. He brought his hands together and wished. If anything, he picked up speed and landed in a pile of sand. He must have done something wrong, maybe he had to bring his heels together or something.

As he picked himself up, Neon noticed a hopping pig-like pokemon. It seemed it wanted a fight. Neon picked himself up and brushed off the sand around him. Weird, it was like moon sand...

Anyways, Neon reached for a Pokeball on his belt. He quickly released his dark bird, Honchkrow. Honchkrow looked around, sizing up the hopping obsessed Spoink in front of it.

"Loki, start things off with a Dark Pulse."

Spoink began to bounce, getting itself ready for the move it had been practicing. It was an omnipotent blast of pure power that KOd any pokemon that even witnessed its majesty. The forbidden technique was a family secret that Spoink had just had passed down to him by his grandfather. He was more than ready to give it a try in actual combat. He began to glow and charge, gathering the strong natural power that hung in the air and in sorrounding rocks. As he bounced, he began hitting a particular beat that signaled the start of the move.

"Spoink spoink spoin spoink oink spoink (This bounce is the bounce that will pierce the Heavens)!" declared Spoink.

As Spoink came down preparing its final bounce, Honchkrow looked at the pig and yawned. This infuriated the pig pokemon. Spoink came down on his last bounce, only to land on a rock and bounce off straight up into the sky. Honchkrow laughed and sent a pulse of dark energy up, just to make sure Spoink wouldn't be coming down anywhere nearby.

Just then a Sableye phased through a nearby wall. It had seen Honchkrow move the stone under Spoink. It obviously wanted a fight. Honchkrow was happy to oblige.

"Loki, do I even need to tell you what to do? Just beat him please."

Honchkrow acknowledged Neon's request and began launching more pulses of dark energy at the Sableye.

Sableye got blasted; literally and figuratively. Darkness flooded Sableye's head, obscuring his decisions. Either that, or going scratch crazy on an evil bird was a good idea. Yeah, insanity was a good plea in this particular case. Honchkrow was happy about it though. It meant he could safely taunt his opponent while it tried to viciously swipe at him.

Honchkrow did, he wagged his tail at the Sableye and did everything he could to get it angry. It worked. Sableye wanted to beat Honchkrow up, and would do anything to try it. Honchkrow was happy to wait for the battle to come to him. He had a secret ace up his sleeve; the wonderful ability to deliver a split second sucker punch that could crack any jaw. It was a powerful feint that could catch anyone off guard. No motion was needed to form the ghostly hand that would counter any attacking move.
