Like what he had done when battling the Taillow and Latias, Kipper took in a load of liquid energy into his body as he prepared. He glowed blue slightly while closing his eyes... The next moment, as power surged through him--all the way up until his nuzzle, a "wave" of brown, muddy water appeared, circling him.

The dirty liquid surrounded my Swampert in a spiraling motion, which looked like a vortex of sorts. Muddy Water, as I just realized, was very similar to the attack Whirlpool, except the latter was cleaner.

Soon, he released the barrage of muddy liquid at the small bird, which flew off immediately. I smiled--kind of, this Pidgey was easier to fend off compared to the earlier flying-typed Pokemon. I relaxed, breathing a sigh of relief when no other flying types swooped at us as we climbed up more platforms and pillars...

Then, suddenly, I felt that same a weird sensation from earlier. This time, I saw Kipper cringe, and my chest seemed to be banging back and forth again. My heart and lungs pumped and panted heavily. It was an awkward, weird, and bad feeling, but it was not anything new... My stomach jumped and turned; and tumbled and spun. Oh, I thought I would faint, but I rid my brain of the thought as I knew what would happen... Some sense flooded into my brain, oh, how unused to that feeling I was... But, this was how warping felt...

A moment later, I saw swirls of different colors... At first, they were clouds left, there were platforms and pillars surrounding them up in the sky, serving as a landing. Then, the picture seemed to have morphed in such a way that I could see the clouds and other scenes of the Outer Heavens mixed in with the colors of brown and red, along with a faint image of a volcano. In an instant, the scene of the Outer Heavens was gone, completely. It was all just the caves left, there were plants and wildlife, and rocks and boulders surrounding them right next to a volcano colored dark reddish-brown. We--implying my ranger, our Pokemon, and I--had just warped into the next zone, Mount Deckbi.

I gazed up, taking in the view of the towering active volcano. There was a wide trail that spiraled up and around it. There were caves all around the mountain, and one was right in front of us... Around the volcano, there was a blare of plant life with boulders and rocks almost covering them completely. The air was thick and quite foggy; it was dirty with ash, making it slightly hard for us to breathe properly; and it was cold. Snow fell from the sky, covering a load of parts of Mt. Deckbi itself...

I was about to return Kipper to his Pokeball when a tall Pokemon that resembled a large chicken sprang out at us from one of the caves. It seemed to have used its strong, muscular, yellow-colored legs to jump from one of the caves. It crossed its arms in an "X" in a battle stance; there were three fingers on each hand, resembling that of a normal chicken’s feet, with what appeared to be gray-colored wristband--like markings on its wrists. It was mostly red in coloration, with accentuations of beige, yellow, and gray. It had long, beige-colored, hairlike feathers extending behind its head, continuing downward to envelop some of its chest and abdomen. The creature's small, red-colored face was almost completely covered in feathers. It had a crest on its head with two points, which resembled the letter "V". It also had three spiky extensions on the sides of its face, and the eyes are semi-circular in shape, with yellow scleras and blue irises. Its mouth is a hooked beak. The Blaze Pokemon has a tuft of fire above its wrist and, when in combat with another Pokémon, it burns intensely as it becomes weary or stronger.

I let my Swampert stay out, confronting the Blaziken. I knew the Fire-Fighting type was weak to Ground, Water, Flying, and Psychic-typed attacks. Ground and Water because of fiery descent; Flying and Psychic due to his Fighting, for lack of better term, spirit.

I considered each of my options slowly. I would need Kipper later on for more fire types, and I would need Nia for Ground--or Rock--types. It would not exactly be the best option to use Superman, either. I decided to use Swampert for the time being, and it would not be very wise to use Earthquake. Earthquake was a much too powerful attack, it could destroy the surroundings...

"Kipper, I'm going to need you a little longer out here... Mud Shot, quickly! Follow up with Water Gun!" I commanded as Swampert nodded, breathing deeply and courageously. He began to store energy for two attacks, trying to divide the power as needed.

As Kipper began to gather energy for the two attacks, the Blaziken crossed its arms over its chest, resembling an "X". The wild creature then began to spin round and round rapidly as its body glowed purple. It wasn't long before the Blaze Pokemon seemed to look stronger and more powerful. Then, I realized Blaziken had used Swords Dance, a move that would increase the user's Attack stat.

The next instant, a wave of energy zipped up to Kipper's throat and mouth. He opened his nuzzle wide as a huge stream of brown mud shot out. This barrage of mud soon sped its way through the air and to the newly charged fire-fighting type. The direct hit caused the Blaziken to be pushed back by a lot, but it did not fend the Pokemon off.

Seeing this, and remembering my orders, my Swampert took the opportunity to convert its remaining stored energy for another attack. Quickly, a new wave of power shot up to his mouth, but it was liquidy in form. A blast of seemingly cold water pushed its way out of his mouth, heading for the opponent as well. Compared to the earlier Mud Shot attack, Water Gun was slower in speed, and of course in power. But that did not mean it would not be enough to fend off the Blaziken. They--implying all Blaziken--were weak to both ground and water types after all.

After the water-typed attack had hit, the Blaziken, trying to remember exactly how Kipper performed Water Gun, concentrated real hard. It started to try and attack Kipper with the Swampert's own move. This move, if I recalled correctly, was named Mirror Move. A short while later--longer compared to the time Kipper used, the Blaze Pokemon shot out a stream of water. It seemed weaker than Kipper's, but still enough to do even very minimal damage.

The Blaziken fled soon after this. Well, that was weird. A Pokemon fleeing after using Mirror Move? I guess that's just how things work around here... Who am I to complain for a fleeing Pokemon anyways? Especially if that certain Pokemon leaves candies and sweets--specifically Candy Canes, two of them. I picked the red and white-striped canes from the dirty ground, and tossed them into my pack quickly as I heard... A loud growling, roaring sound--or should I say, noise?

My ranger and I walked nearer to the volcano, getting closer and closer to the sound. The noise got louder and louder as we--slightly unknowingly--entered a large, wide cave. After walking a little bit more, we soon came face to face with, probably, my worst nightmare... No, that would be too offensive for this mythical creature. Okay, my hardest battle, then?

The Pokemon we encountered was one from stories passed on from generation to generation. It has been stated that this creature had the ability; the power to expand the lands; the continents. It, together with the Sea Basin and Sky High Pokemon, make up the Legendary Weather Trio. It had rocky plates on its back, modeled after the Earth's land. The creature was red in color, perhaps a reference to its relation with volcanoes. Looking at this Pokemon, I suddenly remembered my Bible, as well as the Behemoth, Leviathan, and the Ziz. Its massive, armored body seemed to be modeled after a Behemoth, too, a creature that ruled the land--called the Land Beast, while the Leviathan was the Sea Monster, and Ziz as a Giant Bird. It had red armor plating with a gray belly and sharp white spikes running from its head down to its tail. The Continent Pokemon also had three large sharp toenails on each foot.

I gulped. This was Groudon! The one who had battled with Kyogre--a Pokemon that had the power to expand the oceans and seas, and Rayquaza the one to stop the conflict. It is said that the Sky High Pokemn was the Trio Master--having been the one to stop their fight, and having a larger base stat total.

I shook my head, even more so regretting leaving my Electivire at home, especially since Bolt knew the moves Magnet Rise and Ice Punch. I regret that more than ever now, even hating myself for forgetting to teach ice Beam to Kipper before starting this quest. I sighed as I mentally smacked myself...
My Swampert stared at me, growling in a concerned, and slightly impatient, tone of voice.

I took a deep breath and shook my head once more, rubbing it off. "I am fine. Hang in there, just try to get in at least one attack... Quickly, use Hydro Pump! Then, if that is not enough, use Whirlpool. If it seems Groudon will attack, use Protect instead!"

I took yet another deep breath, hoping all would go well. If we were fortunate enough, the Hydro Pump would deal a good amount of damage as it was really a huge blast of water. After that attack, Kipper would decide whether to use Protect or Whirlpool. If Groudon looked as if it was about to attack, then Kipper would create a shield. If not, then Kipper would create a spiraling wave of water--like a liquid twister. I just hoped Kipper would be able to perform Hydro Pump... I knew the move was quite hard to do, especially when you compare it to his other moves.

Kipper nodded fiercely as he took a deep breath as well. He began to gather loads more energy, in case he needed to do three attacks one after the other. As he concentrated real hard on delivering the Hydro Pump attack, the Groudon lifted one red arm--sharp claws glowing intimidatingly.

The Continent Pokemon's arm and hand came down fast and forcefully, causing Kipper to try dodging. Jumping went to no avail as the legendary was a might too fast, grabbing my Swampert with the other arm, and swiped the glowing one down the side of his blue back. I gulped uneasily and almost fainted... It hurt me so much to see my beloved starter getting smacked like that.

"Kip-per...!" I screamed in horror, fear, and pain. He looked at me, pain was rushing through his veins, his face and eyes showed it all. Then, slight determination crept up to his face. I tried to smile encouragingly, but it did not work.

Fortunately, renewed energy and power shot all around Kipper's body. So when the mythical Pokemon finally dropped the Swampert to the gorund, it was not long before a twisting swirl of cold water blasted out of his mouth. The stream was big and circular, spiraling like a liquid twisting tornado. The surprised, unknowing opponent was caught off guard by the blast--and it was cold, causing Groudon to shiver ever so slightly. I smiled and cheered, that Hydro Pump had done a good deal of damage!

The legendary was enraged now! It stomped furiously as lava and smoke surrounded it from the whole atmosphere. Using a load of fire--and some ground--energy, the Groudon focused on delivering a devastating Eruption. A red orb appeared in front of its mouth, sending out a thick stream of smoke-filled fire, lava, along with some rocks. Its armor began glowing red and orange as well, a geyser suddenly spewing out, the whole attack combining to form one devastating fire-typed attack against my very much weakened Kipper.

Luckily, Kipper had sensed the fiery incoming attack, thus upon instinct and obeying commands, a glowing shield surrounded him as before. This glowing Protect turned into a light pink color. The aura blocked all incoming attacks for the time being, and the energy for the Eruption was wasted. The attack itself was a bad move in this case.

"Alright, KIpper! You can do it!" I called out, encouraging my Swampert. He looked on faintly, the pain seemingly overcoming his whole body--overwhelming him. He cringed, the cut and bruise form the Slash hurting him even more. I debated whether to recall him or let him stay out. Another hit could be the end of it... But then, water-typed attacks were best against Groudon. I knew Kipper was strong, he always was, but was this "finally" the time when another Pokemon from our team would take his place? Could he handle it? Suddenly, negative thoughts surged through my brain...

Shaking my head, and turning back to face the battle. I tried to focus my eyes and mind on what to do. Groudon seemed to be preparing yet another effective attack... My eyes were getting blurry, too much ash and smoke was filling the air. Which meant Kipper's accuracy and eyesight would get worse. This was definitely not going as planned.

"Return, Kipper! Take a good long rest, you did very well. Nia, I choose you!" I called out my Straptor, throwing the Pokeball to the ash-fallen ground with my right arm as I returned my Swampert to his Pokeball which was in my left hand. "Nia, start off with Agility. Then, Aerial Ace!"

Like what she had done in the Woods, Nia began to swiftly move form side to side. Shifting and flapping her wings through the ash-filled atmosphere. By doing so, she not only increased her speed by a lot, but also managed to clear the dirty foggy air up a little.

I do not know whether choosing to let my flying type out was such a good idea, as I had just remembered Groudon had some rock-typed attacks up his "sleeve", or should I say, red armor. And indeed I was correct.

As Nia began to speedily charge her way to the legendary in an Aerial Ace, the opponent stomped his foot again. Suddenly, rocks and stones had been summoned from the ground, levitating next to the Continent Pokemon. These stones had sharp, pointed edges, which made the move, Stone Edge, even more effective. Besides that, the particles of earth were surrounding the Groudon, circling him at a speedy rate.

Fortunately so, the Agility boost helped my Staraptor tremendously. In an instant, a white glowing aura surrounded Nia, giving her another boost in energy. Due to the continuous shifting and speed, the Aerial Ace had just managed to hit the mythical ground type. The stones, on the other hand, came crashing to Nia as well, but it was not a direct hit.

Thanks to the Agility, the Staraptor had successfully dodged a good number of those rocks--about half, at the very least. I knew she had dodged most of them because the pain expressed on her face was heavy, but it was not horror or distress... If she had just barely managed to dodge, oh who knows what state she may be in at this very moment!

"Nia, are you okay? Can you push through?" I asked in a concerned voice when she seemed to have lost her balance. Nia looked at me, determined and quite calmly. She had a peaceful look now, the easy-going face I always loved to see in her. That was why I loved her nature, she would be calm and would obey orders to do damage to the opponent. If she thinks it is too much, she would lessen the power used in the attack. I smiled back. "Okay, we might need to get a little harsh here... Let's use Close Combat! Follow up with Wing Attack if need be."

I gulped, I was not sure if the attacks would work, especially concerning Nia's nature. She looked back at me, quite frightened at what she was going to do. It was a harsh move after all. I tried my best to smile at her encouragingly. Was she not angry at the stones that had come her way? Maybe, if she thought about it this way, she would "feel like getting revenge" in a slightly easy-going way...

If all went well, Nia would charge at the foe quite harshly, hurling herself into the battle, preparing to go into a combat. And when she actually gets into close range with the legendary Groudon, she would quickly and repeatedly attack using whatever part of her body. She could kick with her feet--those that looked like chicken's feet but were actually very strong and head sharp claws; she could peck anywhere repeatedly and continuously with her hook-like beak; she could just plain hit the opponent with her wings; or she could do all at the same time.

If that did not get the legendary to flee, we would go into the next attack. Nia's wings would glow white with energy as she would swoop up back into the sky after the Close Comabt, then dive back down swiftly--though not as swift as Aerial Ace--and hit the opponent with one, even both, of her glowing, power-flled wings.

As Nia began to charge swiftly towards the Groudon, gathering energy and power for her close-ranged combat, a smile crept its way up to my face. She was doing her best to obey me, even though she hated harsh and quite mean attacks. Actually, she was really very obedient, even if she hated those attacks.

In an instant, without me even noticing it, she was at the back of the Continent Pokemon, hitting it with her wings continuously. At the same time, her hooked beak had started to peck all over the legendary's face and head.

Enraged, the Groudon had finally regained its ground, turning to face my flying type furiously. Seizing this opportunity to attack the opponent's front part, Nia suddenly kicked the mythical creature in the face with her powerful feet. The claws struck its face and front part repeatedly, scratching all over as they were sharp.

After a few more moments, the Groudon growled defiantly in defeat just as my Staraptor had swooped up into the sky. Stomping away furiously, the mythical Pokemon dropped something Christmasy, red-colored and suit-like. I picked it up and examined it, it looked just like what I had gotten when I battled Celebi twice in the Woods, and when I battled Latias in the Outer Heavens. I, just then, realized and noticed that all legendary Pokemon drop suits of Santa like these, and all other wild Pokemon drop other different--randomly, I suppose--things such as Candy Canes, Milk and Cookies, Snow Star Crystals, and Present Bags, all with relation to the Christmas Season. I carefully placed the Holiday Suit into my pack.

We walked on, into yet another cave. Nia had decided to "float" along beside me. I looked at her face and noticed a dazzled and bewildered emotion plastered on it. It was not surprising, though, due to her easy-going nature, that harsh Close Combat attack would have affected her emotions. She was probably still amazed that she could actually hit and attack that hard. I looked at her again, and I saw a glint of peacefulness on her face. I smiled--truly smiled--now.

I looked on, suddenly feeling cooler. I realized the temperature in these caves were cooler compared to the atmosphere outside. Most presumably because of the lava, magma, and dirt floating all around the air--and because of the volcano, too! I removed my light brown scarf and tossed it into my red backpack.

Suddenly, my ears--and probably Nia's and my ranger's--pricked up upon picking up a rolling, tumbling sound. I turned towards my Staraptor and the ranger, asking, "Did you guys hear that? Wh-what do you think it could be?..." Before any one of them had a chance to answer, the tumbling, rocky thing came closer.

I squinted into the darkness of the cave. I could barely see anything, except for a small, rocky figure coming closer and closer. There was barely any light in this cave, the only source of light was from the rays of sunshine seeping in through a few cracks here and there. But even then it was hard to see sue to the fact of the foggy, dirty, hazy atmosphere outside--blocking most of the sunny rays.

The creature finally came into view. It was a gray boulder. It had bulging rocky eyebrows, and brown irises. The entity also had two muscular five-fingered arms. I recognized this as the Rock Pokemon, surprisingly a rock-and-ground type. I would understand if it was one of its evolutions, but this one, just.. I don't know...

I was about to order an attack for Nia to use, but just then, I remembered flying- and normal-typed attacks were not very effective against Geodude. Besides that, this Pokemon had a load of rock-typed moves, which meant it could deal a good load of damage to my Staraptor. I knew it was weak to Fighting, Ground, Water, Grass, Ice, and Steel-typed attacks.

Hey, now, I have more than three scenarios to regret bringing my Electivire, or teaching Ice Beam to Kipper. Anyways, I decided on bringing out Superman for a change. Nia had to rest, and Kipper... Well, Kipper had done enough for now--he was badly damaged at this point in time.

When the Pokeball was half-way up in mid-air, it opened emitting a glowing white zapping light. The aura hit the ground, illuminating the cave for a while. A figure was formed, which soon became my Machamp once the light had disappeared. I caught the Pokebal with my right hand, and shot it back down to the insides of my pocket.

"Okay, Superman, I need you again. Show this Geodude what you can do. Quickly, charge up to it and use Vital Throw! Send it flying, but not too far into the cave. Then, if that is not enough, use Low Kick, and send that Rock Pokemon on its way!" I commanded, giving him a 'thumbs-up' encouragingly. He growled fiercely, stretching his muscles after that long rest. He began to gether energy and power for the throw.

"Okay, Superman, I need you again. Show this Geodude what you can do. Quickly, charge up to it and use Vital Throw! Send it flying, but not too far into the cave. Then, if that is not enough, use Low Kick, and send that Rock Pokemon on its way!" I commanded, giving him a 'thumbs-up' encouragingly. He growled fiercely, stretching his muscles after that long rest. He began to gether energy and power for the throw.

Charging quickly at the small--compared to Superman--ground and rock type, the Geodude had backed off a little. Before it could do anything, my Machamp had his arms outstretched, powered, and ready. He picked the opponent up quickly as it tried to struggle and break free from his strong grasp.

The next instant, without a moment's hesitation, Superman had--as it seemed to be--easily flung the Rock Pokemon back into the depths of the cave. I cringed slightly guiltily as I saw the creature soaring through the air speedily, crashing at the top of the cave when it made an arc. The Geodude looked pretty dizzy as it descended into the darkness. All we could hear once more was a tumbling, rolling, rocky sound--but this time, it was in the opposite direction; opposite force.

We traveled farther into the cave, less and less light to illuminate our path. I kept on squinting, and I could just make out my Machamp's figure as he walked. He seemed to be having a hard time seeing and walking as well, he almost bumped into me...! Instantly after thinking of that thought, I felt my shoe hitting something hard... I could feel myself falling; going downwards... Then, my face went "splat" onto the hard, dirty, rocky, ground.

I looked closely at the thing that made me stumble. It was a Diglett. I sighed, grumbling as I got up slowly. That Pokemon would pay! I felt myself shrinking as I heard Superman chuckling softly and proudly behind me...

I growled furiously. I barked out my commands to my Machamp in authority, and that silenced him. "Show that creature who's boss! Use Cross Chop, then follow up with Karate Chop!"

Superman began to gather energy for the attack, his arms powering up as they began to glow white. Because Cross Chop took some time to charge, the Diglett took this opportunity to gather power as well.

Before my Machamp could really attack, a barrage of circular, round blobs of mud shot out of the ground Pokemon's mouth. I immediately recognized this attack as Mud Bomb, having seen Kipper use it numerous amounts of times. The mud flew through the cave at amazing speeds, hitting Superman almost directly, and causing a good deal of damage.

He was soon covered in mud, which he desperately tried to shake off fully. Then, I think, he got an idea. He let the mud on his arms and hands stay as they glowed brightly and powerfully.

Superman charged at the Diglett, slightly furiously. He swung his arms down hard, repeatedly. I then realized what my Pokemon had done. Even though Cross Chop was a mighty strong attack, the mud on his hands helped damage the Mole Pokemon further.

When Machamp had finished chopping the Diglett, it quickly dug into the ground, "running" away. I cheered, we had successfully fended off the ground type. I smiled happily, I was very fortunate and proud to have Pokemon on my team that actually used their brains to think--sometimes.

We were about to move on, farther into the cave, but something shot up--glinting and sparkling, and catching my eye. It seemed to have come from the crater--I mean hole--that the Diglett had dug. I quickly outstretched my arm to catch the star-shaped object before gravity could pull it back down to the undergrounds.

I suddenly wondered what Digletts looked like. Sure, they looked like brown moles with eyes and a pink nose. Then, the ground always seemed to circle their lower parts. I do tend to wonder if there is something under their top parts--the parts that could be seen above the ground. Were there parts under the ground that no one could see and know about, except for themselves?

The ground suddenly shook; the tremor snapping me out of my reverie. We were shaking in an earthquake, it wasn't the strongest, but it still made me tremble in fear, shock, horror, and... and... Did I say fear already?

Quickly and instinctively, my ranger ushered us all out of the cave. I almost tripped on rocks, boulders, and, well, dirt. The other did, too. As we ran through the darkness, I thought we would never see the light of dawn.

Then, just as the thought escaped my mind, I saw the sunlight through the ash and dust of the atmosphere. I pushed myself to go faster and farther as the ground shook more violently--as if it were to collapse right under us.

When we finally reached the outside of the cave, we swiftly ran for shelter. We hid and protected ourselves from possible devastating damage. The magnitude finally stopped after some more minutes. Slowly, carefully, cautiously, we made our way towards the cave--just because we, actually I, were curious to see what had happened.

The entrance of the cave itself wasn't looking too good, the boulders all separated and tumbling about; the ground quite cracked and dirty. The atmosphere was even dustier and dirtier now.

But what caught my eye was the relatively small earth-colored creature. It was covered in sand and ground fully--from head to toe. The Hippo Pokémon also had a large mouth with big teeth. It had ports on its body and large nostrils. I gazed puzzled and amazed at the creature. I wondered how such a relatively small Pokemon could cause such damage and tremor. I recognized the entity as Hippopotas, a Pokemon that could most commonly be found in arid places.

"Right then. Kipper switch in for Superman!" I returned my Machamp to his ball as I threw a different Pokeball to the ground before us. The ball opened as a figure of a Swampert began to take shape on the battlefield.

"Okay, Kipper, fend this off quickly. Charge in speedily as if you were to use Take Down. Then, as you do that, gather energy for a Hydro Pump. When you're a little closer, release the blast of cold water!"

The concept was pretty simple really, and quite similar to what Superman had done before. Charging would be like charging for a Take Down, like charging towards the opponent in a Vital Throw. Then, instead of Cross Chop or Brick Break or Dynamic Punch or whatever, Kipper would use Hydro Pump.

Charging would be like charging for a Take Down, like charging towards the opponent in a Vital Throw. Then, instead of Cross Chop or Brick Break or Dynamic Punch or whatever, Kipper would use Hydro Pump.

That was exactly what Swampert did. He did it like how Superman had done it, except with different moves. Personally, I like this combo, but it might be getting a bit old... Then again, who cares? The combo works, and I like that.

So, Kipper charged speedily and forcefully, with his body glowing slightly, towards the opponent. I knew he had already started to gather and focus energy for the Hydro Pump the moment he started running towards the Hippopotas.

When he was less than a few meters away from the Hippo Pokemon, the power shot up through his body towards his mouth. The next instant, a blast of cold, slightly swirling, water pushed its way out of his mouth with much force, speed, and power. The liquid traveled rapidly through the air, moving its way past the dirty atmosphere, the ashes, and the fog.

Before you could say "Hippopotas", the water had directly hit the opponent, without it even trying to dodge. I do not know why the ground type took the attack so directly, but it was probably to slow, too brave or too bold, or some other nature.

With that, it dug back down to the earth, causing yet another tremor. Luckily, this one was of less magnitude, less power, and there was, of course, less shaking. I was grateful of that, but we did still have to take cover.

Then, all of a sudden, right before leaving, the Hippopotas released a stream of pink bubbles. Would you believe it? In that streak of bubbles was a lone gleaming, glowing star-shaped crystal. I did not know whether I should smile, laugh, or get worried. I would laugh because it was funny how the opponent released/gave us the Snow Star Crystal; I would smile because I had successfully fended off the Hippopotas, earning me another Christmas item; I would be worried since those bubbles were exactly like the Slakoth's Yawn bubbles--to be exact, these were, once more, Yawn Bubbles.

I suddenly had no time to call for an attack, or something, to dodge the drowsing bubbles. My jaw dropped opened wide as I wanted to shout something, Kipper tried to run, but it was too late! The Yawn attack had gotten to him! I saw his eyes beginning to droop, he was definitely getting sleepy.

We still moved on, however, we did not get far. There was yet another rolling, tumbling sound, but this one was louder and stronger than that of Geodude's tumbling. It appeared to be a living boulder. It had four arms, the main two were used by this creature to lift things such as boulders, or for offense--these two arms were longer than the other. The shorter two were used as a form of defense against the enemy's attacks. This was Graveler, the Rock Pokemon and the evolved form of Geodude. It is said they often roll down mountains at high speeds, crushing any objects in their way. I felt grateful that this had not rolled down form the mountain, because that could have been a problem...

"Kipper, can you handle this one?" With a shutting eye, my brave starter Pokemon faintly nodded a "yes". I nodded, smiling happily. "Okay, Whirlpool quickly! Before you fall asleep!" I shouted out my commands rapidly, hoping Kipper would not fall asleep just yet.
