"Rex, you got a run to go on!" A nice brunette haired lady said. I just rolled my eyes. I wasn't really in the mood to go on a run at the moment.

"Can't one of my brothers get it?" I grumbled, "or anyone else in this office?"

"No one is here but you and Leo, and he said to bring this to you." She said, placing a file on my desk.

"Of course he did," I sighed, "Alright then, I'll take it." I grabbed the folder off of my desk and a small bag by the door and left. " Colossus, let's get going." I called out. Colossus. He was sitting under the tree as usual. Colossus was my small blue Golett, and my partner Pokemon. He didn't want to evolve and I didn't want to push him. Plus, I liked him as a Golett anyways. The small blue robot got up and moved my way.

"Woods is just a little that way so I guess we can walk." I said as we began our way to the woods. I just hope we don't get a Trainer like James, he was annoying.

"Golett!" He called out happily.

After a few moments of walking, we made it to the woods. We just sat by the gate and waited for out Trainer to arrive.

ooc: In the title its Kantomasta, not HoennMasta oh and im actually at 0 money.


I saw a ranger sitting at the front gate to the woods, and i assumed he was going to be the ranger to take me into my first run of the National Park. I looked down at my only pokemon, Sparky. She also saw the ranger and ran up to him, greeting him with a lick to the nose.

I chuckled and jogged over. I picked up the yellow mouse, and sat her on the ground. "Sorry about that," I apologized. I looked into the woods, looking for signs of any pokemon. "I'm Damian Hikotashi, any chance that you are my ranger?" I asked. I messed with my baseball cap, looking down at Sparky. Sparky smiled at me, and I couldn't wait to go out for our first trip.

It was about three minutes after we arrived that our Trainer showed up. His Pikachu ran up to me and licked my nose. I wanted to push it off me, but that's why my brother put my on probation. I let out a fake laught and got up. I was going to try to not be an ass this run. It was his first and part of me didn't want to ruin that experience for him.

"Sorry about that," He apologized. "I'm Damian Hikotashi, any chance that you are my ranger?"

"Yeah, I am. Nice to meet you. I'm Rex and I'll be taking you through the woods today," I said, then mumbled, "Like I have a choice." We walked into the dark woods. Even though it was noon, the area wasn't lit too well because of the tall grouped together trees. It was sort of nice not having to go to a place that was hot. It was nice and cool here. Even though there was no sun, I just threw on my shades to make myself look cooler, had to go in style.

We came across a small shroom on the ground. I was about to pick it up, but then remembered what happened last time I went around grabbing random things. As I had expected, the red shroom was a Parascet. It quickly darted away, leaving its young behind.

"Some parent!" I yelled out. "Want to battle this little Paras?" I asked him

"Yeah, I am. Nice to meet you. I'm Rex and I'll be taking you through the woods today," He said. It sounded like he added something, but I couldnt tell. Oh well. I followed Rex into the woods, and as we were walking, Rex noticed somethin. He started to pick up a Mushroom, when the Mushroom started moving. It was a Parasect! The Parasect ran, leaving its young baby Paras alone.

"Some Parent!" Rex yelled. "Want to battle this little Paras?" he asked.

"I have a feeling that if I don't battle it, the little guy will be orphaned, so let's take it!" I shouted back. I smiled and looked down at Sparky, who ran in front of me, preparing for battle. The little Yellow mouse pokemon stared right at the crab-like pokemon. "Sparky, try starting with a thundershock!"

Sparkys cheecks made static, then shot it at the Paras.

"I have a feeling that if I don't battle it, the little guy will be orphaned, so let's take it!" he shouted back. "Sparky, try starting with a Thundershock!"

Pikachu sent out a bolt of electricity towards Paras. The small fungus dug itself into the ground, channeling the electricity though his body. It was pretty smart of him to do that. I wondered who taught him that since since his parents didn't seem to care about him. He must have learned on his own.

Paras lunged forward, slashing his claw-like pinsers at the small electric mouse. Pikachu gained a few cuts on his body, but nothing serious. The small mouse prepared himself for his next orders from his Trainer. Paras however, didn't want to wait. He began glowing green as his body seemed to grow larger.

The Paras dug itself into the ground to channel the electricity. It was a smart move, I'll admit. Too bad i had more tricks as well.

The orange crab-like pokemon lunged towards Sparky, and Scratched her. I could tell Sparky felt the attack, but she was barely hurt. Before I could issue my next move the Paras moved again. It began glowing green and glowing at the same time. Growth.

"Ok Sparky, try a Swift!" I shouted. The little yellow mouse jumped up and began shooting orange stars at the Paras.

Ranger : Rex

Location : Outpost #3 (Woods)

"Ok Sparky, try a Swift!" He shouted. The small rodent jumped into the air and began shooting white small stars at the walking mushroom. The small Bug Pokemon was pelted several times by the attack, but it didn't appear to do much damage to it. The shroom didn't stay down for long. Within seconds, it was back up and ready to go.

Paras had many weakness, but electricity wasn't one of them. In fact, it pretty much resisted it. Electrical attacks did damage, but it was able to handle it more than a Fire type move. Paras began digging in the ground, its claws growing larger and larger each second. It was powering up its attack even more. When it was done, its large claws were now glowing a bright white. Paras lunged at Pikachu and began slashing at the electric mouse.

The attack looked quite powerful, and Pikachu seemed to be taking quite a beating. It didn't look good. Suddenly, a small spark of electricity surrounded Paras and shocked the Grass Pokemon. It was the Mouse Pokemon's special ability, Static. It appeared to have kicked in. This was a good sign for Damian.

The white stars hit the crab, but like the ime before, it dug itself into the ground before to conduct some of the attack. The Paras' claws started to glow white and grow, then kept growing until they were multiple times their original size. Paras jumped forward and slashed Sparky. The electric mouse was hurt, and i felt sorry for her. Then, something mircoulous happened.

Static began forming itself around the orange crab. It was Paralysed! Maybe I could pull off a win here. I would need a better attack though. I quicky ran through Sparkys moves in my mind. The first move that would do more damage came to mind almost immediately. " Ok Sparky, give it a slam!" I shouted.

The yellow mouse charged at Paras, preparing to slam it.

Ranger : Rex

"Ok Sparky, give it a slam!" Damian called out. That move didn't have a high accuracy rate, but since Paras was paralyzed, it was going to be much easier to hit. The electric mouse darted off towards the dual typed Pokemon. He jumped into the air and slammed down hard on Paras. The small mushroom Pokemon flinched a little. I saw the sparks of electricity around Paras' body disappear. That didn't mean the paralysis was wearing off, it just meant that it was able to move right now. The paralysis would kick back in at anytime.

Paras quickly slashed Pikachu hard with a Fury Cutter attack. It was a pretty weak move, but powered up by his stat boosts it would do a decent amount of damage. Not to mention he was going to have to watch out because if Paras used Fury Cutter again, it would do twice as much as it did before. Paras retreated back and waited for Pikachu and Damian to make their next move. For a Pokemon that was just abandoned by his parents, he was battling pretty well.

Sparky managed to land a pretty powerful slam on the orange crab. Damian realized that one more good attack would make it pretty weak. As those thughts proccessed, the Paras attacked again. The sparks dissapeared, meaning the Paras could attack once before the Paralysis formed again.

Paras slashed his claws on Sparky multiple times before the Paralysis returned. A Fury Cutter. The attack didn't damage my electric mouse very much though, whic was a good thing. I considered my attacks again, then an idea formed. "Sparky, use a quick attack and use the speed to make an ultra powerful slam!" I shouted.

The yellow electric mouse took off at an amazing speed. Running towards the crab, Sparky suddenly turned her shoulder, preparing to slam the Paras. I smiled, seeing that my plan was set and in action.

"Sparky, use a Quick Atta-ck and use the speed to make an ultra powerful Slam!" He shouted. The plan itself sounded pretty good, but Damien forgot that Paras was good at close ranged attacks. With paralysis, it was going to require more far ranged attacks than those close ranged attacks, but since Pikachu was coming in for a Slam attack, I knew the small Bug Pokemon was going to take advantage of that.

Pikachu took off at amazing speed, all I could see was like a white blur. The small energetic electric Pokemon slammed hard once more into the shroom Pokemon. Paras cringed in pain. Because of the paralysis, Paras couldn't dodge the attack. I felt a little bad for the Paras, but he was just going to have to find a way out of that situation.

Paras slashed hard at Pikachu again, doing the same move as before. This one however, sent the small yellow rodent flying back. It was obviously supposed to do more damage than before, which was actually what Fury Cutter was supposed to do, but this one didn't seem as powerful. I just shrugged, I couldn't figure out why. Pikachu just picked herself back up and readied for whatever her Trainer wanted her to do. Paras, however, remained motionless on the field. This was a good time for Damien to use a Parkball. I felt he had a good chance at capturing this Pokemon if he did now. At least if he did, Paras would have a better home and someone who probably won't abandon him.

Sparky slammed the Paras hard. Paras cringed, and i knew what I needed to do. Before i was able to reach for my bag though, the orange crab attacked. His claws grew and he repeatedly slashed Sparky. She was sent flying backwards.

“Sparky are you okay?” I asked, looking in her direction. She stood up and ran over, preparing for the next attack. “It’s okay, you can come back”

Sparky ran over to me and looked at me with a puzzled look. I smiled, reaching for my bag. I opened the pokeball compartment and grabbed my only parkball. “Ok Paras, you’re mine,” I said. I tossed the Parkball up into the air, caught it and then gave it a throw. The sphere spun as it was flying, and hit the orange crab. He was turned into a beam of light, then sucked into the small parkball. I held my breath as the ball shook.

“Sparky are you okay?” He asked. “It’s okay, you can come back” The small Pikachu nodded and retreated back to his partner. Damien reached into his bag and pulled out a Parkball. He aimed it at the Paras and threw the ball. The ball soared through the air and hit the Mushroom Pokemon on his left claw. A dark red light came out and engulfed the Grass/Bug type Pokemon and sucked it in.

The ball fell to the ground and shook several times before finally coming to a stop. Even though I didn't want to be here, I had to admit that he did pretty good in this battle for his first run. He was going to have to make more effort on his next battle though, because Pikachu could only battle so much before she tired out and was knocked out.

If he paced it slow, he might get out of here with one more Pokemon, perhaps two depending on him. I walked over towards the Pokeball and picked it up. "Well, congrats. You caught it. Let me know when you are readyto go." I said to him.

"Let's go in here," I said. Sparky ran up to me and then look at the woods. "Maybe we can find abother team member in there."

"Let's go in here," He said. His Pikachu walked over besides him. "Maybe we can find abother team member in there." I nodded in agreement. This Trainer was lucky he got me on a good day and not on one of my grouchy ones.

"Let's just keep going down this path. There should be more Bug type Pokemon here. I'm not really sure what you're looking for, but I'm sure we'll find something interesting." I assured. I heard a rattling sound coming from my left side. I quickly turned, but nothing was there. At first I thought I was losing it, but then I heard it again coming from my right side, then again on my left. There was definitely something here, more than likely more that one Pokemon. Nothing I knew in this area moved that fast, at least nothing I could think of.

I just shrugged it off thinking it was just one of the Pokemon here playing games with us. I began walking, making sure my Trainer was still following me. I saw a trail that led to more rare and interesting Pokemon, but before I could reach it or let my Trainer know, something hit me on my head hard, which caused me to fall to the ground. I slowly sat up and saw a Venipede staring up at me.

"Ugh, you rude son of a b-" I started to say, but then the bug shot its silky thread in my face. I angrily got up and took the thread off of my face. I pulled out a Pokeball and was about to have one of my Pokemon battle it, but then I realized all my Pokemon could knock it out in one hit and it wouldn't be fair. Not only that, I was supposed to have my Trainer do the battling.

"Do you want to battle this Pokemon?" I asked. "If so, kick his ass."

"Let's just keep going down this path. There should be more Bug type Pokemon here. I'm not really sure what you're looking for, but I'm sure we'll find something interesting." Rex said. I smiiled and laughed.

"I don't really know what im looking for either, im just looking for some bugs," I replied. We walked along the trail, with my trying to keep up with Rex. He had to have been here before, with how fast he was going. I heard some noises and the bushes around us, and I saw my Ranger look around. I kept quiet, even though I was nevous. I picked up Sparky and continued following.

All of a sudden, out of nowhere, an object flew out of a tree and hit my Ranger on the head. It was a Venipede. "Ugh, you rude son of a b-" Rex was about to say, when the bug attacked his face with a string shot. After wiping the string off, Rex looked at me. "Do you want to battle this Pokemon?" he asked. "If so, kick his ass."

I looked down at the yellow rodent in my arms, and she smiled up at me. "It will be my pleasure," I calmly replied. "Sparky, thundershock him to start things off, then follow with a slam!" I shouted. Sparky's cheeks formed some electricity, then shot some at the redish bug pokemon.

"It will be my pleasure," He said, sounding rather calm. "Sparky, Thundershock him to start things off, then follow with a Slam!" He called out. I was glad he was battling this Pokemon, because if he didn't then I was going to, and that was something the Venipede would not want.

If he caught this Venipede, at least he could train it to not be so rude. That would be nice. His Pikachu didn't waste anytime. She began charging her Electric attack through her red cheek pockets on the sides of her face. They sort of reminded me of a clown face, but I didn't say that since I didn't want to hurt its feelings or anything.

The bolt of electricity flew out of its cheeks and into the Venipedes purple segmented body. Unlike Paras, Venipede wasn't as resistant to electricity as he was. He felt more damage, which was a good thing for Damian. Perhaps this battle would be faster. If anything, he would have an easier time with this one... so long as it didn't pull any tricks. Pikachu ran forward and pushed herself off of the ground with her two small feet. She went at least five feet into the air and came hard down on Venipede. If it was a Body Slam attack, that might have paralyzed it.

Venipede cringed at the attack. It know knew what it was up against. I was glad it was at least getting what it desvered. Venipede dug its claws into the ground and upheaved a couple of rocks, making a small mound with Pikachu on top. The Bug Pokemon quickly climbed it and hit the electric mouse hard. Then the centipede retreated back and began shooting small poison missels at Pikachu. She was going to have to find a good way to dodge them or she might risk getting poisoned.

Sparky was running towards the Venipede, covered in electricity, when all of a sudden the electricity stopped and the speed helped Sparky slam the bug. Venipede didn't waste any time though, as he jumped back up and began piling rocks. With Sparky at the top of the pile, the Venipede climbed and slammed Sparky. The purple bug retreated and began shooting purple beams at Sparky. I knew that i needed a way to avoid the attack, to resist poisoning.

I quickly checked my surroundings. Trees and grass. Not much, but it was enough. "Ok girl, use thundershock on a limb to knock it infront of you!" I shouted. Sparky created electricity around her cheeks and shot it at the closest branch.

 

@KantoMastaGender on Venipede? Also, made this little problem so you could get more MCR. You have to put the fire out before you continue though

I saw Damien quickly scan his surroundings to see what he could use to block the attack. There wasn't much to use, but he decided to use the branches for some protection. "Ok girl, use Thundershock on a limb to knock it infront of you!" He called out. The small Electric-type mouse moved back a little and launched a bolt of electricity at the branch above her.

The branch fell off, but the electricity caused a piece of remaining branch to begin smoking. I moved my eyes off of the branch and saw the Poison Sting attack hit the branch, however, it didn't block all of the attack like Damian had wanted. Pikachu got hit, but she didn't seem to have much damage done to her and didn't seem poisoned. Then I smelt smoke and saw the branch that Pikachu shocked catch fire.

"You have to put that out quickly before it burns down the entire tree. Maybe you can get Venipede to help you." I said to Damien. I was too drawn into the battle that I didn't notice the branch had caught fire. It was my job to protect the park from stuff like this, but I had missed it. "Colossus, get in the middle. Make sure the battle stops for now." Colossus jumped over Pikachu and moved into the middle of Venipede and Pikachu. He stood there and made sure neither Pokemon attacked until the fire was put out.

I watched as the broken branch hit the ground and block some of the poison attack. Unfortanately, the branch couldn't block the whole attack. I thought I smelt smoke, but the thought just crossed my mind as I thought of my next attack. I could continue with my usual strategy, but Venipede would catch on to it "Ok Spa-" I began to say.

"You have to put that out quickly before it burns down the entire tree. Maybe you can get Venipede to help you." Rex said. I heard him say that, and i was shocked. I looked up to see a few branches flaming and smoking above up. Uh-Oh.

I began panicking. The first thing you do in a situation like this, the first thing you had to do was panic, right? No! What was I saying, I can't panic. Or can I. Maybe I'll just act like I dont see it and continue the battle. Ok Sparky, use-" I was cut off again.

"Colossus, get in the middle. Make sure the battle stops for now." Rex commanded. Oh great, now I couldn't ignore it. I began attempting to form a plan. I didn't have much time, and the tree was burning quickly. I had an idea, but it relied on Venipede.

"Venipede, your the only chance this tree has. If you want to save your tree, you forest, all you friends that live in the forest, work with us, please. Help us, save the the tree, save the forest. Venipede, use rock climg to pile rocks for Sparky to get on top of and break the smoking branch. Sparky, I'm gonna need you to use thundershock to break off the flaming branches into this clearing, then we can go from there," I said. I watched Venipede, seeing if he would work together with us...
