General Park Discussion/Feedback/Questions

It closed because it was quite easy and fast to obtain lots of Pokemon, which isn't the point of the URPG.

The Park is actually ready to reopen, we just need 5 active Rangers before DoH will open it again.

I'm one.

Not sure if DoH counts.

Don't know of any other confirmed rangers.

So, we need three/four more Rangers before the Park opens.

 

I'm pretty sure she does lol, Sec and I are two once our tests come back.

also i was wondering how th park changed to make catching pokemon harder?

omg i totally had the same problem! to help lets just ignore the special map part, focus on the pokemon and the area. Probopass and arcanine and Mt. Deckbi. do they have equl chances of being found on the mountain. if you still need help, just ak bumblebee, he helped me with my test!

EDIT: also it helped me to go onto the old ranger explorations and read them. it helps you with the scenario questions.

 

Just forget about the Special Map, it is no longer used.

As for the Probopass/Arcanine question, it is one of the three or so I failed (I still passed overall though). Hint: Think VERY carefully about the ENTIRE QUESTION. There's a little bit in there that makes the choice obvious if you know your Pokemon.

EDIT: I forgot to answer the question about the Park edits. Basically, the main things that make it a little harder now are the Escape Attempts and the Character Count.

Each time a person Encounters a Pokemon (with a couple exceptions) they now have to pass an Escape Attempt before they can flee. This means that Trainers now can't speedrun their entire way through the Park, battling only the cream of the crop.

The Character Count is something new, that I'm guessing is a shout out to the way Stories work. Basically, the Trainer has to post a certain amount of characters in their posts before a capture can even be attempted. This stops Trainers with pimped out Pokemon flattening wilds without much effort.

im glad that i can choose new pokes when i become a ranger so that i can at least PRETEND that i have some pimped out pokes that tear through wild pokes.

And I was thinking more of a Ponyta or Raticate or something with Run Away (it's not useless any more DD)

well i just read a ranger exploratio with an eevee and a flygon. eevee has runaway so its useful to bring if you want to be able to make quick escapes and dont want to (or dont have the stone to) evolve it.

 

Couple things:

First of all, we currently have four active Rangers (including DoH), so not long now!

Also, question regarding the digital camera: if I have one, and during a Woods run I get two Celebi encounters and successfully take pictures both times, do I get to claim money on both of them?

TL;DR: Is there a limit on the number of pictures you can take per species per run?

Just a quick note, some of you have taken the Ranger QUIZ, which is the first part to becoming a Ranger. Now you need to take the Ranger TEST, if you've passed your Quiz. Passing that makes you a full Ranger.

Also, I was hoping for the capture calc to be edited by now, but I think Phoenix has been a bit busy. Until we get that we really can't reopen the Park, unless you guys wanna figure the extra sections manually XD.

EDIT: Also, for the question regarding Arca/Probo, just read it as "Do they have an equal chance of appearing". Ignore the Map part, since we no longer use maps. I'll edit that soon, and I might also edit in a few more questions to do with the new changes and everything, but I'm not sure yet.
