Trainers' Estate: Grounds- Lake

*Casey stood up, breathed in the fresh lake air, and started walking around the edge of the lake. He examined the area around him, taking in all of the scenery*

"This lake is beautiful!!!" *Casey yelled as it echoed across the lake*
*Afew moments later, Casey stopped and said to himself...*

"Wheres Cat and Ace?"

 

Ace ran down the hills, breathing deeply and red in the face.
"I win again!" He yelled, and came to a halt by Casey. "Sorry for the wait, we got a bit- WOAH!" Ace cried, and stared across the beautiful surface of the lake in awe.

 

"Ethan you cheater! Of course ya'd win since ya had a head start!" Cat shouted at him as she raced over the hill with her pokemon and down to where he and Casey stood. As she got closer though, she slipped on a patch of wet grass and ended up falling, landing on her back with a loud 'thud'. "Ow....geez....that seriously hurt..." As Cat slowly sat up, rubbing her now sore head and back, her pokemon quickly came to her side. Her Luxray and Umbreon nudging her hand and arm, silently asking if she was ok, while her Mismagius, Swellow, and Hoppip hovered over her.

 

"Oh, sorry!" Ace said, and extended a hand to help her out. While he did, he looked at Casey apologetically. "Again, I am so sorry! So, what do you two want to do?"

 

Kiryu smiled as Sakura curled around her new friend and mewed.

 

"Its no prob Ethan" Cat quickly grabbed hold of Ethan's offered hand and pulled herself up, as soon as she managed to right herself, she went to work calming her pokemon down. They were still worried she might be hurt and huddled around her to make sure she wouldn't fall again. "Its ok guys, I'm alright. No harm done, see?" As proof that she was ok, she took a few steps away from them all and did a few cart-wheels, landing right back up on her feet. "Ya see? I'm not hurt at all"

Seeing that she was ok, her pokemon instantly relaxed and proceeded to explore the lake grounds. Her Luxray and Umbreon, Ace and Artemis, headed for the nearest tree and started napping peacefully in the shade; while Zenith, her Swellow, took to the skies. Amulet, her newly evolved Mismagius, decided to roam around looking for something fun to do; as her Hoppip, Pluffy, simply went over to a flower patch and enjoyed their sweet scents.

Cat smiled as she watched her pokemon go off to have fun by themselves. "Well now that I know those guys are taken care of....I'm up for anything really, we can read our books or do something else"

 

Ace had put his books over by the hill, and didn't feel like readign at the moment.
"Why don't we have some fun competitions? We are out in the open air, and it would be nice to have a bit of fun!" Ace suggested. He looked around the lake, and could see other people nearby. But he got an idea.
"A race!" He exclaimed.

 

"A race?" asked Matt, "That's my idea of fun! Count me in!" Elekid started whirling its arms, shocking its trainer in the process. Matt simply laughed as he was shocked; he was used to it since he had been shocked so many times prior to coming to the Estate.

 

*Casey stood with Ace and Cat as they discussed their game. All of his Pokemon, along with Cats napped and roamed around the lake*

"Hmmm...A race you say? How about a marathon? We can have some checkpoints around the lake, on the islands in the middle, and up the hills?"

*Casey stood silently awaiting everyones thoughts on his game*

 

"A marathon could be a bit complicated, as we want to explore everywhere, don't we?" Ace said. "But maybe we could have a two stage race: to the middle of the lake, and then to the other side."

 

"Let's do it!" Matt cheered, already fired up about the race. Elekid started to run around impatiently.

 

Ace was surprised by the shout, and turned around.
"Oh, hello there." He said to the boy with the Elekid. "I was mainly talking to Casey and Cat, but you can join in as well if they are fine with it. Introduce yourself next time."

 

"Thats fine Ace." Do we have Pokemon that can make it to the island and the other side? We might need either Flying or Water types."

*As Casey mentioned this, his large Noctowl, Hoohoo flew down to his side and gently pushed its head against Caseys waist*

"I guess Ill use Noctowl for it if thats fine?"

 

"Sounds like a good idea to me, I can use Zenith to fly across" Cat looked up to the clear blue sky, shielding her eyes from the bright sun she spotted her Swellow and called out to him. "Hey! Zenith! You up for a race?"

"Swe-Swellow!" Zenith circled above them a few times before dive-bombing down to them at breakneck speeds, easily pulling up at the last minute and with a flap of his mighty wings, landed gracefully on the ground beside Cat. "I'll take that as a yes"

 

*Casey watched Swellow as it gently touched the ground and landed next to Cat. He looked over to Ace to see his reaction*

"So Ace, you got a water or flying type you can use?"

 

Ace grinned, and looked in the direction of the Moltres Hall. He out two fingers into his mouth and whistled. Suddenly, in the distance, a large black figure rose out of the hall, and then flew quickly towards him.
"Star!" Starlight exclaimed, and landed next to HooHoo and Zenith.
"Let's make it a race of the regional birds!" Ace said with a beam, and climbed onto Starlight's back.

 

Matt turned to the trainer on the Staraptor, "Sorry for not introducing myself earlier. Anyway, the name's Matt. What's yours?"

 

"I'm Ace, and these are my friends, Casey and Cat." Ace explained. "Do you want to take part in our race as well?"

 

Boaz wandered casually along the shore of the lake, enjoying a rare moment of calm in his otherwise hectic life. He watched his Pokémon splashing about and enjoying themselves, even the usually more serious Glaurung, wishing that he could be as carefree as they were; somewhere along the way in his life he'd forgotten how to just sit back and have fun.

Then again it was hardly surprising, he spent most days either directly combating Team Rocket or trying to escape their clutches. The only times he could remember having loosened up recently was when they'd first arrived at the Mansion, and that had mostly been for the benefit of his Pokémon. In fact, Boaz realised, he rarely even smiled any more except to keep his Pokémon in the dark as to how tired he was of things (although he suspected that Sam's Psychic abilities allowed him to pick up on his feelings anyway).

((Sorry I havn't been very active in the Trainer's Estate, I've been a little busy, plus it's a bit difficult putting myself back into Boaz's frame of mind from before the most recent chapter of his story. Hopefully it'll be graded soon and I can have him dissapear and come back with his refreshed and renewed team.))

 

"Well, I wanna head back inside." She stated and clambered onto Sapphire's back, with Amethyst in front of her. "Get some rest, okay Kiryu?" Serenity wanted to go somewhere peaceful, as the lake was beginning to get crowded.
